The aim of the study was to study the dynamics of clinical and allergic characteristics of patients with allergic rhinitis (AR) in Samara over the past 5 years. Clinical and allergological examination was performed in 1526 patients from 2012 to 2018. For skin prick testing, 16 names of standard allergens were used. In 2018, the most common forms of AR were seasonal – 40.7 % and combined (seasonal and perennial) forms of AR – 39.8 %. Over the past 5 years, there has been a 1.5-fold increase in seasonal forms of AR (pollinosis). The structure of sensitization revealed an increase in pollen allergy from 39.2 % to 50.6 %, and a decrease in the level of hypersensitivity to epidermal allergens from 29.9 % to 14.5 %. Sensitization to weeds remains dominant in patients with pollinosis and ranges from 82.8 % to 75.2 % in 2012 and 2018, respectively. The predominance of polysensitization to different groups of allergens over monosensitization remains: 55.8 % and 44.2 %, respectively.

It is considered that Ambrosia trifida is not widespread in Russia, thereby avoiding its threatening effects to populational health. However, there are some areas in Russia where more than half of land area is covered by Ambrosia trifida. Many such foci are found in the Samara, Orenburg regions, Tatarstan and Bashkiria. Ambrosia trifida is distributed in Central Russia, the North Caucasus region and Siberia. The objective of the study was to examine specific IgE-profile in ragweed sensitized patients in the Samara region. A clinical and allergy examination of 969 patients with allergic rhinitis was performed. Allergic diagnostics was performed by using skin testing (prick-test) with standard set of pollen, household, and epidermal allergens. The data of skin tests in patients co-sensitized with ragweed and Artemisia allowed to analyze IgE-antibodies specific to the major Ambrosia (Amb a 1, Аmb. trifida) and Artemisia (Art v 1) allergens. Patients with negative skin test for the Amdrosia artemisiifolia and clinical manifestations of seasonal allergy were assessed for level of sIgE-antibodies nAmb a 1 and Amb trif. Skin test data demonstrated that seasonal and combined forms of allergic rhinitis dominated in patients examined. In particular, positive skin test data for pollen allergens dominated (50.6%) among all allergen groups so that more than half of them belonged to weed pollen allergens. Patients challenged with skin tests for Artemisia and ragweed allergens more likely displayed positive reaction to the Artemisia allergen (71.27%) and Ambrosia artemisiifolia (50.88%). Co-sensitization (to Artemisia and ragweed) prevailed in this geographic region featured with equal rate of simultaneously detected sIgE specific to the two types of ragweed and artemisia (nAmb a 1 + nArt v 1 + Amb trif) as well as Ambrosia trifida and Artemisia (Amb trif + nArt v 1). Almost half of the patients with negative Ambrosia art. prick-test were found to bear sIgE specific to Amb trif. Further investigation will help to better understand this phenomenon and take a fresh look at diagnostics and treatment of ragweed allergy in relevant geographic area.

The effect of the second ligand and surfactant micelles on the solid-phase time-resolved fluorescence of europium sensitized by doxycycline on Silasorb 600 is studied. A procedure of the sorption-luminescence determination of doxycycline using micelles of Triton X-100 nonionic surfactant is developed; the detection limit is 1.1 × 10−7. The analytical range for doxycycline is 3 × 10−7 to 3 × 10−5 M. The procedure is tested on a doxycycline pharmaceutical drug; RSD was no worse than 4%.

The kinetic regularities of the dissolution of sulfur in tetrachloroethylene (TCE), which depend on the temperature, hydrodynamic conditions, and TCE concentration, are presented. Using the rotating disc method, it is revealed that this process occurs in a mixed mode; its diffusion and kinetic components are revealed. The reaction order of the kinetic component of the dissolution rate of sulfur by TCE is 1.5, while the experimental activation energy of the process is 39.2 ± 2.0 kJ/mol. The activation energy of the diffusion component of the convective mass transfer during the dissolution of sulfur in TCE is 28.0 ± 2 kJ/mol.

Second order statistical moment of the ordinary and extraordinary waves scattered by turbulent magnetized plasma slab with electron density and magnetic field fluctuations is analytically calculated applying the perturbation method. Numerical calculations are carried out for the anisotropic Gaussian fluctuation spectrum at different anisotropy factor and the angle of inclination of prolate irregularities with respect to the external magnetic field. Phase portraits of correlation function of the phase and amplitude fluctuations of scattered radiation are constructed. It is shown that correlation between ordinary and extraordinary wave decreases in proportion to the anisotropic factor.

Quantity of estrogen- and progesterone-specific binding sites was measured in endometrial tissues of 10 females treated with danazol during 3 month in a dose of 400 mg per day after surgical treatment for endometriosis. It was demonstrated that the amount of estrogen receptors in endometrium of the patients was the same as in endometrial tissue of healthy females but the quantity of nuclear progesterone receptors was markedly increased.

Blast cells obtained from the "erythropoietic spleen" of FG-stimulated young mice and cells accumulating in the spleens of preleukemic AKR mice have a marked suppressive effect on spontaneous and mitogen-induced proliferation of young mouse splenocytes in vitro and suppress the development of humoral immune response in immunized recipients during syngeneic transfer in vivo. Some disturbances in erythron system in preleukemic AKR mice manifested in the accumulation of immature erythroid precursors which are suppressors of immunocompetent lymphocytes are suggested to be a pathogenetic link in the development of leukemia.
