Horizontal wells in the Middle East are mainly completed with 6-inch open hole, and some wells are put into the screen in the horizontal section. This kind of wellbore structure can meet the production demand in the early stage. But it is not conducive to the later fracturing or acid fracturing, because the open hole section cannot be effectively segmented, and the targeted injection control or segmented production control cannot be carried out after stimulation. In order to realize the segmented stimulation of the open hole, the secondary completion string is run in on the premise of keeping the existing string unchanged, which is used for segmented fracturing and segmented injection or production control after fracturing. The string consists of open hole packers, switchable sliding sleeves, toe anchor, etc. Each part is connected with 4-1/2 inches’ base pipe. All sliding sleeves are closed when they are lowered, and are opened through soluble rubber plugs. After fracturing operation, the sliding sleeve can be opened by coiled tubing with switch tools and the horizontal pipe string remained as the production pipe string. Through the laboratory test, the switchable sliding sleeve and open hole packer can be used under the conditions of no more than 180 °C and pressure difference no more than 60MPa, and are resistant to hydrogen sulfide and carbon dioxide corrosion. From 2012 to 2020, the switchable sliding sleeve has been used in 187 wells in the eastern oilfield of China, including 36 vertical wells and 151 horizontal wells, with a total of 1449 sets of sliding sleeves. The maximum pumping rate of hydraulic fracturing is 12 m³/min with up to 21 fracture stages. The maximum temperature is 135°C with up to 12989 m³ of fracturing fluid and 1018 m³ of sand injected into a single well. The maximum well depth is 4995 m (MD) and the maximum vertical depth is 4200 m (TVD). The technology realizes the segmented stimulation of low permeability reservoirs in the Middle East under the existing horizontal open hole completion conditions, realizes the segmented control of water injection wells and segmented production of production wells, saves the operation cost and prolongs the life cycle of old wells. However, in order to reduce fracturing investment, casing completion is still recommended for new wells with low permeability reservoirs.

Inorganic/polymer hybrid hydrogels generally exhibit excellent mechanical properties, while extra function include luminescence are extremely explored due to the further application in sensors and optoelectronic devices. Herein, we report the rare-earth (RE) complex/silica nanoparticles (SNs) luminescent hybrid polyethylene glycol (PEG) hydrogels showing stable luminescence. The hybrid hydrogels coordinated with RE (Eu3+) complex are fabricated via a convenient in situ photocrosslinked procedure. The coordination polymers showed red luminescent color under the 365 nm UV irradiation. Furthermore, the hybrid hydrogel exhibited long luminescence lifetime. These properties of hybrid luminescent hydrogel gave rise to a great improvement in the potential applications as a soft material.

In this study, a column experiment was employed to evaluate the nuclide migration behavior in the surrounding rock medium of a near-surface disposal site in China and to investigate the advection–dispersion behavior of tritium (H-3) and plutonium-238 (Pu-238) in highly weathered argillaceous shale. A reasonable numerical model was selected to fit the experimental breakthrough curves (BTCs) and to obtain the relevant migration parameters. The results show the following: (1) the internal structure of the highly weathered argillaceous shale exhibited heterogeneity, and the nuclide migration BTC showed characteristics of a “curve peak moving forward” and a “tail curve trailing”; (2) compared with other models, the stream tube mode could better fit the BTCs and obtain the average dispersion coefficient , average distribution coefficient , and other parameters; (3) compared to the results of the batch experiment, the distribution coefficient Kd obtained from the column experiment was smaller than that obtained from the batch experiment, which is speculated to be due to the influence of contact time and the contact area between the nuclide and the medium.

The principle of self-developed hyperspectral reflectometer is introduced. The instrument has long-term automatic observation capability, and its spectral range covers the visible-short-wave infrared band. The functions of instrument include ground spectral reflectance observation, sky diffuse irradiance, total irradiance, diffuse total ratio measurement, atmospheric optical thickness measurement and long-term automatic observation. Among these the observation of the spectral reflectance of the ground is the core function of the instrument. According to the principle of ratiometric radiation measurement, the uncertainty of the reflectance measurement of the instrument depends on the uncertainty of irradiance calibration and radiance calibration. In order to verify the measurement accuracy of the instrument, the uncertainty of the instrument irradiance calibration and radiance calibration is quantitatively analyzed, and the uncertainty of the hyperspectral field reflectometer is calculated to be less than 1.74%, which meets the technical index requirements of less than 2%.

In order to realize the quantitative application of satellite remote sensing data and adapt to the demand of field calibration of hyper-spectral remote sensors, the solar direct spectral irradiance-meter was developed. According to the sampling principle of spectral irradiance, the irradiance-meter was designed with some technical improvements, the radiometric calibration based on system-level detector were adopted. Irradiance-meter took part in field calibration experiment on Dunhuang radiometric calibration sites and the correct data results were collected. The measurement results of spectral irradiance were consistent with simulated ground irradiance by MODTRAN model. The relative deviation of atmospheric optical depth(AOD) compared with solar radiometer CE318 was less than 4.84%. The whole day results of the irradiance observations and atmospheric transmission in the data applications were collected, the local atmosphere mode and the change of environment were reflected accurately, the input information of the atmospheric parameter were provided for the study of atmospheric properties and field calibration of remote sensors.

Test site vicarious calibration provides an absolute radiometric calibration for sensors. Surface reflectance is a critical parameter to be measured during a vicarious calibration field campaign. In order to realize long-term high precision observations of surface spectral reflectance in solar reflective bands, Automated Self-Calibration Spectra-Radiometer (ASCSR) was developed. ASCSR measures the global irradiance and the ground reflected radiance respectively with high spectral resolution from 400nm-2400 nm, the ratio of the two measurements is the surface reflectance. The degradation influences of instrument sensors and optical elements are removed by ratio-measurements and self-calibration. In the past two years ASCSR deployed in Dunhuang test site for continuous spectral reflectance measurements over 4 weeks. The measurements result of ASCSR is compared with traditional measurements which used SVC spectra-radiometer.

A new type of digital ultrasonic inspection device is designed based on pulse reflecting technique which use the FPGA and the ARM technology. Which can build a general platform to adopt different applications and requirements. The FPGA can be flexible to achieve the task of controlling and signal processing, and the ARM embedded system can be used as the core module for controlling testing parameters and display. Comparing with the methods of a data acquisition card & a microprocessor, the device has the characteristic of more efficient, convenient upgrading and maintenance.
