Systematic reviews rely on identification of studies, initially through electronic searches yielding potentially thousands of studies, and then reviewer-led screening studies for inclusion. This standard method is time- and resource-intensive. We designed and applied an algorithm written in Python involving computer-aided identification of keywords within each paper for an exemplar systematic review of arm impairment after stroke. The standard method involved reading each abstract searching for these keywords. We compared the methods in terms of accuracy in identification of keywords, abstracts' eligibility, and time taken to make a decision about eligibility. For external validation, we adapted the algorithm for a different systematic review, and compared eligible studies using the algorithm with those included in that review. For the exemplar systematic review, the algorithm failed on 72 out of 2,789 documents retrieved (2.6%). Both methods identified the same 610 studies for inclusion. Based on a sample of 21 randomly selected abstracts, the standard screening took 1.58 ± 0.26 min per abstract. Computer output screening took 0.43 ± 0.14 min per abstract. The mean difference between the two methods was 1.15 min ( P  < 0.0001), saving 73% per abstract. For the other systematic review, use of the algorithm resulted in the same studies being identified. One study was excluded based on the interpretation of the comparison intervention. Our purpose-built software was an accurate and significantly time-saving method for identifying eligible abstracts for inclusion in systematic reviews. In the era of informatization and digitization, the rapid increase in the number of scientific papers has given rise to various challenges, such as lengthy articles, difficulty in information extraction and high time costs associated with reading. Literature reading challenges for researchers are increasingly tedious and time-consuming. By utilizing the language models, the assited reading system of scientific papers has been designed to address these challenges. By adopting machine reading comprehension technology as the core, the system parses scientific texts and offers some common questions to achieve automated response capabilities. By fully utilizing the pre-trained language model PERT, the system enhances its capabilities in semantic understanding and information extraction, effectively resolving various challenges in reading scientific papers and helping readers improve the efficiency of scientific literature review. Background: In the healthcare domain today, despite the substantial adoption of electronic health information systems, a significant proportion of medical reports still exist in paper-based formats. As a result, there is a significant demand for the digitization of information from these paper-based reports. However, the digitization of paper-based laboratory reports into a structured data format can be challenging due to their non-standard layouts, which includes various data types such as text, numeric values, reference ranges, and units. Therefore, it is crucial to develop a highly scalable and lightweight technique that can effectively identify and extract information from laboratory test reports and convert them into a structured data format for downstream tasks. Methods: We developed an end-to-end Natural Language Processing (NLP)-based pipeline for extracting information from paper-based laboratory test reports. Our pipeline consists of two main modules: an optical character recognition (OCR) module and an information extraction (IE) module. The OCR module is applied to locate and identify text from scanned laboratory test reports using state-of-the-art OCR algorithms. The IE module is then used to extract meaningful information from the OCR results to form digitalized tables of the test reports. The IE module consists of five sub-modules, which are time detection, headline position, line normalization, Named Entity Recognition (NER) with a Conditional Random Fields (CRF)-based method, and step detection for multi-column. Finally, we evaluated the performance of the proposed pipeline on 153 laboratory test reports collected from Peking University First Hospital (PKU1). Results: In the OCR module, we evaluate the accuracy of text detection and recognition results at three different levels and achieved an averaged accuracy of 0.93. In the IE module, we extracted four laboratory test entities, including test item name, test result, test unit, and reference value range. The overall F1 score is 0.86 on the 153 laboratory test reports collected from PKU1. With a single CPU, the average inference time of each report is only 0.78 s. Conclusion: In this study, we developed a practical lightweight pipeline to digitalize and extract information from paper-based laboratory test reports in diverse types and with different layouts that can be adopted in real clinical environments with the lowest possible computing resources requirements. During graduate education, postgraduates have to spend considerable time finding papers to explore the development branches of their field. However, existing paper recommendation methods focus on several attributes (title, author, keyword, venue, etc.). The network schema constructed by these attributes is extremely sparse, which easily causes the loss of important semantic paths between attributes. This results in a lack of correlations among relevant papers, which affects paper recommendation efficiency. Moreover, the relationships between multiple semantic paths can be found through common homogeneous and heterogeneous attributes. These relationships can establish many correlations among relevant papers. To address the above problems, this paper proposes a new approach to fuse multi-semantic paths into a heterogeneous educational network (HEN) for personalized paper recommendation. After data processing, a new HEN schema is built by enriching nodes and edges in heterogeneous networks. Then, different semantic meta-paths are generated by projection sub-nets. Next, a new HEN embedding method is proposed by multi-semantic path fusion to generate rich HEN node sequences. Finally, personalized paper recommendation for postgraduates by targeted path similarity. The proposed method was performed on two paper datasets in the fields of educational intergenerational mobility from 1987 to 2021 and data mining and intelligent media from 1997 to 2021. Keyword extraction is the task of identifying important terms or phrase that are most representative of the source document. Although the process of automatic extraction of keywords from title is an old method, it was mainly for extraction from a single web document. Our approach differs from previous research works on keyword extraction in several aspects. For those who are non-expert of the scientific fields, understating scientific research trends is difficult. The purpose of this study is to develop an automatic method of obtaining overviews of a scientific field for non-experts by capturing research trends. This empirical study excavates significant term extraction using Natural Language Processing (NLP) tools. More than 15000 titles saved in a .csv file was our dataset and scripts written in Python were our process to compare how far significant terms of scientific title corpus are similar or different to the terms available in the abstract of that same scientific article corpus. A light-weight unsupervised title extractor, Yet Another Keyword Extractor (YAKE) was used to extract the results. Based on our analysis, it can be concluded that these algorithms can be used for other fields too by the non-experts of that subject field to perform automatic extraction of significant words and understanding trends. In this era, research and development are becoming a continuous and accelerating process because technology changes rapidly with a short lifecycle. As a result, various methodologies are being developed to monitor these rapidly changing research trends; In particular, clustering method-related studies in science and technology documents are being developed with a variety of approaches. However, previous studies on document clustering methods focus on a specific field or language but do not take into consideration certain important pieces of information in science and technology documents. Therefore, this study proposes an embedding methodology that uses important content from scientific and technical documents. We took into consideration the importance of information containing core structures in science and technology documents and proposed a clustering methodology that analyzes structured and unstructured data, such as textual information, author information, and citation information. The proposed method combines both textual and structural data from the paper, using a method that focuses on screening important information by sections in science and technology documents. Then, Girvan-Newman clustering and Louvain clustering models are applied to generate embedding vectors and show evaluation results through the clustering indices. As a practical example, we applied the proposed methodology using paper data from the field of hydrogen cell vehicles. The results of this study will be effective in identifying gaps in technology for new technological development, identifying technology trends, and presenting directional information for future technology development.

The growth in academic and scientific publications has increased very rapidly. Researchers must choose a representative and significant literature for their research, which has become challenging worldwide. Usually, the paper citation number indicates this paper's potential influence and importance. However, this standard metric of citation numbers is not suitable to assess the popularity and significance of recently published papers. To address this challenge, this study presents an effective prediction method called FutureCite to predict the future citation level of research articles. FutureCite integrates machine learning with text and graph mining techniques, leveraging their abilities in classification, datasets in-depth analysis, and feature extraction. FutureCite aims to predict future citation levels of research articles applying a multilabel classification approach. FutureCite can extract significant semantic features and capture the interconnection relationships found in scientific articles during feature extraction using textual content, citation networks, and metadata as feature resources. This study's objective is to contribute to the advancement of effective approaches impacting the citation counts in scientific publications by enhancing the precision of future citations. We conducted several experiments using a comprehensive publication dataset to evaluate our method and determine the impact of using a variety of machine learning algorithms. FutureCite demonstrated its robustness and efficiency and showed promising results based on different evaluation metrics. Purpose: The main objective of this study is to evaluate the impact of Persian Scientific Papers (PSPs) on Persian Wikipedia by studying Wikipedia's citations to these papers. Design/methodology/approach: The present study is applied research, which has been performed by the web-mining method, such as downloading web pages, extracting information (references), identifying papers, detecting peer-review journals and calculating the frequency rates. The statistical population included 10,000 Persian Wikipedia Pages (PWPs) that were analyzed in two rounds with a six-month interval. Findings: The number of pages containing the Persian references section was 3,994 and 4,063 out of the 10,000 pages extracted in the first and second rounds. The ratio of pages that cited scientific sources (58 and 67 pages) to the pages extracted from the PWP was equal to 0.58 and 0.67%. The ratio of pages that cited scientific sources to pages with Persian references in each round was equal to 1.45 and 1.64%. The number of references extracted from the PWP in each round equaled 30,441 and 35,891. Eight titles from reputable Persian journals had received at least three citations from Wikipedia. Originality/value: The present study has determined the extent of interaction between science and society (knowledge flow) in the form of citations from Wikipedia articles to articles in peer-reviewed journals. The study of this issue in Persian Wikipedia in more than 2000 Persian peer-reviewed journals shows the originality of the present paper. Highly cited papers are influenced by external factors that are not directly related to the document's intrinsic quality. In this study, 50 characteristics for measuring the performance of 68 highly cited papers, from the Journal of The American Medical Informatics Association indexed in Web of Science (WOS), from 2009 to 2019 were investigated. In the first step, a Pearson correlation analysis is performed to eliminate variables with zero or weak correlation with the target ("dependent") variable (number of citations in WOS). Consequently, 32 variables are selected for the next step. By applying the Ridge technique, 13 features show a positive effect on the number of citations. Using three different algorithms, i.e., Ridge, Lasso, and Boruta, 6 factors appear to be the most relevant ones. The "Number of citations by international researchers", "Journal self-citations in citing documents", and "Authors' self-citations in citing documents", are recognized as the most important features by all three methods here used. The "First author's scientific age", "Open-access paper", and "Number of first author's citations in WOS" are identified as the important features of highly cited papers by only two methods, Ridge and Lasso. Notice that we use specific machine learning algorithms as feature selection methods (Ridge, Lasso, and Boruta) to identify the most important features of highly cited papers, tools that had not previously been used for this purpose. In conclusion, we re-emphasize the performance resulting from such algorithms. Moreover, we do not advise authors to seek to increase the citations of their articles by manipulating the identified performance features. Background: Relation extraction (RE) plays a crucial role in biomedical research as it is essential for uncovering complex semantic relationships between entities in textual data. Given the significance of RE in biomedical informatics and the increasing volume of literature, there is an urgent need for advanced computational models capable of accurately and efficiently extracting these relationships on a large scale., Results: This paper proposes a novel approach, SARE, combining ensemble learning Stacking and attention mechanisms to enhance the performance of biomedical relation extraction. By leveraging multiple pre-trained models, SARE demonstrates improved adaptability and robustness across diverse domains. The attention mechanisms enable the model to capture and utilize key information in the text more accurately. SARE achieved performance improvements of 4.8, 8.7, and 0.8 percentage points on the PPI, DDI, and ChemProt datasets, respectively, compared to the original BERT variant and the domain-specific PubMedBERT model., Conclusions: SARE offers a promising solution for improving the accuracy and efficiency of relation extraction tasks in biomedical research, facilitating advancements in biomedical informatics. The development of accurate predictions for a new drug's absorption, distribution, metabolism, and excretion profiles in the early stages of drug development is crucial due to high candidate failure rates. The absence of comprehensive, standardised, and updated pharmacokinetic (PK) repositories limits pre-clinical predictions and often requires searching through the scientific literature for PK parameter estimates from similar compounds. While text mining offers promising advancements in automatic PK parameter extraction, accurate Named Entity Recognition (NER) of PK terms remains a bottleneck due to limited resources. This work addresses this gap by introducing novel corpora and language models specifically designed for effective NER of PK parameters. Leveraging active learning approaches, we developed an annotated corpus containing over 4000 entity mentions found across the PK literature on PubMed. To identify the most effective model for PK NER, we fine-tuned and evaluated different NER architectures on our corpus. Fine-tuning BioBERT exhibited the best results, achieving a strict F 1 score of 90.37% in recognising PK parameter mentions, significantly outperforming heuristic approaches and models trained on existing corpora. Background: The accelerating pace of biomedical publication has made it impractical to manually, systematically identify papers containing specific information and extract this information. This is especially challenging when the information itself resides beyond titles or abstracts. For emerging science, with a limited set of known papers of interest and an incomplete information model, this is of pressing concern. A timely example in retrospect is the identification of immune signatures (coherent sets of biomarkers) driving differential SARS-CoV-2 infection outcomes. Implementation: We built a classifier to identify papers containing domain-specific information from the document embeddings of the title and abstract. To train this classifier with limited data, we developed an iterative process leveraging pre-trained SPECTER document embeddings, SVM classifiers and web-enabled expert review to iteratively augment the training set. This training set was then used to create a classifier to identify papers containing domain-specific information. Finally, information was extracted from these papers through a semi-automated system that directly solicited the paper authors to respond via a web-based form. Results: We demonstrate a classifier that retrieves papers with human COVID-19 immune signatures with a positive predictive value of 86%. The type of immune signature (e.g., gene expression vs. other types of profiling) was also identified with a positive predictive value of 74%. Semi-automated queries to the corresponding authors of these publications requesting signature information achieved a 31% response rate. Conclusions: Our results demonstrate the efficacy of using a SVM classifier with document embeddings of the title and abstract, to retrieve papers with domain-specific information, even when that information is rarely present in the abstract. Targeted author engagement based on classifier predictions offers a promising pathway to build a semi-structured representation of such information. Short texts generated by individuals in online environments can provide social and behavioral scientists with rich insights into these individuals' internal states. Trained manual coders can reliably interpret expressions of such internal states in text. However, manual coding imposes restrictions on the number of texts that can be analyzed, limiting our ability to extract insights from large-scale textual data. We evaluate the performance of several automatic text analysis methods in approximating trained human coders' evaluations across four coding tasks encompassing expressions of motives, norms, emotions, and stances. Our findings suggest that commonly used dictionaries, although performing well in identifying infrequent categories, generate false positives too frequently compared to other methods. We show that large language models trained on manually coded data yield the highest performance across all case studies. However, there are also instances where simpler methods show almost equal performance. Additionally, we evaluate the effectiveness of cutting-edge generative language models like GPT-4 in coding texts for internal states with the help of short instructions (so-called zero-shot classification). While promising, these models fall short of the performance of models trained on manually analyzed data. We discuss the strengths and weaknesses of various models and explore the trade-offs between model complexity and performance in different applications. The growing number of scientific papers and document sources underscores the need for methods capable of evaluating the quality of publications. Researchers who are looking for relevant papers for their studies need ways to assess the scientific value of these documents. One approach involves using semantic search engines that can automatically extract important knowledge from the growing body of text. In this study, we introduce a new metric called "MAATrica," which serves as the foundation for an innovative method designed to evaluate research papers. MAATrica offers a new way to analyze and categorize text, focusing on the consistency of research documents in the life sciences, particularly in the fields of medicinal and nutraceutical chemistry. This method utilizes semantic descriptions to cover in silico experiments, as well as in vitro and in vivo essays. Created to aid in evaluation processes like peer review, MAATrica uses toolkits and semantic applications to build the proposed measure, identify scientific entities, and gather information. We have applied MAATrica to roughly 90,000 papers and present our findings here. This research evaluates a number of hybrid recurrent neural network (RNN) architectures for classifying sequential sentences in biomedical abstracts. The architectures include long short-term memory (LSTM), bidirectional LSTM (BI-LSTM), gated recurrent unit (GRU), and bidirectional GRU (BIGRU) models, all of which are combined with the universal sentence encoder (USE). The investigation assesses their efficacy in categorizing sentences into predefined classes: background, objective, method, result, and conclusion. Each RNN variant is used with the pre-trained USE as word embeddings to find complex sequential relationships in biomedical text. Results demonstrate the adaptability and effectiveness of these hybrid architectures in discerning diverse sentence functions. This research addresses the need for improved literature comprehension in biomedicine by employing automated sentence classification techniques, highlighting the significance of advanced hybrid algorithms in enhancing text classification methodologies within biomedical research. Issues of the environmental crisis are being addressed by researchers, government, and organizations alike. GHRM is one such field that is receiving lots of research focus since it is targeted at greening the firms and making them eco-friendly. This research reviews 317 articles from the Scopus database published on green human resource management (GHRM) from 2008 to 2021. The study applies text mining, latent semantic analysis (LSA), and network analysis to explore the trends in the research field in GHRM and establish the relationship between the quantitative and qualitative literature of GHRM. The study has been carried out using KNIME and VOSviewer tools. As a result, the research identifies five recent research trends in GHRM using K-mean clustering. Future researchers can work upon these identified trends to solve environmental issues, make the environment eco-friendly, and motivate firms to implement GHRM in their practices., (© 2022. The novel coronavirus disease — COVID-19 is a historic catastrophe that has caused many devastating impacts on human life and wellness. Researchers in academia and industry strive to understand the causes of this pandemic disease and find new therapeutics combating it. Consequently, the number of COVID-19 related publications increases rapidly, and it is too difficult for medical researchers and practitioners to keep up with the latest research and development. Literature filtering and categorization, and knowledge discovery can use text mining as a powerful tool. In this paper, we propose a text mining method to explore the categories of COVID-19 related themes and identify the standard methodologies that have been used. We discuss the potential limitations of this preliminary study and present future perspectives related to COVID-19 research. This paper provides an quantitative and qualitative mixed analysis example of using some research papers by data mining method to dig out several hidden information and set up a foundation for data scientists to develop more effective algorithms to deal with COVID-19 related problems. This paper introduces CORE, a widely used scholarly service, which provides access to the world's largest collection of open access research publications, acquired from a global network of repositories and journals. CORE was created with the goal of enabling text and data mining of scientific literature and thus supporting scientific discovery, but it is now used in a wide range of use cases within higher education, industry, not-for-profit organisations, as well as by the general public. Through the provided services, CORE powers innovative use cases, such as plagiarism detection, in market-leading third-party organisations. CORE has played a pivotal role in the global move towards universal open access by making scientific knowledge more easily and freely discoverable. In this paper, we describe CORE's continuously growing dataset and the motivation behind its creation, present the challenges associated with systematically gathering research papers from thousands of data providers worldwide at scale, and introduce the novel solutions that were developed to overcome these challenges. The paper then provides an in-depth discussion of the services and tools built on top of the aggregated data and finally examines several use cases that have leveraged the CORE dataset and services. Automated Milking Systems (AMS) have undergone significant evolution over the past 30 yr, and their adoption continues to increase, as evidenced by the growing scientific literature. These systems offer advantages such as a reduced milking workload and increased milk yield per cow. However, given concerns about the welfare of farmed animals, studying the effects of AMS on the health and welfare of animals becomes crucial for the overall sustainability of the dairy sector. In the last few years, some analysis conducted through text mining (TM) and topic analysis (TA) approaches have become increasingly widespread in the livestock sector. The aim of the study was to analyze the scientific literature on the impact of AMS on dairy cow health, welfare, and behavior: the paper aimed to produce a comprehensive analysis on this topic using TM and TA approaches. After a preprocessing phase, a dataset of 427 documents was analyzed. The abstracts of the selected papers were analyzed by TM and a TA using Software R 4.3.1. A Term Frequency-Inverse Document Frequency (TFIDF) technique was used to assign a relative weight to each term. According to the results of the TM, the ten most important terms, both words and roots, were feed, farm, teat, concentr, mastiti, group, SCC (somatic cell count), herd, lame and pasture. The 10 most important terms showed TFIDF values greater than 3.5, with feed showing a value of TFIDF of 5.43 and pasture of 3.66. Eight topics were selected with TA, namely: 1) Cow traffic and time budget, 2) Farm management, 3) Udder health, 4) Comparison with conventional milking, 5) Milk production, 6) Analysis of AMS data, 7) Disease detection, 8) Feeding management. Over the years, the focus of documents has shifted from cow traffic, udder health and cow feeding to the analysis of data recorded by the robot to monitor animal conditions and welfare and promptly identify the onset of stress or diseases. The analysis reveals the complex nature of the relationship between AMS and animal welfare, health, and behavior: on one hand, the robot offers interesting opportunities to safeguard animal welfare and health, especially for the possibility of early identification of anomalous conditions using sensors and data; on the other hand, it poses potential risks, which requires further investigations. Named entity recognition (NER) is a fundamental task of information extraction (IE), and it has attracted considerable research attention in recent years. The abundant annotated English NER datasets have significantly promoted the NER research in the English field. By contrast, much fewer efforts are made to the Chinese NER research, especially in the scientific domain, due to the scarcity of Chinese NER datasets. To alleviate this problem, we present a Chinese scientific NER dataset--SciCN, which contains entity annotations of titles and abstracts derived from 3,500 scientific papers. We manually annotate a total of 62,059 entities, and these entities are classified into six types. Compared to English scientific NER datasets, SciCN has a larger scale and is more diverse, for it not only contains more paper abstracts but these abstracts are derived from more research fields. To investigate the properties of SciCN and provide baselines for future research, we adapt a number of previous state-of-the-art Chinese NER models to evaluate SciCN. Experimental results show that SciCN is more challenging than other Chinese NER datasets. In addition, previous studies have proven the effectiveness of using lexicons to enhance Chinese NER models. Motivated by this fact, we provide a scientific domain-specific lexicon. Validation results demonstrate that our lexicon delivers better performance gains than lexicons of other domains. We hope that the SciCN dataset and the lexicon will enable us to benchmark the NER task regarding the Chinese scientific domain and make progress for future research. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Breakthrough research may signal shifts in science, technology, and innovation systems. Early identification of breakthrough research is important not only for scientists, but also for policy makers and R&D experts in developing R&D strategies and allocating R&D resources. Researchers mostly use scientific papers data to identify potential breakthrough research, but they rarely make use of Twitter data related to scientific research and machine learning methods. Analysis of Twitter data is of great significance for us to understand the public's perception of potential breakthrough research and to identify potential breakthrough research. Machine learning methods can assist us in predicting the trend of events by utilizing prior knowledge and experience. Therefore, this paper proposes a framework for identifying potential breakthrough research using machine learning methods with scientific papers and Twitter data. We select solar cells as a case study to verify the valid and flexible of this framework. In this case, we use machine learning method to discover potential breakthrough research from scientific papers, and we use Twitter data mining to analyze Twitter users' sense of and response to the discovered potential breakthrough research, which aims to achieve a more extensive and diverse assessment of the discovered potential breakthrough research. This paper contributes to identifying potential breakthrough research, as well as understanding the emergence and development of breakthrough research. Biomaterials research output has experienced an exponential increase over the last three decades. The majority of research is published in the form of scientific articles and is therefore available as unstructured text, making it a challenging input for computational processing. Computational tools are becoming essential to overcome this information overload. Among them, text mining systems present an attractive option for the automated extraction of information from text documents into structured datasets. This work presents the first automated system for biomaterial related information extraction from the National Library of Medicine's premier bibliographic database (MEDLINE) research abstracts into a searchable database. The system is a text mining pipeline that periodically retrieves abstracts from PubMed and identifies research and clinical studies of biomaterials. Thereafter, the pipeline identifies sixteen concept types of interest in the abstract using the Biomaterials Annotator, a tool for biomaterials Named Entity Recognition (NER). These concepts of interest, along with the abstract and relevant metadata are then deposited in DEBBIE, the Database of Experimental Biomaterials and their Biological Effect. Background: Increasingly, patient medication adherence data are being consolidated from claims databases and electronic health records (EHRs). Such databases offer an indirect avenue to gauge medication adherence in our data-rich healthcare milieu. The surge in data accessibility, coupled with the pressing need for its conversion to actionable insights, has spotlighted data mining, with machine learning (ML) emerging as a pivotal technique. Nonadherence poses heightened health risks and escalates medical costs. This paper elucidates the synergistic interaction between medical database mining for medication adherence and the role of ML in fostering knowledge discovery., Methods: We conducted a comprehensive review of EHR applications in the realm of medication adherence, leveraging ML techniques. We expounded on the evolution and structure of medical databases pertinent to medication adherence and harnessed both supervised and unsupervised ML paradigms to delve into adherence and its ramifications., Results: Our study underscores the applications of medical databases and ML, encompassing both supervised and unsupervised learning, for medication adherence in clinical big data. Databases like SEER and NHANES, often underutilized due to their intricacies, have gained prominence. Employing ML to excavate patient medication logs from these databases facilitates adherence analysis. The fact-condition statement plays a significant role in the geological papers, where geological theory or phenomenon as a fact is constrained by its precondition. This constraint relation conveys a lot of key information in geological papers, but it has been ignored in most of studies on the information extraction. Although the rule-based algorithms have been proposed in the previous studies to extract the relationship between facts and conditions, but their low accuracy limit usability. Therefore, this paper introduces a series of mechanisms and methods to improve the extraction accuracy. We firstly utilize three kinds of pooling for extracting the semantic features of fact-condition tuples to find that balanced semantic representations can more accurately reflect their relations. In addition, semantic correlation between facts and conditions is also designed to mine their relations via the measurement of semantic similarity or semantic distance. Based on the above, the Deep Structured Semantic Model with Multi-Grained Representation (MGR-DSSM) is proposed. In this model, the Deep Structured Semantic Model (DSSM) is utilized two individual projections for denoising semantic correlation between facts and conditions, while the Multi-Grained Representation (MGR) is designed for encoding their semantic correlation at multiple granularities. Furthermore, the linear MGR-DSSM with SciBERT achieves the best result with 70.41% of accuracy and 74.55% of F1 score, obviously outperforming other baseline models. Finally, the linear MGR-DSSM with SciBERT is adopted to extract super relation from 722 geological paper abstracts, and the geological knowledge graph with fact-condition statement is built. With more accurate relation between fact and condition, the information validity of geological knowledge graph is enhanced. • The relation between facts and conditions play an essential role in the geological paper, the extraction of which is studied for the first time. • A series of mechanisms are proposed to improve the accuracy of fact-condition relation extraction. • The MGR-DSSM is proposed, which obviously outperforms other baselines in super relation extraction. Citations are references used by researchers to recognize the contributions of researchers in their articles. Citations can be used to discover hidden patterns in the research domain, and can also be used to perform various analyses in data mining. Citation analysis is a quantitative method to identify knowledge dissemination and influence papers in any research area. Citation analysis involves multiple techniques. One of the most commonly used techniques is Main Path Analysis (MPA). According to the specific use of MPA, it has evolved into various variants. Currently, MPA is carried out in different domains, but deep learning in the field of remote sensing has not yet been considered. In this paper, we have used three centrality attributes which are Degree, Betweenness and Closeness centrality to automatically identify important papers by applying clustering method based on machine learning (i.e., K-means). In addition, the main path is drawn from important papers and compared with existing manual methods. In order to conduct experiments, a data set from Web of Science (WOS) has been established, which contains 538 papers in the field of deep learning. Research classification is an important aspect of conducting research projects because it allows researchers to efficiently identify papers that are in line with the latest research in each field and relevant to projects. There are different approaches to the classification of research papers, such as subject-based, methodology-based, text-based, and machine learning-based. Each approach has its advantages and disadvantages, and the choice of classification method depends on the specific research question and available data. The classification of scientific literature helps to better organize and structure the vast amount of information and knowledge generated in scientific research. It enables researchers and other interested parties to access relevant information in a fast and efficient manner. Classification methods allow easier and more accurate extraction of scientific knowledge to be used as a basis for scientific research in each subject area. In this regard, this paper aims to propose a research classification model using data mining methods and techniques. To test the model, we selected scientific articles on digital workplace accessibility for the disabled retrieved from Scopus and Web of Science repositories.
