BACKGROUND: Low-frequency variants play an important role in breast cancer (BC) susceptibility. Gene-based methods can increase power by combining multiple variants in the same gene and help identify target genes. METHODS: We evaluated the potential of gene-based aggregation in the Breast Cancer Association Consortium cohorts including 83,471 cases and 59,199 controls. Low-frequency variants were aggregated for individual genes' coding and regulatory regions. Association results in European ancestry samples were compared to single-marker association results in the same cohort. Gene-based associations were also combined in meta-analysis across individuals with European, Asian, African, and Latin American and Hispanic ancestry. RESULTS: In European ancestry samples, 14 genes were significantly associated (q < 0.05) with BC. Of those, two genes, FMNL3 (P = 6.11 × 10-6) and AC058822.1 (P = 1.47 × 10-4), represent new associations. High FMNL3 expression has previously been linked to poor prognosis in several other cancers. Meta-analysis of samples with diverse ancestry discovered further associations including established candidate genes ESR1 and CBLB. Furthermore, literature review and database query found further support for a biologically plausible link with cancer for genes CBLB, FMNL3, FGFR2, LSP1, MAP3K1, and SRGAP2C. CONCLUSIONS: Using extended gene-based aggregation tests including coding and regulatory variation, we report identification of plausible target genes for previously identified single-marker associations with BC as well as the discovery of novel genes implicated in BC development. Including multi ancestral cohorts in this study enabled the identification of otherwise missed disease associations as ESR1 (P = 1.31 × 10-5), demonstrating the importance of diversifying study cohorts.

- Abstract
The American Cancer Society estimates that 60,050 cases of endometrial cancer will be diagnosed in 2016 and that 10,470 will die from endometrial cancer during 2016. Since 1988, incidence rates have increased by 1.3 per cent per year for women under 50 and by 1.9 per cent per year. In women age 50 and older, uterine cancers are usually treated with surgery, radiation, hormones, and/or chemotherapy. Uterine cancer is the most common form of gynecologic cancer. Surgery is the mainstay for staging and optimizing treatment for women with endometrial carcinoma. The surgical approach has evolved rapidly since the late 1980s with the introduction of laparoscopy in the surgical staging of endometrial cancer. An alternative to conventional laparoscopy or robotic surgery is single-port Laparoendoscopic 3-incision surgery which further enhances the cosmetic benefits of minimally invasive surgery, avoiding the potential morbidity associated with multiple incisions. Since it has been observed that it offers greater visibility and accuracy of the area of operation. BACKGROUND: Predict Breast (www.predict.nhs.uk) is an online prognostication and treatment benefit tool for early invasive breast cancer. The aim of this study was to incorporate the prognostic effect of progesterone receptor (PR) status into a new version of PREDICT and to compare its performance to the current version (2.2). METHOD: The prognostic effect of PR status was based on the analysis of data from 45,088 European patients with breast cancer from 49 studies in the Breast Cancer Association Consortium. Cox proportional hazard models were used to estimate the hazard ratio for PR status. Data from a New Zealand study of 11,365 patients with early invasive breast cancer were used for external validation. Model calibration and discrimination were used to test the model performance. RESULTS: Having a PR-positive tumour was associated with a 23% and 28% lower risk of dying from breast cancer for women with oestrogen receptor (ER)-negative and ER-positive breast cancer, respectively. The area under the ROC curve increased with the addition of PR status from 0.807 to 0.809 for patients with ER-negative tumours (p = 0.023) and from 0.898 to 0.902 for patients with ER-positive tumours (p = 2.3 × 10-6) in the New Zealand cohort. Model calibration was modest with 940 observed deaths compared to 1151 predicted. CONCLUSION: The inclusion of the prognostic effect of PR status to PREDICT Breast has led to an improvement of model performance and more accurate absolute treatment benefit predictions for individual patients. Further studies should determine whether the baseline hazard function requires recalibration.

PurposeTo provide precise age-specific risk estimates of cancers other than female breast and ovarian cancers associated with pathogenic variants (PVs) in BRCA1 and BRCA2 for effective cancer risk management.MethodsWe used data from 3,184 BRCA1 and 2,157 BRCA2 families in the Consortium of Investigators of Modifiers of BRCA1/2 to estimate age-specific relative (RR) and absolute risks for 22 first primary cancer types adjusting for family ascertainment.ResultsBRCA1 PVs were associated with risks of male breast (RR = 4.30; 95% CI, 1.09 to 16.96), pancreatic (RR = 2.36; 95% CI, 1.51 to 3.68), and stomach (RR = 2.17; 95% CI, 1.25 to 3.77) cancers. Associations with colorectal and gallbladder cancers were also suggested. BRCA2 PVs were associated with risks of male breast (RR = 44.0; 95% CI, 21.3 to 90.9), stomach (RR = 3.69; 95% CI, 2.40 to 5.67), pancreatic (RR = 3.34; 95% CI, 2.21 to 5.06), and prostate (RR = 2.22; 95% CI, 1.63 to 3.03) cancers. The stomach cancer RR was higher for females than males (6.89 v 2.76; P = .04). The absolute risks to age 80 years ranged from 0.4% for male breast cancer to approximately 2.5% for pancreatic cancer for BRCA1 carriers and from approximately 2.5% for pancreatic cancer to 27% for prostate cancer for BRCA2 carriers.ConclusionIn addition to female breast and ovarian cancers, BRCA1 and BRCA2 PVs are associated with increased risks of male breast, pancreatic, stomach, and prostate (only BRCA2 PVs) cancers, but not with the risks of other previously suggested cancers. The estimated age-specific risks will refine cancer risk management in men and women with BRCA1/2 PVs.

Key Points Question What breast tumor characteristics are associated with rare pathogenic protein truncating or missense variants in breast cancer susceptibility genes? Findings In this case-control study involving 46 387 control participants and 42 680 women with a diagnosis of breast cancer, pathology features (eg, tumor subtype, morphology, size, TNM stage, and lymph node involvement) associated with rare germline (likely) pathogenic variants in 9 different breast cancer susceptibility genes were studied. Substantial differences in tumor subtype distribution by gene were found. Meaning The results of this study suggest that tumor subtypes differ by gene; these findings can potentially inform guidelines for gene panel testing, risk prediction in unaffected individuals, variant classification, and understanding of breast cancer etiology., Importance Rare germline genetic variants in several genes are associated with increased breast cancer (BC) risk, but their precise contributions to different disease subtypes are unclear. This information is relevant to guidelines for gene panel testing and risk prediction. Objective To characterize tumors associated with BC susceptibility genes in large-scale population- or hospital-based studies. Design, Setting, and Participants The multicenter, international case-control analysis of the BRIDGES study included 42 680 patients and 46 387 control participants, comprising women aged 18 to 79 years who were sampled independently of family history from 38 studies. Studies were conducted between 1991 and 2016. Sequencing and analysis took place between 2016 and 2021. Exposures Protein-truncating variants and likely pathogenic missense variants in ATM, BARD1, BRCA1, BRCA2, CHEK2, PALB2, RAD51C, RAD51D, and TP53. Main Outcomes and Measures The intrinsic-like BC subtypes as defined by estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor, and ERBB2 (formerly known as HER2) status, and tumor grade; morphology; size; stage; lymph node involvement; subtype-specific odds ratios (ORs) for carrying protein-truncating variants and pathogenic missense variants in the 9 BC susceptibility genes. Results The mean (SD) ages at interview (control participants) and diagnosis (cases) were 55.1 (11.9) and 55.8 (10.6) years, respectively; all participants were of European or East Asian ethnicity. There was substantial heterogeneity in the distribution of intrinsic subtypes by gene. RAD51C, RAD51D, and BARD1 variants were associated mainly with triple-negative disease (OR, 6.19 [95% CI, 3.17-12.12]; OR, 6.19 [95% CI, 2.99-12.79]; and OR, 10.05 [95% CI, 5.27-19.19], respectively). CHEK2 variants were associated with all subtypes (with ORs ranging from 2.21-3.17) except for triple-negative disease. For ATM variants, the association was strongest for the hormone receptor (HR)+ERBB2− high-grade subtype (OR, 4.99; 95% CI, 3.68-6.76). BRCA1 was associated with increased risk of all subtypes, but the ORs varied widely, being highest for triple-negative disease (OR, 55.32; 95% CI, 40.51-75.55). BRCA2 and PALB2 variants were also associated with triple-negative disease. TP53 variants were most strongly associated with HR+ERBB2+ and HR–ERBB2+ subtypes. Tumors occurring in pathogenic variant carriers were of higher grade. For most genes and subtypes, a decline in ORs was observed with increasing age. Together, the 9 genes were associated with 27.3% of all triple-negative tumors in women 40 years or younger. Conclusions and Relevance The results of this case-control study suggest that variants in the 9 BC risk genes differ substantially in their associated pathology but are generally associated with triple-negative and/or high-grade disease. Knowing the age and tumor subtype distributions associated with individual BC genes can potentially aid guidelines for gene panel testing, risk prediction, and variant classification and guide targeted screening strategies., This case-control study examines tumors associated with breast cancer susceptibility genes in large-scale population- or hospital-based studies.

Joint estimation of Single Nucleotide Polymorphism (SNP) effects in models could improve predictive performance over standard approaches of PRS construction. Here, we implemented computationally efficient, penalized, logistic regression models (lasso, elastic net, stepwise) to individual level genotype data and a Bayesian framework with continuous shrinkage, “select and shrink for summary statistics” (S4), to summary level data for epithelial non-mucinous ovarian cancer risk prediction. We developed the models in a dataset consisting of 23,564 non-mucinous EOC cases and 40,138 controls participating in the Ovarian Cancer Association Consortium (OCAC) and validated the best models in three populations of different ancestries: prospective data from 198,101 women of European ancestries; 7,669 women of East Asian ancestries; 1,072 women of African ancestries, and in 18,915 BRCA1 and 12,337 BRCA2 pathogenic variant carriers of European ancestries. In the external validation data, the model with the strongest association for non-mucinous EOC risk derived from the OCAC model development data was the S4 model (27,240 SNPs) with odds ratios (OR) of 1.38 (95% CI: 1.28–1.48, AUC: 0.588) per unit standard deviation, in women of European ancestries; 1.14 (95% CI: 1.08–1.19, AUC: 0.538) in women of East Asian ancestries; 1.38 (95% CI: 1.21–1.58, AUC: 0.593) in women of African ancestries; hazard ratios of 1.36 (95% CI: 1.29–1.43, AUC: 0.592) in BRCA1 pathogenic variant carriers and 1.49 (95% CI: 1.35–1.64, AUC: 0.624) in BRCA2 pathogenic variant carriers. Incorporation of the S4 PRS in risk prediction models for ovarian cancer may have clinical utility in ovarian cancer prevention programs.

BACKGROUND: It is not known whether modifiable lifestyle factors that predict survival after invasive breast cancer differ by subtype. METHODS: We analyzed data for 121,435 women diagnosed with breast cancer from 67 studies in the Breast Cancer Association Consortium with 16,890 deaths (8,554 breast cancer specific) over 10 years. Cox regression was used to estimate associations between risk factors and 10-year all-cause mortality and breast cancer-specific mortality overall, by estrogen receptor (ER) status, and by intrinsic-like subtype. RESULTS: There was no evidence of heterogeneous associations between risk factors and mortality by subtype (P adj > 0.30). The strongest associations were between all-cause mortality and BMI ≥30 versus 18.5-25 kg/m2 [HR (95% confidence interval (CI), 1.19 (1.06-1.34)]; current versus never smoking [1.37 (1.27-1.47)], high versus low physical activity [0.43 (0.21-0.86)], age ≥30 years versus 0

- Abstract
La andragogía se define como todas aquellas técnicas de enseñanza orientadas a educar personas adultas. En la actualidad se evidencia que la educación no solo está enfocada a niños y jóvenes, sino que las personas adultas hacen parte de este proceso de educación continua. De acuerdo con Bernard la andragogía se puede ver como una ciencia y como un arte, esto debido a que trata no solo aspectos psicológicos sino también como un arte que involucra una práctica social a través de actividades educativas organizadas especialmente para adultos. De acuerdo con la teoría de las inteligencias múltiples de Howard Gardner, la inteligencia espacial es esencial para el pensamiento científico, debido a que se usa para representar y manipular información en el aprendizaje y en la resolución de problemas. Es por esto que la investigación tiene como objetivo potenciar el pensamiento matemático mediante el uso de la hoja de cálculo de Excel y sus funciones como herramienta didáctica en los estudiantes. Las actividades evaluativas que se desarrollan durante cada cohorte están enfocadas en preguntas por competencias, competencias definidas dentro del núcleo temático, es por esto que la teoría de referencia para la solución de problemas fue el modelo de Guzmán, el cual se basa en los modelos de Polya y Schoenfeld y en su propia introspección, de esta manera se introducen refuerzos afectivos que ayuden a eliminar los bloqueos que a veces se producen a la hora de solucionar problemas.

In breast cancer, high levels of homeobox protein Hox-B13 (HOXB13) have been associated with disease progression of ER-positive breast cancer patients and resistance to tamoxifen treatment. Since HOXB13 p.G84E is a prostate cancer risk allele, we evaluated the association between HOXB13 germline mutations and breast cancer risk in a previous study consisting of 3,270 familial non-BRCA1/2 breast cancer cases and 2,327 controls from the Netherlands. Although both recurrent HOXB13 mutations p.G84E and p.R217C were not associated with breast cancer risk, the risk estimation for p.R217C was not very precise. To provide more conclusive evidence regarding the role of HOXB13 in breast cancer susceptibility, we here evaluated the association between HOXB13 mutations and increased breast cancer risk within 81 studies of the international Breast Cancer Association Consortium containing 68,521 invasive breast cancer patients and 54,865 controls. Both HOXB13 p.G84E and p.R217C did not associate with the development of breast cancer in European women, neither in the overall analysis (OR = 1.035, 95% CI = 0.859–1.246, P = 0.718 and OR = 0.798, 95% CI = 0.482–1.322, P = 0.381 respectively), nor in specific high-risk subgroups or breast cancer subtypes. Thus, although involved in breast cancer progression, HOXB13 is not a material breast cancer susceptibility gene.

This monograph carries out a theoretical compilation, which served as the basis for a didactic unit that incorporates role-playing games and puzzle games as tools for teaching the concept of participatory democracy in eleventh grade students of public and private schools in the city of Bogotá.

Breast cancer susceptibility variants frequently show heterogeneity in associations by tumor subtype1-3. To identify novel loci, we performed a genome-wide association study including 133,384 breast cancer cases and 113,789 controls, plus 18,908 BRCA1 mutation carriers (9,414 with breast cancer) of European ancestry, using both standard and novel methodologies that account for underlying tumor heterogeneity by estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 status and tumor grade. Breast cancer susceptibility variants frequently show heterogeneity in associations by tumor subtype1-3. To identify novel loci, we performed a genome-wide association study including 133,384 breast cancer cases and 113,789 controls, plus 18,908 BRCA1 mutation carriers (9,414 with breast cancer) of European ancestry, using both standard and novel methodologies that account for underlying tumor heterogeneity by estrogen receptor, progesterone receptor and human epidermal growth factor receptor 2 status and tumor grade. We identified 32 novel susceptibility loci (P < 5.0 × 10-8), 15 of which showed evidence for associations with at least one tumor feature (false discovery rate < 0.05). Five loci showed associations (P < 0.05) in opposite directions between luminal and non-luminal subtypes. In silico analyses showed that these five loci contained cell-specific enhancers that differed between normal luminal and basal mammary cells. The genetic correlations between five intrinsic-like subtypes ranged from 0.35 to 0.80. The proportion of genome-wide chip heritability explained by all known susceptibility loci was 54.2% for luminal A-like disease and 37.6% for triple-negative disease. The odds ratios of polygenic risk scores, which included 330 variants, for the highest 1% of quantiles compared with middle quantiles were 5.63 and 3.02 for luminal A-like and triple-negative disease, respectively. These findings provide an improved understanding of genetic predisposition to breast cancer subtypes and will inform the development of subtype-specific polygenic risk scores.

n este artículo se estudia el edificio de Correos y Telégrafos de Valencia, construido entre 1915-1922, y diseñado por el arquitecto zaragozano Miguel Ángel Navarro Pérez (Zaragoza 1883 - 1956). Un edificio cuya estética y monumentalidad responden a la arquitectura de signo ecléctico y afrancesado, que constituyó el nuevo centro urbano de Valencia debido a que repetía un poco el esquema de la fachada del Ayuntamiento de dicha ciudad, obra de Martorell y Carbonell. ------------------------ In the following text we want to present the building of Post office and Telegraphs of Valencia, constructed between 1915-1922, and designed by the architect zaragozano Miguel Ángel Navarro Perez (Zaragoza 1883 - 1956). A building whose aesthetics and monumentality respond to the architecture of eclectic and french sign, which constituted the new urban center of Valencia because it repeated a little the scheme of the facade of the Town hall of that city, work of Martorell and Carbonell.

RESULTS: We did not find any variant associated with breast cancer-specific mortality at P < 5 × 10-8. For ER-positive disease, the most significantly associated variant was chr7:rs4717568 (BFDP = 7%, P = 1.28 × 10-7, hazard ratio [HR] = 0.88, 95% confidence interval [CI] = 0.84-0.92); the closest gene is AUTS2. For ER-negative disease, the most significant variant was chr7:rs67918676 (BFDP = 11%, P = 1.38 × 10-7, HR = 1.27, 95% CI = 1.16-1.39); located within a long intergenic non-coding RNA gene (AC004009.3), close to the HOXA gene cluster. CONCLUSIONS: We uncovered germline variants on chromosome 7 at BFDP < 15% close to genes for which there is biological evidence related to breast cancer outcome. However, the paucity of variants associated with mortality at genome-wide significance underpins the challenge in providing genetic-based individualised prognostic information for breast cancer patients.

El rápido crecimiento económico y social de la Sabana de Bogotá ha generado que algunas industrias ubicadas cerca de la cuenca del río Bogotá, emitan sus aguas residuales contaminadas con compuestos que en altas concentraciones pueden ser nocivos, como es el caso de los metales pesados, los cuales pueden ser clasificados como Elementos Potencialmente Tóxicos (EPT), ya que generan daños en los sistemas vivos. Esto ha traído como consecuencia no sólo el cambio en las propiedades físicoquímicas de los recursos naturales, sino que también ha constituido un riesgo para la salud de los seres humanos. Específicamente en esta investigación se evaluó el potencial de fitorremediación de Acacia melanoxylon en concentraciones de cromo entre 10 mg/kg y 500 mg/kg. Como resultado se encontró que el Cr se acumuló principalmente en la zona radical de la planta en un rango de 45.81 mg/kg y 1859 mg/kg. Además se determinaron los factores de concentración para definir su comportamiento en relación con la absorción y traslocación de esta sustancia, encontrándose valores mayores a 1 en el factor de bioconcentración en la raíz (BCF) y valores menores a 1 en el factor de traslocación (TF), para los tratamientos con concentraciones de cromo entre 10 mg/kg y 100 mg/kg. Este resultado indica que la planta puede ser utilizada para remover esta sustancia del suelo mediante un proceso de fitoestabilización. High concentrations compounds found in the water can be harmful, as it is the case of heavy metals, which can be classified as Potentially Toxic Elements (PTE), since they create damage in living systems. This has resulted not only in changes in natural resources physicochemical properties, but it has also constituted a risk to the health of human beings. Specifically, this research evaluated the phytoremediation potential of Acacia melanoxylon in concentrations of chromium between 10 mg/kg and 500 mg/kg. As a result, it was found that Cr accumulated mainly in the rooting zone of the plant in a range of 45.81 mg/kg and 1859 mg/kg. Concentration factors were also determined to define its behavior with regard to the absorption and translocation of this substance, finding values greater than 1 in the bioconcentration factor in the root (BCF) and values less than 1 translocation in factor (TF), for the treatments with concentrations of chromium between 10 mg/kg and 100 mg/kg. The prevalence and spectrum of germline mutations in BRCA1 and BRCA2 have been reported in single populations, with the majority of reports focused on White in Europe and North America. The Consortium of Investigators of Modifiers of BRCA1/2 (CIMBA) has assembled data on 18,435 families with BRCA1 mutations and 11,351 families with BRCA2 mutations ascertained from 69 centers in 49 countries on six continents. This study comprehensively describes the characteristics of the 1,650 unique BRCA1 and 1,731 unique BRCA2 deleterious (disease-associated) mutations identified in the CIMBA database. We observed substantial variation in mutation type and frequency by geographical region and race/ethnicity. In addition to known founder mutations, mutations of relatively high frequency were identified in specific racial/ethnic or geographic groups that may reflect founder mutations and which could be used in targeted (panel) first pass genotyping for specific populations. Knowledge of the population-specific mutational spectrum in BRCA1 and BRCA2 could inform efficient strategies for genetic testing and may justify a more broad-based oncogenetic testing in some populations.

- Abstract
Este artículo estudia el nuevo Mercado de Lanuza, más conocido como Mercado Central de Zaragoza, que fue proyectado en 1895 por el arquitecto aragonés Félix Navarro Pérez quien visitó en 1889 la Exposición Universal de Paris, en donde quedó impactado por su símbolo principal la torre Eiffel, debido a la utilización de las estructuras metálicas en la construcción. Este mercado permitió reunir en un espacio cerrado y con carácter permanente a mayoristas y detallistas, a la vez que se contaba con unas mejores condiciones higiénicas con agua corriente y, a partir de 1918, con luz eléctrica. Asimismo no sólo tiene valor por su tradición, sino que el edificio en sí es una auténtica obra de arte. Tanto es, que el edificio fue considerado en 1978 monumento histórico. Años más tarde, el 22 de octubre de 1982, se consagraría como un espacio de interés cultural. ------------------------------------------------------- In the following text we want to present Lanuza’s new fresh food market, more known as Central fresh food Market of Zaragoza, which was projected in 1895 by the Aragonese architect Félix Navarro Perez who visited in 1889 the Universal Exhibition of Paris, where the Eiffel Tower remained affected by its principal symbol, due to the utilization of the metallic structures in the construction. This fresh food market allowed to assemble in a closed space and with permanent character to wholesalers and retailers, simultaneously that was counting itself with a few better hygienic conditions with current water and, from 1918, with electrical light. Also not only it takes value as its tradition, but the building is an authentic work of art. So much it´s, that the building was considered in 1978 historical monument. Years later, on October 22, 1982, it would devote itself as a space of cultural interest.

En este artículo se estudia el edificio más destacado de la arquitectura de comienzos del siglo XX de la ciudad de Tarazona, el Teatro de Bellas Artes. Construido entre 1918 y 1921, según el arquitecto zaragozano Miguel Ángel Navarro Pérez (Zaragoza 1883-1956). El edificio es un ejemplo de arquitectura eclecticista, con reminiscencias modernistas en su exterior y elementos clasicistas en su interior. Su distribución es la de un teatro clásico a la italiana, con un aforo para 600 personas por lo que constituye la principal infraestructura cultural de la ciudad. -------- In the following text we want to present the building most distinguished from the architecture of beginning of the 20th century of Tarazona’s city, the Theatre of Fine arts. Constructed between 1918 and 1921, according by the architect Miguel Ángel Navarro Perez (Zaragoza 1883-1956). The building is an example to the eclectic architecture of the moment, with modernist reminiscences in its exterior and classical elements in its interior. Its distribution is that of a classic theatre to the Italian, with an appraisal for 600 persons for what it constitutes the principal cultural infrastructure of the city.

La diversidad de contextos en los que se lleva a cabo la instrucción y la variada formación de los profesores de matemáticas en el Instituto Tecnológico de Sonora, ha propiciado la creación de un taller con el fin de estandarizar las competencias matemáticas de los docentes que participan con el departamento de matemáticas. Con base en el principio de la resignificación progresiva de la Teoría Socioepistemológica, se pretende por medio del taller, desarrollar en los profesores el pensamiento geométrico y variacional a través de la resolución de problemas de optimización, utilizando tecnología, para contextualizar las prácticas matemáticas y configurar los significados que se construyen alrededor del concepto de derivada, considerando que este tipo de actividades permite apreciar a las matemáticas en su carácter instrumental al resolver problemas en situaciones reales.

El presente escrito es un avance de investigación doctoral que se sitúa en el trabajo de laboratorio que realizan en la asignatura de Robótica los Ingenieros en Mecatrónica cuando hacen uso de la modelación y el conocimiento trigonométrico. En esta fase inicial se ha realizado un análisis documental sobre modelación (llamada también modelización) porque actualmente se cuenta con diversas perspectivas de ésta para estudiar fenómenos didácticos relativos a la enseñanza y al aprendizaje de la matemática; algunas de las cuales, por su cercanía a la modelación matemática, son muy utilizadas para estudiar la matemática al servicio de la Ingeniería. El análisis documental, se ha considerado bajo ciertas categorías con el fin de perfilar una ruta para estudiar la modelación del Ingeniero en Mecatrónica: primero entender el estatus desde distintos enfoques de modelación, modelo y modelado; segundo identificar y analizar los esquemas o ciclos de modelación que se tienen, tercero conocer los tipos de escenarios que se generan en torno a la modelación y cuarto reconocer aquellos estudios situados en la Ingeniería.

Previous genome-wide association studies among women of European ancestry identified two independent breast cancer susceptibility loci represented by single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) rs13281615 and rs11780156 at 8q24. A fine-mapping study across 2.06 Mb (chr8:127,561,724-129,624,067, hg19) in 55,540 breast cancer cases and 51,168 controls within the Breast Cancer Association Consortium was conducted. Three additional independent association signals in women of European ancestry, represented by rs35961416 (OR = 0.95, 95% CI = 0.93-0.97, conditional p = 5.8 × 10(-6) ), rs7815245 (OR = 0.94, 95% CI = 0.91-0.96, conditional p = 1.1 × 10(-6) ) and rs2033101 (OR = 1.05, 95% CI = 1.02-1.07, conditional p = 1.1 × 10(-4) ) were found. Integrative analysis using functional genomic data from the Roadmap Epigenomics, the Encyclopedia of DNA Elements project, the Cancer Genome Atlas and other public resources implied that SNPs rs7815245 in Signal 3, and rs1121948 in Signal 5 (in linkage disequilibrium with rs11780156, r(2) = 0.77), were putatively functional variants for two of the five independent association signals. The results highlighted multiple 8q24 variants associated with breast cancer susceptibility in women of European ancestry.
