With the increased utilization, the small embedded and IoT devices have become an attractive target for sophisticated attacks that can exploit the devices security critical information and data in malevolent activities. Secure boot and Remote Attestation (RA) techniques verifies the integrity of the devices software state at boot-time and runtime. Correct implementation and formal verification of these security primitives provide strong security guarantees and enhance user confidence. The formal verification of these security primitives is considered challenging, as it involves complex hardware software interactions, semantics gaps and requires bit-precise reasoning. To address these challenges, this paper presents FVCARE an end to end system co-verification framework. It also defines the security properties for resilient small embedded systems. FVCARE divides the end to end system co verification problem into two modules: 1) verifying the (bit precise) initial system settings, registers, and access control policies by hardware verification techniques, and 2) verifying the system specification, security properties, and functional correctness using source-level software abstraction of the hardware. The evaluation of proposed techniques on SRACARE based systems demonstrates its efficacy in security co verification.

Sustainable finance has become a key factor to consider among rational users seeking economy, safety, and trust compared to being a mere concept years ago. Therefore, blending these two concepts is necessary to establish their exact role among stakeholders, with critical attention to societal demands and sustainable development goals framed by the UN. There is a knowledge gap between the public and institutions owing to sustainability being a relatively hazy concept. Public opinion, therefore, needs to be sought to gather enough information on the twin idiosyncrasies. Firstly, among institutions contributing to society through sustainable practices, and secondly, among their users and community in establishing their role in meeting user demands and sustainability goals while maintaining operational efficiency. The main objectives of the chapter are to blend these concepts by obtaining opinions from the public to establish the role of FinTech, primarily through responses received from the working class in the area of Bangalore during 2022. The research study is analytical, owing to the data sets analyzed. FinTech companies play an essential role in societal development through sustainable financial practices. Transportation of heavy crude oil through pipelines poses a great challenge in oil and gas industry. Crude oil chokes the pipelines when the temperature drops below the pour-point temperature. In the present study, a bio-based additive, i.e., Cashew Nut Shell Liquid (CNSL) has been tested as a flow improver for heavy crude. CNSL was obtained from waste cashew nut shell by means of mechanical extraction, and it was completely characterized. Similarly, the crude oil used in the study was characterized for its physio-chemical properties. Also, the crude oil was subjected to Saturates, Aromatics, Resins and Asphaltene analysis and Fourier Transform Infra-Red analysis. The raw and additive-treated crude oil with different CNSL dosages were subjected to pour-point and rheology measurements and optical micro-imaging analysis which indicated a remarkable improvement in flow whereby an optimum dose of 2000 ppm was observed. Furthermore, the effects of different parameters like shear rate, concentration of the flow improver and the effect of temperature on the crude oil flowability were studied. The process variables were optimized by means of Taguchi method, and the percentage contribution of each parameter was identified with the help of ANOVA table. The results indicate that a remarkable improvement in flow was observed at an optimum dose of 2000 ppm. The contribution of the concentration was found to be around 53%, whereas the contributions of the shear rate and the temperature were only 18.08 and 28.91%, respectively. Therefore, it has been observed that CNSL flow improvers extracted from cheap reasonable resources are more effective as they are cost-effective and eco-friendly when compared to conventional additives.

There has been a lot of recent interest in applying machine learning (ML) to the design of systems, which purports to aid human experts in extracting new insights leading to better systems. In this work, we share our experiences with applying ML to improve one aspect of networks-on-chips (NoC) to uncover new ideas and approaches, which eventually led us to a new arbitration scheme that is effective for NoCs under heavy contention. However, a significant amount of human effort and creativity was still needed to optimize just one aspect (arbitration) of what is only one component (the NoC) of the overall processor. This leads us to conclude that much work (and opportunity!) remains to be done in the area of ML-driven architecture design.

In present study an attempt was made to prepare microballoons of ibuprofen by emulsion solvent diffusion technique for sustained delivery by using polymers like Ethyl cellulose to extend the drug release for about 12 hours in the upper GIT, which may result in enhanced absorption and there by improved bioavailability. Development of ibuprofen loaded microballoons was carried out by using different concentration of Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) and Ethyl cellulose. Total four batches were formulated. All four batches were evaluated for Yield and entrapment efficiency Among all batches F2 shows maximum Yield and entrapment efficiency and was considered as optimized formulation. Optimized batch F2 was evaluated for Zeta Potential, Particle Size Distribution SEM and stability study.

Pack rust or crevice corrosion is a type of localized corrosion. When a metal is in contact with a metal, or even non-metal, the metal starts to corrode, and rust starts to pack in between the surfaces. When signi cant development of pack rust occurs, it can cause overstressing of bolts and rivets causing them to fail, and it can bend connecting plates and member elements thus reducing their buckling capacity. Thus it is important to mitigate the formation and growth of pack rust in bridges. This study was conducted to determine if pack rust occurs frequently and thereby may pose a problem in the state of Indiana. The study is divided into three primary tasks.The rst part of the study involves understanding the parameters involved in the initiation process of crevice corrosion and post-initiation crevice corrosion process. The second part of the study involves reviewing existing mitigation strategies and repair procedures used by state DOTs. The third part of the study involves identifying steel bridges with pack rust in Indiana. Analyses were performed on the data collected from Indiana bridges that have pack rust. This involved nding the components and members of bridges which are most a ected by pack rust and nding parameters which in uence the formation of pack rust. Pack rust in the steel bridges were identi ed using the INDOT inspection reports available through BIAS system. The study revealed that good maintenance practices helped in reducing pack rust formation. The study identi ed locations on steel bridges which have a high probability towards pack rust formation. A mitigating strategy possessing qualities which can show promising results is identi ed.

Most manufacturing operations require periodic setups for product changes, process-control verifications or engineering evaluations. Setups performed in-line-on the tool in lieu of running product take away from production time and may be classified as waste. This paper focuses that, setup procedures should be analyzed to see if they can be done in parallel, off line, to allow production to continue. Alternatively, process checks might be accomplished with product parts instead of monitors, eliminating what is effectively downtime (waste) for a tool or sector. In this paper data was also calculated and collected after implementing of Set up Reduction Single Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) technique. By implementing Set up Reduction (SMED), waste time is reduced from 113.75 h in June 2008 to 59.75 h in May 2009 with 585.00 h available time for machining. Productivity of machine also increases from 19 platens in June 2008 to 44 platens in May 2009. Fireworks are commonly used in celebrate festive occasions. We present a case of an unusual presentation of intraoral firework injury, which is a very rare case. A fifteen year old boy kept four explosive papercaps wrapped in a small polythene bags in between his left molars and crushed them. This resulted in a contused lacerated wound over the left buccal mucosa. Patient was treated conservatively with maintenance of intraoral hygiene, antibiotics, proteolytic enzymes and analgesics. It took 18 days for complete healing of the wound.
