During the development of complex gas reservoirs, the risk decision-making problem often emerges. Thus, the study on risk assessment is an important tool used to identify potential hazards and create appropriate avoidance measures accordingly. Based on the analysis of seven types of risk factors in gas reservoir development planning, this paper aims to clarify the logical relationship between the risk factors in the strategic planning of natural gas development. The comprehensive research on target risks in the gas reservoir development planning based on stochastic simulation was carried out. The “probability curve scanning method” was used to evaluate objective risk factors, while the decision-making risk factors were evaluated using the “probability curve displacement method”. According to the realization probability and dispersion degree of the planned target combined with the risk grade evaluation matrix, the planning target evaluation risk grade was implemented. Moreover, the planning unit risk grade evaluation was obtained at different stages. Regarding the specific production capacity conditions in gas wells (horizontal and vertical wells) and gas reservoir water invasion – the probability method with Monte Carlo stochastic simulation was used to calculate the production and water invasion volumes. The established decision-making risk technology for gas reservoir development, along with the associated supporting procedures can be used to evaluate the risks of reservoir development planning, production, and water invasion.

In this paper, the limestone specimens are heated from room temperature 25 to 800 °C in a high temperature furnace and then are subjected to Brazilian test with the AG-I250 electronic precision material testing machine. The physical properties, mechanical properties, disc failure pattern, energy absorbed per unit area and damage characteristics of disc are comprehensively investigated. The results show that: with the increase of temperature, the changing trends of tensile strength, peak strain, tensile modulus and accumulated energy absorbed per unit area of disc are similar, they are first increases, then decrease, the energy consumption index is consistent with the macroscopic damage characteristics; the value of es increase first and then reduce, reaches the maximum at 600 °C. The value of n is increasing and fluctuating, but the change trend of Dc is opposite, which is decreasing and fluctuating. The slope of the damage variable-strain curves decreases first and then increases, the minimum value at 600 °C. This study is of significance to the prediction and evaluation of the stability and safety of rock mass post-high temperature.

The recently observed diphoton resonance around 750~GeV at the LHC Run-2 could be interpreted as a weak singlet scalar. The scalar might also decay into a pair of $Z$-boson and photon. The $Z$-boson is highly boosted and appears as a fat jet in the detector. We use the jet substructure method to explore the possibility of discovering the singlet scalar in the process of $pp\to S\to Z\gamma$ in the future LHC experiment., Comment: Boosted Z+gamma mode added; more realistic backgrounds considered; references updated

The sintering resistance for conductive TiB2 and non-conductive Al2O3 as well as empty die during pulse current sintering were investigated in this paper. Equivalent resistances were measured by current and valtage during sintering the conductive and non-conductive materials in the same conditions. It is found that the current paths for conductive are different from those for non-conductive materials. For non-conductive materials, sintering resistances are influenced by powder sizes and heating rates, which indicates that pulse current has some interaction with non-conductive powders. For conductive TiB2, sintering resistances are influenced by heating rates and ball-milling time, which indicates the effect of powders activated by spark.

The anisotropic thermal conductivity of Tl2Ba2CaCu2O8 and YBa2Cu3O7 single crystals have been measured. In contrast to some earlier measurements on YBa2Cu3O7, we found both an in-plane and an out-of-plane anomaly for these two compounds. We argue that phonon-phonon scattering may also play some role in the phenomenon.
