Abstract

The article presents the discussion on major tectonic event occurred since the late Cretaceous. Topics include assumptions determining the timing from the river profile forms being summarized in the original paper and again in Gabet's comment; and rock uplifted during the pulse being rapidly incised for bringing the river elevation, steepness, and erosion ratign back to the pre-tilt equilibrium condition.
