A vibratory tuning-fork MEMS gyroscope is presented in the study. Design concepts for the gyroscope are obtained by introducing the working principle, the suspension system, and the damping. The dynamical simulation is applied to indicate that this gyroscope has achieved high stability and sensitivity by the indirect connection structure and slide-film damping in the drive and sense directions. It is found that the novel structural design for the gyroscope can be seemed as a good approach to increase the performance of tuning-fork gyroscope.

The control of a buckled beam subjected to a parametric excitation is considered. The active control with acceleration feedback is applied to suppress the unaccepted large vibration. A parametrically excited system is considered as an initial model. The acceleration feedback is applied to control erosion of safe basins in the nonlinear system. The mechanism of the evolution of the dynamics is studied analytically by the Melnikov function method. And the evolutions of boundary and nature of safe basins with time delay are presented numerically by the 4th Runge-Kutta and Monte-Carlo methods. It is found that the acceleration feedback can be used as a good approach to increase the safe probability of the structure.

The multiple attractors induced by a non-resonant double Hopf bifurcation in a two-neuron network with self/neighbor-delayed-connections are investigated in this paper. Various dynamical behaviors are classified in the neighborhood of the bifurcating point and are expressed approximately in a closed form by the center manifold reduction. The solution induced by Hopf bifurcation is expressed approximately by the method of multiple scales. It follows that the delay induces the coexistences of silencing and periodic spiking, two periodic spiking, periodic and quasi-periodic spiking. The basins of attraction are classified numerically. These results have some potential applications in designing the neural network according to the memory pattern and storage.
