An improved microwave gaseous absorption scheme based on statistical regression is proposed in this study. In the new scheme, Monochromatic Radiative Transfer Model (MonoRTM) replaces the Millimeter‐wave Propagation Model (MPM) to train the new scheme and the effect of real Spectral Response Functions is included in the training process. After the replacement, results of the new scheme are closer to observations from Advanced Technology Microwave Sounder (ATMS) onboard Suomi National Polar‐orbiting Partnership satellite in low level channels while MPM has some advantages in upper level channels. Introducing ozone absorption can cause a systematic bias but results in small standard deviations in channels with frequency 183 ± 1.8 GHz and 183 ± 1 GHz. In addition, the new scheme updates the vertical interpolation of water vapor and optimizes the vertical distribution of Planck function. These updates can reduce biases caused by vertical interpolation, especially for water vapor absorption channels. The bias associated to vertical interpolation can reach 0.25 K whereas the new scheme can decrease it to 0.003 K. To further validate the accuracy of the new scheme, we apply the new scheme to Advanced Radiative transfer Modeling System and compare simulated results to RTTOV 13.2 under 37 and 137 level (L) atmosphere (atm). Observations from ATMS onboard NOAA‐20 are used as true values. Results show that the new scheme agrees with RTTOV 13.2 well in accuracy and performs even better in upper level channels and water vapor absorption channels. Plain Language Summary: Fast radiative transfer (RT) models play a crucial role in satellite data assimilation as well as remote sensing. Gaseous absorption calculation is a fundamental aspect of fast RT models. With the capability of new‐generation spaceborne microwave instruments to observe spectra beyond 200 GHz, Monochromatic Radiative Transfer Model (MonoRTM) is utilized to train the microwave gaseous absorption scheme. The absorption of oxygen, ozone, water vapor and nitrogen is considered. In addition, the mismatch of vertical coordinates between fast RT models and input profiles requires fast RT models to do vertical interpolation during simulations. Vertical interpolation may introduce notable biases in microwave water vapor absorption channels. In this study, we enhance the vertical interpolation of water vapor and optimize the vertical distribution of the Planck function to mitigate these biases. In recent years, with a large number of distributed energy sources connected to the grid, the distribution network has shown a clear trend towards the use of power electronics. As a power conversion interface, the stability of the converter's interaction with the grid has received considerable attention. Adequate admittance (impedance) modeling of the three‐phase grid‐connected converter is a prerequisite for analyzing the stability and resonance characteristics of the grid‐connected system. Understanding the internal mechanisms and proposing effective solutions are crucial to enable power systems to effectively cope with the impact of power electronics. Therefore, by studying the admittance equivalence relationship and equivalent circuit of three‐phase AC systems in various coordinate systems, this paper focuses on solving the non‐uniqueness problem of impedance admittance modeling of three‐phase converter system. It is proposed that the input admittance of the three‐phase asymmetrical system in the dq and fb rotating coordinate systems is a 2‐order matrix and equivalent. The input admittance of the three‐phase unbalanced system in the αβ and “12” static coordinate systems is a 4‐order matrix and equivalent. From both theoretical analysis and simulation verification, it is shown that the number of eigenvalues of the three‐phase asymmetrical system in the stationary coordinate system is twice that in the rotating coordinate system, and the overall damping of the system is improved. The control strategy based on the stationary coordinate system will make the system more stable. The second contribution of this paper is to establish the equivalent circuit of the three‐phase symmetric converter system by the node admittance matrix and extend it to the multi‐machine system to explain the system instability mechanism by the circuit resonance mechanism. Finally, the frequency coupling phenomenon is studied for the three‐phase asymmetrical converter system, and it is explained that it cannot establish an equivalent circuit similar to the three‐phase symmetrical converter system. The application of virtual synchronous generators (VSGs) in power systems is gradually increasing to address the low inertia issue caused by the high penetration of renewable energy sources. Besides, the stability of microgrids (MGs) is threatened by constant power loads (CPLs) consisting of power electronic converters with closed‐loop controllers. To investigate the stability of the MG composed of VSG and CPL, this paper analyzes the operational principles of VSG and CPL, revealing that only the bipolar switch logic function is suitable for establishing a closed‐loop model if the output of the inner‐loop controller is considered as the duty cycle of the PWM signal. Furthermore, the closed‐loop impedance models of VSG and CPL were established in the dq frame. Impedance‐based analysis results show that the MG is prone to oscillation in the mid‐band. Therefore, the active power loop parameters of the VSG have a small impact on the stability of the MG, while the LC filter and inner loop controllers have a greater impact on the stability. Based on the oscillation mechanism and passivity theory, the impedance reshaping strategy for VSG and CPL is proposed. As one of the most effective measures to prevent seasonal influenza viruses, annual influenza vaccination is globally recommended. Nevertheless, evidence regarding the impact of repeated vaccination to contemporary and future influenza has been inconclusive. A total of 100 subjects singly or repeatedly immunized with influenza vaccines including 3C.2a1 or 3C.3a1 A(H3N2) during 2018–2019 and 2019–2020 influenza season were recruited. We investigated neutralization antibody by microneutralization assay using four antigenically distinct A(H3N2) viruses circulating from 2018 to 2023, and tracked the dynamics of B cell receptor (BCR) repertoire for consecutive vaccinations. We found that vaccination elicited cross‐reactive antibody responses against future emerging strains. Broader neutralizing antibodies to A(H3N2) viruses and more diverse BCR repertoires were observed in the repeated vaccination. Meanwhile, a higher frequency of BCR sequences shared among the repeated‐vaccinated individuals with consistently boosting antibody response was found than those with a reduced antibody response. Our findings suggest that repeated seasonal vaccination could broaden the breadth of antibody responses, which may improve vaccine protection against future emerging viruses. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

High ambipolar mobility emissive conjugated polymers (HAME‐CPs) are perfect candidates for organic optoelectronic devices, such as polymer light emitting transistors. However, due to intrinsic trade‐off relationship between high ambipolar mobility and strong solid‐state luminescence, the development of HAME‐CPs suffers from high structural and synthetic complexity. Herein, a universal design principle and simple synthetic approach for HAME‐CPs are developed. A series of simple non‐fused polymers composed of charge transfer units, π bridges and emissive units are synthesized via a two‐step microwave assisted C−H arylation and direct arylation polymerization protocol with high total yields up to 61 %. The synthetic protocol is verified valid among 7 monomers and 8 polymers. Most importantly, all 8 conjugated polymers have strong solid‐state emission with high photoluminescence quantum yields up to 24 %. Furthermore, 4 polymers exhibit high ambipolar field effect mobility up to 10−2 cm2 V−1 s−1, and can be used in multifunctional optoelectronic devices. Summary: The large integration of distributed generation (DG) and electric vehicles (EVs) facilitates daily life and reduces carbon emissions. However, it brings problems such as increased uncertainty and power electronic permeability to the distribution network. In this context, it is important to solve the line loss optimization problem as closely as possible to the real situation. Therefore, this paper solves the line loss optimization problem based on a probabilistic model of three‐phase unbalanced modern power electrical distribution network. Firstly, the paper proposes a frequency domain model of the distribution network and the optimization problem model. Then, to deal with the uncertainty of the system, the point estimation method (PEM) and Monte Carlo Simulation (MCS) are used. Finally, this paper proposes two optimization schemes considering the power quality when single and multiple DGs are integrated. The simulation results demonstrate that the PEM using the Gram–Charlier series expansion of the fourth‐order statistical moments to estimate the probability density function (PDF) is significantly less time consuming than the traditional MCS method while maintaining accuracy. The comparative analysis reveals that under the optimization scheme with single DG integration, the expected value of system line loss and expected line loss rate are reduced from 283.95 kW to 218.96 kW (22.89% reduction) and from 13.44% to 10.68%, respectively. Under the dual DG integrated optimization scheme, the expected value of line losses and expected line loss rate are reduced from 283.95 kW to 208.88 kW (26.4% reduction) and from 13.44% to 10.25%, respectively. However, after taking the uncertainty into account, the operational reliability of the system has been enhanced under different scenarios. In addition, it is found that the optimization approach incorporating multiple DG units can effectively mitigate the system line loss under diverse operational scenarios while enhancing the system's DG integration capability. Near ultraviolet (NUV) organic light‐emitting diodes (OLEDs) have great advantages in the field of light excitation sources, chemical and biological sensors, etc. However, the molecular design of NUV emitters still faces the challenges of spectral broadening and red‐shift. In this study, attaching weak oxygen‐bridged triarylboron acceptor to weak carbazolyl donor is able to address intractable problems by weakening donor–acceptor (D–A) charge transfer. Simultaneously, sterically wrapped and modified oxygen‐bridged triarylboron acceptor by bulk substituents (multiple carbazolyl) can suppress intermolecular π–π stacking through steric hindrance effect. These design strategies are able to obtain short‐wavelength, narrow‐band emission, and great color purity. As a result, carbazolyl derivatives xCz‐BO‐based (x = 2, 3, 4, 5) emitters show EL emission peaks from 406 to 422 nm in the NUV light region and small full‐width at half‐maximums (FWHMs) of 32–41 nm over a wide range of dopant concentrations (10–40 wt.%). The most violet Commission International de I'Eclairage (CIE) color coordinate is (0.16, 0.03). Moreover, 5Cz‐BO can be employed as host for vacuum‐/solution‐processed blue OLEDs and these devices exhibit high performance with EQEs of over 20%. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Clear species boundaries are crucial for plans and actions on biodiversity conservation. However, morphological similarities among allied species can result in taxonomic difficulties, thus impeding conservation efforts. In China, Cinnamomum japonicumSiebold is a well‐known endangered plant, yet suffers from longstanding taxonomic issues. Here, we explicitly evaluate whether C. japonicum, C. chenii, and C. chekiangense are the same phylogenetic species on the basis of a multi‐individual sampling strategy. We identified three sets of low‐copy orthologous genes from 19 Lauraceae taxa for phylogenetic inferences. Both the concatenation and coalescent‐based phylogenies supported that C. chenii individuals were embedded in the C. japonicum clade, indicating these two taxa are conspecific. Meanwhile, C. chekiangense accessions formed a monophyly which was not sister to C. japonicum. This result, together with the morphological differences that the leaves of C. japonicum are glabrous with a faveolate pattern of venation while those of C. chekiangense have trichomes and inevident lateral veins, led us to consider both as two distinct species. Based on 17 728 neutral single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs), the ADMIXTURE analysis suggested that the Chinese C. japonicum populations in Zhoushan Archipelago (=C. chenii) were genetically differentiated from the Japanese and Korean ones. Furthermore, ecological niche modeling predicted that the present distribution area of Chinese C. japonicum is likely to be unsuitable under global warming scenarios. A series of thienoisoindigo (TIG)‐based conjugated polymers (CPs) with high molecular weights are synthesized by direct arylation polycondensation (DArP) by using TIG derivatives as CBr monomer and multi‐halogenated thiophene derivatives, i.e., (E)–1,2‐bis(3,4‐difluorothien‐2‐yl)ethene (4FTVT), (E)–1,2‐bis(3,4‐dichlorothien‐2‐yl)ethene (4ClTVT), 3,3',4,4'‐tetrafluoro‐2,2'‐bithiophene (4FBT), and 3,3',4,4'‐tetrachloro‐2,2'‐bithiophene (4ClBT), as CH monomers. Density functional theory (DFT) calculations reveal the high selectivity between α‐CH bonds in 4FTVT, 4ClTVT, 4FBT, and 4ClBT and β‐CH bonds in TIG CBr monomer. All four resulting CPs exhibit low optical bandgaps of ca. 1.20 eV and ambipolar transport characteristics with both electron and hole mobility above 0.1 cm2 V−1 s−1 as elaborated with organic thin‐film transistors (OTFTs). The polymer TIG‐4FTVT delivers the best device performance. With this polymer, n‐channel OTFTs with electron mobility up to 1.67 cm2 V−1 s−1 and p‐channel OTFTs with hole mobility up to 0.62 cm2 V−1 s−1 are fabricated by modifying source/drain electrodes with polyethylenimine ethoxylated (PEIE) and MoO3, respectively, to selectively inject electrons and holes. The Stille cross‐coupling reaction is one of the most common strategies for the construction of C−C bonds. Despite notable strides in the advancement of the Stille reaction, persistent challenges persist in hindering its greener evolution. These challenges encompass multiple facets, such as the high cost of precious metals and ligands, the demand for various additives, and the slow reaction rate. In comparison to the dominant palladium‐catalysed Stille reactions, cost‐effective nickel‐catalysed systems lag behind, and enantioconvergent Stille reactions of racemic stannanes remain undeveloped. Herein, we present a pioneering instance of nickel‐catalysed enantioconvergent Stille cross‐coupling reactions of racemic stannane reagents, resulting in the formation of C−C bonds in good to high yields with excellent stereoselectivity. This strategy provides a practical, scalable, and operationally straightforward method for the synthesis of C(sp3)−C(sp3), C(sp3)−C(sp2), and C(sp3)−C(sp) bonds under exceptionally mild conditions (without additives and bases, ambient temperature). The innovative use of synergistic photoredox/nickel catalysis enables a novel single‐electron transmetalation process of stannane reagents, providing a new research paradigm of Stille reactions. 3,4‐Difluorothiophene‐substituted aryls, i.e., 1,4‐bis(3,4‐difluorothiophen‐2‐yl)‐benzene (Ph‐2FTh), 1,4‐bis(3,4‐difluorothiophen‐2‐yl)‐2,5‐difluorobenzene (2FPh‐2FTh), and 4,7‐bis(3,4‐difluorothiophen‐2‐yl)‐2,1,3‐benzothiadiazole (BTz‐2FTh), are synthesized as C─H monomers for the synthesis of conjugated polymers (CPs) via direct arylation polycondensation (DArP) with diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP) and isoindigo (IID) derivatives as C─Br monomers. The Gibbs free energies of activation for direct arylation (ΔG298 K, kcal mol−1) for α─C─H bonds of thiophene moieties as calculated by density functional theory (DFT) are 14.3, 16.5, and 16.4 kcal mol−1 for Ph‐2FTh, 2FPh‐2FTh and BTz‐2FTh, respectively, meaning that inserting an electron‐deficient unit in 3,3′,4,4′‐tetrafluoro‐2,2′‐bithiophene (4FBT, ΔG298K: 14.6 kcal mol−1) may cause a reactivity decrease of the C─H monomers. Photophysical and semiconducting properties of the resulting six CPs (i.e., DPP‐Ph, DPP‐2FPh, DPP‐BTz, 2FIID‐Ph, 2FIID‐2FPh, and 2FIID‐BTz) are characterized in detail. DPP‐based CPs show ambipolar transport properties while IID‐based ones exhibited n‐type behavior owing to the deeper frontier molecular orbital energy levels of IID‐based CPs. With source/drain electrodes modified with polyethylenimine ethoxylated, n‐channel organic thin‐film transistors with maximum electron mobility of 0.40, 0.54, 0.29, 0.05, 0.16, and 0.01 cm2 V−1 s−1 for DPP‐Ph, DPP‐2FPh, DPP‐BTz, 2FIID‐Ph, 2FIID‐2FPh, and 2FIID‐BTz, respectively, are fabricated. Purpose: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of 1565‐nm nonablative fractional laser (NAFL) combined with mucopolysaccharide polysulfate (MPS) cream in the treatment of erythematous acne scars. Methods: A total of 28 subjects with erythematous acne scars from June 2021 to April 2022 were enrolled. One side of each subject's face was randomly assigned to be treated with 1565‐nm NAFL (at 2 sessions with four‐week intervals) combined with MPS cream (twice daily) for 8 weeks, and the other side with 1565‐nm NAFL combined with placebo cream. CBS® images and parameters, dermoscopic images and the quantitative data processed by ImageJ software, and quantitative global scarring grading system (GSS) score were obtained at baseline and after treatment. Subjects' satisfaction assessment was performed after treatment. Adverse events were recorded during treatment. Results: In CBS® parameters, the red area, red area concentration, and smoothness were improved more significantly on the 1565‐nm NAFL combined with MPS cream side than on the 1565‐nm NAFL combined with placebo cream side after treatment (p = 0.015, p = 0.013, and p = 0.021). For dermoscopy, both scar area and scar redness achieved a significantly greater percentage of improvement on the side of 1565‐nm NAFL combined with MPS cream than the side of 1565‐nm NAFL combined with placebo cream after treatment (p = 0.005 and p = 0.041). The reduction of quantitative GSS score and Subjects' satisfaction assessment were similarly superior on the 1565‐nm NAFL combined with MPS cream side. Temporary erythema was experienced by all subjects after each 1565‐nm NAFL treatment. No subject reported intolerance or allergy to the cream during follow‐up. Conclusions: The combined application of 1565‐nm NAFL and MPS cream could be an effective and safe treatment for erythematous acne scars. Non‐invasive optical examination plays a crucial role in various aspects of dermatology, such as diagnosis, management and research. Multiphoton microscopy uses a unique submicron technology to stimulate autofluorescence (AF), allowing for the observation of cellular structure, assessment of redox status and quantification of collagen fibres. This advanced imaging technique offers dermatologists novel insights into the skin's structure, positioning it as a promising 'stethoscope' for future development in the field. This review provides an overview of multiphoton microscopy's principles, technology and application in studying normal skin, tumour and inflammatory diseases, as well as collagen‐related and pigmentary diseases. Two‐dimensional metal‐organic frameworks (2D MOFs) with more exposed active sites and stable structures are auspicious electrode materials for high‐performance lithium‐ion batteries (LIBs). In the current work, ultrasonic treatment was used to prepare two‐dimensional CoNi‐BDC ultrathin nanosheets (N‐CoNi‐BDC) by coordinating Ni2+, Co2+, and benzenedicarboxylic acid (BDC). The N‐CoNi‐BDC was used as the anode of LIBs, demonstrating an exceptional reversible storage capacity of 1358 mAh g−1 after 200 cycles at 0.1 A g−1. In addition, a charging capacity of 757 mAh g−1 was observed at a high current density of 1 A g−1 without observable capacity degradation up to 300 cycles. The superior behavior of N‐CoNi‐BDC was attributed to its distinct morphology of ultrathin nanosheets with more exposed active sites and stable structures. Ex‐situ FTIR and XPS results revealed that the benzene ring, carboxylate, and Ni2+ in N‐CoNi‐BDC were the active parts of lithium‐ion storage. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Endometrial cancer (EC) is a common gynaecological malignant tumour with unclear pathogenesis. Small nucleolar RNA (snoRNA) is involved in many biological processes, including those of cancers. Using the Cancer Genome Atlas (TCGA) database, the expression pattern of a snoRNA, SNORA73B, was analysed. The biological functions of SNORA73B were assessed by in vitro proliferation, apoptosis, migration, and invasion assays and in vivo by the xenograft model. RNA sequencing (RNA‐seq) and RNA immunoprecipitation assays were performed to determine the relationship between SNORA73B and its target genes. High‐performance liquid chromatography (HPLC) was performed to detect the pseudouridine content of the mindbomb E3 ubiquitin protein ligase 1 gene (MIB1). The stability of MIB1 mRNA was evaluated using a transcription inhibitor, actinomycin D. By performing co‐immunoprecipitation assays, the change in the ubiquitin levels of the Jagged canonical Notch ligand 1 (Jag 1), caused by SNORA73B and MIB1, was identified. RNA‐seq and qRT‐PCR were performed to detect the alternative splicing of the regulator of the chromosome condensation 1 gene (RCC1). The TCGA database analysis showed that SNORA73B was highly expressed in EC. SNORA73B promoted cell proliferation, migration, and invasion and inhibited apoptosis. SNORA73B modified the pseudouridine content in MIB1 and increased the stability of MIB1 mRNA and protein; thus, it affected Jag 1 ubiquitination and further activated the Notch pathway. SNORA73B also affected the alternative splicing of RCC1, increasing the number of transcripts, RCC1‐T2 and RCC1‐T3, which promoted cell proliferation, migration, and invasion. Ionic circuits using ions as charge carriers have demonstrated great potential for flexible and bioinspired electronics. The emerging ionic thermoelectric (iTE) materials can generate a potential difference by virtue of selective thermal diffusion of ions, which provide a new route for thermal sensing with the merits of high flexibility, low cost, and high thermopower. Here, ultrasensitive flexible thermal sensor arrays based on an iTE hydrogel consisting of polyquaternium‐10 (PQ‐10), a cellulose derivative, as the polymer matrix and sodium hydroxide (NaOH) as the ion source are reported. The developed PQ‐10/NaOH iTE hydrogel achieves a thermopower of 24.17 mV K−1, which is among the highest values reported for biopolymer‐based iTE materials. The high p‐type thermopower can be attributed to thermodiffusion of Na+ ions under a temperature gradient, while the movement of OH− ions is impeded by the strong electrostatic interaction with the positively charged quaternary amine groups of PQ‐10. Flexible thermal sensor arrays are developed through patterning the PQ‐10/NaOH iTE hydrogel on flexible printed circuit boards, which can perceive spatial thermal signals with high sensitivity. A smart glove integrated with multiple thermal sensor arrays is further demonstrated, which endows a prosthetic hand with thermal sensation for human–machine interaction. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The observation‐minus‐background (O − B) bias characteristics are compared for the Long‐Wave InfraRed (LWIR) channels of the Geostationary Interferometric Infrared Sounder (GIIRS) on board Fengyun‐4A (FY‐4A) and Fengyun‐4B (FY‐4B) satellites under clear‐sky and all‐sky conditions. Under the clear‐sky condition, the data quality of the FY‐4B/GIIRS is better than that of the FY‐4A/GIIRS. Specifically, the standard deviations (<1 K) of the O − B values for FY‐4B/GIIRS LWIR channels are smaller than those (>1 K) of the FY‐4A/GIIRS, especially in carbon dioxide (CO2) and ozone (O3) absorption bands. The diurnal variations of the mean O − B biases for the O3 band of the FY‐4B/GIIRS are less than those of FY‐4A/GIIRS. To our surprise, the diurnal variations of O − B biases for the FY‐4B/GIIRS and FY‐4A/GIIRS channels show an obvious antiphase characteristic in the CO2 band, which could be caused by diurnal environmental field variations from the different geostationary (GEO) platforms. In addition, the FY‐4B/GIIRS channel 7 (703.75 cm−1) has smaller pixel‐dependent biases than those of FY‐4A/GIIRS. Under the all‐sky condition, the observation and cloudy simulation (Bcloudy$$ {\mathrm{B}}_{\mathrm{cloudy}} $$) for channels 7 (703.75 cm−1), 36 (721.875 cm−1), and 320 (900 cm−1) of the FY‐4B/GIIRS are more consistent than those of FY‐4A/GIIRS with smaller root‐mean‐square errors (RMSEs), which also indicates a better observation quality in the cloudy area. n‐Type conjugated polymers (CPs) are crucial in the applications of organic electronics. Direct coupling of electron‐deficient C−H monomer via selective C−H activation, namely C−H/C−H oxidative direct arylation polycondensation (Oxi‐DArP), is an ideal approach toward such CPs. Herein, Oxi‐DArP is firstly adopted to synthesize a high‐performance n‐type CP using a newly developed monomer, i.e. 3,6‐di(thiazol‐5‐yl)‐diketopyrrolopyrrole (Tz‐5‐DPP). Tz‐5‐DPP based homopolymer PTz‐5‐DPP with a molecular weight of 22 kDa has been synthesized via Oxi‐DArP. After n‐doping, PTz‐5‐DPP films exhibited electric conductivity values up to 8 S cm−1 and power factors (PFs) up to 106 μW m−1 K−2. Notably, this PF value is the highest for n‐type polymer thermoelectric materials to date. The Oxi‐DArP synthesis and the excellent n‐type performance of the polymer make this work an important step toward the straightforward and sustainable preparation of high‐performance n‐type polymer semiconductors. Background: Noninvasive skin examination evolved rapidly in recent years, with multiphoton microscopy (MPM) and reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM) being used to image in‐vivo skin at high resolution. The aim of this study is to compare the imaging clarity between the two techniques and measure the thickness of the epidermis in different body sites. We also measured the degree of skin aging with noninvasive tools. Methods: Fifty‐six volunteers were evaluated and measured at three different body sites, including the cheek, volar forearm, and back. We used RCM and MPM to evaluate the clarity of each skin layer, including stratum corneum, stratum granulosum, stratum spinosum, dermo‐epidermal junction, and dermis. We measured epidermal thickness (ET) at the three body sites in individuals of different ages and genders. We assessed skin aging by the second harmonic to autofluorescence aging index of dermis (SAAID), and multiple linear regression was used to analyze the factors affecting SAAID. Results: MPM had advantages in observation of stratum granulosum, collagen fiber, and elastic fiber (p < 0.001), but RCM provided better observation in dermo‐epidermal junction layer (p < 0.001). The epidermis was thicker in the cheek area than the volar forearm and back in both RCM and MPM detection, and the average ET measured by MPM was lower than RCM. ET varied among the three body sites with significant differences (p < 0.05). ET was significantly lower at almost all sites in individuals above 40y (p < 0.05). SAAID decreased with age, and more rapidly in women. Cheeks have lower SAAID scores than other body sites. Conclusion: MPM and RCM provide noninvasive methods for imaging skin and each method has its own advantages. Epidermal thickness and SAAID correlated with age, gender, and different body sites. Objective: The authors aimed to identify factors associated with long‐acting reversible contraception (LARC) usage. Methods: The current cross‐sectional study used data from the National Survey of Family Growth from 2011 to 2019. Respondents aged 15 to 44 years were included. Those with previous sterilization, infertility, or pregnant were excluded. The outcome evaluated was use of a LARC. Results: Of 61 543 814 women, 44 287 911 (72.0%) met inclusion criteria. The rate of LARC use was 13.4%. Factors associated with an increased likelihood of LARC usage were married/living with a partner (adjusted relative risk [aRR], 1.18 [95% CI, 1.02–1.37]), perceived good health (aRR, 1.44 [95% CI, 1.13–1.84]), year of survey 2017 to 2019 (aRR, 1.53, [95% CI, 1.28–1.83]), one or two past pregnancies (aRR, 1.62 [95% CI, 1.24–2.12]) or three or more past pregnancies (aRR, 1.67 [95% CI, 1.22–2.28]), age at first live birth <20 years (aRR, 1.58 [95% CI, 1.20–2.08]) or 20 to 24 years (aRR, 1.45 [95% CI, 1.13–1.87]), age at onset of sexual activity 13–19 years (aRR, 1.50 [95% CI, 1.26–1.78]), and a 0‐ to 5‐month period of nonintercourse in the past year (aRR, 1.63 [95% CI, 1.40–1.90]). Factors associated with decreased LARC usage were age ≥ 35 years (aRR, 0.74 [95% CI, 0.65–0.85]), being non‐Hispanic Black (aRR, 0.75 [95% CI, 0.62–0.89]) or non‐Hispanic other (aRR, 0.72 [95% CI, 0.59–0.88]), intending to have children (aRR, 0.65 [95% CI, 0.57–0.74]), and never being sexually active (aRR, 0.10 [95% CI, 0.06–0.16]). There has been a growing interest in incorporating auxiliary summary information from external studies into the analysis of internal individual‐level data. In this paper, we propose an adaptive estimation procedure for an additive risk model to integrate auxiliary subgroup survival information via a penalized method of moments technique. Our approach can accommodate information from heterogeneous data. Parameters to quantify the magnitude of potential incomparability between internal data and external auxiliary information are introduced in our framework while nonzero components of these parameters suggest a violation of the homogeneity assumption. We further develop an efficient computational algorithm to solve the numerical optimization problem by profiling out the nuisance parameters. In an asymptotic sense, our method can be as efficient as if all the incomparable auxiliary information is accurately acknowledged and has been automatically excluded from consideration. The asymptotic normality of the proposed estimator of the regression coefficients is established, with an explicit formula for the asymptotic variance‐covariance matrix that can be consistently estimated from the data. Simulation studies show that the proposed method yields a substantial gain in statistical efficiency over the conventional method using the internal data only, and reduces estimation biases when the given auxiliary survival information is incomparable. LDHs (Layered double hydroxides) has broad application prospects as adsorbent. Herein, a facile bio‐template route was developed using pine pollens to fabricate a novel 3D hierarchical MgFe2O4@MgAl‐LDHs adsorbent for rapid removal of organic pollutant from water. The agglomeration of the LDH sheets was prevented and evenly distributed over the surface of MgFe2O4 which resulting in large surface area (108.660 m2 g−1). The adsorption and regeneration of the adsorbent were examined. The as‐prepared MgFe2O4@MgAl‐LDHs exhibited excellent adsorption capacity (191.20 mg g−1) for Congo Red and still remained 81.61 % (156.03 mg g−1) of the first time after regenerated 3 times with methanol. Additionally, it could be conveniently recycled via an external magnetic field. Importance: The safety and efficacy of the bath‐plug technique for the closure of cerebrospinal fluid (CSF) leaks in children remain unknown. Objective: We undertook this study to ascertain whether the bath‐plug technique was safe and effective for the repair of CSF leaks. Methods: We retrospectively reviewed patients who underwent endoscopic repair of CSF leaks with the fat graft as a plug‐in at Beijing Children's Hospital from March 2016 to May 2020. Demographic data, medical history, defect sites and sizes, interventions, and clinical outcomes were analyzed. One representative clinical case was additionally selected to highlight the procedure and the healing process. Results: A total of 18 pediatric patients were included in this study. The group was composed of 11 boys and seven girls, aged from 5 to 123 months. The etiologies included congenital CSF leaks (n = 9) and head trauma (n = 9). Among all patients, 12 fistulas (66.7%) were located at the cribriform plate area, two (11.1%) at the roof of the ethmoid sinuses, two (11.1%) in the sphenoid sinus, and two (11.1%) at the frontal sinus. The maximum diameters of fistulas ranged from 5 to 20 mm, with a median value of 8 mm. Encephaloceles were identified in 14 (77.8%) patients. No hydrocephalus was recognized. All CSF leaks were successfully repaired with a bath‐plug technique. Follow‐up ranged from 50 to 70 months. No surgical complications were encountered in any patient. Interpretation: Bath‐plug technique is safe and reliable for the endoscopic management of CSF leaks in children. Meticulous peri‐operative preparations are important for pediatric patients. Background: Better understanding of the factors associated with formula feeding during the hospital stay can help in identifying potential lactation problems and promote early intervention. Our aim was to ascertain factors associated with exclusive formula feeding in newborns of low‐risk pregnancies. Methods: A population‐based, retrospective study using the United States vital statistics datasets (2014‐2018) evaluating low‐risk pregnancies with a nonanomalous singleton delivery from 37 to 41 weeks. People with hypertensive disorders, or diabetes, were excluded. Primary outcome was newborn feeding (breast vs exclusive formula feeding) during hospital stay. Adjusted relative risks (aRRs) with 95% confidence intervals (CI) were calculated. Results: Of the 19 623 195 live births during the study period, 11 605 242 (59.1%) met inclusion criteria and among them, 1 929 526 (16.6%) were formula fed. Factors associated with formula feeding included: age < 20 years (aRR 1.31 [95% CI 1.31‐1.32]), non‐Hispanic Black (1.42, 1.41‐1.42), high school education (1.69, 1.69‐1.70) or less than high school education (1.94, 1.93, 1.95), Medicaid insurance (1.52, 1.51, 1.52), body mass index (BMI) < 18.5 (1.10, 1.09‐1.10), BMI 25‐29.9 (1.09, 1.09‐1.09), BMI 30‐34.9 (1.19, 1.19‐1.20), BMI 35‐39.9 (1.31, 1.30‐1.31), BMI ≥ 40 (1.43, 1.42‐1.44), multiparity (1.29, 1.29‐1.30), lack of prenatal care (1.49, 1.48‐1.50), smoking (1.75, 1.74‐1.75), and gestational age (ranged from 37 weeks [1.44, 1.43‐1.45] to 40 weeks [1.11, 1.11‐1.12]). Conclusions: Using a large cohort of low‐risk pregnancies, we identified several modifiable factors associated with newborn feeding (eg, prepregnancy BMI, access to prenatal care, and smoking cessation). Objective: To investigate maternal and neonatal adverse outcomes among low‐risk pregnancies delivered at 37 weeks or more by repeat cesarean deliveries (CD). Methods: A population‐based, retrospective study using the US vital statistics data sets (2014–2018) evaluating low‐risk pregnancies with a non‐anomalous singleton non‐laboring repeat CD from 37 to 41 weeks of pregnancy. Women with hypertensive disorders or diabetes were excluded. Primary outcome was composite maternal adverse outcome (CMAO). Secondary outcome was composite neonatal adverse outcome (CNAO). Multivariable Poisson regression models were used to estimate the association between number of repeat CD and outcomes (using adjusted relative risks [aRR] and 95% confidence interval [CI]). Results: Of the 19 623 195 live births, 1 747 610 (8.9%) met the inclusion criteria and among them, 1 144 186 (65.5%) were to women who had one prior CD, 454 817 (26.0%) had two prior CD, 119 087 (6.8%) had three prior CD, and 29 520 (1.7%) had four or more prior CD. Compared with individuals with one prior CD, the risk of CMAO was higher in individuals with two (aRR 1.41, 95% CI 1.34–1.48), three (aRR 1.96, 95% CI 1.83–2.10), and four or more (aRR 2.98, 95% CI 2.69–3.29) prior CD. An increased risk of CNAO was also found with an increasing number of repeat CD. Conclusion: Among women with low‐risk pregnancies undergoing repeat CD, increasing number of prior CD was associated with a higher risk of adverse outcomes. Accurate species delimitation is the key to precise estimation of species diversity and is fundamental to most branches of biology. Unclear species boundaries within species complexes could lead to the underestimation of species diversity. However, species delimitation of species complexes remains challenging due to the continuum of phenotypic variations. To robustly examine species boundaries within a species complex, integrative approaches in phylogeny, ecology, and morphology were applied to the Stewartia sinensis complex (Theaceae) endemic to China. Multispecies coalescent‐based species delimitation using 572 nuclear ortholog sequences (anchored enrichment) supported reciprocal phylogenetic monophyly of the northern lineage (NL) and southern lineage (SL), which were not sister clades. Niche equivalency and similarity tests demonstrated significant climatic niche differentiation between NL and SL with observed Warren et al.'s I = 0.0073 and Schoener's D = 0.0021. Species distribution modeling also separated their potential distribution. Morphometric analyses suggested significant interlineage differentiation of multiple traits including the ratio of length and width, leaf width, and pedicel length, although overall similarity did not differ. Based on the integrative species concept, two distinct species were proposed with legitimate names of Stewartia gemmata for SL and S. sinensis for NL. Our empirical study of the S. sinensis complex highlights the importance of applying multiple species criteria, in particular the underappreciated niche differentiation, to species delimitation in species complexes pervasive in plants. Comprehensive Summary: Chlorinated conjugated polymers are rarely reported in ambipolar and n‐type organic thin‐film transistors (OTFTs), mainly due to the lack of chlorinated strong electron‐deficient building blocks. Herein, we report three new chlorine (Cl)‐ and cyano (CN)‐ substituted (E)‐1,2‐di(thiophen‐2‐yl)ethane building blocks and their copolymers P2Cl1CNTVT‐DPP, P4Cl1CNTVT‐DPP and P2Cl2CNTVT‐DPP. P2Cl1CNTVT‐DPP and P2Cl2CNTVT‐DPP had nearly planar backbone geometries, mixture of edge‐on and face‐on orientation and deeper energy levels, while P4Cl1CNTVT‐DPP had a twist backbone geometry, face‐on orientation and shallower energy levels. As a result, P2Cl1CNTVT‐DPP exhibited ambipolar characteristic with hole mobility (μh) of 0.70 cm2·V–1·s–1 and electron mobility (μe) of 0.84 cm2·V–1·s–1 and P2Cl2CNTVT‐DPP exhibited n‐type characteristic with μe of 0.64 cm2·V–1·s–1, while P4Cl1CNTVT‐DPP exhibited the lowest μe of 0.36 cm2·V–1·s–1. The devices based on P2Cl2CNTVT‐DPP exhibited good stability after being stored for 10 d in air. With high‐temperature solid‐state reaction method, a series of Lu2Sr(1−x)Al4SiO12:xEu2+ phosphors have been synthesized. With Rietveld refinement method, the crystal structure of Lu2SrAl4SiO12 has been refined. Under the excitation of the ultraviolet and violet band light, Lu2Sr(1−x)Al4SiO12:xEu2+ emits the Eu2+ characteristic blue broadband light. The photoluminescence properties of concentration quenching, emission peak shift, reflectance spectra, and luminescence decay have been investigated. With the structure analyses, the corresponding physical mechanisms have been discussed. With the increased temperature, this phosphor shows well thermal stabilities. For the xEu = 0.06, 0.08, and 0.1 phosphors, the strong anti‐thermal quenching performance has been observed. The reason for the anti‐thermal quenching of this phosphor has been discussed. The trap capture mechanism may be the suitable physical mechanism to explain the anti‐thermal quenching of this phosphor. Data on hepatitis B virus (HBV) pregenomic (pgRNA) levels in HIV/HBV coinfected patients pre‐ and post‐combined antiretroviral therapy (cART) are limited. This study aimed to evaluate the distribution of HBV pgRNA levels in treatment‐naive coinfected patients and explore the changes that occur after the initiation of cART by examining patients from multicentre cohort studies performed in China. We included HIV/HBV coinfected subjects from the China AIDS Clinical Trial cohorts established from 2008 to 2014. Clinical and serological markers of HIV and HBV infection and biochemical data were acquired at baseline and after 96 and 240–480 weeks of cART. The correlations between HBV pgRNA and HBV DNA levels as well as HBsAg levels were calculated using Spearman's bivariate correlation analysis, and multivariate regression analysis was performed to determine factors associated with undetectable HBV pgRNA levels before cART and HBeAg loss after cART. A total of 132 HIV/HBV coinfected patients were enrolled, and 100 individuals were HBeAg‐negative. A total of 34.4% (32/93) of patients were positive for HBV pgRNA, and the median HBV pgRNA level was 4.92 (IQR: 4.21–6.12) log10 copies/mL before cART. The median HBV pgRNA level was significantly lower in HBeAg‐negative individuals than in HBeAg‐positive individuals (4.22 (IQR: 2.70–4.84) log10 copies/mL vs. 5.77 (IQR: 4.63–6.55) log10 copies/mL, p = 0.002). HBV pgRNA was moderately correlated with HBsAg (r = 0.594, p = 0.001), and positively associated with HBV DNA (r = 0.445, p = 0.011). The factors independently associated with undetectable HBV pgRNA level before cART were HBV DNA (OR: 5.61, 95% CI: 1.50–20.96, p = 0.01) and HBeAg status (OR: 5.95, 95% CI: 1.52–23.25, p = 0.01). A total of 87.5% (28/32) of patients were followed for a median duration of 138 (IQR: 54–240) weeks, and the HBV pgRNA levels became undetectable in seven patients. The 132 patients were observed for 695.5 person‐years, and no HBsAg loss occurred. Thirteen individuals achieved HBeAg loss, four patients had undetectable levels of HBV pgRNA pre‐cART, and the level of six individuals became undetectable during the 48‐week (IQR: 48–264) follow‐up period. HBeAg status was significantly associated with HBV pgRNA level in HIV/HBV coinfected patients pre‐ and post‐cART. Background: Superficial basal cell carcinoma (SBCC) is the rare subtype of basal cell carcinoma (BCC). BCC occurs in exposed areas such as the head and face, SCBB prone to form in trunk. Due to the manifestation of erythema and desquamation, it is prone to misdiagnosed as Bowen's disease in clinica. Materials and methods: A 68‐year‐old female presented with coin‐sized erythema located on the lower abdomen for 5 years. Histopathological examination was performed, and results informed the diagnosis of SBCC. Lesions were detected by dermoscopy, reflectance confocal microscopy (RCM) and multiphoton microscopy (MPM). Results: Dermoscopy revealed yellow–red background with more dendritic and linear proliferating vessels and more blue‐gray nonaggregated dots structures. RCM displayed streaming of stratum spinosum, tortuous dilated vessels, highlighted inflammatory cells, and medium refraction round and oval tumor cell masses. MPM showed epidermal cells in polar arrangement, increased cell spacing, disorganized stratum granulosum and elastic fibers are gathered in clusters. Conclusion: We described a case of SBCC detected by dermoscopy, RCM and MPM. Noninvasive imaging features may provide a potentially tools in recognition and differentiation of SBCC. The activation of DNA‐dependent kinase (DNA‐PKcs) upon DNA damage contains a cascade of reactions, covering acetylation by TIP60, binding with Ku70/80, and autophosphorylation. However, how cells regulate TIP60‐mediated acetylation of DNA‐PKcs and the following DNA‐PKcs activation upon DNA damage remains obscure. This present study reported that TIP60 is hyper‐SUMOylated in normal conditions, but upon irradiation‐induced DNA damage, small ubiquitin‐like modifier (SUMO)‐specific protease 3 (SENP3)‐mediated deSUMOylation of TIP60 promoted its interaction with DNA‐PKcs to form the TIP60‐DNA‐PKcs complex. We show that TIP60 SUMOylation is reduced quickly in response to DNA damage and the deSUMOylation of TIP60 by SENP3 is required for DNA‐PKcs acetylation and its autophosphorylation. Comet and γH2AX immunofluorescence assay showed that knockdown of SENP3 impaired DNA damage repair. Using the NHEJ report system, we found that knockdown of SENP3 affected the efficiency of NHEJ. Further exploration using clonogenic survival assay, cell viability assay and cytoflow assay suggested that leaking SENP3 increased the sensitivity of tumour cells to serval DNA damage treatment. This study aimed to explore the application value of two laboratory tests in the diagnosis of Epstein‐Barr virus‐associated infectious mononucleosis (EBV‐IM) in children. From January 2018 to December 2020, 166 patients with EBV‐IM were included in this study. Two methods were used in the analysis. The results of both tests were compared and analyzed. The age of onset of EBV‐IM is mainly distributed in the range of 0–6 years, and no difference by gender is observed. The sensitivity and specificity of EBV testing by PCR were 49.4% and 89.8%, respectively, and the area under the receiver operating characteristic curve (AUC) was 0.714 (0.662–0.762). When using the immunofluorescence method to detect EBV antibodies, the two indices with the highest diagnostic efficacy were low‐affinity EBV‐CA IgG and EBV‐CA IgM, and their AUC values were 0.798 (0.751–0.840) and 0.663 (0.609–0.713), respectively. When combining the two indices for testing, the AUC values of EBV‐CA IgM + low‐affinity EBV‐CA IgG, EBV‐DNA+EBV‐CA IgM, and EBV‐DNA+low‐affinity EBV‐CA IgG were 0.904 (0.867–0.933), 0.768 (0.719–0.812), and 0.963 (0.937–0.981), respectively. The diagnostic efficacy of the combined EBV‐DNA+EBV‐CA IgM + low‐affinity EBV‐CA IgG test was optimal compared with that of a single index or the combination of two indices, with an AUC of 0.999 (0.986–1.000; p < 0.05), sensitivity of 100%, and specificity of 89.8%. Prostate cancer (PCa) is a complex disease. An ongoing accumulation of mutations results in increased genetic diversity, with the tumor acquiring distinct subclones. However, non‐genetic intra‐tumoral heterogeneity, the cellular differentiation state and the interplay between subclonal evolution and transcriptional heterogeneity are poorly understood. Here, the authors perform single‐cell RNA sequencing from 14 untreated PCa patients. They create an extensive cell atlas of the PCa patients and mapped developmental states onto tumor subclonal evolution. They identify distinct subclones across PCa patients and then stratify tumor cells into four transcriptional subtypes, EMT‐like (subtype 0), luminal A‐like (subtype 1), luminal B/C‐like (subtype 2), and basal‐like (subtype 3). These subtypes are hierarchically organized into stem cell‐like and differentiated status. Strikingly, multiple subclones within a single primary tumor present with distinct combinations of preferential subtypes. In addition, subclones show different communication strengths with other cell types within the tumor ecosystem, which may modulate the distinct transcriptional subtypes of the subclones. Notably, by integrating TCGA data, they discover that both tumor cell transcriptional heterogeneity and cellular ecosystem diversity correlate with features of a poor prognosis. Family with sequence similarity 129, member B (FAM129B) has been identified as a novel cytoprotective protein that facilitates the survival of detrimentally stimulated cells. However, whether FAM129B is involved in regulating cardiomyocyte survival after myocardial ischemia–reperfusion injury is unknown. The goal of this work was to evaluate the potential role of FAM129B in regulating hypoxia/reoxygenation (H/R)‐induced cardiomyocyte injury in vitro. We demonstrated that exposure to H/R markedly downregulated the expression of FAM129B in cardiomyocytes. Functional experiments revealed that the upregulation of FAM129B improved H/R‐exposed cardiomyocyte viability, and ameliorated H/R‐induced cardiomyocyte apoptosis, the generation of reactive oxygen species (ROS), and pro‐inflammatory cytokine release. The upregulation of FAM129B significantly increased the nuclear expression of nuclear factor‐erythroid 2‐related factor 2 (Nrf2), and reinforced Nrf2/antioxidant response element (ARE) activation in H/R‐exposed cardiomyocytes. Moreover, FAM129B modulates Nrf2/ARE signaling in a Kelchlike ECH‐associated protein 1‐dependent manner. Notably, the inhibition of Nrf2 significantly blocked FAM129B‐overexpression‐induced cardioprotective effects in H/R‐exposed cardiomyocytes. In summary, the findings of our work demonstrate that the upregulation of FAM129B ameliorates H/R‐induced cardiomyocyte injury via enhancing Nrf2/ARE activation. This account presents information on all aspects of the biology of Ginkgo biloba L. (Ginkgo, Maidenhair tree) that are relevant to understanding its ecological characteristics. The main topics are presented within the standard framework of the International Biological Flora: distribution, habitat, communities, responses to biotic factors, responses to environment, structure and physiology, phenology, reproductive and seed characters, herbivores and disease, history, conservation and global heterogeneity.Globally, Ginkgo survives a wide range of mean annual temperature (−3.3 to 23.3°C) and annual precipitation (34–3925 mm) conditions, according to a meta‐analysis. It prefers a warm, humid, open‐canopy and a well‐drained environment. The species shows strong tolerance to drought, freezing, fire, air pollution, heavy metals and low‐level salt, whereas it is intolerant to long‐time shade and waterlogging. Six Ginkgo trees even survived the atom bomb in Hiroshima, Japan, during World War II.Ginkgo is susceptible to few diseases. Those occurring in nursery seedlings and juvenile trees involve stem rot and leaf blight. The former is caused by Macrophomina phaseoli, which could lead to a mortality rate of 5%–12% (up to 31.8%) for seedlings. This disease can be mitigated by a 4‐h shading treatment and applying organic fertilisers. The pathogens inducing leaf blight include Alternaria alternata, Colletotrichum gloeosporioides and Pestalotia ginkgo, which may infect 100% juvenile trees in some regions. The application of 45% carbendazim or 50% Tuzet can effectively prevent leaf blight.Ginkgo biloba is one of the world's most distinctive trees with an important position in plant evolution and human society. It is a tall deciduous dioecious tree native to China. Refugial populations were identified in three glacial refugia located in eastern, southern and south‐western China, respectively, with a patchy distribution pattern and a small population size. It typically grows along flood‐disturbed streamsides in warm‐temperate deciduous (and evergreen mixed) broadleaved forests. Ginkgo may have been introduced repeatedly out of China since the sixth century. It has been planted as a landscape tree world‐wide, except in Antarctica. The genus Wisteria (Fabaceae) is disjunctly distributed in eastern Asian and eastern North American temperate deciduous forests, and it is widely cultivated around the world as spectacular garden plants. It is a member of inverted repeat‐lacking clade (IRLC). The IRLC Species are characterized by the loss of an IR region in their plastomes, which has long been of great interest. In this research, we report whole plastome sequences from all four Wisteria species and a Wisteriopsis japonica, combining these with existing data to explore phylogenetic relationships and biogeography of Wisteria, as well as plastome evolution of IRLC species. Phylogenetic analyses recognized a clade containing Glycyrrhiza–Wisteriopsis–Wisteria as sister to the remaining genera of IRLC. North American Wisteria frutescens and the three Asian species formed reciprocal clades, and Wisteria brachybotrys was sister to Wisteria floribunda and Wisteria sinensis. Wisteria may have originated in Japan near the boundary of the Oligocene and Miocene. The disappearance of Bering Land Bridge in the late Miocene might lead to the Eastern Asian–Eastern North American disjunction of Wisteria. Allopatric speciation of Wisteria between the Japanese archipelago and the Asian continent in the Quaternary increased the species richness of eastern Asia in comparison with eastern North America. Synonymous substitution rates (dS) of protein‐coding genes in the IRLC species were around 2‐fold (SC genes) or 11‐fold (IR genes) higher than those of non‐IRLC species. For both SC and IR genes, herbaceous legumes have around 3‐fold higher dS than woody ones. Both loss of one IR region and herbaceous habit elevated substitution rates of the plastomes. This article proposes four new principles for logical biomarker cut‐point selection methods to adhere to: subgroup sensibility, sensitivity, specificity, and target monotonicity. At every cut‐point value, our method gives confidence intervals not only for the efficacy at that cut‐point value, but also efficacies in the marker‐positive and marker‐negative subgroups defined by that cut‐point. These confidence intervals are given simultaneously for all possible cut‐point values. Using Alzheimer's disease (AD) and type 2 diabetes (T2DM) as examples, we show our method achieves the four principles. Our method strongly controls familywise type I error rate (FWER) across both levels of multiplicity: the multiplicity of having marker‐positive and marker‐negative subgroups at each cut‐point, and the multiplicity of searching through infinitely many cut‐points. This is in contrast to other available methods. The confidence level of our simultaneous confidence intervals is in fact exact (not conservative). Background: There are a limited number of validated questionnaires available for use in the clinical screening for allergic rhinitis (AR) in children ≤3 years old. We developed a novel self‐reported questionnaire and assessed its accuracy and reliability. Methods: After establishing a pool of items, which were screened by experts, the Young Children Allergic Rhinitis Questionnaire (YCAR‐Q) was administered to a birth cohort in the Shunyi District (Beijing, China). The electronic version of the YCAR‐Q was distributed through the online community. Children were invited to visit a physician for examination. The diagnostic criteria included symptoms, physical examination findings, and specific serum immunoglobulin E tests. Each item on the questionnaire was evaluated, and the questionnaire's internal consistency, content validity, criterion‐related validity, and diagnostic accuracy were assessed. Results: The six‐item YCAR‐Q was distributed to 7423 parents, and 3037 valid questionnaires were recovered. In total, 1521 children visited a physician for examination, of which 82 were found to have AR. In terms of internal consistency, Cronbach's coefficient was 0.777 and all six questionnaire items were retained. The average scale‐level content validity index value was 1. The area under the curve was 0.759. The total scores ranged from 0 to 6, and the cutoff value for diagnosing AR was 3, with a sensitivity of 68.29% and a specificity of 76.58%. Conclusions: This cross‐sectional study indicated that the YCAR‐Q could detect AR in children ≤3 years old. This brief and simple test may be used effectively in clinical practice. Objective: The aim of this study was to assess the efficacy and safety of intrapleural perfusion with hyperthermic chemotherapy (IPHC) in treating malignant pleural effusion (MPE) compared to normothermic chemoperfusion of the pleural cavity (NCPC), and to investigate the better treatment to control MPE. Methods: Malignant pleural effusion patients were enrolled in the study and treated with NCPC or IPHC under video‐assisted thoracoscopic surgery (VATS). The chest drainage duration, clinical characteristics, and recurrence time of pleural effusion of patients were collected for statistical analysis. The chi‐squared test and the Fisher's exact test were applied to compare the distribution differences in categorical variables. Progression‐free survival (PFS) was estimated by the Kaplan–Meier method and was compared by the log‐rank test. The survival analysis was performed using the Cox proportional hazards method. Results: A total of 37 MPE patients were enrolled in this study. Twenty‐seven patients received NCPC and 10 patients received IPHC under VATS. Significant differences were found in pathological types (p = 0.011), chest drainage duration (p = 0.005), and remission rate (p = 0.009) between two different treatment groups. The chest drainage duration of IPHC under VATS was shorter than the NCPC group (t = 2.969, p = 0.005). The remission rate of MPE in IPHC group was better than the NCPC one (OR = 0.031, 95% CI: 0.002–0.507, p = 0.015). The result of the Kaplan–Meier method showed that IPHC group could significantly prolong the PFS of patients with MPE compared to NCPC group (log‐rank p = 0.002). Univariate cox regression analysis showed that patients with MPE in the IPHC group presented significant longer PFS than the NCPC group (HR = 0.264, 95% CI: 0.098–0.713, p = 0.009). Multivariate cox regression analysis further verified this conclusion (HR = 0.268, 95% CI: 0.096–0.753, p = 0.012). Conclusion: Compared to the NCPC, the IPHC under VATS presents a better control effect on MPE, shorter tube placement time, and longer complete remission time. For this reason, we recommend IPHC under VATS as the first‐line treatment for patients with MPE those who can tolerate minimally invasive surgery. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Comprehensive Summary: Fabricating n‐type organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) based on small molecules via solution processing under atmospheric conditions remains challenging. Blending small molecules with polymer is an effective strategy to improve the solution processibility and air stability of the resulted devices. In this study, polystyrene was chosen to blend with n‐type small molecule DPP1012‐4F to enhance the continuity of the semiconductor layer and maintain a favorable edge‐on stacking of semiconductors. The introduction of high‐boiling point 1‐chloronaphthalene as a solvent additive in the blending system can reduce the grain boundary defects in the microscopic morphology. These changes in aggregation behavior are confirmed by X‐ray diffraction, atomic force microscopy and polarized optical microscopy analyses. Via bar‐coating of the semiconductor layers in air, the electron mobility of the resulted OTFTs under the optimal condition is 0.73 cm2·V–1·s–1, which is amongst the highest n‐type small molecule‐based OTFTs with active layers prepared in air up to now. Low‐bandgap organic semiconductors have attracted much attention for their multiple applications in optoelectronics. However, the realization of narrow bandgap is challenging particularly for small molecules. Herein, we have synthesized four quinoidal compounds, i. e. QSN3, QSN4, QSN5 and QSN6, with electron rich S,N‐heteroacene as the quinoidal core and indandione as the end‐groups. The optical bandgap of the quinoidal compounds is systematically decreased with the extension of quinoidal skeleton, while maintaining stable closed‐shell ground state. QSN6 absorbs an intense absorption in the first and second near‐infrared region in the solid state, and has extremely low optical bandgap of 0.74 eV. Cyclic voltammetry analyses reveal that the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital (LUMO) energy levels of the four quinoidal compounds all lie below −4.1 eV, resulting in good electron‐transporting characteristics in organic thin‐film transistors. These results demonstrated that the combination of π‐extended quinoidal core and end‐groups in quinoidal compounds is an effective strategy for the synthesis of low‐bandgap small molecules with good stability. Nine diketopyrrolopyrrole (DPP)‐based conjugated polymers (CPs), that is, poly(diketopyrrolopyrrole‐alt‐terchalcogenophene)s, via combinations of furanyl‐(FDPP), thienyl‐(TDPP), selenophenyl‐DPP (SeDPP) and furan, thiophene, selenophene comonomers, are synthesized to explore the chalcogen effect on the solubility, film morphology/microstructure, and charge transport property of the resultant polymers. All polymers except for SeDPP‐Se are soluble in non‐chlorinated solvents such as o‐xylene and tetralin. Flanking of DPP with furan in FDPP‐F, FDPP‐T, and FDPP‐Se enables even good solubility in green solvent anisole. TDPP‐Se exhibits the highest reliable hole mobility over 10 cm2 V−1 s−1 in organic thin film transistors (OTFTs) bar‐coated from o‐xylene/tetralin (20/80 v/v) solution. With anisole as the processing solvent, FDPP‐F‐based bar‐coated OTFTs displays a reliable hole mobility up to 3.50 cm2 V−1 s−1. This is the first report on green solvent processed OTFTs with mobility above 1 cm2 V−1 s−1. Charge transport property of all the polymers is correlated with the film morphology and microstructure that are noticeably influenced by the type and position of chalcogenophenes. In this article, a compact triple‐mode balanced passband filter with intrinsic common‐mode (CM) suppression is designed by using a single isosceles right triangle perturbed half‐mode substrate integrated waveguide (HMSIW) cavity. The perturbation metallic vias are introduced to tune the first three resonant modes of HMSIW cavity to form a passband. Furthermore, the planar differential microstrip‐pin feed structure is designed to excite the perturbed substrate integrated waveguide cavity. Under CM operation, when the substrate's height is less than λg/4, the space between perfect electric conductor and perfect magnetic conductor cannot transmit electromagnetic wave, so CM noise can effectively cut off at the planar differential feed structure in a wide frequency range. Finally, a prototyped prototype at 4.5 GHz is designed and fabricated, and measured results show good agreement with simulated ones. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
