International audience; Nearly 300 million t of phosphogypsum (PG) are produced every year as a byproduct from phosphate fertilizer production worldwide. Approximately 58% of the PG are stacked, 28% are discharged in coastal waters and only 14% are further processed. This critical review provides an overview of the physical-chemical properties of PG produced from sedimentary and magmatic phosphate ore worldwide using various analytical tools. Results from more than 25 years of work on PG at École des Mines de Saint-Étienne are presented and critically discussed. In total PG samples from 67 industrial storage sites around the world and PG samples synthesized under different conditions in the laboratory have been considered. The low radioactivity present in PG (particularly PG produced from sedimentary phosphate rock) was identified as the main challenge to using PG as a raw material in construction. Water-soluble and volatile chemical compounds were identified as the main challenge to environmentally sound PG management. Although PG does (in most cases) not pose an immediate threat to the environment the authors recommend processing all PG instead of storing or disposing it, to eliminate potential long-term risks and utilize a relevant secondary resource.

Природні ресурси та умови навколишнього природного середовища є основою матеріального виробництва та доброустрою населення. Стан навколишнього природного середовища, особливості та якість споживання, охорони та відтворення природних ресурсів значною мірою визначають темпи економічного росту та ефективності виробництва. У рамках даної статті авторами зазначено, що врахування екологічних та соціальних факторів при прийнятті рішень зі сталого розвитку є особливо актуальним на сучасному етапі розвитку суспільства. Зазначено, що обізнаність у питаннях сталого розвитку є одним із факторів, які впливають на поведінку соціуму при прийнятті рішень, пов’язаних зі сталим розвитком. Метою дослідження є оцінка рівня обізнаності населення Узбекистану в питаннях сталого розвитку. Для досягнення поставленої мети у ході дослідження було проведено опитування 440 респондентів, які є громадянами Узбекистану. Авторами застосовано програмне забезпечення SmartPLS для опрацювання даних. За отриманими результатами дослідження встановлено позитивний та суттєвий взаємозвʼязок між екологічною обізнаністю та енергоощадження. При цьому енергоощадження має суттєвий позитивний вплив на питання сталого розвитку. На основі отриманих результатів дослідження автори дійшли висновку, що питання сталого розвитку мають позитивний та суттєвий взаємозвʼязок з обізнаністю у питаннях сталого розвитку. Таким чином, підвищення рівня обізнаності населення у питаннях сталого розвитку може мати значний вплив на вирішення низки проблем, повʼязаних зі сталим розвитком у досліджуваному регіоні. Автори відмітили, що за результатами систематизації наукових напрацювань з дослідженої тематики, не було виявлено досліджень, подібних проведеному, що свідчить про наукову новизну даної роботи. In the frame of this article, the authors maintained that natural resources and environmental conditions are the basis of material production and the life of the population. Systematization of the scientific sources on sustainable development indicated that the state of the environment and the quality level of resource use, protection, and reproduction largely determine the rates of economic growth and production efficiency. The relevance of this scientific problem decision is that at the present stage of economic development, consideration of the ecological and social factors when making decisions on sustainable development is becoming especially significant. One of the factors affecting social behaviors when it comes to sustainable decisions is awareness of the importance of sustainability. The primary purpose of this research is to measure sustainability awareness in Uzbekistan. A survey of 440 Uzbek citizens was conducted to fulfill the research aim. The survey results were analyzed using SmartPLS software. The paper presents the results of an empirical analysis, which showed that environmental awareness is positively and significantly connected with energy conservation. At the same time, the authors found that energy conservation is positively and significantly connected with sustainability issues. In line with the above findings, the obtained results allowed stating that sustainability issues are positively and significantly connected with sustainability awareness. The authors concluded that raising awareness among the population could positively effect the sustainability issues being solved in the region. The scientific novelty of this research could be described in the fact that, to the best of the authors' knowledge, no such research has been previously conducted.

International audience; In this work, Cu-based sulfides (chalcopyrite CuFeS2, mohite Cu2SnS3, tetrahedrite Cu12Sb4S13, mawsonite Cu6Fe2SnS8, and kesterite Cu2ZnSnS4) were synthesized by industrial milling in an eccentric vibratory mill to demonstrate the scalability of their synthesis. For a comparison, laboratory-scale milling in a planetary mill was performed. The properties of the obtained samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction and, in some cases, also by Mössbauer spectroscopy. For the densification of powders, the method of spark plasma sintering was applied to prepare suitable samples for thermoelectric (TE) characterization which created the core of this paper. A comparison of the figure-of-merit ZT, representative of the efficiency of thermoelectric performance, shows that the scaling process of mechanochemical synthesis leads to similar values as compared to using laboratory methods. This makes the cost-effective production of Cu-based sulfides as prospective energy materials for converting heat to electricity feasible. Several new concepts that have been developed involving combinations of natural and synthetic species (tetrahedrite) and nanocomposite formation (tetrahedrite/digenite, mawsonite/stannite) offer sustainable approaches in solid-state chemistry. Mechanochemical synthesis is selected as a simple, one-pot, and facile solid-state synthesis of thermoelectric materials with the capability to reduce, or even eliminate, solvents, toxic gases, and high temperatures with controllable enhanced yields. The synthesis is environmentally friendly and essentially waste-free. The obtained results illustrate the possibility of large-scale deployment of energy-related materials.

В останні роки спостерігається стрімке поширення принципів шеренгової економіки у бізнес-діяльність, особливо в туристичному секторі. Це обумовлює трансформацію функціонуючих бізнес-моделей, а також появу нових видів економічної діяльності та можливостей для їх розвитку. У рамках дослідження авторами узагальнено аргументи наукової дискусії щодо переваг та недоліків розвитку бізнес-моделей шеренгової економіки. Проаналізовано особливості розвитку шеренгової економіки у туристичному секторі. Авторами відмічено, що наявні наукові напрацювання переважно присвячені дослідженню загальних питань розвитку шеренгової економіки, тоді як актуальність даної роботи полягає в аналізі особливостей шеренгової економіки в туристичному секторі, для якого характерними є значна кількість зацікавлених сторін та швидкий розвиток. Методологічною основою даного дослідження є вторинний аналіз даних. Авторами зазначено, що основними рушійними силами розвитку шеренгової економіки у туристичному секторі є Інтернет та інноваційні технології, циклічність економіки, зміна суспільних цінностей та екологічність. Авторами здійснено порівняльний аналіз шеренгової платформи «Airbnb» та найбільш популярними готелями. Крім того, визначено, що популярність оренди апартаментів через шеренгові платформи з кожним роком зростає у порівнянні з традиційними готелями. У дослідженні емпірично підтверджено та теоретично доведено, що шеренгова економіка сприяє стрімкому розвитку туристичного сектору, приваблює більше туристів до країни та перевершує традиційні бізнес-моделі. Отримані результати можуть бути використані для подальшого дослідження найбільш сприятливих умов для розроблення нових бізнес-моделей, аналізу реакції учасників ринку, просування нових бізнес-ініціатив у туристичному секторі, дослідження шеренгової економіки за суб’єктами туристичної діяльності (транспорт, розважальні та туристично-інформаційні платформи). The sharing economy is rapidly gaining popularity, especially in the tourism sector. The sharing economy transforms functioning business models, giving businesses new economic activities and development opportunities. However, while sharing economy-based models are spreading in the world, not only the advantages but also the disadvantages are seen. This paper summarizes the arguments within the scientific discussion on the economic characteristics of sharing economy. It identifies the actions determining the development of sharing economy in the tourism sector. Since it is known that the sharing economy is developing rapidly, the development of the sharing economy is usually analyzed as a whole, regardless of the different sectors. However, the development of the sharing economy in the tourism sector is found to be the fastest. Besides, there is the largest number of stakeholders. Systematization of scientific treatises and approaches concerning the investigated issue indicated that the main drivers for the sharing economy development in the tourism sector are the Internet and technology among tourists, the cyclical nature of the economy, the change of societal values, and environmental friendliness. The methodological base of this research was secondary data analysis. The research empirically confirmed and theoretically proved that the sharing economy in the tourism sector develops rapidly, attracts more and more consumers in the tourism sector, and outpaces traditional business models. The obtained results could be used for analyzing the most favorable conditions to develop new business models in the market, analyze the response of market participants (consumers and traditional business model), promote new business initiatives in the tourism sector, research the sharing economy phenomenon in narrower tourism (transport, entertainment, and tourist information platforms).

International audience; Core-shell nanostructures of one-dimensional (1D) polyacrylonitrile (PAN)/zinc oxide (ZnO) were obtained by combining atomic layer deposition (ALD) and electrospinning. Nanofibers with different ZnO thicknesses were synthesized and investigated. The present work offers novel information about 1D ZnO structural defects and activation energies (Ea) by performing photoluminescence (PL) measurements. PL measurements of 1D ZnO/PAN samples were investigated from 77 K to 273 K (room temperature). By analyzing the obtained data of the emission spectrum, Ea and temperature coefficients were calculated. The results let us suggest an approximate model of defects in 1D ZnO/PAN structures. It was observed that optical properties are strongly related to the structural properties of the obtained 1D materials i.e., the calculation of the concentration of defects in the ZnO layer was done by analyzing the optical measurements. These investigations allow predicting the properties of the materials and opens up a new roadmap for reliable sensing.

Several schemes of the arrangements designed to realize the interaction-free delayed-choice scenario are considered.

International audience; Photoelectrochemical water splitting under visible light has attracted attention for renewable hydrogen production. Despite prevalent investigations, many challenges still hindered an efficient energy conversion, such as enhancing the reaction efficiency in visible light. Thus controlling the photoelectrode materials is an essential step in designing new materials for water splitting. CaCu3Ti4O12 (CCTO) has received great attention as photocatalyst under solar light due to its combined band gap as result of the presence in its structure of TiO2 active in UV light and CuO active under visible light. In this work, a cubic CCTO with different amount of exfoliated hexagonal boron nitride has been synthesized. The produced materials were fully characterized. Physico-chemical characterizations demonstrate that bore and nitrogen co-doped CCTO causes an increase in grain boundaries thickness, and thus leads to shift peaks in XRD and Raman spectra. UV–Vis diffuse reflectance spectroscopy showed a decrease of the bang gap value after adding boron nitride nanosheets into CCTO. The electrochemical performance and the resistivity of the obtained materials were performed using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy in dark and under visible light exposition. The onset potential recorded for CCTO with 3% of boron nitride nanosheets (Eg = 2.9), is around 0.5 V and the current generation is 16 times more than pure phase of CCTO. This work shows that CCTO with 3% of boron nitride nanosheets can be considered as an active photoelectrocatalyst under visible light irradiation for water splitting. Hydrogen production measurements show that the rate of H2 production reached arround 8.1 µmol/h under visible light after adding 3% of BN nanosheets to CCTO which presents 16 times increase in comparison with pure CCTO.
