Abstract
Information regarding a series of academic readings dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Ukrainian neuroscientist Leonid Gittik, held in Lutsk, Ukraine from June 8-10, 2016, is presented. Topics discussed include studies on neurological brain dysfunctions, dynamics of muscle construction, and psychological load stress. The event was attended by several neuroscience and neurological school professionals including Ihor Kotsan, Poruchynskiy Andriy, and professor Mackarchuk.
The article focuses on the symposium "GABAergic neurotransmission in the human cerebral cortex: Same rules apply?" sponsored by the Anatomical Society as part of the British Neuroscience Association Festival of Neuroscience, London, England on April 7-10, 2013. Topics discussed include role of GABAergic neurotransmission in cortical microcircuits in slices from human brain, non-invasive functional brain imaging, and methods for recordings from neurons in patients implanted with electrodes.
