Remote sensing scene images are characterized by intra-class diversity and inter-class similarity. When recognizing remote sensing images, traditional image classification algorithms based on deep learning only extract the global features of scene images, ignoring the important role of local key features in classification, which limits the ability of feature expression and restricts the improvement of classification accuracy. Therefore, this paper presents a multi-channel attention fusion network (MCAFNet). First, three channels are used to extract the features of the image. The channel "spatial attention module" is added after the maximum pooling layer of two channels to get the global and local key features of the image. The other channel uses the original model to extract the deep features of the image. Second, features extracted from different channels are effectively fused by the fusion module. Finally, an adaptive weight loss function is designed to automatically adjust the losses in different types of loss functions. Three challenging data sets, UC Merced Land-Use Dataset (UCM), Aerial Image Dataset (AID), and Northwestern Polytechnic University Dataset (NWPU), are selected for the experiment. Experimental results show that our algorithm can effectively recognize scenes and obtain competitive classification results.

With the steady development of China’s economy, under the new economic normal, the creative cultural industry has been continuously optimized and developed in terms of structure, scale and quality, and the connotation of the creative cultural industry has been continuously enriched, forming a three-dimensional and diversified pattern. With the help of high-tech, culture, multimedia and other means, the current creative cultural industry is continuously absorbing and integrating it on a large scale, promoting the optimization, upgrading and innovative development of the industry. The consumer competitiveness evaluation in creative and cultural industries is a classical MAGDM problems. In this paper, WDBA method is designed for solving the probabilistic linguistic MAGDM(PL-MAGDM) with the completely unknown weights. In the end, an empirical application for consumer competitiveness evaluation in creative and cultural industries is used to demonstrate the use of the developed method. The proposed method can also contribute to the selection of suitable alternative successfully in other selection problems.

An efficient and novel method has been developed for the synthesis of indazole-containing biheteroaryls via a domino Sonogashira coupling/azaenyne cycloisomerization/Barton–Kellogg reaction.

Glioblastoma stem cells (GSCs) contributed to the progression, treatment resistance, and relapse of glioblastoma (GBM). However, current researches on GSCs were performed usually outside the human tumor microenvironment, ignoring the importance of the cellular states of primary GSCs. In this study, we leveraged single-cell transcriptome sequencing data of 6 independent GBM cohorts from public databases, and combined lineage and stemness features to identify primary GSCs. We dissected the cell states of GSCs and correlated them with the clinical outcomes of patients. As a result, we constructed a cellular hierarchy where GSCs resided at the center. In addition, we identified and characterized 2 different and recurrent GSCs subpopulations: proliferative GSCs (pGSCs) and quiescent GSCs (qGSCs). The pGSCs showed high cell cycle activity, indicating rapid cell division, while qGSCs showed a quiescent state. Then we traced the processes of tumor development by pseudo-time analysis and tumor phylogeny, and found that GSCs accumulated throughout the whole tumor development period. During the process, pGSCs mainly contributed to the early stage and qGSCs were enriched in the later stage. Finally, we constructed an 8-gene prognostic signature reflecting pGSCs activity and found that patients whose tumors were enriched for the pGSC signature had poor clinical outcomes. Our study highlights the primary GSCs heterogeneity and its correlation to tumor development and clinical outcomes, providing the potential targets for GBM treatment.

There is controversy about the association between vitamin D and cardiovascular disease (CVD). This article aims to explore the association of serum 25-hydroxyvitaminD (25 OHD) with the risk of CVD. PubMed, EMBASE, Web of Science database, OVID, and Cochrane Library databases (last updated in August 2022) were systematically searched. The relationship between 25OHD and the risk of CVD was assessed by using the 95% confidence intervals (CI) and hazard ratio (HR). The effect model was selected by the size of heterogeneity. The meta-analysis included 40 cohort studies that contained 652352 samples. The pooled results showed that a decreased level of 25OHD was associated with an increased relative risk of total CVD events (HR = 1.35, 95% CI: 1.26–1.43). Furthermore, the results also showed that a decreased circulating 25OHD level was associated with an increased mortality of CVD (HR = 1.43, 95% CI: 1.30–1.57) and incidence of CVD (HR = 1.26, 95% CI: 1.16–1.36), especially an increased risk of heart failure (HF) (HR = 1.38, 95% CI: 1.2–1.6), myocardial infarction (MI) (HR = 1.28, 95% CI: 1.13–1.44) and coronary heart disease (CHD) (HR = 1.28, 95% CI: 1.1–1.49). The current meta-analysis shows that reduced serum 25OHD concentrations is not only associated with increased total cardiovascular events and cardiovascular mortality, but also with increased risk of HF, MI, and CHD. The underlying mechanism still needs to be explored further, and well-designed RCTs are needed to confirm the role of vitamin D in the occurrence and development of CVD.

In order to reduce the probability of human error in the cockpit of a civil aircraft, based on the SHEL model, this paper classifies performance shaping factors (PSF) that affect the human factor reliability of the human-machine interface. Then it constructs the relevant PSF system and uses the interpretation structure model to establish the corresponding adjacency matrix. When a multi-level recursive structure is obtained, the Noisy-OR model is introduced to construct the Bayesian network, thus establishing the new human-machine interface evaluation method. Real cases are used to verify the effectiveness of the method thus established through causal inference with the Bayesian network. The evaluation method for the reliability of a set of human factors this paper proposes provides a new approach to evaluating the human-machine interface in the cockpit of a civil aircraft.

ABO blood groups has been associated with risk of several cancers; however, the results for an association with ovarian cancer are inconsistent and little is known about the expression of histo-blood group (ABH) antigens and ABO gene in ovarian tumor tissues.To assess the impact of genotype-derived ABO blood types on the risk of EOC, we conducted a case-control study in 1,870 EOC and 4,829 controls. Expression of A and B antigen in 70 pairs of ovarian tumor tissues and adjacent normal tissues were detected by immunohistochemistry. Gene expression and DNA methylation profiling was conducted in ovarian tumor tissues.We identified that blood group A was associated with increased risk for EOC compared to blood group O (OR = 1.18, 95% CI = 1.03-1.36, p = 0.019). Increased frequency of aberrant expression of histo-blood group antigens was observed in patients with blood group A (76.5%) compared to patients with blood group O (21.1%) and B (5.0%) by immunohistochemistry (p 0.001). ABO gene expression was down-regulated in ovarian tumor tissues compared with paired adjacent normal tissues (p = 0.027). In addition, ABO gene expression was positively correlated with NFYB (r = 0.38, p 0.001) and inversely correlated with DNA methylation level of four CpG sites on ABO gene (cg11879188, r = - 0.3, p = 0.002; cg22535403, r = - 0.30, p = 0.002; cg13506600, r = - 0.22, p = 0.025; cg07241568, r = - 0.21, p = 0.049) in ovarian tumor tissues.We identified blood group A was associated with increased EOC risk in Chinese women and provided the clues of the possible molecular mechanisms of blood group A related to ovarian cancer risk.

Temperate japonica/geng (GJ) rice yield has significantly improved due to intensive breeding efforts, dramatically enhancing global food security. However, little is known about the underlying genomic structural variations (SVs) responsible for this improvement. We compared 58 long-read assemblies comprising cultivated and wild rice species in the present study, revealing 156 319 SVs. The phylogenomic analysis based on the SV dataset detected the putatively selected region of GJ sub-populations. A significant portion of the detected SVs overlapped with genic regions were found to influence the expression of involved genes inside GJ assemblies. Integrating the SVs and causal genetic variants underlying agronomic traits into the analysis enables the precise identification of breeding signatures resulting from complex breeding histories aimed at stress tolerance, yield potential and quality improvement. Further, the results demonstrated genomic and genetic evidence that the SV in the promoter of LTG1 is accounting for chilling sensitivity, and the increased copy numbers of GNP1 were associated with positive effects on grain number. In summary, the current study provides genomic resources for retracing the properties of SVs-shaped agronomic traits during previous breeding procedures, which will assist future genetic, genomic and breeding research on rice.

Polymers are extensively exploited as active materials in a variety of electronics and energy devices because of their tailorable electrical properties, mechanical flexibility, facile processability, and they are lightweight. The polymer devices integrated with self-healing ability offer enhanced reliability, durability, and sustainability. In this Review, we provide an update on the major advancements in the applications of self-healing polymers in the devices, including energy devices, electronic components, optoelectronics, and dielectrics. The differences in fundamental mechanisms and healing strategies between mechanical fracture and electrical breakdown of polymers are underlined. The key concepts of self-healing polymer devices for repairing mechanical integrity and restoring their functions and device performance in response to mechanical and electrical damage are outlined. The advantages and limitations of the current approaches to self-healing polymer devices are systematically summarized. Challenges and future research opportunities are highlighted.

Superlattices-a periodic stacking of two-dimensional layers of two or more materials-provide a versatile scheme for engineering materials with tailored properties1,2. Here we report an intrinsic heterodimensional superlattice consisting of alternating layers of two-dimensional vanadium disulfide (VS2) and a one-dimensional vanadium sulfide (VS) chain array, deposited directly by chemical vapour deposition. This unique superlattice features an unconventional 1T stacking with a monoclinic unit cell of VS2/VS layers identified by scanning transmission electron microscopy. An unexpected Hall effect, persisting up to 380 kelvin, is observed when the magnetic field is in-plane, a condition under which the Hall effect usually vanishes. The observation of this effect is supported by theoretical calculations, and can be attributed to an unconventional anomalous Hall effect owing to an out-of-plane Berry curvature induced by an in-plane magnetic field, which is related to the one-dimensional VS chain. Our work expands the conventional understanding of superlattices and will stimulate the synthesis of more extraordinary superstructures. The ability of endoscopists to identify gastric lesions is uneven. Even experienced endoscopists may miss or misdiagnose lesions due to heavy workload or fatigue or subtle changes in lesions under white-light endoscopy (WLE). This study aimed to develop an artificial intelligence (AI) system that could diagnose six common gastric lesions under WLE and to explore its role in assisting endoscopists in diagnosis.Images of early gastric cancer, advanced gastric cancer, submucosal tumor, polyp, peptic ulcer, erosion, and lesion-free gastric mucosa were retrospectively collected to train and test the system. The performance of the system was compared with that of 12 endoscopists. The performance of endoscopists with or without referring to the system was also evaluated.A total of 29,809 images from 8947 patients and 1579 images from 496 patients were used to train and test the system, respectively. For per-lesion analysis, the overall accuracy of the system was 85.7%, which was comparable to that of senior endoscopists (85.1%, P = 0.729) and significantly higher than that of junior endoscopists (78.8%, P 0.001). With system assistance, the overall accuracies of senior and junior endoscopists increased to 89.3% (4.2%, P 0.001) and 86.2% (7.4%, P 0.001), respectively. Senior and junior endoscopists achieved varying degrees of improvement in the diagnostic performance of other types of lesions except for polyp. The diagnostic times of senior (3.8 vs 3.2 s per image, P = 0.500) and junior endoscopists (6.2 vs 4.6 s per image, P = 0.144) assisted by the system were both slightly shortened, despite no significant differences.The proposed AI system could be applied as an auxiliary tool to reduce the workload of endoscopists and improve the diagnostic accuracy of gastric lesions.

At present, caudate lobectomy (CL) in hilar cholangiocarcinoma (HCCA) was controversial. Our study was designed to investigate the features of caudate lobe invasion (CLI) by whole-mount histologic large sections (WHLS).A total of 46 HCCA patients underwent hemihepatectomy or trisectionectomy combined with CL were included. Serial WHLS (120 mm × 100 mm) were collected, and the relationship between caudate lobe and tumor was retained to determine the incidence of CLI. Hematoxylin and eosin (HE) and immunohistochemical (IHC) staining were completed to further explore the pathway of CLI.The whole region of the Glisson system in caudate lobe and hilar area can be clearly displayed by WHLS, and 32 (32/46 69.6%) patients were identified with CLI. There were three different pathways of CLI with panoramic IHC staining. The most common pathway is through the fibrous connective tissue along Glisson system (20/32 62.5%, without carcinoma in bile ducts). The Bismuth type, tumor size, vascular invasion, pathological type, and hepatic invasion were related to the CLI (p0.05).The incidence and distribution of CLI provided histologic evidence for CL in HCCA. Based on the invasion pathway, it is necessary to assess the fibrous connective tissue in Glisson system of caudate lobe in pathological research and practice.

Two-dimensional (2D) materials with multiphase, multielement crystals such as transition metal chalcogenides (TMCs) (based on V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Cd, Pt and Pd) and transition metal phosphorous chalcogenides (TMPCs) offer a unique platform to explore novel physical phenomena. However, the synthesis of a single-phase/single-composition crystal of these 2D materials via chemical vapour deposition is still challenging. Here we unravel a competitive-chemical-reaction-based growth mechanism to manipulate the nucleation and growth rate. Based on the growth mechanism, 67 types of TMCs and TMPCs with a defined phase, controllable structure and tunable component can be realized. The ferromagnetism and superconductivity in FeXy can be tuned by the y value, such as superconductivity observed in FeX and ferromagnetism in FeS2 monolayers, demonstrating the high quality of as-grown 2D materials. This work paves the way for the multidisciplinary exploration of 2D TMPCs and TMCs with unique properties. Morphological, genetic and transcriptomic characterizations of an EMS-induced wheat paired spikelets (PS) mutant were performed. A novel qualitative locus WPS1 on chromosome 1D was identified. Grain yield of wheat is significantly associated with inflorescence or spike architecture. However, few genes related to wheat spike development have been identified and their underlying mechanisms are largely unknown. In this study, we characterized an ethyl methanesulfonate (EMS)-induced wheat mutant, wheat paired spikelets 1 (wps1). Unlike a single spikelet that usually develops at each node of rachis, a secondary spikelet appeared below the primary spikelet at most of the rachis nodes of wps1. The microscope observation showed that the secondary spikelet initiated later than the primary spikelet. Genetic analysis suggested that the PS of wps1 is controlled by a single dominant nuclear gene, designated WHEAT PAIRED SPIKELETS 1 (WPS1). Further RNA-seq based bulked segregant analysis and molecular marker mapping localized WPS1 in an interval of 208.18-220.92 Mb on the chromosome arm 1DL, which is different to known genes related to spike development in wheat. By using wheat omics data, TraesCS1D02G155200 encoding a HD-ZIP III transcription factor was considered as a strong candidate gene for WPS1. Transcriptomic analysis indicated that PS formation in wps1 is associated with auxin-related pathways and may be regulated by networks involving TB1, Ppd1, FT1, VRN1, etc. This study laid the solid foundation for further validation of the causal gene of WPS1 and explored its regulatory mechanism in PS formation and inflorescence development, which may benefit to kernel yield improvement of wheat based on optimization or design of spike architecture in the future.

Potato (Solanum tuberosum L.) is the world’s most important non-cereal food crop, and the vast majority of commercially grown cultivars are highly heterozygous tetraploids. Advances in diploid hybrid breeding based on true seeds have the potential to revolutionize future potato breeding and production1–4. So far, relatively few studies have examined the genome evolution and diversity of wild and cultivated landrace potatoes, which limits the application of their diversity in potato breeding. Here we assemble 44 high-quality diploid potato genomes from 24 wild and 20 cultivated accessions that are representative of Solanum section Petota, the tuber-bearing clade, as well as 2 genomes from the neighbouring section, Etuberosum. Extensive discordance of phylogenomic relationships suggests the complexity of potato evolution. We find that the potato genome substantially expanded its repertoire of disease-resistance genes when compared with closely related seed-propagated solanaceous crops, indicative of the effect of tuber-based propagation strategies on the evolution of the potato genome. We discover a transcription factor that determines tuber identity and interacts with the mobile tuberization inductive signal SP6A. We also identify 561,433 high-confidence structural variants and construct a map of large inversions, which provides insights for improving inbred lines and precluding potential linkage drag, as exemplified by a 5.8-Mb inversion that is associated with carotenoid content in tubers. This study will accelerate hybrid potato breeding and enrich our understanding of the evolution and biology of potato as a global staple food crop.
