Kuliah Kerja Nyata (KKN) is a real manifestation of lecturers and students in implementing Tri Dharma Perguruan Tinggi specially the aspect of service. Through community service activities on Pulau Maringkik Village, synergy can be established between the University of Mataram and the people of Maringkik Island as a form of knowledge democracy. The purpose of this service is to provide an understanding to the community about optimizing the promotion of Maringkik Island weaving through a website and based on digital marketing in order to help the government and the local community to develop UMKM to support the village's economy, as well as address socio-economic issues in the region. Methods of implementing activities include (1) preparation of advocacy and preparation of proposals, (2) planning includes the activities of designing a website prototype and making an activity roadmap, (3) the implementation stage of the website creation program, website launching, and technical guidance on website management, (4) monitoring is carried out to ensure the spread of the website Maringik Island woven fabrics in the community, and (5) An evaluation was carried out to see the number of website visitors and the number of sales during the presence of the website. Apart from that, the KKN group is also involved in other activities, namely teaching the holy qur,an at the posko and TPQ, doing morning exercises, establishing a coastal study center, teaching at SD and SMP Satap Maringkik Island, studying with Maringkik Island children (reading, drawing, and telling stories, Clean Up Day, planting fruit seeds, teaching traditional dances, and mutual cooperation). The results of the activities above show that KKN-T activity has been able to answer some of the problems and needs of the people of Maringkik Island Village which are related to the potential beneficiaries of the village in several socio-economic and social-technological.

Este artigo tem por objetivo analisar a dicção do músico mineiro Flávio Venturini em um conjunto de composições selecionadas, considerando, fundamentalmente, sua assinatura vocal, fenômeno decorrente do modo singular como em suas canções articulam-se a performance corporal, a temática das letras e a estrutura musical. Em que medida as formas de expressão da voz potencializam os sentidos da letra de uma canção? Quais são as técnicas empregadas por Venturini para a produção de sua assinatura vocal?

This chapter focuses on the importance of workers’ personal resources during difficult times, such as the pandemic period. In particular, the role of self-compassion in the work context is examined as an important resource for maintaining psycho-physical well-being. Further attention will be given to the impact of self-compassion on neuroscience research and possible organizational interventions to develop and/or support self-compassion in workers.

Este trabalho busca explorar a formação do conceito de “destituinte” no interior da prática política e da crítica filosófica. Para tanto, identifica seu surgimento no interior da crise do conceito de poder constituinte instaurada nos estudos constitucionais, no qual é tratado como uma mera questão de princípio da ordem jurídica que, sob uma perspectiva teleológica da história, é absorvido pelo poder constituído uma vez consolidadas as estruturas ditas democráticas do atual Estado de Direito. Nessa esteira, com o suposto intuito de garantir a perenidade dos direitos fundamentais e a estabilidade das instituições democráticas – em especial, após as experiências totalitárias que marcaram o século passado –, a inerente dimensão des-constituinte do poder constituinte vem sendo paulatinamente silenciada. Porém, trata-se de tendência teórica que tem enfrentado sérios desafios face aos novos movimentos sociais que vêm tomando as ruas em vários locais do globo nas últimas décadas, sendo justamente nesse contexto que uma nova abordagem passou a se configurar, voltada a analisar de forma mais aprofundada essa dimensão desconstituinte, e que podemos reunir sob o rótulo de “pensamento do destituinte”.

Background/objectives This study aimed to examine the variations of circadian activity rhythm of children according to objective body mass index (BMI) values, using a novel statistical framework (ie, Functional Linear Modeling, FLM), separately for school- and weekend days. Methods A total of 107 participants (60 females; mean age: 10.25 ± 0.48 years) wore an actigraph for seven days during a regular school-week. While valid actigraphic data during school days were available for each of these children, this number decreased to 53 (31 females; mean age: 10.28 ± 0.51 years) during weekend days. Results Examining the school days, significantly higher motor activity in participants with higher BMI was observed from around 4:00 a.m. to 6:00 a.m., with a peak about 5:00 a.m. On the contrary, applying the FLM to the weekend days actigraphic data, no significantly different variation of circadian activity rhythm was observed, according to BMI. Conclusions In this specific sample of children, during school days, higher BMI is associated with higher activity level in a specific time window in the second half of nocturnal sleep. The lack of significant findings during weekend days could be explained because of higher variability of get-up time and/or the reduced sample size. Future longitudinal studies could explore if the higher motor activity in that specific time window qualifies as a predictive marker of the development of overweight and obesity. If so, early preventive strategies directed towards those at higher risk could be effectively implemented.

Recent studies have shown that making accurate passage of time judgments (POTJs) for long-time intervals is an important cognitive ability. Different temporal domains, such as circadian typology (biological time) and time perspective (psychological time), could have an effect on subjective POTJs, but few studies have investigated the reciprocal influences among these temporal domains. The present study is the first systematic attempt to fill this gap. A sample of 222 participants (53.20% females; 19-60 years) filled in the Zimbardo Time Perspective Inventory for the measurement of time perspective, the reduced version of the Morningness-Eveningness Questionnaire (rMEQ) for chronotypes, and an ad-hoc questionnaire assessing sleep habits during weekdays and the weekend (for social jetlag). The POTJ was measured using a modified version of a pictorial timeline presented at five different moments. Also, participants judged how different temporal expressions were related to the past, present, and future along a 7-point Likert scale. After confirming the association between eveningness and present-hedonism orientation and morningness and future-orientation, we found that evening-types produced higher scores for future expressions. The subjective POTJ expressed in minutes was predicted by Deviation from Balanced Time (DBTP), present-fatalism orientation, and social jetlag. Finally, the rMEQ score, past-positive orientation, and DBTP predicted the difference between subjective and objective POT. The results are discussed offering an explanation in terms of the interconnections between circadian typology, individual time perspective, and the sense of the POT, suggesting the multicomponent nature of the concept of time.

Hansen A/S, Human Health, Hoersholm, DK-2970, DenmarkCorrespondence: Christopher J Martoni Email cachma@chr-hansen.comObjective: To investigate the clinical effects of a 10-strain probiotic on parameters of vaginal health in a pilot, open label study in women with intermediate Nugent score (NS) or vaginal pH > 4.5.Methodology: A total of 43 healthy premenopausal women, ages 18 to 50 years, with NS of 4– 6 or vaginal pH > 4.5 were enrolled. Participants consumed a probiotic formulation (Feminine Support™), containing 8 lactobacilli and 2 bifidobacteria strains, with a daily dose of 2.5× 1010 CFU for 28 (subgroup 1) or 42 (subgroup 2) days. Investigational visits occurred at day 0, 14, 28 and 42 with assessment of vaginal pH, NS and vaginal microbiota, via next-generation sequencing.Results: A total of 36 participants were included in the analysis set, with 24 and 12 participants included in subgroups 1 and 2, respectively. In the analysis set, there was a significant reduction in vaginal pH, from baseline, at day 28 (mean change=? 0.19, P = 0.047). Participants in subgroup 1 achieved a significant reduction in vaginal pH from baseline, at day 28 (mean change=? 0.23, P = 0.029) and day 42 (mean change=? 0.29, P = 0.008), while participants in subgroup 2 achieved a significant and quantitatively greater reduction in vaginal pH from baseline to day 42 (mean change=? 0.64, P = 0.008). No significant changes in NS were reported, due in part to highly diverse baseline levels. Vaginal microbial abundance exhibited a majority lactobacilli abundance at baseline, which was maintained over the study period. Vaginal pH was inversely associated with lactobacilli abundance throughout the study (P < 0.005). The product was well tolerated with high compliance. Two participants reported adverse events with suspected causality, which were mild and resolved during the study.Conclusion: This 10-strain probiotic formulation was well tolerated and helped reduce vaginal pH in women with intermediate NS or elevated vaginal pH. Surveillance and long-term monitoring of insect pest populations are of paramount importance to limit dispersal and inform pest management. Molecular methods have been employed in diagnostics, surveillance and monitoring for the past few decades, often paired with more traditional techniques relying on morphological examinations. Within this context, the ‘iMapPESTS: Sentinel Surveillance for Agriculture’ project was conceptualised to enhance on-farm pest management decision-making via development and deployment of smart traps, able to collect insects, as well as recording associated environmental data. Here, we compared an iMapPESTS ‘Sentinel’ smart trap to an alternative suction trap over a 10-week period. We used a non-destructive insect metabarcoding approach complemented by insect morphological diagnostics to assess and compare aphid species presence and diversity across trap samples and time. Furthermore, we paired this with environmental data recorded throughout the sampling period. This methodology recorded a total of 497 different taxa from 70 traps over a 10-week period in the grain-growing region in western Victoria. This included not only the 14 aphid target species, but an additional 12 aphid species, including a new record for Victoria. Ultimately, with more than 450 bycatch species detected, this highlighted the value of insect metabarcoding, not only for pest surveillance, but also at a broader ecosystem level, with potential applications in integrated pest management and biocontrol.

Banjir merupakan permasalahan yang paling sering terjadi di kota besar selain kemacetan. Hal ini disebabkan akibat daerah resapan air berkurang karena semakin banyaknya pemukiman di daerah perkotaan tersebut. Selain makin banyaknya pemukiman, hal lain yang menyebabkan terjadinya banjir adalah buruknya sistem drainase, kondisi saluran nya, limpasan air yang tinggi serta kurangnya dimensi drainase sehingga tidak dapat menampung semakin banyaknya volume air sehingga menjadi luapan air. Salah satu bentuk mitigasi bencana pada penelitian ini adalah alat sensor banjir. Alat sensor ini akan mendeteksi level air dan memberikan sebuah suara peringatan untuk masyarakat sekitar. Hal ini diharapkan agar menjadi salah satu early warning system terhadap bencana banjir. Metode yang dilakukan adalah rancang bangun alat sensor banjir. Diawali dengan studi literature, survey lokasi penempatan alat sensor banjir, persiapan alat dan bahan, permbuatan alat sensor banjir, pengujian alat dan evaluasi serta diakhiri dengan penerapan di lokasi yang telah ditentukan. Hasil yang didapatkan pada penelitian ini adalah perancangan alat sensor banjir sesuai dengan yang diharapkan. Selain itu, alat sensor banjir ini telah diterapkan di Puri Cipageran Indah Kota Cimahi.

High-throughput sequencing (HTS) technologies have the potential to become one of the most significant advances in molecular diagnostics. Their use by researchers to detect and characterize plant pathogens and pests has been growing steadily for more than a decade and they are now envisioned as a routine diagnostic test to be deployed by plant pest diagnostics laboratories. Nevertheless, HTS technologies and downstream bioinformatics analysis of the generated datasets represent a complex process including many steps whose reliability must be ensured. The aim of the present guidelines is to provide recommendations for researchers and diagnosticians aiming to reliably use HTS technologies to detect plant pathogens and pests. These guidelines are generic and do not depend on the sequencing technology or platform. They cover all the adoption processes of HTS technologies from test selection to test validation as well as their routine implementation. A special emphasis is given to key elements to be considered: undertaking a risk analysis, designing sample panels for validation, using proper controls, evaluating performance criteria, confirming and interpreting results. These guidelines cover any HTS test used for the detection and identification of any plant pest (viroid, virus, bacteria, phytoplasma, mycetes, nematodes, arthropods, plants) from any type of matrix. A necessidade de migração das aulas presenciais para as plataformas digitais, decorrente da pandemia de COVID-19, agravou um quadro que já não era em nada auspicioso: o do ensino de literatura. Se a dificuldade na manutenção dos níveis de atenção sobre o texto literário, condição necessária para uma experiência de leitura profunda, que desenvolva habilidades analógicas, inferenciais e empáticas, já se impunha como um desafio em sala de aula, as contingências inerentes ao ensino remoto e a própria natureza da leitura em tela tornam a tarefa ainda mais árdua. Este artigo tem por objetivo refletir sobre alguns desafios que se impõem ao ensino de literatura na era das plataformas digitais e propor, em caráter experimental, alguns modos de abordagem que, eventualmente, podem torná-lo mais eficiente.

Attentional bias to sleep-related information is thought to be a core feature for developing and/or maintaining insomnia. This study used a hallmark measure of attentional bias, the dot-probe task, to determine whether this bias toward sleep-related stimuli was a function of the severity of insomnia symptoms. A sample of 231 volunteers (175 females; mean age of 26.91 ± 8.05 years) participated in this online study, filling out the Insomnia Severity Index (ISI) and performing a visual dot-probe task. After categorizing individuals based on the ISI score into normal, subclinical, and moderate/severe sleep groups, we only found a marginally significant interaction between sleep groups and the type of stimuli on RTs, suggesting that subclinical and moderate/severe sleep groups reported slower RTs for sleep-related words than for neutral words. When we calculated the attentional bias score (ABS), we found that ABS significantly differed from zero in the moderate/severe sleep group only, suggesting a disengagement for sleep-related information as a function of the severity of insomnia symptoms. This finding seems to suggest that insomnia is related to greater difficulties in shifting away from sleep-related stimuli.

Este artigo tem por objetivo refletir sobre as singularidades da produção artística contemporânea de Tucumán, província situada no noroeste da Argentina, a partir da noção warburguiana de cultura como contaminação. Na medida em que essa produção esteve marcada por uma forte relação entre imaginário do artista e a geografia andina, buscaremos propor a noção de imagens-pedra como forma de questionar a concepção de identidad tucumana m favor de um modo mais complexo de pensar, historicamente, a tradição artística de Tucumán; um modo fortemente marcado pela sobrevivência (Nachleben), o que nos permite pensá-la sob a perspectiva das noções warburguianas de obra de arte como sintomatologia da cultura e da montagem e como modo de construção de uma história dos intervalos.

Insomnia and circadian dysregulation during adolescence represent important risk factors for emotional and psychological problems. Recent studies have shown that the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic has been linked to a high prevalence of behavioural sleep problems in the general population. This study aimed to provide two pictures of two different time points of the pandemic regarding the prevalence of sleep problems in adolescents and their association with psychological health variables. Two different independent large samples of Italian adolescents aged 13-17 years were recruited at two pandemic time points. A total of 1,146 adolescents at Time 1 (T1; April 2020) and 1,406 at Time 2 (T2; April 2021) took part in the study. Measures of insomnia symptoms, sleep hygiene, chronotype, psychological distress and emotion regulation were collected. Prevalence of insomnia was 12.13% at T1 and 23.19% at T2. Furthermore, high levels of poor sleep habits (late bedtime, poor sleep hygiene, use of electronic devices at bedtime) were also detected at both time points. Insomnia symptoms strongly correlated with poor sleep hygiene, higher psychological distress, and emotional suppression at both time points. Results highlighted an alarming picture for two large samples at two different time points of the pandemic that showed a potential negative impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, in both the first outbreak and in the later phase of the pandemic, on sleep habits, psychological distress and insomnia symptoms in adolescents. This strongly suggests the need for monitoring these variables and their interaction in the post-pandemic period and to develop and promote interventions for insomnia and circadian disturbances during adolescence.

Constipation is a common and typically multifactorial childhood complaint, and the clinical management of childhood functional constipation (FC) is challenging. A randomized, single-blind, placebo-controlled, multi-center clinical trial was conducted in 92 children (47 from Beijing, China and 45 from Shanghai, China) aged 4–12 with FC according to Rome III criteria. Children were assigned to receive a probiotic chewable tablet (5 × 109 CFU/day, n = 47), consisting of Lactobacillus acidophilus DDS-1® and Bifidobacterium animalis subsp. lactis UABla-12™ or placebo (n = 45), twice daily for 4 weeks, followed by a week follow-up period. Results suggested that the probiotic group showed a faster and more pronounced normalization of stool frequency over the intervention period (3.15 vs. 1.83) when compared to placebo group (2.51 vs. 1.87). Meanwhile, the percentage of subjects with hard defecation decreased from 43 to 14% in the probiotic group, while the percentage of subjects with normal defecation increased from 56 to 80% in the probiotic group, further confirming the normalization of stools habits. This randomized controlled trial demonstrated the potential of a probiotic chewable tablet containing L. acidophilus DDS-1® and B. Lactis UABla-12™ as a daily probiotic dosage form for children with FC.

As part of its strategic plan to advance an inclusive campus environment, the University at Albany’s Office of Diversity and Inclusion established a network of nine climate committees across three campuses. The University Libraries Climate Committee began meeting shortly prior to the world-wide spread of COVID-19, as well as the murder of George Floyd that sparked international police reform demonstrations. Recognizing an immediate need for constructive reflection on the topic of systemic racism and its impact within librarianship, committee members took action to organize library-wide professional development. To facilitate critical analysis, committee members selected So You Want to Talk About Race by Ijeoma Oluo as the 2020 central resource around which to design interdepartmental learning experiences. Building upon themes explored in the chosen 2020 resource, the committee selected A Mind Spread Out on the Ground by Alicia Elliott as the focus for 2021. Copies of each book were purchased for voluntary participants, who then engaged in virtual book discussions and complementary workshops. Participants were surveyed throughout the experience, capturing descriptions which helped to inform programming decisions and gauge impact. This poster presentation will report successes, challenges, solutions, and possibilities for future professional development that facilitates the establishment of culturally sensitive, critically reflective library organizations.

The bacterial microbiome of psyllids has been studied for decades, with a strong focus on the primary and secondary endosymbionts capable of providing essential amino acids for the insects’ diet and therefore playing a key role in the insects’ ability to radiate on novel plant hosts. Here, we combine metabarcoding analysis of the bacterial communities hosted by psyllids with a multi-gene phylogenetic analysis of the insect hosts to determine what factors influence the bacterial diversity of the psyllids’ microbiomes, especially in the context of the dispersal and evolutionary radiation of these insects in Aotearoa New Zealand. Using multi-gene phylogenetics with COI, 18S and EF-1α sequences from 102 psyllid species, we confirmed for the first time monophyly for all the six genera of native/endemic Aotearoa New Zealand psyllids, with indications that they derive from at least six dispersal events to the country. This also revealed that, after its ancestral arrival, the genus Powellia has radiated onto a larger and more diverse range of plants than either Psylla or Ctenarytaina, which is uncommon amongst monophyletic psyllids globally. DNA metabarcoding of the bacterial 16S gene here represents the largest dataset analysed to date from psyllids, including 246 individuals from 73 species. This provides novel evidence that bacterial diversity across psyllid species is strongly associated with psyllid phylogenetic structure, and to a lesser degree to their host plant association and geographic distribution. Furthermore, while the strongest co-phylogenetic signals were derived from the primary and secondary symbionts, a signal of phylosymbiosis was still retained among the remaining taxa of the bacterial microbiome, suggesting potential vertical transmission of bacterial lineages previously unknown to have symbiotic roles.

In the Bojongmalaka area, the people have difficulty with clean water. The water condition there is murky and yellow so it is not suitable for use. On the basis of that problem, the executor of community service grant from Widyatama University collaborated between Mechanical Engineering study program and Information Systems Study program to try to serve the community to solve this clean water problem and the result is a water filter applied to Bojongmalaka village community with the hope of helping solve the problem of clean water in the village of Bojongmalaka. This activity involves lecturers and students at Widyatama University. Stages of Implementation of Devotion is done with Problem Identification, Tool Making, Socialization, Implementation, Assistance and Evaluation, Evaluation of program implementation, Program Sustainability. Based on the questionnaire distributed to the community, 51 % of the community used digging wells, 63 % treated the water so that it was safe to drink, and 88.9 % of the water was clear, odorless. Bojongmalaka village head Dedi Dermawan and residents are very enthusiastic about this activity can help the problems faced by residents. The head of Bojongmalaka village thanked Widyatama University and the Director-General of Dikti Ristek for their funding in 2021. Dedi hoped that similar activities could be continued for other problems in Bojongmalaka village..

Por meio de conceitos trabalhados por Pierre Bourdieu, principalmente de violência simbólica, capital simbólico e campo jurídico-estatal, buscou-se analisar o Recurso Extraordinário 898.540 de repercussão geral, verificando a existência de uma cláusula de barreira injustificada voltada à exclusão de candidatos com tatuagens em concursos públicos de Policiais Militares. Para isso, recortou-se historicamente o processo de estigma associado às tatuagens com o fim de contrapor esse elemento de contracultura à lógica do poder público, tendo em vista os princípios da impessoalidade, legalidade, moralidade do Direito Administrativo, buscando explicitar como esses podem não estar sendo observados, em alguma medida, por agentes e instituições do aparato estatal. Com isso, propõe-se um exercício crítico em relação ao Estado de Direito brasileiro.

Fruit flies are considered economically important insects due to some species being agricultural pests. However, morphological identification of fruit fly adults and larvae can be difficult requiring a high level of taxonomic expertise, with misidentifications causing problematic false‐positive/negative results. While destructive molecular techniques can assist with the identification process, these often cannot be applied where it is mandatory to retain a voucher reference specimen. In this work, we non‐destructively (and partial‐destructively) processed larvae and adults mostly belonging to the species Dirioxa pornia (Walker, 1849), of the poorly studied nonpest fruit fly tribe Acanthonevrini (Tephritidae) from Australia, to enable molecular identifications whilst retaining morphological vouchers. By retaining the morphological features of specimens, we confirmed useful characters for genus/species‐level identification, contributing to improved accuracy for future diagnostics using both molecular and morphological approaches. We provide DNA barcode information for three species of Acanthonevrini known from Australia, which prior to our study was only available for a single species, D. pornia. Our specimen examinations provide new distribution records for three nonpest species: Acanthonevroides variegatus Permkam and Hancock, 1995 in South Australia, Acanthonevroides basalis (Walker, 1853) and D. pornia in Victoria, Australia; as well as new host plant records for D. pornia, from kangaroo apple, apricot and loquat.

RESUMEN Las cirugías de cabeza y cuello presentan un alto riesgo de sangrado que puede significar el uso de transfusiones sanguíneas. Existen casos en las que éstas son rechazadas, como sucede con los Testigos de Jehová. Se expone el caso de una paciente Testigo de Jehová con un tumor rinosinusal con alto riesgo de sangrado que consultó por epistaxis recurrente. Se evidencia un tumor ocluyendo la fosa nasal derecha de aspecto vascular a la rinoscopía y la tomografía computarizada. Múltiples aferencias de la arteria esfenopalatina y etmoidales se observaron en una angiografía cerebral. Previo a la resección, se embolizó la arteria maxilar. Durante la cirugía, se contó con un sistema de recuperación de sangre autóloga, hemodilución e infusión de ácido tranexámico. Se ligó la arteria etmoidal anterior derecha vía externa con apoyo endoscópico y luego se resecó el tumor vía endoscópica. La biopsia reveló un carcinoma sinonasal escamoso. Existen alternativas terapéuticas en pacientes que rechacen el uso de hemoderivados. Destacan medidas preoperatorias como la embolización endovascular, intraoperatorias como el uso de agentes hemostáticos, técnicas quirúrgicas y anestésicas. Es importante analizar todas las opciones disponibles de forma multidisciplinara y junto con el paciente, para determinar la conducta más adecuada a seguir.

The ‘Eugenia psyllid’ or ‘Lilly pilly psyllid’, widely recognized in Australia and in the USA as Trioza eugeniae Froggatt (Hemiptera: Triozidae), is not T. eugeniae, but rather T. adventicia Tuthill. In this study we assessed morphological comparisons of materials from throughout the native and introduced ranges and re-examined original descriptions of both taxa, together with Froggatt's type specimens of T. eugeniae. Furthermore, through DNA barcoding analyses, we confirmed the validity of both T. adventicia and T. eugeniae as separate species. We re-described both species to include additional characters not previously included and designated a lectotype for T. eugeniae. T. eugeniae has smaller fore wings that are slightly more elongate. These lack infuscation around veins R and R1, vein Rs is relatively longer, meeting the costa closer to the wing apex; with certain veins bearing long, fine divergent setae, a character not previously described. It has consistently three inner and one outer metatibial spurs. The male parameres appear narrowly pyriform with a weak dorsolateral lobe and weakly sclerotized apices. T. adventicia has larger fore wings that are slightly more ovate with dark infuscation around veins R and R1; vein Rs is relatively shorter, meeting the costa further from the wing apex, with veins lacking long, fine divergent setae. The usual configuration of two inner and one outer metatibial spurs, previously used to separate the two species, appears inconsistent. The male parameres appear a little more broadly pyriform with slightly more sclerotized apices. T. eugeniae refers to a distinct species which has a restricted distribution only in its native range in southern subcoastal New South Wales, Australia. T. adventicia refers to a separate species, with a natural distribution in eastern subcoastal Australia, but has been introduced widely in southern Australia, to New Zealand and the USA. This study elucidates a long history of misidentification of T. eugeniae in the nursery industry and in almost 30 years of literature on its biological control in the USA. Regardless, the biological control program, unknowingly, targeted the correct species of psyllid, T. adventicia, in its foreign exploration and importation of the appropriate parasitoid as a biocontrol agent in the USA. Despite being firmly entrenched in both the nursery trade and scientific literature, the name T. eugeniae is misapplied. While the acceptance of the valid name, T. adventicia, might be regarded as both problematic and protracted, this is the correct taxonomical attribution.

Bone metastases (BM) are still the main cause of morbidity and mortality in cancer patients, not only because of their complications, defined as skeletal-related events (SREs), but also because of the negative impact bone pain has on quality of life (QoL) and survival, especially when opioid analgesics and locoregional treatments fail.A single-center prospective study was carried out on 12 patients with symptomatic BM treated with MRI-guided focused ultrasound (MR-HIFU). The primary endpoint was the effectiveness of MR-HIFU in reducing current and breakthrough cancer pain (BTCP) scores. The main secondary aims were the evaluation of circulating markers at different time-points and their relation to pain and procedure efficacy. Other secondary objectives included temporal evolution of pain response, evaluation of QoL, and side effects of the treatment. Descriptive statistics were used to evaluate primary and secondary endpoints. Questionnaires on pain and QoL completed at baseline and at 30 days were compared using appropriate statistical tests with exploratory intent.MR-HIFU was successfully completed in all 12 patients enrolled between September 2015 and December 2018. On day 30, 6 (50.0%) patients showed a complete response of current pain and 6 a partial response, while 5 (41.7%) obtained a complete BTCP response. A partial response of BM evaluated by MD Anderson criteria was obtained in 9 (81.8%) patients. Only one patient progressed in the target lesion after MR-HIFU. No treatment-related adverse events were recorded. Bone turnover markers CTX/RANK-L (P) do not demonstrate any significant change with the pain or BM response.In our patients, targeted therapy of painful BM with MRI-guided focused ultrasound ablation was safe and showed encouraging early-onset and functional results.

Self-agency can be understood as the ability to infer causal relationships between actions and sensory events. Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder (OCD) patients with checking compulsions often report lack of "action-completion" sensations, possibly due to an altered sense of agency in these patients. The present study aimed to investigate whether self-agency was related to cognitive flexibility in OCD checkers. In 18 adult OCD checkers and 18 age- and gender-matched healthy controls, cognitive flexibility was assessed with the Intra-Extra Dimensional Set Shift Task (IED). Self-agency attribution was evaluated in two tasks that targeted the novel construct of "gaze-agency", the capability of an observer to identify his or her own eye movements as the cause of a concurrent event (here, an auditory beep). This technique allows sensitive measurement of agency under subtly varying investigator-controlled conditions. OCD checkers manifested significantly inferior performance correctly ascribing the beeps to their own ocular saccades than controls, even when after a hint was provided. Although cognitive inflexibility (errors on the IED) did not differ significantly between the two groups, within the OCD sample there were positive correlations between errors in self-agency attribution and total and extra-dimensional shift errors. These findings show that cognitive inflexibility is related to self-agency in OCD.

Activated charcoal was microencapsulated with Lactobacillus acidophilus 314 previously adapted for urea uptake. The creatinine removal capacity of this combination microcapsule was evaluated in-vitro in media simulating the small intestine. Results show that microcapsules containing both activated charcoal and L. acidophilus 314 demonstrated potential for decreasing creatinine. Interestingly, when co-encapsulating both activated charcoal and L. acidophilus 314 a smaller decrease in creatinine was observed than when encapsulating them separately. However, co-encapsulated microcapsules were more stable in various parts of the gastrointestinal system and survived longer in storage. These results suggest the feasibility of using microcapsules containing activated charcoal and probiotic bacteria as oral adjuvants for creatinine removal and provides a theoretical model for the use of these microcapsules to remove any unwanted metabolite.

Uniformity of temperature in a room is often encountered in various purposes. This study presents the results of modeling the temperature and airflow in the chicken coop. A problem to be solved in this research is how to design the chicken coop in order to produce temperature uniformity. Thus, the objectives are to build a chicken coop dimensional model of 96x12x2 m with a capacity of 15,500 chicks. Modeling results analysis using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics). The stage of completion to meet the above objectives is by measuring the dimensions of the chicken coop. The next data to be obtained are temperature and air velocity to determine the boundary conditions. Some of the above parameters are used to validate chicken coop design. Modeling conducted using CFD methods with temperature and air velocity as boundary conditions. The modeling results showed that the average temperature in the chicken coop is adequate as an ideal temperature standard for chicken coop. Temperature uniformity is obtained by variation of the exhaust opening 4.

Experimental studies to see the surface roughness of the turning process have been carried out. The study was conducted to determine the effect of the main variables and the relationship of variables to surface roughness (modeling). The variables carried out were feeding (f), spindle rotation (n) and coolant. Material Specimens use St-37 with cylindrical dimensions. Test specimens were made using conventional lathes, HSS cutting tools and roughness tests were performed with using a Surfcorder (Surface Roughness Measuring Instrument) SE 1700 . The research method uses factorial design, variable analysis using Yates's algorithm and modeling using Least Square statistics. The test results show that the most influential variable is feeding, f = 4,957 m, where the biggest roughness occurs at conditions f = 1.2912 m / min, n = 640 rpm and without cooling media. The modeling results show that surface roughness is a function of feeding and velocity, Ra = f (f, n), (Ra = 5.2024 f + 0.0048n), the higher the feeding and speed, the greater the surface roughness.

This article aims to contribute to the discussion about work in the field of tourism by analyzing the labor interactions established within the production, distribution, exchange and consumption processes. With focus on socio-productive hierarchy organized and created in order to add more direct and indirect value, we present and discuss the concepts of useful productive and unproductive labor with aim at pointing out the dominant social relations in those spaces characterized by ‘comparative advantages’. Through reflection and direct participant observation, with the use of structured questionnaires, we sought to highlight the labor and health conditions of workers in the characteristic areas of the tourism industry, by pointing out the possibilities and limits of labor regulatory actions before not only the State, but fundamentally the sociability increasingly regulated by the market. It is pointed out that the labor conditions in the tourism sector are defined according to certain conditions that allow labor exploitation in relative and/or absolute terms, thus generating bio-psycho-social wear.

Sleep quality is an important clinical construct since it is increasingly common for people to complain about poor sleep quality and its impact on daytime functioning. Moreover, poor sleep quality can be an important symptom of many sleep and medical disorders. However, objective measures of sleep quality, such as polysomnography, are not readily available to most clinicians in their daily routine, and are expensive, time-consuming, and impractical for epidemiological and research studies., Several self-report questionnaires have, however, been developed. The present review aims to address their psychometric properties, construct validity, and factorial structure while presenting, comparing, and discussing the measurement properties of these sleep quality questionnaires. A systematic literature search, from 2008 to 2020, was performed using the electronic databases PubMed and Scopus, with predefined search terms. In total, 49 articles were analyzed from the 5734 articles found. The psychometric properties and factor structure of the following are reported: Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index (PSQI), Athens Insomnia Scale (AIS), Insomnia Severity Index (ISI), Mini-Sleep Questionnaire (MSQ), Jenkins Sleep Scale (JSS), Leeds Sleep Evaluation Questionnaire (LSEQ), SLEEP-50 Questionnaire, and Epworth Sleepiness Scale (ESS). As the most frequently used subjective measurement of sleep quality, the PSQI reported good internal reliability and validity; however, different factorial structures were found in a variety of samples, casting doubt on the usefulness of total score in detecting poor and good sleepers. The sleep disorder scales (AIS, ISI, MSQ, JSS, LSEQ and SLEEP-50) reported good psychometric properties; nevertheless, AIS and ISI reported a variety of factorial models whereas LSEQ and SLEEP-50 appeared to be less useful for epidemiological and research settings due to the length of the questionnaires and their scoring. The MSQ and JSS seemed to be inexpensive and easy to administer, complete, and score, but further validation studies are needed. Finally, the ESS had good internal consistency and construct validity, while the main challenges were in its factorial structure, known-group difference and estimation of reliable cut-offs. Overall, the self-report questionnaires assessing sleep quality from different perspectives have good psychometric properties, with high internal consistency and test-retest reliability, as well as convergent/divergent validity with sleep, psychological, and socio-demographic variables. However, a clear definition of the factor model underlying the tools is recommended and reliable cut-off values should be indicated in order for clinicians to discriminate poor and good sleepers.

The QGIS open source software comprises storing, organization, processing, integration and analysis of geospatial data. This article aims to present the consolidation of portability process of the open source geoprocessing software QGIS for the brazilian public, through the project “Adequation of the Computational Application QGIS, a Geographic Information System to the Brazilian Public”. The results of the project, which is still in progress, indicates an increase in the numbers of users of QGIS, search in websites, exchange of information in virtual groups and interaction in social networks. These results are mainly achieved by maintaining the translation of QGIS and promoting other divulgation methods. The continuity of this actions will allow even more users to have access to this open source geoprocessing tool.

Crucial to the success of the COVID-19 vaccination campaign is the rate of people who adhere to it. This study aimed to investigate the reasons underlying people’s willingness to get vaccinated in a sample of Italian adults, considering the effects of different individual characteristics and psychological variables upon positive vs. negative/hesitant vaccination intentions, as well as subjects’ self-reported motivations for such intentions. An anonymous cross-sectional survey was distributed online in February 2021. The results showed that trust in science, number of vaccinations received in 2019, and belief that COVID-19 is more severe than the common flu, were associated with positive vaccination intentions. “Chance externality” health locus of control showed both direct and indirect effects upon positive vaccination intentions. Anxiety symptoms and participants’ perceived psychological status also showed indirect positive effects. Subjects’ self-reported motivations varied interestingly across positive vs. negative/hesitant intentions. Implications of these findings for identifying effective pro-vaccination messages are discussed in the final section of the paper.

Psyllids, also known as jumping plant lice, are phloem feeding Hemiptera that often show a strict species-specific relationship with their host plants. When psyllid-plant associations involve economically important crops, this may lead to the recognition of a psyllid species as an agricultural or horticultural pest. The Australian endemic tea tree, Melaleuca alternifolia (Maiden & Betche) Cheel., has been used for more than a century to extract essential oils and, long before that, as a traditional medicine by Indigenous Australian people. Recently, a triozid species has been found to damage the new growth of tea trees both in Queensland and New South Wales, raising interest around this previously undocumented pest. Furthermore, adults of the same species were also collected from Citrus plantations, leading to potential false-positive records of the exotic pest Trioza erytreae (Del Guercio 1918), the African Citrus psyllid. Here we describe for the first time Trioza melaleucae Martoni sp. nov. providing information on its distribution, host plant associations and phylogenetic relationships to other Trioza species. This work enables both morphological and molecular identification of this new species, allowing it to be recognized and distinguished for the first time from exotic pests as well as other Australian native psyllids. Furthermore, the haplotype network analysis presented here suggests a close relationship between Trioza melaleucae and the other Myrtaceae-feeding Trioza spp. from Australia, New Zealand, and Taiwan.
