Bevezetés: A populációban egyre nagyobb arányban vannak jelen olyan felnőttek, akik szívfejlődési rendellenességgel, köztük Fallot-tetralógiával jöttek világra. Célkitűzés: A jelen vizsgálat célja a Fallot-tetralógiával született betegek echokardiográfiás és cardialis mágneses rezonanciás vizsgálati eredményeinek összehasonlító vizsgálata volt attól függően, hogy korai teljes rekonstrukció történt, vagy a korai palliációt kései teljes korrekció követte. Módszerek: A jelen tanulmányba 17 olyan, Fallot-tetralógiás beteget vontunk be, akik átlagéletkora 28,6 ± 4,6 év volt (10 férfi). Korai teljes rekonstrukció 10 esetben történt (átlagéletkor: 25,0 ± 8,0 év; 8 férfi), míg korai palliációt követően kései teljes korrekció 7 esetben (átlagéletkor: 33,7 ± 11,8 év; 2 férfi). Valamennyi esetben teljes körű kétdimenziós Doppler-echokardiográfiás és cardialis mágneses rezonanciás vizsgálatot végeztek. Eredmények: Korai teljes rekonstrukció esetén a hosszú távú továbbkövetés során alacsonyabb bal kamrai végsystolés (40,50 ± 10,55 ml/m2 vs. 58,14 ± 19,07 ml/m2, p = 0,013) és végdiastolés (86,60 ± 12,62 ml/m2 vs. 116,70 ± 23,70 ml/m2, p = 0,002) volumenindexek és verővolumen-index (46,00 ± 6,77 ml/m2 vs. 58,43 ± 7,11 ml/m2, p = 0,001) igazolható magasabb echokardográfia során mért bal kamrai ejekciós frakció (69,75 ± 6,80% vs. 61,67 ± 8,80%, p = 0,038) mellett a korai palliációra, majd kései korrekcióra kerülő Fallot-tetralógiás esetekhez képest. A jobb szívfél tekintetében magasabb jobb kamrai izomtömeg (72,33 ± 21,03 g vs. 51,33 ± 22,33 g, p = 0,044) igazolható a korai teljes rekonstrukción átesett Fallot-tetralógiás betegekben. Következtetés: Kedvezőbb bal kamrai morfológiai és funkcionális paraméterek, de kifejezettebb jobb kamrai hypertrophia detektálható Fallot-tetralógiás betegekben korai teljes rekonstrukciót követően a korai palliációra, majd kései korrekcióra kerülő esetekhez képest. In the present study we attempted to ascertain the ethnic and religious structure of the population which in 1851 lived on the territory that is now known as Transcarpathia, based on data from the book by Elek Fényes (The Geographic Dictionary of Hungary… / Magyarország geographiai szótára…) published in the same year. According to the results of our research, we can state that the dominant ethnic community of the region at that time were the Rusyns (in Elek Fényes’s wording Russians), who lived predominantly in the mountainous territories. An important role in the ethnic structure was also played by Hungarians, Germans, Slovaks and Vlachs (Romanians). As to the religious composition, the most important denomination was that of Greek Catholics/Eastern Orthodox Christians, who formed an absolute majority in the region, their settlement area showing a close relationship with the location of the Rusyns.

In our present experiments, the role of D2 dopamine (DA) receptors of the ventral pallidum (VP) was investigated in one trial step-through inhibitory avoidance paradigm. Animals were shocked 3 times in the conditioning trial, with 0.5 mA current for 1 s. Subsequently bilateral microinjection of the D2 DA receptor agonist quinpirole was administered into the VP in three doses (0.1 μg, 1.0 μg or 5.0 μg in 0.4 μl saline). We also applied the D2 DA receptor antagonist sulpiride (0.4 μg in 0.4 μl saline) alone or 15 min prior to the agonist treatment to elucidate whether the agonist effect was specific for the D2 DA receptors. Control animals received saline. In a supplementary experiment, it was also investigated whether application of the same conditioning method leads to the formation of short-term memory in the experimental animals. In the experiment with the D2 DA receptor agonist, only the 0.1 μg quinpirole increased significantly the step-through latency during the test trials: retention was significant compared to the controls even 2 weeks after conditioning. The D2 DA receptor antagonist sulpiride pretreatment proved that the effect was due to the agonist induced activation of the D2 DA receptors of the VP. The supplementary experiment demonstrated that short-term memory is formed after conditioning in the experimental animals, supporting that the agonist enhanced memory consolidation in the first two experiments. Our results show that the activation of the D2 DA receptors in the VP facilitates memory consolidation as well as memory-retention in inhibitory avoidance paradigm.

Proteins of the conserved HORMA domain family, including the spindle assembly checkpoint protein MAD2 and the meiotic HORMADs, assemble into signaling complexes by binding short peptides termed "closure motifs". The AAA+ ATPase TRIP13 regulates both MAD2 and meiotic HORMADs by disassembling these HORMA domain-closure motif complexes, but its mechanisms of substrate recognition and remodeling are unknown. Here, we combine X-ray crystallography and crosslinking mass spectrometry to outline how TRIP13 recognizes MAD2 with the help of the adapter protein p31comet We show that p31comet binding to the TRIP13 N-terminal domain positions the disordered MAD2 N-terminus for engagement by the TRIP13 "pore loops", which then unfold MAD2 in the presence of ATP N-terminal truncation of MAD2 renders it refractory to TRIP13 action in vitro, and in cells causes spindle assembly checkpoint defects consistent with loss of TRIP13 function. Similar truncation of HORMAD1 in mouse spermatocytes compromises its TRIP13-mediated removal from meiotic chromosomes, highlighting a conserved mechanism for recognition and disassembly of HORMA domain-closure motif complexes by TRIP13.

162 p. Speech misperceptions have the potential to help us understand the mechanisms involved in human speech processing. Consistent misperceptions are especially helpful in this regard, eliminating the variability stemming from individual differences, which in turn, makes it easier to analyse confusion patterns at higher levels of speech inits such as the word. In this thesis, we haver a conducter an analysis of consistens word misperceptions from a "microscopic" perspective. Starting with a large-scale elicitation experiment, we collected over 3200 consistent misperceptions from over 170 listeners. We investigated the obtained misperceptions from signal-idependent and a signal-dependent perspective. In the former, we have analysed error trends between the target and misperceived words across multiple levels of speech units. We have shown that the error patterns observed are highly dependent on the eliciting masker type and contrasted our results to previous findings. In the latter, We attempted to explain misperceptions based on the underlying speech noise interaction. Using tools from automatic speech recognition, we have conducted an automatic classification of confusions based on their origin and quantified the role misallocation of speech fragments played in the generation of misperceptions. Finally, we introduced modifications to the original confusion eliciting stimuli to try to recover the original utterance by providing release from either themasker`s energetic or informational component. Listeners¿percepts were reevaluated in response to the modified stimuli which revealed the origin of many confusions regarding energetic or informational masking.
