In this paper, firstly, we introduce the concept of convexity in A-metric spaces and show that Mann iteration process converges to the unique fixed point of Zamfirescu type contractions in this newly defined convex A-metric space. Secondly, we define the concept of stability in convex A-metric spaces and establish stability result for the Mann iteration process considered in such spaces. Purpose: Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) has recently proved promising in producing three-dimensional (3D) images of a breast. Algebraic reconstruction technique (ART), which is one of the most frequently used iterative image reconstruction techniques, has been proposed to provide satisfactory images of the breast in detecting masses and micro-calcifications. However, the greatest limitation of DBT imaging is the level of radiation dose due to the very sensitive nature of the breast. Recently, the effect of total variation (TV) minimization to enhance the image quality and to reduce the noise has been investigated in DBT imaging. Studies dealing with 3D TV minimization with ART have attracted increasing attention in the field of image reconstruction. This work investigates if iterative reconstruction techniques applied without and with TV (ART and ART + TV3D) can help reduce the level of dose in DBT imaging.

In this paper, we first define the concept of convexity in G-metric spaces. We then use Mann iterative process in this newly defined convex G-metric space to prove some convergence results for some classes of mappings. In this way, we can extend several existence results to those approximating fixed points. Our results are just new in the setting.

BACKGROUND: Iterative image reconstruction in Digital Breast Tomosynthesis (DBT) is a developing modality that produces three-dimensional (3D) reconstructed images of a breast to detect suspicious lesions. Algebraic reconstruction technique (ART), one of the iterative image reconstruction methods, was applied to reconstruct 3D data of breast and is becoming as one alternative method for the conventional image reconstruction techniques such as filtered back projection (FBP) in DBT imaging.

In this paper, we present some fixed point theorems for contraction of rational type by using a class of pairs of functions satisfying certain assumptions with C-class functions in a complete partial metric space. Also, an example is given to support our main result. Our result extends and generalizes some well-known results of [7] and [8] in metric spaces.

The aim of this study is to reveal the relation between school principals’ personality traits and their perceptions of locus of control and teachers’ perceptions of school effectiveness. A sample group of 54 school principals and 516 teachers, who were chosen by the proportional sampling method, was examined for the study in the metropolitan districts of Aziziye, Palandöken and Yakutiye in Erzurum city center. In this study, which was conducted in the scanning model using a quantitative method, three separate scales were used, namely the Perceived School Effectiveness Index (Se-Index), the Rotter Internal/External Locus of Control Scale, and the Personality Test Based on Adjectives. At the end of the analyses performed in the SPSS software, it was revealed that school principals perceived their personality traits to be highly positive and themselves to be mostly internal control-oriented. Teachers, on the other hand, found the effectiveness of the school they work at to be slightly above the intermediate level. The most important finding of the study, however, is that there is a negative, intermediate-level relation between school principals’ scores the locus of control and teachers’ perceptions of school effectiveness. The school effectiveness increases as school principals’ locus of control becomes internalized. Another important finding is that no significant relation was determined between personality traits of school principals and school effectiveness., Bu araştırmanın amacı, okul müdürlerinin kişilik özellikleri ve denetim odaklarına yönelik algıları ile öğretmenlerin okul etkililiğine yönelik algıları arasındaki ilişkilerin ortaya çıkarılmasıdır. Araştırmada, Erzurum il merkezi Aziziye, Palandöken ve Yakutiye yerleşim merkezlerinde, oranlı eleman örnekleme yöntemiyle seçilen 54 okul müdürü, 516 öğretmenlik bir örneklem grubu üzerinde çalışılmıştır.Tarama modelinde, nicel yöntem kullanılarak gerçekleştirilen bu çalışmada Algılanan Okul Etkiliği Ölçeği(AOEÖ) (Se-İndex), Rotter İç Dış Kontrol Odağı (RİDKO) Ölçeği ve Sıfatlara Dayalı Kişilik Testi (SDKT) olmak üzere üç farklı ölçek kullanılmıştır. SPSS programında yapılan analizler sonucunda okul müdürlerinin kişilik özelliklerini yüksek düzeyde olumlu ve kendilerini daha çok iç denetim odaklı olarak algıladıkları bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğretmenler ise görev yaptıkları okulun etkililiğini orta seviyenin biraz üzerinde bulmuşlardır. Araştırmanın en önemli bulgusu ise okul müdürlerinin denetim odağı puanları ile öğretmenlerin okul etkililiğine yönelik algıları arasında ters yönde, orta düzeyde bir ilişkinin olduğudur. Okul müdürlerinin denetim odağı içselleştikçe okul etkililiği artmıştır. Diğer önemli bir bulgu ise okul yöneticilerinin kişilik özellikleri ile okul etkililiği arasında anlamlı bir ilişkiye rastlanmamıştır.

The purpose of this study is to identify the intrinsic and extrinsic motivators that motivate or demotivate classroom teachers. In accordance with the nature of the study, it was based on the phenomenological design, a qualitative research design. The data were analyzed through content analysis, a qualitative approach to data analysis. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with a total of 19 classroom teachers working for primary schools. The analysis and interviews yielded 63 extrinsic motivators, 19 intrinsic motivators, 82 extrinsic demotivators and 9 intrinsic demotivators. Teachers needed to be supported by a strong and confidence-inspiring administrator so that they could be motivated and thus be successful in what they were supposed to do. The motivators and demotivators were mostly concerned with human relations and human qualities. The classroom teachers working in an area dominated by low socio-economic indicators were observed to need the support of a strong and confidence-inspiring administrator to be motivated. They also required such social experiences as satisfying human relations and a sense of achievement., Bu araştırmanın amacı sınıf öğretmenlerini motive eden ve onların motivasyonunu bozan iç ve dış motivasyon etkenlerini ortaya çıkarmaktır. Araştırmada çalışmanın doğasına uygun olarak nitel araştırma desenlerinden olgu bilim deseni kullanılmıştır. Toplanan veriler nitel veri analiz yaklaşımlarından içerik analizi ile çözümlenmiştir. İlkokullar da görev yapmakta olan 19 sınıf öğretmeni ile yarı yapılandırılmış görüşme tekniği kullanılarak görüşme yapılmıştır. Sınıf öğretmenlerinin motivasyon etkenlerini ortaya çıkarmak için yapılan bu araştırmada, 63 dışsal motive edici etken, 19 içsel motive edici etken, 82 motivasyon bozucu dışsal etken, 9 motivasyonu bozucu içsel etken olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Öğretmenlerin motive olmaları ve buna bağlı olarak çalışmalarında başarılı olabilmeleri için güçlü ve güven telkin edici bir yönetici desteğine ihtiyaç duyulmaktadır. İfade edilen etkenlerin daha çok insan ilişkileri ve insan nitelikleriyle ilgili olduğu görülmektedir. Sosyoekonomik durumu düşük olan bölgelerde sınıf öğretmenlerinin motive olmak için güçlü ve güven telkin edici bir yönetici desteğine, doyum verici insan ilişkilerine ve başarılı olma duygunu yaşama gibi sosyal gereksinimlere ihtiyaçları olduğu görülmüştür.

In this paper, we consider a new iteration process which is faster than all of Picard, Mann, Ishikawa and Agarwal et al. processes. We also prove some strong and weak convergence theorems for the class of nonexpansive mappings in Banach spaces.

Bu araştırmada eğitim deneticilerinin mesleki memnuniyet vememnuniyetsizlik düzeyleri incelenmektedir. Araştırmanın çalışma grubunu2011-2012 eğitim öğretim yılında Erzincan, Bayburt, Kayseri, Gümüşhane veKocaeli illerinde görev yapan toplam 44 ilköğretim müfettişi oluşturmaktadır.Araştırmanın verileri nitel araştırma yöntemiyle toplanmıştır. Veriler yarıyapılandırılmış görüşme formu ile elde edilmiştir. İçerik çözümlemesi ile verilersınıflandırılmıştır. Araştırmanın sonuçlarına göre, müfettişlerin meslekimemnuniyet düzeylerinin düşük olduğu, üst yönetimden, görevin doğasından,çalışma koşullarından ve teftişte yaşanan sorunlardan kaynaklananmemnuniyetsizliklerinin oldukça fazla olduğu görülmektedir. Eğitim örgütlerinde öz değerlendirme okulların mevcut durumu hakkında bilgiverir. Okulların neyi yapıp neyi yapamadıklarını ortaya çıkaran öz değerlendirme süreci okulların etkiliğini ve verimliliğini arttırır. Öz değerlendirme sayesinde okullar kendileri hakkında bilgi sahibi olurken aynı zamanda gelecek açısından da bir değerlendirme yapma fırsatı bulur. Bu çalışmanın amacı 2010-2011 eğitim öğretim yılından itibaren ilköğretim okullarında uygulanmaya başlanan, okulların kendi öz değerlendirmesürecini harekete geçirmesine imkan tanıyacak olan ilköğretim kurumlarıstandartları(İKS) uygulamasına ilişkin ilköğretim okul müdürlerinin görüşlerini değerlendirmektir. Bu amaçla Erzincan il merkezinde bulunan 20 ilköğretim okul yöneticisinin görüşlerine başvurulmuştur. Çalışmada nitel araştırma yöntemi kullanılmıştır veelde edilen bulgular nitel veri analizi yöntemiyle incelenmiştir. Araştırma sonucunagöre okul müdürlerinin genel olarak ilköğretim kurumları standardı uygulaması hakkında olumlu düşüncelere sahip oldukları ancak bu uygulama hakkında yeterli bilgiyesahip olamadıkları, velilerin uygulamaya karşı ilgisiz oldukları, okullarının teknik altyapısının yeterli olmadığı ve uygulama aşamasında bir takım sorunlarla karşılaştıklarıtespit edilmiştir
