Method of vehicle control strategy evaluation was proposed to evaluate vehicle control strategy. 3DOF nonlinear vehicle model was deduced and verified though vehicle test. Based on Lyapunov theorem and vehicle system characteristics, vehicle’s spatial stability region was given. Though the spatial stability region, control effect of vehicle with four wheel steering (FWS) and direct yaw moment control (DYC) strategies were respectively evaluated. Results show that the stability region defined by Lyapunov and system stability theorem has good effect on characterized vehicle stability and could be a valuable method for vehicle control strategy evaluation.

Improved 5-DOF vehicle which contains nonlinear steering and tire models was established to solve the deficiency of conventional dynamic linear models to analyze coupling characteristics. Based on GPS technology, a developed vehicle handing and steering stability detecting system comprised by Steering Force and Angle Tester, GPS, Gyroscope and high precision Data Collector was introduced. According to Matlab/Simulink platform and vehicle test, the dynamic model was verified. Then some influence factors on bus handing and steering stability such as structure parameters, suspension parameters and tire parameters were analyzed. The results show that the longitudinal position of gravity and the vertical distance of gravity and roll axis have a good effect on vehicle yaw and roll responses. Spring roll stiffness is important parameter for vehicle roll. The pneumatic trail is closely related on steering reversibility and comfort. These researches have direct reference value for bus design.

The subject of the wave–seabed–structure interaction is important for geotechnical and coastal engineering regarding stability analysis of foundations for offshore structures. Most previous theoretical investigations available concerned only with such a pipeline in a uniform single layer seabed. In this paper, a wave–seabed–pipeline system is modeled using finite elements. The seabed is treated as porous medium and characterized by Biot's dynamic equations. To explore the mechanism of the seabed instability, the two possible formulations: partly dynamic (u–p model) and fully dynamic (u–w model) for the wave-induced seabed response are considered. Verification of the proposed model is performed against the previous analytical result and experimental data. Based on the numerical results, the effects of wave and seabed characteristics, such as water depth, permeability, shear modulus, degree of saturation, and pipeline buried depth, on the wave-induced excess pore pressure and vertical effective stress will be examined. Finally, a parametric study will be conducted to examine the effects of wave and soil characteristics on the liquefaction potential. It is worth noting that soil permeability has a very significant influence on the pore pressure generation and liquefaction.

Objective: To examine the healing and remodelling of non-vascularised iliac bone grafts in mandibular reconstruction. Patients and Methods: Non-vascularised iliac bone grafts in 15 patients were observed longitudinally by means of standardised lateral mandibular radiographs. Digital subtraction bone densitometry was used to detect the changes in bone density. Results: The bone density of non-vascularised iliac bone grafts decreased from the first to the sixth month postoperatively, then gradually increased and kept increasing for up to 3 years postoperatively. The decrease in bone graft density advanced more rapidly and lasted for a longer period with an increasing distance away from the residual mandibular bone ends, while the subsequent gain in bone density took a longer time and progressed more slowly. Conclusions: After non-vascularised iliac bone grafting, new bone formation is latent and the bone density is at its lowest level within 6 months postoperatively. After 1 year, new bone formation is active and the bone density increases. This period is more suitable for endosseous implant insertion. Bone near the residual ends of the host mandible is optimal for implants.

The K-Nearest Neighbor Algorithm (K-NN) is an important approach for automatic text classification. In this paper, cluster was applied In order to overcome the disadvantages of the traditional K-NN algorithm. First Clustering was utilized in training set through an improved K-mean approach to select the most representative samples as cluster center. Then we compute the comparability between the testing samples and the central vector of each cluster. A K-NN algorithm based on cluster was presented. The experiment results verify that this classification algorithm is much faster than the traditional K-NN algorithm, and it can raise the accuracy.

A retrospective study of 68 patients was carried out to assess the complications arising from the use of reconstruction plates in the maintainance of space and contour following mandibular segmental resection. Skin or mucosal perforation, plate fracture and loss of screw retention were the main complications. The most susceptible sites to screw loosening in the plates were situated nearest to and farthest from the resection margin on the proximal residual segments. Some of the possible causative biomechanical mechanisms of plate failure were studied using photoelastic models simulating the types of mandibular defect and plate fixation. Isochromatic fringe analysis was used to analyse stress lines in the bone surrounding screws. It was found that, during functional loading, moment and shear forces produced high concentrations of squeeze and press stress in this bone, causing bone resorption with consequent loss of screw retention.

243 patients with tumours of the minor salivary glands were analysed clinicopathologically. The palate was the most common location for the lesions. Mixed tumours (pleomorphic adenomas) were the most common benign tumour type. Muco-epidermoid carcinoma and adenoid cystic carcinoma were the dominant types of malignant tumours. For malignant tumours, the overall 3-year survival rate was 84.0%, 5-year 80.2%, 10-year 66.7% and 15-year 53.6%. The overall recurrency rate was 38.9%. The rate of cervical lymph node metastases and distant metastases rate were both 9.2%.
