Aedeagus (Figs 5 A���D): ventral processes of parameres abruptly narrowing apically, rounded at apices, moderately bent towards each other; conjoint dorsal plate slightly shorter than ventral processes, widely and roundly emarginate in middle of apical margin, small and rightly emarginate at lateroapical angles; middle emargination with a narrow and transverse protuberance, which vertically bent ventrally, beside protuberance with narrow transverse ridge on each side of inner surface; laterophyses conjoint, slightly thickened in middle of apical part, which is opposite to the protuberance of conjoint dorsal plate, with latero-apical angles slightly extended dorsally, slightly bifurcated and acute at apices. Body orange, head black at both sides of dorsum, mandibles dark brown at apex, antennae black at the apical part of the antennomeres X and the whole XI, tarsi, tibiae and apical part of femora black, elytra blue with strongly metallic shine. Body densely covered with a fine, short, semi-erect brown pubescence. Head rounded, across eyes slightly narrower than anterior margin of pronotum, its surface slightly sparsely and finely punctate; eyes moderately protruding; antennae filiform and extending to elytral mid-length, antennomere II about twice as long as wide, antennomere III slightly longer than II, antennomere IV about one-third longer than III, antennomeres V���X gradually slenderer and shortened, antennomere XI slightly longer than X and pointed at apex, antennomeres VI���XI each with a smooth narrow oblong or short longitudinal impression along apical part of outer margin. Pronotum transverse, about 1.3 times as wide as long, anterior margin weakly bisinuate, lateral margins subparallel, posterior margin arcuate and finely bordered, anterior and posterior angles almost rectangular, rounded at apex, disc distinctly convex postero-laterally, surface slightly sparsely and finely punctate. Elytra about 3.5 times as long as pronotum, 2.3 times longer than humeral width, with lateral margins subparallel, very finely and sparsely punctate at basal parts, lustrous, rest roughly rugulose-lacunose. Internal genitalia (Fig. 4D): diverticulum situated at apex of vagina, global and rounded at apex; spermatheca slightly expanded apically and rounded at apex; accessory gland slightly longer than spermatheca. Variability within the type series. Sometimes head, antennomeres X and/or femora uniformly orange, tibiae uniformly black violaceous. Measurements. Body length: 12.0���15.0 mm (holotype: 13.3 mm); width: 3.5���4.5 mm (holotype: 4.2 mm). Diagnosis. The newly described species is similar to T. (Telephorops) uniformis, but differs from the latter in the structures of the aedeagus and female abdominal sternite VIII. The differences are described in detail in the key. Etymology. The safety diagnostic inspection of large plate structures, such as nuclear power plant containment liner plates and aircraft wings, is an important issue directly related to the safety of life. This research intends to present a more quantitative defect imaging in the structural health monitoring (SHM) technique by using a wide range of diagnostic techniques using guided ultrasound. A noncontact detection system was applied to compensate for such difficulties because direct access inspection is not possible for high-temperature and massive areas such as nuclear power plants and aircraft. Noncontact systems use unstable pulse laser and air-coupled transducers. Automatic detection systems were built to increase inspection speed and precision and the signal was measured. In addition, a new Difference Hilbert Back Projection (DHB) algorithm that can replace the reconstruction algorithm for the probabilistic inspection of damage (RAPID) algorithm used for imaging defects has been successfully applied to quantitative imaging of plate structure defects. Using an automatic detection system, the precision and detection efficiency of data collection has been greatly improved, and the same results can be obtained by reducing errors in experimental conditions that can occur in repeated experiments. Defects were made in two specimens, and comparative analysis was performed to see if each algorithm can quantitatively represent defects in multiple defects. The new DHB algorithm presented the possibility of observing and predicting the growth direction of defects through the continuous monitoring system.

In order to make the watertight connector localized, this paper mainly studies the outer insulating material neoprene 2442 (CR2442) of the watertight connector from the material, and improves the physical and mechanical properties of the CR2442 and the adhesion of the CR2442 to the brass by designing the formula. The performance and finalization of the watertight connector molding and vulcanization molds are designed to meet the molding needs of watertight connectors. Through research, it is found that the CR2442 optimized by this paper has good physical and mechanical properties and adhesive properties.

Pentacentrus sororius sp. nov. Figs. 3, 8���11 http://lsid.speciesfile.org/urn:lsid: Orthoptera.speciesfile.org:TaxonName:498636 Type material. Holotype ♂: CHINA, Yunnan, Longchuan, Huguo, 9.VIII.2013, leg. Yanju Dong. Paratype: 1♂: same data as the holotype. Diagnosis. This new species is similar to P. acutiparamerus Liu & Shi, but is distinguished by the thin lateral lobes of the epiphallus which are bent outwards and the epiphallus parameres distinctly bent inwards at apex. In P. acutiparamerus, the lateral lobes of epiphallus are rather wide and straight, and the epiphallus parameres only slightly bend inwards at apex. Description. Male: Body small and slender (Fig. 3). Head rather short, frontal rostrum as wide as scapus; median ocellus small and transverse oval, lateral ocellus nearly round, eyes rather oval and distinctly projecting; apical joint of maxillary palpus widened and sloped at apex, rather longer than third joint; apical joint of labial palpus widened, longer than second joint. Pronotum obviously wider than long; anterior margin slightly straight, posterior margin sinuate and protruding on midway; lateral lobes longer as same as high, anterior lower angles round, posterior lower angles nearly round, lower margin obviously round. Tegmina extending over apex of abdomen, dorsal area with four longitudinal veins; hind wings distinctly longer than tegmina, reaching apex of hind tibia. Fore tibia with a large and oblong internal tympanum, nearly half the length of the tibia, without external tympanum. Hind tibia with three long spines along either margin of dorsal side of apical part, and some very small spines on basal part, of which 2-3 are placed along the outer margin and 1���2 along the inner margin. Abdominal tergite I with a pair of swellings, II with a swelling in center and inclined forwards. Supra-anal plate (Fig. 11) wider than long, mid-posterior membranous; dorsal area with two short setae area in centre; posterior margin nearly straight. Subgenital plate rather long, with posterior margin narrowly rounded and nearly straight. Genitalia (Figs. 8���10): epiphallus rather short; medial lobes of epiphallus long, thin with acute teeth; lateral lobes of epiphallus thin, long and sac-like covered with short spines, clearly bent outwards; epiphallus parameres long and acute at apex; ectophallus parameres rather short and bent outwards, acute at apex. Female. Unknown. Coloration. Body dark brown. Tegmina light brown with some irregular black spot; lateral field brown. All femora dark brown, tibia light brown. Measurements (mm). Male: body 8.2���8.5, length with wings 14.2���14.6, pronotum 1.1���1.2, tegmen 9.5���9.6, hind femur 5.5���5.8. Distribution. China (Yunnan). Etymology. Enantioselective Michael addition of oxazolones to in situ generated vinylogous imine intermediates is reported. A series of optically active 3-alkylindole derivatives with adjacent quaternary and tertiary stereocenters was obtained. The resulting adducts can readily be converted into syn-configured α,β-disubstituted tryptophan derivatives without compromising the stereoselectivities.

An organocatalytic asymmetric vinylogous Michael addition of dicyanoolefins to vinylogous imine intermediates generated in situ from arenesulfonylalkylindoles has been developed. This protocol provides an easy and convenient approach to C-3 alkyl-substituted indole derivatives with high yields (up to 93%), diastereomeric ratios (up to 99:1 dr) and enantioselectivities (up to 99% ee). The resulting adducts can be also readily converted to pyrazolo derivatives or α-alkylation products of ketones without any decrease of the diastereoselectivities and enantioselectivities.

Silicone rubber (SiR) has been an important material widely used in the cable accessories in cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) cables. The electrical tree is a serious threat to SiR insulation and it will cause breakdown when reaches the ground. The high carrying capacity of superconducting cable makes the magnetic flux density up to hundreds of mT around the conductor. However, the effect of high magnetic flux density on electrical tree in SiR has not been researched. In this paper, the magnetic flux density ranged from 0 to 400 mT. The electrodes were typical needle-plate electrodes. The frequency of the applied AC voltage was 50 Hz. The growth process of electrical tree was recorded by a microscope system and the pictures were taken. The experiment result indicated that the high magnetic flux density changes the tree structure and affects the growth of tree length and width.

Alkylidene indolenines generated in situ from substrates (I) undergo enantioselective Michael addition with 1,3-diketones.

For the first time the highly stereoselective title Michael addition reaction is presented.

The present first Michael addition provides an easy and convenient approach to C-3 alkyl-substituted indole derivatives with high enantioselectivities whereas diastereoselectivity depends on the cyano substrate.

In the title compound, C12H8N2O4Se, the Se atom is situated on a twofold rotational axis, so the asymmetric unit contains one half-mol-ecule. In the mol-ecule, the C-Se-C angle is 99.48 (13)°, the two benzene rings are inclined to each other at an angle of 63.8 (1)° and the nitro group is twisted by 15.9 (1)° from the attached benzene ring. In the crystal, mol-ecules are held together through weak C-H⋯O inter-actions, forming a three-dimensional network.
