1. El registre de càncer colo-rectal de Mallorca

Abstract

Since 1982 and at the headquarters of the Académia de Ciéncies Médiques de Catalunya i de Balears in the city of Mallorca, a record has been kept of cases of cancer of the colon and rectum among the population. This register is sponsored by Consell Insular de Mallorca and it covers the island of Mallorca. For the first time, several aspects are described and published of its first 28 months in operation, during which time 331 cases of colo-rectal cancer were collected. Information is given of its distribution as regards age and sex, of the time lapse between the appearance of symptoms and diagnosis its location, its extent, as well as its estimated incidence compared with that in other registers. Emphasis is placed on the quality of the information listed. The possibilities and future developments of this kind of register are discussed. Desde enero de 1982 funciona, en el seno de la Academia de Ciéncies Médiques de Catalunya i de Balears en Ciutat de Mallorca, un registro poblacional de cáncer colorrectal. Este registro es patrocinado por el Consell Insular de Mallorca y su ámbito de actuación es la isla de Mallorca. Se publican, por primera vez, algunos aspectos descriptivos de los primeros 28 meses de funcionamiento que han permitido recoger 331 casos de cáncer colorrectal. Se indica la distribución por edades y sexo, el intervalo síntoma-diagnóstico, la localización, el grado de extensión, así como las tasas de incidencia, que se comparan con otros registros.Es de subrayar la calidad de la información registrada. Se discuten las posibilidades y perspectivas de este tipo de registros.

Abstract

The transformation of total graph structures has been studied from the algebraic point of view over more than two decades now, and it has motivated the development of the so-called double-pushout and single-pushout approaches to graph transformation. In this article we extend the double-pushout approach to the algebraic transformation of partial many-sorted unary algebras. Such a generalization has been motivated by the need to model the transformation of structures which are richer and more complex than acyclic graphs and hypergraphs. The main result presented in this article is an algebraic characterization of the double-pushout transformation in the categories of all homomorphisms and all closed homomorphisms of unary partial algebras over a given signature, together with a corresponding operational characterization which may serve as a basis for implementation. Moreover, both categories are shown to satisfy the strongest of the HLR (High Level Replacement) conditions with respect to closed monomorphisms. HLR conditions are fundamental to rewriting because they guarantee the satisfaction of many rewriting theorems concerning confluence, parallelism and concurrency.

Abstract

First a balancing property on a fuzzy measure is introduced. After that, the conditions of when an additive fuzzy measure is balanced are given and similar results are presented for 0-1 and S–decomposable fuzzy measures where S is a continuous t–conorm. Moreover, the concept of distance between two additive fuzzy measures is presented and some results related to the distance and the balancing property are developed.

Abstract

In this work, we present several ways to obtain different types of weighting triangles, due to these types characterize some interesting properties of Extended Ordered Weighted Averaging operators, EOWA, and Extended Quasi-linear Weighted Mean, EQLWM, as well as of their reverse functions. We show that any quantifier determines an EOWA operator which is also an Extended Aggregation Function, EAF, i.e., the weighting triangle generated by a quantifier is always regular. Moreover, we present different results about generation of weighting triangles by means of sequences and fractal structures. Finally, we introduce a degree of orness of a weighting triangle associated with an EOWA operator. After that, we mention some results on each class of triangle, considering each one of these triangles as triangles associated with their corresponding EOWA operator, and we calculate the ornessof some interesting examples.
