Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is a global health problem that can results in cirrhosis, hepatocellular carcinoma and even death. HCV infection is 3-20-fold more prevalent among patients with versus without severe mental illness (SMI), such as major depressive disorder, personality disorder, bipolar disorder and schizophrenia. Treatment options for HCV were formerly based on pegylated interferon alpha, which is associated with neuropsychiatric adverse events, and this contributed to the exclusion of patients with SMI from HCV treatment, elimination programmes, and clinical trials. Moreover, the assumption of poor adherence, scant access to healthcare and the stigma and vulnerability of this population emerged as barriers and contributed to the low rates of treatment and efficacy.This paper reviews the literature published between December 2010 and December 2020 exploring the epidemiology of HCV in patients with SMI, and vice versa, the effect of HCV infection, barriers to the management of illness in these patients, and benefits of new therapeutic options with pangenotypic direct antiviral agents (DAAs).The approval of DAAs has changed the paradigm of HCV infection treatment. DAAs have proven to be an equally efficacious and safe option that improves quality of life (QoL) in patients SMI.Knowledge of the consequences of the HCV infection and the benefits of treatment with new pangenotypic DAAs among psychiatrists can increase screening, referral and treatment of HCV infection in patients with SMI.

We extend the theory of optimal redistributive taxation to economies with an informal sector. In particular, in our model, workers can supply labor simultaneously to the formal and the informal sectors, which we call moonlighting. The optimal tax formula contains two novel terms capturing informality responses on an intensive and an extensive margin. Both terms decrease the optimal tax rates. We estimate the model with Colombian data and find that informality strongly reduces tax rates at all income levels. The possibility to migrate to entirely informal employment restricts tax rates at low and medium income levels, while the possibility of moonlighting is relevant at higher earnings.

Objetivos: O transtorno depressivo maior (TDM) é uma das doenças mentais mais incapacitantes, com um impacto significativo na sociedade. Esta revisão tem o objetivo de apresentar evidências científicas atualizadas sobre a epidemiologia do TDM. Métodos: Uma revisão sistemática da literatura dos bancos de dados PubMed e MEDLINE foi realizada para identificar artigos sobre a prevalência de TDM e seus correlatos. A busca foi restrita a manuscritos publicados entre janeiro de 2001 e dezembro de 2018. Resultados: Sessenta e três artigos foram incluídos na revisão. A prevalência de TDM ao longo da vida variou de 2 a 21%, com as taxas mais altas sendo encontradas em alguns países europeus e as mais baixas em alguns países asiáticos. Os principais correlatos sociodemográficos foram o estado civil separado/divorciado e o sexo feminino. Abuso infantil, violência praticada por parceiro íntimo e comorbidade com outros transtornos físicos e mentais também estiveram consistentemente associados ao TDM nos estudos revisados. Conclusões: TDM é uma doença altamente prevalente em todo o mundo. Existem diferenças inter-regionais notáveis na prevalência do transtorno, bem como em certos correlatos sociodemográficos. TDM também é altamente comórbido com problemas de saúde física e mental.

En Perú existen 48 lenguas con diferentes grados de uso y dominio de acuerdo a la necesidad lingüística de cada comunidad. En Ayacucho, uno de sus 24 departamentos, destaca la lengua quechua por el incremento de su uso en los últimos años, incluso en los espacios académicos de estudios superiores de pre- y posgrado. El objetivo del presente artículo es construir un glosario de palabras, frases y oraciones en quechua y castellano de uso frecuente en Educación Física; sobre la base de la identificación de sustantivos, adjetivos, verbos y adverbios. A partir de la metodología básica de carácter descriptiva analítica y de diseño no experimental se registró el glosario de palabras. Los resultados indican las palabras quechua de mayor uso en Educación Física son los adverbios, seguidas de los verbos, adjetivos y, en menor medida, los sustantivos.

El objetivo principal de este artículo es analizar las actitudes de los pobladores de Raucana, comunidad ubicada en el distrito de Ate, perteneciente al Cono Este de Lima metropolitana durante el Conflicto Armado Interno 1. Para ello, en el presente artículo, discuto cómo esta comunidad «Base de apoyo», generada por el aparato organizativo del Partido Comunista del Perú-Sendero Luminoso, desarrolló diversas actitudes contra la presencia y predominio senderista, las cuales se tradujeron en una aceptación inicial, ambigüedad o indiferencia para luego mutar en un rechazo hacia Sendero Luminoso y, finalmente, la aceptación de un nuevo orden contra la intervención del Ejército y el desarrollo de un clientelismo estatal.

In this work, fern-leaf-like BiVO4 was used to photocatalytically reduce Cr6+ in water. Nanosized BiVO4 displayed bandgap energy and specific surface area of 2.49 eV and 5.65 m2 g−1, respectively. Metallic Au nanoparticles were deposited on the BiVO4 to increase the photocatalytic performance. To optimize the reaction conditions, the sacrificial agents methanol, ethanol, formic acid, dimethyl sulfoxide, and KI were tested, while different catalyst dosages and Au loadings were assessed. The best sacrificial agent was formic acid, which was used at an optimal concentration of 0.01 mol L−1. The complete removal of Cr6+ was attained after 90 min of visible light irradiation using a catalyst dosage of 1.5 g L−1. Depositing metallic Au nanoparticles barely improved the photocatalytic performance, thus unmodified BiVO4 was used to remove Cr6+ in tap water. The matrix effect slowed the photocatalytic process, and the complete removal of Cr6+ was achieved in 120 min. Cr3+ and Cr6+ species were precipitated on the catalyst surface at the end of the photocatalytic process; still, BiVO4 displayed high stability after three reaction cycles.

Resumen El higado ectopico (HE) es una entidad infrecuente, debida a la migracion aberrante de las celulas hepaticas durante la embriogenesis. La incidencia se estima entre el 0,24 y el 0,47%. Puede presentarse en numerosas localizaciones, siendo la vesicula la localizacion mas comun. Existen alrededor de 100 casos publicados de HE, de los cuales 28 han desarrollado carcinoma hepatocelular (CHC); mientras que el higado ortotopico no presenta ninguna alteracion; todos provienen de la literatura asiatica y caucasica. Reportamos el caso de un paciente de 42 anos con lesion solida de 17 × 12 × 12 cm, aparentemente dependiente de la pared posterior del cuerpo gastrico, y con desplazamiento de numerosas visceras, sugiriendo como posibilidad diagnostica GIST. Mientras que, otras estructuras como el higado y las vias biliares fueron topograficamente normales. El estudio anatomopatologico concluyo que la tumoracion descrita correspondia a un CHC originado en un HE.

Resumen El carcinoma coloide ( CC ) es una variante histologica inusual del adenocarcinoma ductal del pancreas, el cual se caracteriza por la presencia de grandes lagos de mucina extracelular que contiene celulas neoplasicas y esta asociado a una mejor sobrevida a los cinco anos, comparada con los adenocarcinomas ductales (DAC) tubulares o no tipo especial (NOS). Presentamos el caso de una paciente mujer de 74 anos con una lesion multiquistica de tabiques finos en cola de pancreas con diagnostico clinico radiologico sugestivo de cistoadenoma seroso vs. neoplasia mucinosa. En el acto operatorio se evidencio una lesion de 10 x 6 cm, que infiltraba hilio esplenico y mesocolon transverso. Por otro lado, se identificaron dos nodulos en la pared del fondo gastrico que tambien fue resecado en conjunto. El estudio anatomopatologico concluyo que la tumoracion del pancreas correspondia a un CC asociado incidentalmente a un tumor del estroma gastrointestinal (GIST) de fondo gastrico.

To study differences in oxidative stress markers and antioxidants among patients with bipolar depression (BPD) and unipolar depression (UPD).Data sources. Electronic MEDLINE/PubMed/Cochrane Library/Scopus/TripDatabase database search until 30/06/2021.Included were articles comparing antioxidant or oxidative stress markers between adults with BPD or UPD and healthy controls (HCs).Two authors extracted data independently. Random effects meta-analysis, calculating standardized mean differences for results from ≥3 studies.Oxidative stress markers reported in 40 studies -1 published repeatedly- (UPD, studies = 30 n = 3072; their HCs, n = 2856; BPD, studies = 11 n = 393; their HCs, n = 540; with 1 study reporting on both UPD and BPD) included thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), antioxidant uric acid and antioxidant-enhancing enzymes superoxide dismutase (SOD), catalase (CAT) and glutathione-peroxidase (GPX). Compared with HCs, UPD and BPD were associated with significantly higher levels of TBARS, without differences between UPD and BPD (P = 0.11). Compared with HCs, UPD and BPD did not differ regarding the activity of the CAT (P = 0.28), SOD (P = 0.87) and GPX (P = 0.25) enzymes. However, uric acid levels were significantly higher vs HCs in BPD than in UPD among adult patients (P = 0.004). Results were heterogenous, which, for some parameters, decreased after stratification by the blood source (serum, plasma red blood cells, whole blood).The main limitations are the small number of studies/participants in the BPD subgroup, and heterogeneity of the results.Both BPD and UPD may be associated with an impaired oxidative stress balance, with significantly higher uric acid levels vs. HCs in UPD than in BPD.

We propose an original theoretical framework that models early investment decisions of digital platform startups and use it to study how merger and acquisition policy affects consumer welfare by shaping such decisions. We formalize the investment options faced by digital platforms into a dual margin: investment in ‘customer engagement technology’, directed towards expanding the user base and in ‘intermediation technology’, directed towards lowering operational costs. Synergies through technological transfer and increased investment incentives in customer engagement explain consumer welfare improvements in the case of M&As occurring between platforms with disjoint user bases. On the other hand, lower competition erodes consumer welfare in the case of allowing M&As between platforms with overlapping user bases. We conclude that M&A policy guidance should depend on the relationship between the incumbent’s and startup’s target users and on the ability of the startup to catch up with the incumbent. Introduction In recent years, the number of malaria cases in native communities from Condorcanqui, Amazonas has considerably increased. Plasmodium vivax malaria is endemic in the region and the re-introduction of P. falciparum was reported in 2019. Methods Here, we compiled and analyzed malaria and COVID-19 data reported by the Regional Direction of Health (DIRESA) during the 2020. Additionally, we performed an odds ratio analysis to evaluate significant associations between COVID-19 symptoms and previous malaria infections. Results In 2020, 1547 malaria (97% were P. vivax) and 5968 COVID-19 cases were reported. Furthermore, 96 patients got COVID-19 after getting a malaria infection. From these, 87 were symptomatic (90.6%), and mostly adults, ages 30 to 59 (62.3%). Also, we found that malaria previous infections represent a risk for the presence of symptoms such as fever, cough, throat pain, and respiratory difficulty. Nevertheless, there was no significant association between these cases and hospitalization or death. Conclusion Our analysis suggests that previous malaria infections might affect COVID-19 symptomatology, which highlights the importance of a continuing control and surveillance malaria program to avoid potential syndemics with COVID-19.

Resumen El presente artículo de investigación destaca el diseño de una estrategia de adopción de buenas prácticas de Gobierno de las Tecnologías de la Información (GTI) en las PYMES de la ciudad de Neiva, afiliadas a COMFAMILIAR. La investigación se realiza con base a un método cualitativo de tipo descriptivo, en una población de 1.550 PYMES, analizando una muestra de 309 empresas, las cuales son caracterizadas según los principios de GTI. El marco de referencia que mejor responde al estudio, es la Biblioteca de Infraestructura de Tecnologías de la Información (ITIL), de enfoque operativo, que permite mejorar la entrega de valor de los servicios en las empresas. Realizada la socialización de la estrategia, se encuentra que el 96% de las PYMES, demuestran interés en iniciar procesos de adopción de buenas prácticas de GTI para fortalecer correctamente la alineación estratégica de las tecnologías de la información con los objetivos del negocio y generar valor en la gestión operativa y organizacional de las empresas a través de alianzas estratégicas que permitan dar a conocer y optimizar el posicionamiento de las PYMES entre los grupos de interés. JEL: D21; O10; O12; O31; O32 Abstract The following research article shows the design of a strategy for the adoption of good practices of Information Technology Governance (GTI) in the SMEs of the city of Neiva, affiliated with COMFAMILIAR. The research is carried out based on a descriptive qualitative method, in a population of 1,550 SMEs, analyzing a sample of 309 companies, which are characterized according to the GTI principles. The reference framework that best responds to the study is the Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), with an operational approach, which allows improving the value delivery of services in companies. After the socialization of the strategy, it is found that 96% of SMEs show interest in starting processes of adoption of good GTI practices to correctly strengthen the strategic alignment of information technologies with business objectives and generate value in the operational and organizational management of companies through strategic alliances that make it possible to publicize and optimize the positioning of SMEs among interest groups. O framework de referência que melhor responde ao estudo é a Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL), com uma abordagem operacional, que permite melhorar a entrega de valor dos serviços nas empresas. Após a socialização da estratégia, verifica-se que 96% das PMEs demonstram interesse em iniciar processos de adoção de boas práticas de GTI para fortalecer corretamente o alinhamento estratégico das tecnologias da informação com os objetivos do negócio e gerar valor na gestão operacional e organizacional das empresas por meio de alianças estratégicas que permitem divulgar e otimizar o posicionamento das PMEs junto aos grupos de interesse. Introducción: El Índice de CPO-D es uno de los indicadores epidemiológicos más comunes empleado para evaluar la prevalencia de dientes cariados, perdidos y obturados, se define en dentición permanente a partir de los 12 años y según parámetros establecidos es interpretado la severidad; el objetivo es determinar el Índice de CPO-D en los adolescentes de las unidades educativas del municipio de Colcapirhua. Metodología: es un estudio descriptivo, de cohorte transversal, observacional y prospectivo, la población se conformó con 2919 estudiantes de 12 a 17 años, la técnica utilizada fue la observación, los datos fueron recolectados por medio de instrumentos odontológicos, espejo y explorador y los datos fueron registrados en la ficha clínica odontológica. Resultados: se reporta un índice de CPO-D de 7,9 muy alto en los sujetos de información, de acuerdo a la edad a los 15 años en el sexo femenino muestra 10,2 siendo el más resaltante; se presentan dientes con caries 87,8 %, perdidos 17,4 % y obturados 59,9 %. Discusiones: Las caries dentales en los adolescentes al igual que en otros países es elevado, pero el ICPO-D en Bolivia y en particular en el estudio es muy alto, los valores obtenidos muestran que el Índice de CPO-D es muy significativa y necesita intervención. Esta situación puede ser atribuida a múltiples factores que incrementan la tendencia de esta patología que continúa siendo un problema de salud pública. Introducción. La producción científica en el país puede ser impulsada al identificar su relación con las competencias requeridas para investigar en hospitales e institutos de salud de Lima. Objetivo. Determinar la relación entre las competencias en investigación y producción científica en médicos de hospitales e institutos de salud de Lima, Perú. Métodos. Se realizó un estudio cuantitativo, analítico y correlacional, que incluyó a 100 médicos de hospitales e institutos de salud. Se aplicó el instrumento mejorado y validado denominado “Prueba para evaluar las competencias en Investigación” y se recolectó datos acerca de la producción científica de los médicos. Resultados. La edad media fue de 39 ± 8 años, la población predominante fue de sexo masculino, casados, con labor asistencial, contratados y con especialidad médica. Se encontraron diferencias significativas en las competencias teóricas y cognitivas de los médicos de hospitales e institutos de salud (p=0,005 y p=0,001 respectivamente). Las publicaciones de los médicos de institutos fueron significativamente mayores que los de hospitales (OR: 5,12; 95% IC: 2-12,9; p=0,0004). Actualmente la enseñanza a través de herramientas digitales va en aumento en las instituciones educativas, a partir de los tiempos de pandemia y el confinamiento a nivel mundial. En tal sentido, surgen muchas herramientas digitales en línea como recursos libres; potenciándose de manera interesante para ser usadas por los docentes y propiciar construcción de aprendizaje. El estudio tuvo como objetivo interpretar las herramientas digitales más eficaces en el proceso de enseñanza y aprendizaje en la educación secundaria. La investigación se llevó a cabo bajo una metodología hermenéutica, de enfoque cualitativo; usando como técnica, una entrevista semiestructurada a 9 profesionales expertos en el estado de la cuestión. Se concluyó que las herramientas digitales como las de Google, WhatsApp, Kahoot, Jamboard, Padlet se adecúan cada vez más al proceso pedagógico y se vienen usando con mayor frecuencia actualmente, por lo tanto, se sugiere usar estas herramientas en favor de la educación.

Cancer immunoediting1is a hallmark of cancer2that predicts that lymphocytes kill more immunogenic cancer cells to cause less immunogenic clones to dominate a population. Although proven in mice1,3, whether immunoediting occurs naturally in human cancers remains unclear. Here, to address this, we investigate how 70 human pancreatic cancers evolved over 10 years. We find that, despite having more time to accumulate mutations, rare long-term survivors of pancreatic cancer who have stronger T cell activity in primary tumours develop genetically less heterogeneous recurrent tumours with fewer immunogenic mutations (neoantigens). To quantify whether immunoediting underlies these observations, we infer that a neoantigen is immunogenic (high-quality) by two features—‘non-selfness’ based on neoantigen similarity to known antigens4,5, and ‘selfness’ based on the antigenic distance required for a neoantigen to differentially bind to the MHC or activate a T cell compared with its wild-type peptide. Using these features, we estimate cancer clone fitness as the aggregate cost of T cells recognizing high-quality neoantigens offset by gains from oncogenic mutations. With this model, we predict the clonal evolution of tumours to reveal that long-term survivors of pancreatic cancer develop recurrent tumours with fewer high-quality neoantigens. Thus, we submit evidence that that the human immune system naturally edits neoantigens. Furthermore, we present a model to predict how immune pressure induces cancer cell populations to evolve over time. More broadly, our results argue that the immune system fundamentally surveils host genetic changes to suppress cancer.

Post-psychotic depression (PPD) after a FEP (first-episode psychosis) differs from other depressive symptoms in chronic schizophrenia in its aetiology, symptomatology, and prognostic implications. The objective was to search if any pharmacological or non-pharmacological interventions have proven to be effective on depressive symptoms after a FEP.for this systematic review we systematically searched and screened PubMed for articles published from August 1975 to October 15, 2020, with the terms: treatment AND first-episode psychosis OR post-psychotic OR post-schizophrenic AND depression.we identified 139 articles of which 20 met the inclusion criteria. These interventions were then categorized into four subgroups (antipsychotics, antidepressants, psychological and miscellaneous).this review has several limitations. The reviewed studies were heterogeneous as to assessments, interventions, and samples; furthermore, only one study had PPD in FEP as its primary outcome.to our knowledge, this is the first review of PPD in a FEP's treatment. PPD continues to be a diagnostic and therapeutic challenge. The available evidence for the use of treatment whether pharmacological or non-pharmacological is limited. However, certain approaches such as online therapy and treatment with n-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) show promising results. It could be of interest for future studies to focus not only on the treatment of PPD but also on the diagnostic heterogeneity of the sample and the adaptation of the content of the intervention to the individual.

A novelty g-C3N4/HAp composite photocatalyst was synthetized by precipitation and thermal condensation methods. The composite photocatalyst was studied by XRD technique confirming the presence of both phases in the composite. By FTIR and XPS techniques, the chemical bonds present in the photocatalyst and its components were analyzed. Electron microscopy shows a fine mixture of phases, preserving the lamellar structure of hydroxyapatite. The change in the optical properties of the photocatalyst was investigated by means of UV–vis spectroscopy and its photocatalytic behavior was evaluated for the photoreduction of Cr (VI) in presence of UV and visible light irradiation. g-C3N4/HAp composite showed an increase in its ability to reduce Cr (VI), reaching a total reduction (40 ppm solution) after 25 and 210 min for UV and visible irradiation, respectively. The increase in the photocatalytic activity can be attributed to a synergistic effect produced by the interaction between g-C3N4 and hydroxyapatite.

A documentary review was carried out on the production and publication of research papers on the study of the Distance Education variable during the Pandemic in Latin America. The purpose of the bibliometric analysis proposed in this document is to know the main characteristics of the volume of publications registered in Scopus database during the period 2020-2021 in Latin American countries, achieving the identification of 220 publications. The information provided by this platform was organized by means of tables and figures, categorizing the information by Year of Publication, Country of Origin, Area of Knowledge and Type of Publication. Once these characteristics were described, the position of different authors regarding the proposed topic was referenced by means of a qualitative analysis. Among the main findings of this research, it is found that Brazil, with 104 publications, was the Latin American country with the highest scientific production. Knowledge that made the greatest contribution to the construction of bibliographic material referring to the study of Distance Education during the Covid-19 pandemic was Social Sciences with 100 published documents, and the Type of Publication that was most used during the period indicated above was the Journal Article, representing 66% of the total scientific production.

This study reviews the evidence on ecological momentary interventions (EMIs) for managing and preventing suicidal thoughts and behaviors.This review follows the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-analyses guidelines. Its protocol was registered in the PROSPERO database. We conducted a systematic literature search of five databases: PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science, PsycInfo, and Cochrane library. The most recent search date was 10 September 2021.After screening and full-text review, 27 studies were included, totaling 19 different interventions. Many of the available interventions have not yet been clinically tested. Those that have undergone effectiveness evaluation (10 interventions) showed good rates of effectiveness and feasibility, with some exceptions. The most widely used intervention model is the safety plan, which allows the user to implement coping and distracting strategies in case of suicidal ideation.Ecological momentary interventions provide certain advantages, such as their wide availability, versatility, and potential for customization. These interventions can be useful complements to traditional care, especially in situations in which face-to-face care is not possible. Evidence on the effectiveness of such interventions is still scarce. Furthermore, barriers limiting implementation in clinical practice remain. The constant advance of technology means that these interventions have great potential for improvement in the coming years.

Resumen La inyeccion de gel de acido hialuronico estabilizado (NASHA®-based gel) se utilizo en Europa para el aumento de volumen mamario entre 2006 y 2012. Fue un relleno biodegradable, que requeria de un proceso minimamente invasivo para su administracion, manteniendo el volumen mamario durante 12-24 meses. Presentamos el caso de una paciente con diagnostico de sospecha de lesion mixoide mamaria. Tras la exeresis quirurgica del tumor y el analisis histopatologico se insiste a la paciente sobre sus antecedentes. Esta refiere que hace 13 anos se sometio a un aumento de volumen mamario mediante la inyeccion de gel de acido hialuronico. Los tumores mixoides de mama requieren de exeresis quirurgica para su tratamiento. Su presentacion mas frecuente es como parte del sindrome de Carney. Por ello, la inyeccion de gel de acido hialuronico debe ser tenida en cuenta en el diagnostico diferencial de estas lesiones ya que, a pesar de considerarse biodegradable puede persistir radiologicamente hasta 13 anos despues de su administracion.

Acoustics plays a significant role in various aspects of everyday life and finds applications in diverse fields such as medicine, where ultrasound is used to detect anomalies in the human body, noise pollution control, music, and the study of the universe, among others. This article explores the extent of scientific literature on supercomputing for acoustic simulation. The methodology consists of four steps: formulating research questions, conducting a literature search, selecting highly impactful articles, and data compilation. Out of a total of 211 articles obtained from reviewed databases, including Springer, Google Scholar, ScienceDirect, Scientific Reports, ChEES, Journal of Physics, Hindawi, and Research Article, 20 articles were chosen for analysis. It was concluded that the dynamic study of sound is indeed complex, requiring intensive data processing. This necessitates the use of supercomputers with multiple cores to solve various mathematical models, with the fundamental focus of the study being the resolution of the wave equation.

Clinical high risk of psychosis (CHR-P) population has become an attractive area of interest in preventing transitions to psychosis. The consequences of developing a psychotic disorder may be worse in cases of early onset. Thus, childhood and adolescence represent a critical developmental window, where opportunities to gain social and adaptive abilities depend on the individuals’ neurocognitive performance. There have been previous syntheses of the evidence regarding neurocognitive functioning in CHR-P individuals and its longitudinal changes. However, there has been less focus on children and adolescents at CHR-P. A multistep literature search was performed from database inception until July 15th, 2022. PRIMSA/MOOSE compliant systematic review and PROSPERO protocol were used to identify studies reporting on longitudinal changes in neurocognitive functioning in children and adolescents (mean age of sample ≤ 18 years) at CHR-P and matched healthy control (HC) group. A systematic review of identified studies was then undertaken. Three articles were included, resulting in a total sample size of 151 CHR-P patients [mean (SD) age, 16.48 (2.41) years; 32.45% female] and 64 HC individuals [mean (SD) age, 16.79 (2.38) years; 42.18% female]. CHR-P individuals had worse outcomes in verbal learning, sustained attention and executive functioning domains compared to HC. Individuals taking antidepressants had better outcomes in verbal learning in contrast with those taking antipsychotics. In children and adolescents, neurocognition may be already impaired before the psychosis onset, and remains stable during the transition to psychosis. Further study should be performed to obtain more robust evidence.

Antiviral immune responses present a major hurdle to the efficacious use of oncolytic adenoviruses as cancer treatments. Despite the existence of a highly immunosuppressive tumor environment, adenovirus-infected cells can nonetheless be efficiently cleared by infiltrating cytotoxic T lymphocytes (CTL) without compromising tumor burden. In this study, we tested the hypothesis that tumor-infiltrating T cells could be more effectively activated and redirected by oncolytic adenoviruses that were armed with bispecific T-cell–engager (BiTE) antibodies. The oncolytic adenovirus ICOVIR-15K was engineered to express an EGFR-targeting BiTE (cBiTE) antibody under the control of the major late promoter, leading to generation of ICOVIR-15K-cBiTE, which retained its oncolytic properties in vitro. cBiTE expression and secretion was detected in supernatants from ICOVIR-15K-cBiTE–infected cells, and the secreted BiTEs bound specifically to both CD3+ and EGFR+ cells. In cell coculture assays, ICOVIR-15K-cBiTE–mediated oncolysis resulted in robust T-cell activation, proliferation, and bystander cell-mediated cytotoxicity. Notably, intratumoral injection of this cBiTE-expressing adenovirus increased the persistence and accumulation of tumor-infiltrating T cells in vivo, compared with the parental virus lacking such effects. Moreover, in two distinct tumor xenograft models, combined delivery of ICOVIR-15K-cBiTE with peripheral blood mononuclear cells or T cells enhanced the antitumor efficacy achieved by the parental counterpart. Introducción: el desarrollo de nuevas tecnologías de diagnóstico molecular ha permitido la detección de numerosas alteraciones del genoma involucradas en el inicio y progresión del cáncer. Desempeña un rol importante la identificación de variantes de utilidad clínica o mutaciones accionables, entendidas como aquellas alteraciones puntuales que permiten guiar las decisiones terapéuticas con inhibidores dirigidos a estos blancos moleculares. El éxito de estos agentes ha llevado a un cambio de paradigma, a tal punto de reemplazar la quimioterapia convencional en un grupo selecto de pacientes que se benefician de terapia dirigida. La secuenciación de nueva generación (NGS, por sus siglas en inglés) es la base de las plataformas genómicas con las que se puede realizar un perfil genómico completo (CGP, por sus siglas en inglés), con el objetivo de identificar las mutaciones accionables sobre las cuales ejercerán su efecto los fármacos dirigidos, permitiendo así la medicina personalizada y oncología de precisión, sin embargo, la utilidad clínica de CGP en pacientes colombianos es desconocida. Objetivos: el objetivo principal de este estudio fue evaluar la utilidad clínica del perfil genómico integral en tumores sólidos durante la práctica clínica habitual en Colombia como recomendación de tratamiento.

Anemonia alicemartinae es una especie criptogénica en la costa chilena, donde se comporta como invasora (i.e., aumenta su distribución a través del tiempo). Vive adherida a sustratos duros en sistemas intermareales y submareales someros desde el norte de Chile hasta la Bahía de Concepción. Al parecer, su reproducción es principalmente asexual, sin una fase larval, por lo que se ha propuesto que su dispersión ocurre mediante un mecanismo de desprendimiento y re-adhesión al sustrato, el cuál puede ser estimulado por condiciones bióticas y abióticas. En este trabajo se evaluó el efecto de la arena sobre dicho mecanismo de dispersión, para lo cual se instalaron colectores de sedimento en 14 puntos de muestreo, en la localidad de Lirquén, en el extremo sudeste de la Bahía de Concepción (el límite sur de distribución de esta especie en el Pacífico SE). Los resultados indicaron que la densidad de anémonas disminuye exponencialmente con la cantidad de sedimento, el cuál correspondió principalmente a arenas finas y medianas (i.e., entre 0,125 y 0,5 mm de diámetro). Experimentos realizados en laboratorio indican que anémonas adheridas a sustratos con mayor cantidad de arena tardan menos tiempo en desprenderse, mientras que aquellas adheridas a sustratos sin arena demoran el triple de tiempo en hacerlo. Los resultados sugieren que las anémonas podrían percibir la presencia de arena como condiciones poco favorables, estimulando el desprendimiento de los individuos en busca de hábitats más propicios. También se discute el rol de la arena en la dispersión de la especie a larga distancia.

En este trabajo presentamos la transcripción y traducción del censo de Calihtec, que abarca la mayoría del manuscrito Mexicain 393 de la Biblioteca Nacional de Francia. A mitad del siglo XVI Calihtec fue un calpolli (barrio) del altepetl Tepoztlan, incluido en el Marquesado del Valle de Oaxaca perteneciente a don Hernando Cortés. Ca. 1538 unas cuestiones jurídicas relacionadas con la encomienda de Cortés llevaron a un censo general de población del Marquesado. De este censo en náhuatl, conocido en la literatura como los “padrones de Morelos” o el “libro de tributos”, hoy quedan fragmentos que describen varios pueblos de los altepetl Yauhtepec y Tepoztlan, esparcidos por las bibliotecas de México, Polonia y Francia. El registro de Calihtec es el segundo más completo de los registros sobrevivientes de los nueve calpolli principales de Tepoztlan: solo le faltan unos dos o tres folios. Aquí presentamos sus páginas en orden reconstruido, lo que permite apreciar la estructura interna de Calihtec. El estudio codicológico del registro junto con el análisis de su contenido muestran que la BNF compusó el Mexicain 393 de dos fragmentos separados (uno de ellos siendo el publicado aquí), procedentes de dueños distintos. El censo de Calihtec, como otras partes de los padrones de Marquesado, permite el estudio de varios temas relacionados con los Nahuas en el periodo colonial temprano, entre ellos tributos, familia, evangelización o calpolli.

Resumo O isolamento social provocado pela pandemia de covid-19 exigiu uma intensificação no estabelecimento de parâmetros para o trabalho do neuropsicólogo com suas especificidades. Assim, o objetivo deste artigo é levantar reflexões sobre a prática neuropsicológica infantil via internet baseada na nossa experiência prática vivenciada no período, relacionando com as referências teóricas da abordagem histórico-cutural e outros trabalhos que discorrem sobre as particularidades dessa modalidade de atendimento. Para isso, foi realizada uma pesquisa bibliográfica em fontes reconhecidas, como SciELO e Google Acadêmico, utilizando-se marcadores como “neuropsicologia on-line” e “teleneuropsicologia”, entre outros, em português, inglês e espanhol. Os trabalhos encontrados foram utilizados como fundamento para discutir as ideias aqui apresentadas, a partir da experiência dos autores durante esse período. Considera-se que os neuropsicólogos precisam enfrentar a possível necessidade do trabalho on-line, considerando que as situações vividas durante a pandemia tendem a aumentar a necessidade de avaliações e intervenções neuropsicológicas. Ao mesmo tempo, se prevê que essa via de trabalho deve se intensificar após o isolamento, dentro do que se tem denominado como “o novo normal”. Para isso, é essencial que haja esforço por parte da comunidade neuropsicológica para mostrar como essa área de trabalho pode ser útil para crianças, seus pais e professores. Conclui-se que é preciso ter a noção de que nenhuma via ou metodologia de trabalho é absolutamente completa, sendo essencial a instrumentalização das vantagens e desvantagens de todas elas.
