The article presents a detailed description of the American Sociological Society along with information on its annual meeting to be held in September 1951 in the U.S. Article II of the society's constitution states that the objective of the society is to stimulate and improve research and encourage cooperative relations among people associated with the scientific study of the society. Article III states that any person interested in the society's objective is eligible for membership. According to Article VIII, the society can solicit and receive funds and endowments. Several papers will be presented at the society's annual meeting. Some of them include a paper on "Demography and Human Ecology," another on "Sociology of Religion," and another on "Sampling and Social Structure."
