In October 2020, we conducted a population-based prospective cohort study to determine post-COVID-19 complications, recovery, return to usual health, and associated risk factors in 536 cases of COVID-19 outbreak in Borriana (Spain) by administering an epidemiological questionnaire via phone interviews. A total of 484 patients participated (90.3%), age mean 37.2 ± 17.1 years, and 301 females (62.2%). Mild illness was the most common COVID-19 manifestation. After six months, 160 patients (33.1%) suffered at least one complication post-COVID-19, and 47 (29.4%) of them sought medical assistance. The most frequent persistent symptoms were hair loss, fatigue, loss of smell or taste, and headache. Risk factors associated with a complication were female sex (adjusted relative risk, [aRR] = 1.93 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.41–2.65), age 35 years and above (aRR = 1.50 95% CI 1.14–1.99), B blood group (aRR = 1.51 95% CI 1.04–2.16), current smoker (RR = 1.61 95% CI 1.02–2.54), and at least a COVID-19 exposure (aRR = 2.13 95% CI 1.11–4.09). Male sex, age younger than 35 years, and low COVID-19 exposures were associated with better recovery and return to usual health. A third of patients presented persistent symptoms compatible with the long-COVID-19 syndrome. In conclusion, an active medical follow-up of post-COVID-19 patients must be implemented.

With his Atlas Mnemosyne, Aby Warburg has highlighted the importance of artistic personifications as a vehicle for the expression of concepts, experiences and emotions, which escape the realm of the rational (because they maintain mythopoetic elements) and pose dynamics in constant tension. This paper deals with the personification that Johannes Sambucus has made of History in the Differentia emblem (1564). It will be pointed out that the originality of this personification resides in a combination of literary and iconographic motifs which, far from ascribing to the Aristotelian and Platonic traditions, distance themselves from the Ciceronian meaning of History as a master of life, by giving preference to his experience as editor of Classical texts and official historian of Emperor Maximilian II. Based on the importance of historiographical practice for Sambucus and comparing the aforementioned emblem with the introduction that he wrote about the History of Hungary (1568) by Antonio Bonfino, we will search to elucidate the most enigmatic aspects of Differentia, trying to map the different conceptions and representations that humanists had of the historical discipline in the mid-16th century. Sociology and Political Science - Abstract

Andean uplift and the concomitant formation of the Diagonal Arid of South America is expected to have promoted species diversification through range expansions into this novel environment. We evaluate the evolution of Argylia, a genus belonging to the Bignoniaceae family whose oldest fossil record dates back to 49.4 Ma. Today, Argylia is distributed along the Andean Cordillera, from 15°S to 38.5°S and from sea level up to 4,000 m.a.s.l. We ask whether Argylia’s current distribution is a result of a range expansion along the Andes Cordillera (biological corridor) modulated by climatic niche conservatism, considering the timing of Andean uplift (30 Ma – 5 Ma). To answer this question, we reconstructed the phylogenetic relationships of Argylia species, estimated divergence times, estimated the realized climatic niche of the genus, reconstructed the ancestral climatic niche, evaluated its evolution, and finally, performed an ancestral range reconstruction. We found strong evidence for climatic niche conservatism for moisture variables, and an absence of niche conservatism for most of the temperature variables considered. Exceptions were temperature seasonality and winter temperature. Results imply that Argylia had the capacity to adapt to extreme temperature conditions associated with the Andean uplift and the new climatic corridor produced by uplift. Ancestral range reconstruction for the genus showed that Argylia first diversified in a region where subtropical conditions were already established, and that later episodes of diversification were coeval with the of Andean uplift. We detected a second climatic corridor along the coastal range of Chile-Peru, the coastal lomas, which allowed a northward range expansion of Argylia into the hyperarid Atacama Desert. Dating suggests the current distribution and diversity of Argylia would have been reached during the Late Neogene and Pleistocene.

Geography ,Coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) ,Astrophysics ,Spectrum (topology) - Abstract
Background: We aimed to identify the spectrum of disease in children with COVID-19, and the risk factors for admission in paediatric intensive care units (PICUs).Methods: We conducted a multicentre, prospective study of children with SARS-CoV-2 infection in 76 Spanish hospitals. We included children with COVID-19 or multi-inflammatory syndrome (MIS-C) younger than 18 years old, attended during the first year of the pandemic. Results: We enrolled 1 200 children. A total of 666 (55.5%) were hospitalized, and 123 (18.4%) required admission to PICU. Most frequent major clinical syndromes in the cohort were: mild syndrome (including upper respiratory tract infection and flu-like syndrome, skin or mucosae problems and asymptomatic), 44.8%; bronchopulmonary syndrome (including pneumonia, bronchitis and asthma flare), 18.5%; fever without a source, 16.2%; MIS-C, 10.6%; and gastrointestinal syndrome, 10%. In hospitalized children, the proportions were: 28.5%, 25.7%, 16.5%, 19.1% and 10.2%, respectively. Risk factors associated with PICU admission were MIS-C (odds ratio [OR]: 37.5,95% CI 22.7 to 57.8), moderate or severe liver disease (OR: 9,95% CI 1.6 to 47.6), chronic cardiac disease (OR: 4.8,95% CI 1.8 to 13) and asthma or recurrent wheezing (OR: 2.8,95% CI 1.3 to 5.8). However, asthmatic children were admitted into the PICU due to MIS-C or pneumonia, not due to asthma flare. Conclusion: Hospitalized children with COVID-19 usually present as one of five major clinical phenotypes of decreasing severity. Risk factors for PICU include MIS-C, elevation of inflammation biomarkers, asthma, moderate or severe liver disease and cardiac disease.

Resistance to antibiotics is a growing problem with repercussions on the choice of first-line treatment in urinary tract infection (UTI) in childhood. To know the current pattern of antibiotic susceptibility/resistance of the most frequent germs that cause UTI in our healthcare area. Secondary objective is to know the evolution of these patterns over time.A cross-sectional retrospective study of UTI episodes in a first-level hospital in two periods: 1st January 2008-31th December 2010 and 1st January 2017-31th December 2019 through a review of medical records, recording the following variables: Age, sex, fever, hospital admission, uropathy/bladder dysfunction, antibiotic prophylaxis.First period: 174 UTI episodes (156 patients); Second period: 266 UTI episodes (218 patients). The most frequently isolated germ wasThe increased resistance of the most frequent uropathogens in the UTI of the pediatric population of our healthcare area to amoxicillin/clavulanate makes it unsuitable as empirical therapy. First-generation cephalosporins are an adequate alternative in patients without risk factors.

After a COVID-19 outbreak in the Falles festival of Borriana (Spain) during March 2020, a cohort of patients were followed until October 2020 to estimate complications post-COVID-19, considering ABO blood groups (ABO). From 536 laboratory-confirmed cases, 483 completed the study (90.1%) carried by the Public Health Center of Castelló and the Emergency and Microbiology and Clinical Analysis of Hospital de la Plana Vila-real. The study included ABO determination and telephone interviews of patients. The participants had a mean age of 37.2 ± 17.1 years, 300 females (62.1%). ABO were O (41.4%), A (45.5%), B (9.1%), and AB (3.9%). We found no difference in the incidence of COVID-19 infections. A total of 159 (32.9%) patients reported one or more post-COVID-19 complications with divergent incidences after adjustment: O (32.3%), A (32.6%), B (54.1%), and AB (27.6%), B groups had more complications post-COVID-19 when compared with O group (adjusted relative risk [aRR] 95% confidence interval [CI] 1.68, 95% CI 1.24–2.27), and symptoms of fatigue (1.79, 95% CI 1.08–2.95), myalgia (2.06, 95% CI 1.10–3.84), headache (2.61, 95% CI 1.58–4.31), and disorder of vision (4.26 95% CI 1.33–13.60). In conclusion, we observed significant differences in post-COVID-19 complications by ABO, with a higher incidence in B group. Additional research is justified to confirm our results.

ObjectiveMass gathering events (MGEs) are associated with the transmission of COVID-19. Between 6 and 10 March 2020, several MGEs related to theFallesfestival took place in Borriana, a municipality in the province of Castellon (Spain). The aim of this study was to estimate the incidence of COVID-19 and its association with these MGEs, and to quantify the potential risk factors of its occurrence.MethodsDuring May and June 2020, a population-based retrospective cohort study was carried out by the Public Health Center of Castelló and the Hospital de la Plana in Vila-real. Participants were obtained from a representative sample of 1663 people with potential exposure at six MGEs. A questionnaire survey was carried out to obtain information about attendance at MGEs and COVID-19 disease. In addition, a serologic survey of antibodies against SARS-Cov-2 was implemented. Inverse probability weighted regression was used in the statistical analysis.ResultsA total of 1338 subjects participated in the questionnaire survey (80.5%), 997 of whom undertook the serologic survey. Five hundred and seventy cases were observed with an attack rate (AR) of 42.6%; average age was 36 years, 62.3% were female, 536 cases were confirmed by laboratory tests, and 514 cases were found with SARS-CoV-2 total antibodies. Considering MGE exposure, AR was 39.2% (496/1264). A dose-response relationship was found between MGE attendance and the disease, (adjusted relative risk [aRR] = 4.11 95% confidence interval [CI]3.25–5.19). Two MGEs with a dinner and dance in the same building had higher risks. Associated risk factors with the incidence were older age, obesity, and upper and middle class versus lower class; current smoking was protective.ConclusionsThe study suggests the significance of MGEs in the COVID-19 transmission that could explain the subsequent outbreak in Borriana.

Descritores: Enfermagem obstétrica, Período pós-parto, Assistência no puerpério.

Abstract –Social work in Chile during the Reconceptualization period presented deep changes, in a context of high social effervescence. At the turn of the 1960s to the 1970s, the consolidation of the working class and left-wing parties led Chile to become the first country in the world to conquerthe government by electoral means, with a program building towards socialism. In a context of intensification of social struggles, Chilean social work established relationships and stances, producing a rich reflection of teachers, students, and professionals in relation to professional training and intervention. This article is the first delivery of results of an ongoing research that reviews the relationship of Social Service with social movements and struggles based on the analysis of final papers for graduation and articles from Revista de Trabajo Social , from Pontificia Universidad Catolica de Chile. Keywords: popular unity; Social Service;reconceptualization;social struggles; Chile.

Abstract – We offer a reflection about existence, in the works of Marx, of the concern for social equality and justice, that takes significance once again in front of the civilization crisis to which the dynamics of capitalism drags us, to delimit some of the elements that help us to build and trace a historical societary project that avoids a catastrophe. In Marx's work relies the clearest relationship between the inequality and the capital's logic of constantly self-valorize at the expense of unpaid work to the laborer.Specially, on his Critique of the Gotha Programme he visualizes a delimitation of the criteria of distribution that will exist in the way to reach a post-capitalist society: the principles of contribution and necessity. The first one is located in the transition phase towards communism and the second one is achievable under a communist society. Only at this level, in the communist society, humanity will be able to live in full emancipation. Keywords : equality, social justice, capitalism; Marx.

Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, there was an intense fragmentation and geographical dispersion of production stages. Despite this dispersion, the higher value-added activities of the productive networks remain concentrated in only a few cities, which play different roles in different productive networks. Based on these considerations, this thesis analyzed the role of cities as strategic locations for the coupling of countries and regions to global production networks, addressing the case of Rio de Janeiro, in the context of the South American cities, highlighting the role that the city plays in the coupling to the oil and gas network. To do so, we used several databases, interviews and applied the network methodology. The results show that the city of Rio de Janeiro stands out among the cities of South America, performing several functions, especially the knowledge generation, a high value added activity, which allows greater value capture. This prominent role, comparing to other cities in the region, is strongly linked to the fact that Petrobras is headquartered in Rio de Janeiro Doutorado Teoria Econômica Doutora em Ciências Economicas FAPESP 2016/06888-1
