Kelurahan Seberang Padang, Kecamatan Padang Selatan merupakan wilayah yang berada di sebelah Kota Padang yang memiliki lebih kurang 200 KK yang terdiri atas 5 RT. Lokasi ini merupakan daerah pelintasan antara Padang-Painan. Ditinjau dari pasar tradisional terdiri dari 2 lokasi dan banyak terdapat warung-warung yang menjual kebutuhan sehari-hari. Disamping itu juga terdapat 1 gedung SD, 2 gedung SMP, dan 1 gedung SMA (PGRI). Terjadinya pandemi global Covid-19 tentu saja berpengaruh terhadap aktivitas sehari-hari maupun kegiatan pembelajaran dari anak-anak, SD, SMP, dan SMA serta masyarakat di kelurahan tersebut untuk pemenuhan kebutuhan pokok mereka. Apalagi masalah utama dari Covid-19 tidak hanya tentang akibat yang ditimbulkan oleh virus terhadap penderita tapi juga tentang penularannya yang sangat cepat. Oleh karena itu untuk mengedukasi warga masyarakat yang ada di sekitar kelurahan Seberang Padang maka beberapa Dosen Kimia FMIPA Unand dengan bantuan beberapa orang mahasiswa telah melaksanakan pelatihan kepada warga masyarakat tentang pembuatan desinfektan dan hand sanitizer yang bisa mengatasi terjadinya penularan Covid-19, selain itu juga diberikan bantuan masker dan sembako bagi warga yang kurang mampu di masing-masing RT.

To meet the consumption needs of fish and vegetables by utilizing a narrow urban land it can be used an aquaponic system. The aquaponic system is an integration of fish farming with hydroponic cultivation that utilizes the remains of feed and fish waste into nutrients for plants with the help of nitrifying bacteria. In this study used tilapia (Oreochromis niloticus) and Pakcoy (Brassica rapa L). Determination of ammonia, nitrite, and nitrate concentration aims to find the ammonia change to nitrite and nitrate in fish ponds, biofilter, and hydroponic sequences, and their absorption by plants. The ammonia concentration at three sampling points (3.231-8.989) mg/L and has exceeded the threshold of 0.02 mg/L, while for ammonia concentrations in each sample of pakcoy plant (558.563-2,001.659)mg/Kg. The concentration of nitrite (0.008-0.760)mg/L and has exceeded the standard quality threshold of 0.06 mg/L, except in the 0 day water sample sample 0.009 mg/ L and the water sample after the biofilter 0.008 mg/L, the concentration of nitrite pakcoy plant (3.764-12.321)mg/Kg. Nitrate concentration in water sample (1.046-2.275)mg/L, and still below the standard threshold of freshwater aquaculture (20-30)mg/L, nitrate concentration in pakcoy plant (4,890.09-12,864.7)mg/Kg. Ammonia and nitrite concentrations have exceeded the threshold, while nitrate concentrations are still below the threshold.

Phenol (C 6 H 5 OH) is a common contaminant in wastewater. In certain concentrations, phenol can inhibit the activity of microorganisms and give adverse effects to human health, such as liver and kidney damage, perfect heart rate, and lower blood pressure . In this study, phenol was degraded with and without N-doped TiO 2 under photolysis UV-light (10 Watts, λ = 365 nm) and visible-light (13 watt Philips, lux= 1400, λ = 465-640 nm) irradiation . The reduction of phenol concentration was measured by a UV-Vis spectrophotometer at a wavelength 200-400 nm. Some parameters such as catalyst dose, irradiation times and type of light sources were studied. The XRD and DRS UV-Vis characterization confirm that the nitrogen modified of titania catalyst potentially actives in visible-light. The N-doped TiO 2 is able to catalyze and improve the efficiency of phenol degradation in photocatalysis system. Phenol with initial concentration 8 mg/L was degraded by 33.89% and 30.51% without catalyst and increased to be 90 . 8% and 67.80% by addition of 1 5 mg N-doped TiO 2 catalyst under UV-light and visible-light for 210 minutes photolysis , respectively. From the results , irradiation using UV-light achieves higher efficiency than visible-light on phenol degradation.

The case of how handling the fresh fish which used the dangerous chemical material (formaldehyde) is still found in society, so that is why it is necesarry to find the safety way to handle the fresh fish in. It has been held the research about the influence of on the effect of some treatment in reduction the formaldehyde level on fish determined by spectrophotometry UV-Visible at wavelength 412 nm and 40°C. In the preliminary research the fish is soaked in formaldehyde liquid (100 mg/mL) for 24 hours, then washed, soaked and boiled. Then, the filtrate is reacted with Nash reagent. The yellow color which has formed was measured at λ 412 nm. The result shows there is the reduction of formaldehyde level in the sample about 43.9 % after washing, 33.3 % after soaking, 53.8 % after boiling. After that, the fish that was spread in the market which suspected containing the formaldehyde then washed, soaked and boiled. The result shows there is the reduction of formalin level in sample 1 about 22,7 % after washing, 17.0% after soaking, and 96.1 % after boiling. While in sample 2, 41.8 % after washing, 56.2 % after soaking, and 95.4 % after boiling.

ABSTRAK Penelitian tentang penentuan kandungan logam berat Fe, Cu, Pb, dan Cd dalam sedimen di sekitar keramba jaring apung di perairan danau Maninjau telah dilakukan. Sampel sedimen diambil pada 7 titik di lokasi dimana terdapat keramba jaring apung. Selanjutnya sampel didestruksi dengan HNO3 dan H2O2, kemudian kandungan logam diukur dengan menggunakan Spektrofotometer Serapan Atom (SSA). Dari hasil analisis sampel sedimen danau Maninjau diperoleh kandungan logam Fe berkisar antara 772,77 – 946,78 mg/kg, logam Cu berkisar antara 447,92 – 531,44 mg/kg, logam Pb berkisar antara 356,81 – 483,47 mg/kg dan logam Cd berkisar antara 249,68 – 318,95 mg/kg. Hasil yang didapat menunjukkan bahwa keempat logam telah melampaui ambang batas yang telah ditetapkan oleh Roseau National d Observation. Keywords: Logam berat, sedimen,dekstruksi
