With a single-switched DC-DC converter, a hybrid approach is proposed for a fast-charging (FC) dc to dc converter with the controller for an electric vehicle charging station (EVCS) that combines solar photovoltaic (PV), fuel cells (FC), and a battery energy storage system (BESS). The proposed hybrid technique integrates a radial-basis-function-neural-network (RBFNN) and a student-psychology-optimization-algorithm (SPOA); commonly known as the RBFNN-SPOA technique. The PV-FC hybrid electric vehicle systems, like controllers, electric vehicle, and the vehicle’s power source, are displayed. The proposed converter architectures have less voltage waveform changes, a low voltage stress on semiconductor power sources, and a high-voltage ratio of conversion. The proposed method is to use FC successfully at battery charge states and varied radiation levels. The FC in the controller of SPOA may change the inputs and outputs depending on the battery state of charge (SoC) and PV irradiation. Similarly, the needed input-torque for the motor is forecasted by the recalling recurrent neural network controller using several manually produced torque signals. The performance of the proposed technique is evaluated in MATLAB and is compared to ant colony optimization (ACO), crow optimization algorithm (COA), and fuzzy logic controller (FLC) approaches. Summary: This article proposes a hybrid POA‐RBFNN approach for PV (photovoltaic) based grid tied intelligent controlled water pump system. The proposed method is the hybrid wrapper of Pelican Optimization Algorithm (POA) and Radial Basis Function Neural Network (RBFNN) and later it is termed as POA‐RBFNN method. On the basis of bidirectional power grids, this research presents bidirectional power flow control for PV systems. The water pump is driven through a three‐phase synchronous reluctance motor (RSM). A novel Cuk integrated Landsman converter can operate at low duty cycles to provide larger DC voltages with negligible switching losses is used. In addition, to enhance the pumping system reliability, solar panels and electric pumps can be used to their maximum potential. Despite fluctuating weather conditions, the system supplies nominal displacement all over the day and surplus energy to the grid. Furthermore, if one of the sources fails, the pump performance is unaffected. Switching losses are minimized since the Voltage Source Inverter (VSI) operates at a fundamental frequency. In all operational modes, this control delivers unique grid‐side power quality and unity power factor functioning. With the increase in the amount of data captured during the manufacturing process, surveillance systems are the most important decision making decisions. Current technologies such as Internet of Things (IoT) can be considered a solution to provide efficient monitoring of productivity. In this study, it has suggested a real-time monitoring system that uses an IoT, big data processing and an Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) model is proposed. The Offshore Wind Farm (OWF) is an extended level invasion in modern power electronics systems, in this proposed work Doubly Fed Induction Generator (DFIG) based multi machined OWF was designed, and power stability was analyzed using Substantial Transformative Optimization Algorithm (STOA). The Voltage Source Converter (VSC) and High Voltage Direct Current (HVDC) system was combined with onshore network. The terminal voltage of onshore network was controlled through Onshore Side Converter (OSC), active and reactive power was regulated separately using VSC. The performance of the onshore network was evaluated under renewable network errors (Total Harmonics distortion and steady state error) beside with OWF. The OWF - DFIG active and reactive power was controlled smoothly with in the limit of HVDC, and the power framework security can be updated by controlling the active power of the OSC to help its terminal voltage using STOA methodology. From the voltage control mode, the electrical faults are recovered rapidly with minimum fluctuation. The dynamic simulation comes about additionally demonstrate that onshore network fault can't impact OWF behind HVDC transmission system. Because of the specialized favorable circumstance, VSC-HVDC innovation, the constancy in OWF is very much ensured against the onshore grid faults. The proposed STOA based system has validated through simulation in Matlab Simulink environment. General, 97% effectiveness, accomplished at full load condition in light of the proposed system. Objective: Neonatal endotracheal intubation is a lifesaving but technically difficult procedure, particularly for inexperienced operators. This secondary analysis in a subgroup of inexperienced operators of the Stabilization with nasal High flow during Intubation of NEonates randomised trial aimed to identify the factors associated with successful intubation on the first attempt without physiological stability of the infant., Methods: In this secondary analysis, demographic factors were compared between infants intubated by inexperienced operators and those intubated by experienced operators. Following this, for inexperienced operators only, predictors of successful intubation without physiological instability were analysed., Results: A total of 251 intubations in 202 infants were included in the primary intention-to-treat analysis of the main trial. Inexperienced operators were more likely to perform intubations in larger and more mature infants in the neonatal intensive care unit where premedications were used. When intubations were performed by inexperienced operators, the use of nasal high flow therapy (nHF) and a higher starting fraction of inspired oxygen were associated with a higher rate of safe, successful intubation on the first attempt. Residents of lower socioeconomic status (SES) areas are at a higher risk of overweight/obesity than those from higher SES areas. Built environment attributes may mitigate such inequalities. This systematic review synthesised findings of studies examining built environment attributes as potential moderators of the associations between area-level SES and overweight/obesity in adults. From five databases, nine eligible studies were identified. The SES-overweight/obesity relationship was stronger in inner areas and suburbs of large cities, while it was weaker in more rural areas. Two studies examined walkability and reported contrasting findings: no moderation in one and marginally significant moderation (less inequality in higher walkability areas) in the other. No evidence of moderation was found for street connectivity, population density, the food environment, access to physical activity facilities and several perceived environmental attributes. Purpose: We examined the potential mediating roles of domain-specific physical activities and sedentary behaviors in the relationship between area-level socioeconomic status (SES) and cardiometabolic risk., Methods: Data were from the 2011/2012 Australian Diabetes, Obesity and Lifestyle study (n = 3431). The outcome was a clustered cardiometabolic risk (CCR) score, and the exposure was suburb-level SES. Potential mediators were domain-specific physical activities and sedentary behaviors. Multilevel linear regression models examined associations between SES and potential mediators (α) and between mediators and CCR (β). Mediation was assessed using the joint-significance test., Results: Higher SES was associated with a lower CCR score. Lower SES was associated with less frequent walking for transport, lower vigorous-intensity recreational physical activity, and higher TV time, which were associated with higher CCR scores. However, higher SES was associated with longer transport-related sitting time (all modes and in cars), which were associated with higher CCR scores., Conclusions: The SES-cardiometabolic risk relationship may be partially explained by walking for transport, vigorous-intensity recreational physical activity, and TV viewing. The antioxidant enzyme catalase represents an important therapeutic target due to its role in mitigating cellular reactive oxygen species that contribute to the pathogenesis of many disease states. Catalase-SKL (CAT-SKL), a genetically engineered, peroxisome-targeted, catalase derivative, was developed in order to increase the therapeutic potential of the enzyme, and has previously been shown to be effective in combating oxidative stress in a variety of in vitro and in vivo models, thereby mitigating cellular degeneration and death. In the present study we addressed important considerations for the development of an extracellular vesicle-packaged version of CAT-SKL (evCAT-SKL) as a therapeutic for neurodegenerative diseases by investigating its delivery potential to the brain when administered intranasally, and safety by assessing off-target toxicity in a mouse model. Mice received weekly intranasal administrations of evCAT-SKL or empty extracellular vesicles for 4 weeks. Fluorescent labeling for CAT-SKL was observed throughout all sections of the brain in evCAT-SKL-treated mice, but not in empty extracellular vesicle-treated mice. Furthermore, we found no evidence of gross or histological abnormalities following evCAT-SKL or empty extracellular vesicle treatment in a full-body toxicological analysis. Combined, the successful brain targeting and the lack of off-target toxicity demonstrates that intranasal delivery of extracellular vesicle-packaged CAT-SKL holds promise as a therapeutic for addressing neurological disorders., (© 2021. Night shifts at work is the most frequent reasons for circadian rhythm disruption and subsequent psychological and physiological disturbances, especially increased risk of cardiovascular and respiratory ailments compared to daytime workers. Alternate nostril breathing for about 15 minutes was known to have effect over cardiac, respiratory parameters and muscle strength. Hence aim is of interest to assess the effects of alternate nostril breathing (ANB) on cardio-respiratory parameters and muscle strength among the rotating shift workers in the tertiary care hospital. This observational study was carried out in the department of Physiology after getting institutional ethical committee clearance. Around 140 rotating night shift workers of both sex of age 25-40 years with normal BMI and 140 non-shift workers age, sex and BMI matched were selected as study and control group respectively. Heart rate, blood Pressure, respiratory rate, peak expiratory flow rate, respiratory endurance, respiratory burst test, muscle strength and fatigue were recorded before and after 15 minutes of ANB. Shift workers were found to have significantly altered systolic (P=0.000) and diastolic (P=0.002) blood pressure and heart rate (P=0.010) compared to non-shift workers. Fatigue is altered significantly (P< 0.05) after ANB between both shift and non- shift workers. Deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA) and a self-doped conjugated polyelectrolyte, poly(4-(2,3-dihydrothieno[3,4-b]-[1,4]dioxin-2-yl-methoxy)-1-butanesulfonic acid (PEDOT-S), are assembled for organic optoelectronics and bioelectronics. The DNA's helix-coil phase transition in water is studied as a function of composition by thermo-optical analysis. DNA and PEDOT-S are functionalized by using a surfactant, cetyltrimethylammonium chloride (CTMA), and DNA:CTMA, PEDOT-S:CTMA, and DNA:CTMA:PEDOT-S:CTMA complexes were characterized regarding thermal, optical, morphological, and structural properties. Finally, DNA and DNA:PEDOT-S mixtures are processed in water for fabricating organized films through brushing. The electrical properties of these films are characterized using an interdigitated electrode. The films show an electronic conductivity of ∼10 -6 -10 -5 S/cm in a range of semiconductors.

A honeycomb-like 3D N/S co-doped porous carbon-coated cobalt sulfide (CoS, Co 9 S 8 , and Co 1- S) composite (CS@PC) is successfully prepared using polyacrylonitrile (PAN) as the nitrogen-containing carbon source through a facile solvothermal method and subsequent in situ conversion. As an anode for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), the CS@PC composite exhibits excellent electrochemical performance, including high reversible capacity, good rate capability, and cyclic stability. The composite electrode delivers specific capacities of 781.2 and 466.0 mAh g x S) composite (CS@PC) is successfully prepared using polyacrylonitrile (PAN) as the nitrogen-containing carbon source through a facile solvothermal method and subsequent in situ conversion. As an anode for lithium-ion batteries (LIBs), the CS@PC composite exhibits excellent electrochemical performance, including high reversible capacity, good rate capability, and cyclic stability. The composite electrode delivers specific capacities of 781.2 and 466.0 mAh g -1 at 0.1 and 5 A g -1 , respectively. When cycled at a current density of 1 A g -1 , it displays a high reversible capacity of 717.0 mAh g -1 after 500 cycles. The ability to provide this level of performance is attributed to the unique 3D multi-level porous architecture with large electrode-electrolyte contact area, bicontinuous electron/ion transport pathways, and attractive structure stability. Such micro-/nanoscale design and engineering strategies may also be used to explore other nanocomposites to boost their energy storage performance.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the preparation of formulated water- in-soybean oil-in-water emulsions by repeated premix membrane emulsification method using a cellulose acetate membrane. The effect of selective membrane emulsification process parameters (concentration of the emulsifiers, number of passes of the emulsions through the membrane and storage temperature) on the properties and stability of the developed emulsions were also investigated. 1, 3, 6, 8-pyrenetetrasulfonic acid tetrasodium salt (PTSA) was used as a hydrophilic model ingredient for the encapsulation of bioactive substances. W/O emulsions with 7 wt% (weight percentage) PGPR displays homogeneous and very fine dispersions, with the median diameter at 0.640 μm. Meanwhile, emulsions prepared by membrane emulsification (fine W/O/W) showed the highest stability at Tween 80 concentrations of 0.5 wt.% (weight percentage). It concluded that at 7 wt.% (weight percentage) PGPR concentration and 0.5 wt.% (weight percentage) Tween 80 concentrations, the most uniform particles with minimum mean size of oil drops (9.926 μm) were obtained after four passes through the membrane. Thus, cellulose acetate membrane can be used for preparing a stable W/O/W emulsions by repeated premix ME due to low cost and relatively easy to handle.

Floating hydrogels were prepared from kappa carrageenan containing CaCO3 and NaHCO3 as pore forming agents. The effects of CaCO3 and NaHCO3 on hydrogel characterizations were investigated and compared. Amoxicillin trihydrate was used as a model drug. Characterizations of the hydrogels were carried out using Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM). As pore forming agents concentration increases, the porosity (%) and floating properties increased. NaHCO3 incorporated hydrogels showed higher porosity with shorter floating lag time (FLT) than CaCO3. Hydrogel which contained CaCO3 exhibited better gel stability over the control and NaHCO3 containing gel. Incorporation of CaCO3 into kappa carrageenan hydrogel showed smoother surface gels compared to those produced with NaHCO3. CaCO3 also showed higher drug entrapment efficiency and sustained drug release profile than NaHCO3. The results of these studies showed that, CaCO3 is an effective pore forming agents in κC hydrogels preparation as compare to NaHCO3. Genipin, a natural and non-toxic cross linker, was used to prepare cross linked floating kappa carrageenan/sodium carboxymethyl cellulose hydrogels and the effect of genipin on hydrogels characterization was investigated. Calcium carbonates were employed as gas forming agents. Ranitidine hydrochloride was used as drug. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR), X-ray diffraction (XRD) and thermogravimetric analysis (TGA) were carried out to study the changes in the characteristics of hydrogels. Furthermore, scanning electron microscope (SEM) was performed to study microstructure of hydrogels. The result showed that all formulated hydrogels had excellent floating behavior. It was discovered that the cross linking reaction showed significant effect on gel strength, porosity and swelling ratio compared to non-cross linked hydrogels. It was found that the drug release was slower and lesser after being cross linked. Microstructure study shows that cross linked hydrogels exhibited hard and rough surface.
