One-step direct patterning of high definition conductive tracks in textiles is realized through laser direct writing in combination with a silver organometallic ink developed in-house. Photoreduction, nano-crystallization, and sintering are accomplished in one pass under the irradiation of a CW green laser light (λ = 532 nm) at moderate intensities (I ≥ 95 mW/mm2). By tailoring the surface tension and viscosity of the ink, high-definition conductive tracks are formed in weft-knitted polyester-Spandex composite fabrics, well-following the laser’s profile with negligible coffee stain effect. Length resistance as low as 4 Ω/cm is measured and anisotropy of the gauge factor as high as 25 is achieved. The metallized fabric exhibits reversible and hysteresis-free electromechanical responses subject to high strains. Durability assessment qualifies that the as-metallized strain sensors are able to sustain their performance for over 5000 stretch/release cycles, demonstrating its potential applications in biaxial strain sensing and interactive smart textiles.

With rapid developments in society and economy, the concentrations of heavy metals in surface water in South China have increased significantly, which poses a serious threat to the regional water security. In this study, the Fuhe River watershed in South China was selected as the study area to analyze physicochemical characteristics and heavy metal (Cu, Zn, Pb, Cd and Cr) concentrations in river water in the dry and rainy seasons, in 2019, with the purpose of exploring their spatial–temporal variations and main influences and assessing the potential health risks of heavy metals. The pH value of river water varied from 5.82 to 7.97, and it fluctuated less overall in the dry season, but it oscillated greatly in the rainy season and was lower, especially in the lower reach of the Fuhe River. The electrical conductivity (EC) value changed between 33 μS/cm and 128 μS/cm and increased and fluctuated along the river flow in the two periods. The concentrations of Cd, Cr, Cu, Pb, and Zn in river water showed obvious differences between the two periods. The concentrations of Cd and Cu were lower with the ranges from 0.001 μg/L to 0.67 μg/L and from 1 μg/L to 12 μg/L, respectively, in the dry season than in the rainy season, while there were inverse cases for other heavy metals. Along the river flow, the Cr concentration was stable, whereas other heavy metals showed increasing trends. It was noted that the concentrations of heavy metals in the Fuhe River were, on average, lower than the Chinese drinking standard values, with the concentration of Pb in the dry season significantly higher than the drinking standard value of the World Health Organization (WHO). Principal component analysis and correlation analysis showed that rock weathering and anthropogenic inputs were the main controlling factors of Cu and Zn in the Fuhe River, and human activities were mainly responsible for Pb, Cr, and Cd concentrations. The health risk assessment results showed that the non-carcinogenic risk (HQingestion) value of Pb was greater than 1 in most sampling points in the middle and lower reaches in the dry season, suggesting a significant non-carcinogenic risk for adults and children by direct ingestion. The minimum carcinogenic risk (CRingestion) value of Cr was more than 10−4 in the rainy and dry seasons, and the CRingestion value of Cd in some sampling points was more than 10−4 in the rainy season, indicating significant cancer risks to adults and children. For areas with significant pollution and health risks in the Fuhe River watershed, it is urgent to strengthen the controls of industrial, agricultural, and urban wastewater discharge.

SOX2 is related to drug resistance in many types of cancer, including lung cancer. Herein, we investigated the role of SOX2 and its regulatory signaling in cisplatin-treated non-small-cell lung cancer (NSCLC). The effects of SOX2 on cell viability, proliferation, and apoptosis were evaluated in vitro. Western blotting, real-time quantitative PCR, immunohistochemistry, and luciferase reporter assays were used to investigate the underlying mechanism. Kaplan–Meier survival analysis and the log-rank test were used to assess the relationship between SOX2 expression and patient survival. A549/CDDP cells had marked resistance to cisplatin and stronger colony formation ability than A549 cells. The expression of SOX2 protein or mRNA in A549/CDDP was higher than that in A549. Knockdown of SOX2 in A549/CDDP-induced apoptosis by inhibiting colony formation and decreasing viability, but overexpression of SOX2 reversed these effects. Interestingly, Genomatix software predicted that the APE1 promoter has some SOX2 binding sites, while the SOX2 promoter has no APE1 binding sites. Furthermore, luciferase reporter assays proved that SOX2 could bind the promoter of APE1 in 293T cells. We further verified that SOX2 expression was not affected by shAPE1 in A549/CDDP. As expected, colony formation was obviously inhibited and apoptosis was strongly enhanced in A549/CDDP treated with SOX2 siSOX2 alone or combined with CDDP compared with control cells. Meaningfully, patients with low expression of SOX2, and even including its regulating APE1, survived longer than those with high expression of SOX2, and APE1. siSOX2 overcomes cisplatin resistance by regulating APE1 signaling, providing a new target for overcoming cisplatin resistance in NSCLC.

The near field of the probe beam after passing through the gain module is measured. The “streamer effect” is first discovered in the experiment, which is characterized as continuity in the flow direction and non-uniformity in the lateral direction with high spatial frequency. To explain the “streamer effect”, a fluid–solid coupling model and an unstable resonator oscillation model of the direct-liquid-cooled thin-disk laser are established. The simulation results show that the non-uniformity of the coolant along the width of the flow channel gives rise to the streamer effect. A feasible cooling channel to achieve a high uniformity coolant is proposed and experimentally verified. Improving on product overlay is one of the key challenges when shrinking technology nodes in semiconductor manufacturing. Using information from non-lithography process steps can unleash overlay improvement potential.1 The challenge is to find intra-wafer signatures by measuring planar distortion. Several previous applications showed that using exposure tool wafer alignment data can improve overlay performance.2 With smart placement of alignment mark pairs in the X and Y direction, it is possible to determine intra-wafer distortion wafer-by-wafer. Both the measurement and modeled results are applied directly as a feed-forward correction to enable wafer level control. In this paper, the capability to do this is evaluated in a feasibility study.

International audience; Single-molecule FRET (smFRET) has become a mainstream technique for studying biomolecular structural dynamics. The rapid and wide adoption of smFRET experiments by an ever- increasing number of groups has generated significant progress in sample preparation, measurement procedures, data analysis, algorithms and documentation. Several labs that employ smFRET approaches have joined forces to inform the smFRET community about streamlining how to perform experiments and analyze results for obtaining quantitative information on biomolecular structure and dynamics. The recent efforts include blind tests to assess the accuracy and the precision of smFRET experiments among different labs using various procedures. These multi-lab studies have led to the development of smFRET procedures and documentation, which are important when submitting entries into the archiving system for integrative structure models, PDB- Dev. This position paper describes the current ‘state of the art’ from different perspectives, points to unresolved methodological issues for quantitative structural studies, provides a set of ‘soft recommendations’ about which an emerging consensus exists, and lists openly available resources for newcomers and seasoned practitioners. To make further progress, we strongly encourage‘open science’ practices.

This paper presents a new Synch-Rel machine designed with a super-inductive electric steel, and compare with the baseline IPM machine for HEV/EV traction application. The comparisons cover the torque-speed capability, machine size, rotor stress, torque ripple and machine efficiency. With the rapid development of the traditional inorganic semiconductor industry, the improvement of its electrical performance is gradually approaching to the limit. It is difficult to continue to improve the performance, lessen the size, and reduce the cost. Therefore, organic semiconductor materials and devices with simple process and low cost have been found and gradually become a new research hotspot. Although organic semiconductor materials and devices are developing rapidly, their electrical properties, such as carrier mobility, are considerably inferior to those of inorganic semiconductors, and their research direction and application prospect are relatively fixed and single. They are developed only in display, sensing, photoelectric conversion and other fields, but the researches on switching power devices, integrated circuits and other fields are still relatively blank. At the same time, power devices are used only in the field of inorganic semiconductors. Therefore, in order to expand the research direction of organic semiconductors and power devices at the same time, a novelsilicon on insulator lateral double-diffused metal oxide semiconductor (SOI LDMOS)power device is reported in this paper. Unlike the SOI LDMOS power devices in traditional inorganic semiconductors, this novel device can be used in the field of organic semiconductors by combining with insulated flexible substrates, which provides a new possibility for the research direction of organic semiconductors. In this paper, both simulation and experiment verify that specific on-resistance (RON,sp) and threshold voltage (VTH) do not change significantly when the conventional SOI LDMOS lacks the substrate electrode, but the breakdown voltage decreases by about 15% due to the absence of the substrate electrode or the longitudinal electric field. In response to this phenomenon, in this paper proposed is a novel SOI LDMOS power device that possesses surface substrate electrodes and drift zone oxide trenches. This novel device can provide electrodes for the substrate again, optimize the horizontal and vertical electric field, and significantly change neither of the RON,sp and the VTH. At the same time, the breakdown voltage (BV) of conventional SOI LDMOS is increased by 57.54%, which alleviates the adverse effects caused by the application in the field of organic semiconductors. This novel SOI LDMOS power device provides the possibility of applying traditional power semiconductors to the research of organic semiconductors, and has innovative significance for expanding the organic semiconductor research.

Lys63-linked diubiquitin dynamically interconverts among three conformational states. The ensemble structures of this multi-domain protein can be determined through conjoined refinement against single-molecule fluorescence resonance energy transfer (smFRET), cross-linking coupled with mass spectrometry (CXMS) and small-angle X-ray scattering (SAXS) restraints. This paper investigates the rotor cavity positioning and the combination of stator slot and rotor effective slot number on the eddy-current loss for interior permanent-magnet/reluctance machines operating under deep field-weakening conditions. A new closed-form expression for the stator and rotor eddy-current loss is developed. The optimal barrier-positioning for the minimum total loss and the effect on the eddy-current loss of varying the stator slot and rotor effective slot number are investigated for one-, two-, three-, and full-layered rotors.

Different functionalized carbon materials were used as supports to prepare Pd/carbon catalysts (Pd/AC, Pd/AC-O, Pd/AC-Cl and Pd/AC-N). The results of various characterization techniques revealed that a substantial increase in the surface functional groups of the supports could influence the size of the Pd nanoparticles and the chemical states of the Pd species due to Pd-support interactions. During the hydrogenation reaction to synthesize dibenzylbiotinmethylester, the Pd/AC-N catalyst, based on a support that was treated with nitric acid (AC-N), provided a higher yield of dibenzylbiotinmethylester than the other catalysts. The increase in surface oxygen groups (mainly CO2-releasing groups) in the AC-N support was relevant to achieving selective hydrogenation. These groups can provide an efficient pathway for the reaction, which may be responsible for the high yield of dibenzylbiotinmethylester.

定量生育期内植物光合碳在植物组织-土壤的分配规律，对于理解全球碳循环有着重要意义。采用13C-CO2脉冲标记结合室内培养，通过元素分析仪-稳定同位素联用（Flash HT-IRMS）分析植物各部分及土壤δ13C值，比较了不同生育期下水稻光合碳在不同组织间的分配规律，并量化了水稻光合碳向土壤碳库的转移。结果表明：（1）水稻地上部和根系干物质量随水稻生育期的增加而呈现递增趋势，不同的生育期表现为：分蘖期>拔节期>抽穗期>扬花期>成熟期。而整个生育期的根冠比为0.2-0.4，分蘖期的根冠比最高，随着水稻生育期的增加而递减，到抽穗期以后根冠比稳定在0.2左右。（2）脉冲标记6h后，水稻地上部和地下部（根系）的δ13C值在-25.52‰——28.33‰，不同器官的δ13C值存在明显分馏效应，且趋势基本一致，即茎杆（籽粒）>叶片（根系）；这种由于水稻生育期特性导致的各器官碳同位素分馏的现象，可用于指示不同生育期下水稻光合碳的分配和去向。（3）不同生育期13C-光合碳在植物-土壤系统的分配规律不同，生长前期光合碳向根系及土壤中分配的比例高，具有较强的碳汇能力，而随生育期光合碳在根系及土壤中的分配比例呈下降趋势，但积累量不断增加。（4）不同生育期13C光合碳在水稻-土壤系统中的分配比例差异明显。水稻分蘖期有近30%光合碳用于根系建成并部分通过根系分泌物进入土壤有机碳库（10%），而到成熟期则向籽粒中分配较多，而且光合碳在土壤中的分配比例也随生育期呈下降趋势。研究结果对稻田土壤有机碳循环过程和调控机制的揭示具有重要的理论意义。

As the economy grows and the environment deteriorates, the renewable energy is urgently needed. The advanced energy storage technology in electronic equipment, electric vehicle, smart grid, etc. becomes more significant. For example, the rechargeable batteries, hydrogen storage media, supercapacitors, the new energy storage devices have received much attention today. The anodes of the lithium ion battery (LIB), as the main body of charging and discharging, should be most important. The ideal anode material for LIBs is required to possess a higher Li capacity and a lower volume expansion. Good reversibility and high Li capacity are balanced necessarily in the electrode material. The poor cycling performance of LIB is usually due to the severe volume expansion of anode in lithiation/delithiation process. In this paper, the Li storage performance of B and N doped graphyne is explored by using the density functional theory method. The Perdew-Burke-Ernzerhof functional of the generalized gradient approximation is chosen. The calculations indicate that the doping of B atoms can enhance the adsorption strength between the Li atom and the graphyne, which can greatly increase the Li storage capacity. The Li storage capacity of B doped graphyne can reach as high as 2061.62 mAh/g, which is 2.77 times that of pristine monolayer graphyne. Meanwhile, the B doping reduces the out-plane diffusion energy barrier of Li, but increases the in-plane diffusion energy barrier slightly by 0.1 eV. On the other hand, the doping of N atoms reduces the interaction between Li and graphyne, however, the Li capacity also increases to 1652.12 mAh/g because the number of the available Li adsorption sites increases. Moreover, the doping of N atoms greatly improves the diffusion performance of Li on graphyne. The in-plane diffusion energy barrier drops to 0.37 eV, and thus the charge-discharge performance of the N doping graphyne is well improved. Therefore, the doping of B and N atoms can remarkably improve the performance of graphyne as the LIB anodes. The remarkable performance of B and N doped graphdiyne shows that it will become a promising LIB anode in the future. The present research can provide a good theoretical basis and thus conduce to guiding the developing of good Li storage materials, and can also supply strong background for experimental researches.
