As more and more mobile users use social networks to interact with other people currently, the resource limitation of mobile devices becomes an urgent problem to be solved. However, being a novel type of mobile cloud, the ad hoc mobile cloud allows participating mobile devices to share resources with other neighboring mobile devices, which can help the mobile device process a large amount of compute-intensive applications and conserve energy. In this paper, a mobile user behavior based topology formation and optimization in ad hoc mobile cloud is proposed. The mobile device nodes having similar behavioral features are grouped and formed as an ad hoc mobile cloud, which can reduce network delay and improve efficiency of node interaction. Subsequently, a flower pollination based offloading strategy is presented to reduce response time and save energy consumption. The experiment results show that our proposed ad hoc mobile cloud topology outperforms in scalability, while the offloading algorithm can reduce approximately 25%–50% response time and energy consumption as compared with that of other benchmark algorithms.

Micro-cloud, as one kind of mobile cloud computing modes, can reduce network delay and alleviate resource constraint of mobile devices. In this mode, mobile devices use their idle resources to provide services for others. Due to the mobility, irregularity of mobile devices, the stability problem of micro-cloud environment still remains challenging. In order to increase the stability of micro-cloud and decrease network delay, the interest-related and location-aware micro-cloud topology is proposed in this paper. The interest-related mobile device nodes are classified into the same micro-cloud which can raise the probability of resource reuse. For reducing failed requests and enhancing the scalability of micro-cloud topology, both node location and node service capacity are considered. Moreover, the bacteria foraging-based offloading algorithm for interest-related micro-cloud topology is proposed, which is an energy-efficient and response time constraint offloading approach. The experiments are conducted and the experiment results show that the location-aware interest-related micro-cloud topology has better stability and scalability, while the bacteria foraging-based offloading algorithm performs better in terms of reducing response time and energy.

In this paper, two-channel and differential dielectric spectroscopy (TD-DES) measurement method has been proposed and the corresponding TD-DES Analyzer based on AD5933 impedance converter chip has been designed. Both of the theoretical analysis of TD-DES measurement and the TD-DES experimental results resulted from oxidation-series samples prepared by simulation oxidation and in-service series samples collected from different in-service equipments have proved that TD-DES method can improve the measurement sensitivity significantly. Two typical stages for lubricating oil degradation process including the homogeneous DSP stage and the heterogeneous interfacial stage have been discovered and verified by the TD-DES characteristics data analysis for the oxidation-series and in-service series samples, especially the aqueous Ox_13-series and Ox_14-series samples. Good linear relationships between TD-DES data and FT-IR peak areas for both oxidation-series and in-service series samples have been obtained with the correlation coefficients are all greater than 0.93. TD-DES is a new effective method for lubricating oil quality sensing.

In this piece, we considered the effect of different building configurations on the concentrations of traffic-related or other pollution. For this study, we used a numerical model capable of reproducing the very complex airflows at small scales in urban areas (the Quick Urban and Industrial Complex model, QUIC). We then validated the model’s data against an extensive field dataset collected in an earlier study. Drawing from this dataset, we explored the value of open space interspersed with tall buildings, and of clustering buildings instead of spacing them evenly in dense urban areas.

This article examines the moderating effects of online interactivity between buyers and sellers, focusing on when buyers are willing to post comments, especially favorable comments on an online feedback system. Results show: in high online interactivity between buyers and sellers, satisfaction positively influences buyers' willingness of favorable comments but with no influence on general comment willingness, while material incentives positively influences general comment willingness but with no influence on favorable comment willingness. However, executive cost negatively influences favorable comments and general comment willingness regardless of the level of interactivity. This paper contributes to the WOM literature and interaction theory.

The research on brand psychological contract violation does not only mean to show negative results, but also find a way to avoid possible influences or damages. Based on relevant findings home and abroad, this article takes KFC, a typical example in the F&B industry, as the research subject, and proves that a brand's crisis management and consumers' attribution of responsibility have outstanding intervention in a brand's psychological contract violation. Results of the empirical study provides theoretical references to China's service enterprises with regard to brand relationship management strategy in the backdrop of globalization.

This paper is to analyze service brand and psychological contract violation's influence on customer loyalty based on research achievement of psychological contract and customer loyalty at home and abroad, using the typical representative of catering industry, KFC, as the study subject. By defining brand psychological contract under marketing situation, it also studies the intervention effect of brand crisis management on customer perception. The empirical result provides reference and theoretical inspiration for the customer relationship management strategy of service enterprises in China under the background of globalization.

The scientific communities studying atmospheric chemistry and its effects on air quality and climate change extensively use trace gas retrievals from thermal infrared (TIR) satellite observations. These products have been provided by NASA Earth Observing System (EOS) instruments, such as the Tropospheric Emission Spectrometer (TES), th"e Atmospheric Infrared Sounder (AIRS), and the Measurements of Pollution In The Troposphere (MOPITT) instruments, as well as by the Infrared Atmospheric Sounding Interferometer (IASI) aboard the EUMETSAT MetOp satellites. However, all of the EOS TIR sounders are currently well past their expected design lifetimes, and NASA does not have current plans to replace these instruments. This places critical data products at risk. The loss of these products would substantially harm key scientific studies focused on air quality, climate change, and Earth system processes. There is, however, a solution. The Cross-track Infrared Sounder (CrIS) instrument, a Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) spectrometer currently flying aboard the joint NOAA, NASA and DOD Suomi National Polar-orbiting Partnership (Suomi-NPP) satellite, has the potential to continue many of these trace gas data records. As CrIS will also be flown aboard the upcoming NOAA Joint Polar Satellite System (JPSS) satellites, it could continue to produce TIR trace gas retrievals throughout the coming decade and beyond. The CrIS Atmospheric Chemistry Data Users Workshop, held at NOAA Center for Weather and Climate Prediction in College Park, MD, was designed to ensure that CrIS could reach its full potential as an atmospheric composition instrument.
