As the composite pile, the precast concrete piles reinforced with cement-treated soil (PCCS) is formed by driving the precast cement (PC) pile into the deep mixing (DM) column, which has been successfully and widely utilized to support buildings and embankments over soft soil. To increase the pile spacing and give full play to the economic merits of the PCCS, a reinforcement scheme, which involves the combined use of rigid piles and flexible columns, employing penetrated PCCSs and floating DM columns is proposed and utilized for soft soil ground treatment. However, there is a lack of feasible method for consolidation behaviors of this combined composite foundation (CCF) reinforced with penetrated PCCSs and floating DM columns under flexible loads. This paper developed an analytical solution to predict the average consolidation degree of this CCF based on a cylinder consolidation model and double-layer ground consolidation theory. The excess pore pressure and average consolidation degree were calculated by considering the composite pile penetration into the cushion. The analytical method agrees well with results obtained by numerical analysis. Additionally, a parametric study was conducted systematically to analyze the effect of key influence factors on the average consolidation degree of this CCF. The results indicate that the consolidation rate of this CCF can be much faster than that of the natural ground. The consolidation rate strongly depends on the compressive modulus and area replacement ratio of PCCSs. The increasing inner core-outer core modulus ratio and the inner core-subsoil modulus ratio increase the consolidation rate of this CCF. Collision on reinforced concrete (RC) piers by moving vessels or vehicles is a significant issue. This paper presents the static and impact behavior of RC piers with different hollow ratios. Three specimens were statically tested to obtain the load-displacement response. Low-velocity collision on eleven RC piers was conducted under the same velocity of 2.42 m/s. The damage process, failure mode, and force response were comprehensively analyzed. The experimental results indicate that the hollow ratio plays a significant role in the failure mode and ultimate load of RC piers under static and impact loadings. For RC piers with a hollow ratio of 0 and 0.4, the global failure dominated the damage process. However, failure of piers with a hollow ratio of 0.6 was governed by the local damage near the loading point. The static load capacities of the RC piers with a hollow ratio of 0.4 and 0.6 were 1.27% and 60.5% smaller than that of the solid pier, respectively. RC piers with a higher hollow ratio or lighter drop weight suffer smaller peak impact force. The increase of the longitudinal reinforcements leads to a promotion of the peak and mean impact force. This paper presents the numerical analysis of prestressed reinforced concrete (PRC) beams strengthened with near-surface mounted (NSM) carbon fiber reinforced polymers (CFRP). ABAQUS finite element software was used to simulate the existing test beams to investigate the flexural behaviors of PRC beams strengthened with NSM CFRP strips. The finite element model of beams strengthened with NSM CFRP strips was established. The finite element calculation results were compared with the experimental results to verify the accuracy and effectiveness of the model. Based on this model, the influences of concrete strength grade and amount of CFRP strips on the flexural behaviors of directly strengthened beams and the cycle numbers and overload amplitude on the flexural behaviors of damaged strengthened beam were further analyzed, and the load-carrying capacity calculation formula of PRC beam strengthened with NSM CFRP strips was established. The results showed that the simulation results and the theoretical calculation were consistent with the test results. With the increase of concrete strength grade and amount of CFRP strips, the ultimate load of directly strengthened beams increased significantly, with a maximum increase of 21.3% and 23.0%, respectively. When the concrete strength grade exceeded C50, the improvement of the ultimate load was limited. When the overload amplitude was less than 60% of the ultimate load, the cycle numbers (within 500 times) had little effect on the yield load, ultimate load, and deformation. When the overload amplitude was higher than 60% of the ultimate load, the deformation increased, and the ultimate load decreased with the increase of the cycle numbers. In order to overcome the shortcomings in integrating the building information modeling (BIM) and seismic finite element technique for building structures, a new seismic analysis and damage evaluation method for reinforced concrete (RC) frame structures was proposed by integrating Revit and OpenSees, in which the information about geometric and material of the existing BIM model in Revit was extracted as part of the finite element analysis model of OpenSees; supplementary settings about the element type, material constitutive model, load information, and analysis type for finite element analysis were made according to the input format of OpenSees, and OpenSees program was directly called for numerical analysis in the Revit software which realized seismic analysis and damage evaluation of RC frame structures based on BIM. RTO, a revolutionary structural seismic analysis and damage evaluation tool based on the three-tier architecture theory, was created by combining Revit and OpenSees via the RevitAPI interface. The preprocessing module was created to contact OpenSees for finite element analysis, the postprocessing module was created to secondary analyze, display, and export the analysis data, and crucial structural seismic damage information was automatically saved in the Revit model. A calculation example of a five-story RC frame structure was provided to demonstrate the operation process of the proposed method and the developed program. The example proved the feasibility of integrating the BIM and finite element method in elastic-plastic structural seismic analysis. The objective of this study is to examine the performance of the shallow reinforced concrete foundation of a large-scale wind turbine under the influence of environmental loads. A 2 MW horizontal-axis onshore wind turbine supported by a shallow concrete foundation was considered. The foundation stresses, foundation settlements, and static and dynamic contact pressures at various positions of the shallow foundation were monitored from the construction phase to the operation phase in the field. Numerical simulations were also performed to further analyze the behavior of the wind turbine foundation in different cases. The results demonstrate that the responses of the reinforced concrete foundation, i.e., foundation stresses, contact pressures, and foundation settlements, were variables closely related to the wind direction and wind speed. The distribution of foundation stresses suggested that a reasonable design of steel reinforcement cages around the foundation steel ring is important. The dynamic contact pressure of the foundation could reach 5 kPa, so the influence of dynamic wind loads on the foundation response could not be always neglected, particularly for the foundations seated on weak soils. The foundation settlement during the operation phase could be characterized by the logistic model, but its distribution was uneven due to the presence of eccentric upper weight and wind load.
