Ascorbic acid (AsA) is an indicator of the nutritional value of freshly cut kiwifruit during storage at 4℃, and its degradation can be inhibited after ozone treatment (1 mg/L, 10 min). The aim of this study was to elucidate the regulatory mechanism affecting AsA metabolism in fresh-cut kiwifruit after ozone treatment. In this study, ozone treatment not only prevented the decrease in AsA/dehydroascorbic acid and delayed the accumulation of total soluble solids/titratable acidity, but also altered phytohormone levels differently. Transcriptomic profiling combined with cis-acting element and correlation analysis were performed to reveal that abscisic acid and salicylic acid synergistically delay AsA degradation under ozone-treatment conditions. Actinidia03760, encoding ascorbate peroxidase, could be specifically recognized by the bZIP transcription factor and is considered a key candidate gene for further research. WRKY transcription factors are essential for coping with various biotic stresses. Pseudomonas syringae pv. actinidiae (Psa)-induced kiwifruit canker is a major problem restricting kiwifruit yield. Nevertheless, it's unclear how the kiwifruit WRKY genes respond to Psa. Through genome-wide identification, 112 WRKY members were found in 'Hongyang' genome in this work. Promoter analysis revealed that there were many cis-acting elements associated with stress responses in the AcWRKY gene's promoter region. According to transcriptomic analysis, 90 of the AcWRKY genes were differently expressed following Psa, salicylic acid (SA), or methyl jasmonate (MeJA) treatments. Almost all group III WRKYs were responsive to at least one of these treatments, with tissue-specific expression patterns. Quantitative RT-PCR study provided more evidence that Psa and SA treatments significantly induced the expression of the group III WRKY gene AcWRKY94, whereas MeJA treatment repressed it. AcWRKY94 was a transcriptionally active protein localized in the nucleus. Transient overexpression of AcWRKY94 in the leaves of 'Hongyang' enhanced the resistance of kiwifruit to Psa. Overexpression of AcWRKY94 in kiwifruit callus remarkably promoted the expression of PR and JAZ genes associated with SA and JA signals, respectively. These data imply that AcWRKY94 controls the signaling pathway dependent on SA and JA, thereby enhancing resistance to Psa. As the third active gas signal molecule in plants, hydrogen sulfide (H 2 S) plays important roles in physiological metabolisms and biological process of fruits and vegetables during postharvest storage. In the present study, the effects of H 2 S on enhancing resistance against soft rot caused by Botryosphaeria dothidea and the involvement of jasmonic acid (JA) signaling pathway in kiwifruit during the storage were investigated. The results showed that 20 μL L -1 H 2 S fumigation restrained the disease incidence of B. dothidea-inoculated kiwifruit during storage, and delayed the decrease of firmness and the increase of soluble solids (SSC) content. H 2 S treatment increased the transcription levels of genes related to JA biosynthesis (AcLOX3, AcAOS, AcAOC2, and AcOPR) and signaling pathway (AcCOI1, AcJAZ5, AcMYC2, and AcERF1), as well as the JA accumulation. Meanwhile, H 2 S promoted the expression of defense-related genes (AcPPO, AcSOD, AcGLU, AcCHI, AcAPX, and AcCAT). Correlation analysis revealed that JA content was positively correlated with the expression levels of JA biosynthesis and defense-related genes. Background: Actinidia arguta leaves (AAL) are traditionally consumed as a vegetable and as tea in folk China and Korea. Previous studies have reported the anti-diabetic effect of AAL, but its bioactive components and mechanism of action are still unclear., Aim of the Study: This study aims to identify the hypoglycemic active components of AAL by combining serum pharmacochemistry and network pharmacology and to elucidate its possible mechanism of action., Methods: Firstly, the effective components in mice serum samples were characterized by UPLC-Q/TOF-MS E . Furthermore, based on these active ingredients, network pharmacology analysis was performed to establish an "H-C-T-P-D" interaction network and reveal possible biological mechanisms. Finally, the affinity between serum AAL components and the main proteins in the important pathways above was investigated through molecular docking analysis., Results: Serum pharmacochemistry analysis showed that 69 compounds in the serum samples were identified, including 23 prototypes and 46 metabolites. The metabolic reactions mainly included deglycosylation, dehydration, hydrogenation, methylation, acetylation, glucuronidation, and sulfation. Network pharmacology analysis showed that the key components quercetin, pinoresinol diglucoside, and 5-O-trans-p-coumaroyl quinic acid butyl ester mainly acted on the core targets PTGS2, HRAS, RELA, PRKCA, and BCL2 targets and through the PI3K-Akt signaling pathway, endocrine resistance, and MAPK signaling pathway to exert a hypoglycemic effect. The influence of endophytic microbial community on plant growth and disease resistance is of considerable importance. Prior research indicates that pre-treatment of kiwifruit with the biocontrol yeast Debaryomyces hansenii suppresses gray mold disease induced by Botrytis cinerea. However, the specific underlying mechanisms remain unclear. In this study, Metagenomic sequencing was utilized to analyze the composition of the endophytic microbiome of kiwifruit under three distinct conditions: the healthy state, kiwifruit inoculated with B. cinerea, and kiwifruit treated with D. hansenii prior to inoculation with B. cinerea. Results revealed a dominance of Proteobacteria in all treatment groups, accompanied by a notable increase in the relative abundance of Actinobacteria and Firmicutes. Ascomycota emerged as the major dominant group within the fungal community. Treatment with D. hansenii induced significant alterations in microbial community diversity, specifically enhancing the relative abundance of yeast and exerting an inhibitory effect on B. cinerea. The introduction of D. hansenii also enriched genes associated with energy metabolism and signal transduction, positively influencing the overall structure and function of the microbial community. A biochar (KBC) enriched with O functional groups was prepared by torrefaction using lignin-rich kiwifruit branches (KBM) as a raw material, which was characterized, and then KBC was used to adsorb hexavalent chromium (Cr 6+ ) from water. The results showed that KBC contained more functional groups compared to KBM. The maximum adsorption of Cr 6+ by KBC could reach 143.64 mg·g -1 and also had better adsorption performance than other adsorbents reported in some other reports. Cr 6+ absorption by KBC was mainly a mechanism of electrostatic interaction and adsorption-reduction coupling. FTIR and XPS revealed that -OH, -COOH, CO and CC on KBC participated in Cr 6+ adsorption and new groups (C=O) were generated during the process of adsorption, which implied that a redox reaction occurred. 2D-COS and DFT calculations showed that the order of functional groups on KBC interacting with Cr 6+ was -OCH 3  > -COOH > -OH > phenolic hydroxyl, and the binding tightness of the different functional groups to Cr 6+ was -OCH 3 (the shortest displacement of both groups after the adsorption) > -COOH > -OH > phenolic hydroxyl. In this paper, our objective was to investigate the potential mechanisms of Actinidia chinensis Planch (ACP) for breast cancer treatment with the application of network pharmacology, molecular docking, and molecular dynamics. "Mihoutaogen" was used as a key word to query the Traditional Chinese Medicine Systems Pharmacology database for putative ingredients of ACP and its related targets. DrugBank, GeneCards, Online Mendelian Inheritance in Man, and therapeutic target databases were used to search for genes associated with "breast cancer." Using Cytoscape 3.9.0 we then constructed the protein-protein interaction and drug-ingredient-target-disease networks. An enrichment analysis of Kyoto encyclopedia of genes and genomes pathway and gene ontology were performed to exploration of the signaling pathways associated with ACP for breast cancer treatment. Discovery Studio software was applied to molecular docking. Finally, the ligand-receptor complex was subjected to a 50-ns molecular dynamics simulation using the Desmond_2020.4 tools. Six main active ingredients and 176 targets of ACP and 2243 targets of breast cancer were screened. There were 118 intersections of targets for both active ingredients and diseases. Tumor protein P53 (TP53), AKT serine/threonine kinase 1 (AKT1), estrogen receptor 1 (ESR1), Erb-B2 receptor tyrosine kinase 2 (ERBB2), epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR), Jun Proto-Oncogene (JUN), and Heat Shock Protein 90 Alpha Family Class A Member 1 (HSP90AA1) selected as the most important genes were used for verification by molecular docking and molecular dynamics simulation. Forchlorfenuron (1-(2-chloropyridin-4-yl)-3-phenylurea, CPPU) and thidiazuron (N-Phenyl-N'-1,2,3-thiadiazol-5-ylurea, TDZ) are two widely used plant growth regulators in kiwifruit cultivation. They can promote fruit size, but it is unclear whether they have same effect on internal qualities, optical properties and cell structure of kiwifruit, and whether the kiwifruits treated with CPPU and TDZ can be identified based on optical properties. To answer these questions, the kiwifruits treated with 20 mg/L CPPU and 2 mg/L TDZ solutions were used as samples, and the untreated kiwifruits were used as control to investigate the optical properties (absorption coefficient μ a and reduced scattering coefficient μ s '), internal qualities (soluble solids content (SSC), firmness and moisture content) and microstructure of pulp tissue during the growth. Moreover, the relationship between the optical properties and internal qualities were analyzed, and the potential for identifying the kiwifruits treated with CPPU and TDZ based on optical properties was evaluated. The results showed that CPPU and TDZ increased the SSC and reduced the firmness of kiwifruits, but had some different effects on the moisture content and cell size. CPPU and TDZ did not influence the change trend of μ a and μ s ' with wavelength, but affected their values and the relationship with internal qualities. In general, the mean μ a of the kiwifruits treated with CPPU and with TDZ was the largest and the smallest at the absorption peaks (980 nm, 1190 nm and 1420 nm), respectively. High temperature is an environmental stressor that severely threatens plant growth, development, and yield. In this study, we obtained a kiwifruit mutant (MT) of 'Hongyang' (WT) through 60 Co-γ irradiation. The MT possessed different leaf morphology and displayed prominently elevated heat tolerance compared to the WT genotype. When exposure to heat stress, the MT plants exhibited stabler photosynthetic capacity and accumulated less reactive oxygen species, along with enhanced antioxidant capacity and higher expression levels of related genes in comparison with the WT plants. Moreover, global transcriptome profiling indicated that an induction in genes related to stress-responsive, phytohormone signaling, and transcriptional regulatory pathways, which might contribute to the upgrade of thermotolerance in the MT genotype. Collectively, the significantly enhanced thermotolerance of MT might be mainly attributed to profitable leaf structure variations, improved photosynthetic and antioxidant capacities, as well as extensive transcriptome reprogram. Kiwifruit (Actinidia spp.) is a commercially important horticultural fruit crop worldwide. Kiwifruit contains numerous minerals, vitamins, and dietary phytochemicals, that not only responsible for the flavor but can also serve as adjuncts in the treatment of diabetes, digestive disorders, cardiovascular system, cancer and heart disease. However, fruit quality and shelf life affect consumer's acceptance and production chain. Understanding the methods of fruit storage preservation, as well as their biochemical, physiological, and molecular basis is essential. In recent years, eco-friendly (comprehensive and environmentally friendly) treatments such as hot water, ozone, chitosan, quercetin, and antifungal additive from biocontrol bacteria or yeast have been applied to improve postharvest fruit quality with longer shelf life. This review provides a comprehensive overview of the latest advancements in control measures, applications, and mechanisms related to water loss, chilling injury, and pathogen diseases in postharvest kiwifruit. Ethnopharmacological Relevance: Actinidia Lindl. belongs to the family Actinidiaceae. Plants of this genus are popularly known as kiwifruits and are traditionally used to treat a wide range of ailments associated with digestive disorders, rheumatism, kidney problems, cardiovascular system, cancers, dyspepsia, hemorrhoids, and diabetes among others., Aim: This review discusses the ethnobotanical uses, phytochemical profile, and known pharmacological properties of Actinidia plants, to understand their connotations and provide the scientific basis for future studies., Materials and Methods: The data were obtained by surveying journal articles, books, and dissertations using various search engines such as Google Scholar, PubMed, Science Direct, Springer Link, and Web of Science. The online databases; World Flora Online, Plants of the World Online, International Plant Names Index, and Global Biodiversity Information Facility were used to confirm the distribution and validate scientific names of Actinidia plants. The isolated metabolites from these species were illustrated using ChemBio Draw ultra-version 14.0 software., Results: Ten (10) species of Actinidia genus have been reported as significant sources of traditional medicines utilized to remedy diverse illnesses. Our findings revealed that a total of 873 secondary metabolites belonging to different classes such as terpenoids, phenolic compounds, alcohols, ketones, organic acids, esters, hydrocarbons, and steroids have been isolated from different species of Actinidia. These compounds were mainly related to the exhibited antioxidant, antimicrobial, anti-inflammatory, antidiabetic, antiproliferative, anti-angiogenic, anticinoceptive, anti-tumor, and anticancer activities., Conclusion: This study assessed the information related to the ethnobotanical uses, phytochemical compounds, and pharmacological properties of Actinidia species, which indicate that they possess diverse bioactive metabolites with interesting bioactivities. Actinidia plants have great potential for applications in folklore medicines and pharmaceuticals due to their wide ethnomedicinal uses and biological activities. Traditional uses of several Actinidia species are supported by scientific evidences, qualifying them as possible modern remedies for various ailments. Nonetheless, the currently available data has several gaps in understanding the herbal utilization of most Actinidia species. In recent years, there has been a significant demand for natural products as a mean of disease prevention or as an alternative to conventional medications. The driving force for this change is the growing recognition of the abundant presence of valuable bioactive compounds in natural products. On recent years Actinia arguta fruit, also known as kiwiberry, has attracted a lot of attention from scientific community due to its richness in bioactive compounds, including phenolic compounds, organic acids, vitamins, carotenoids and fiber. These bioactive compounds contribute to the fruit's diverse outstanding biological activities such as antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, neuroprotective, immunomodulatory, and anti-cancer properties. Due to these properties, the fruit may have the potential to be used in the treatment/prevention of various types of cancer, including glioblastoma. Glioblastoma is the most aggressive form of brain cancer, displaying 90 % of recurrence rate within a span of 2 years. Despite the employment of an aggressive approach, the prognosis remains unfavorable, emphasizing the urgent requirement for the development of new effective treatments. The preclinical evidence suggests that kiwiberry has potential impact on glioblastoma by reducing the cancer self-renewal, modulating the signaling pathways involved in the regulation of the cell phenotype and metabolism, and influencing the consolidation of the tumor microenvironment. Even though, challenges such as the imprecise composition and concentration of bioactive compounds, and its low bioavailability after oral administration may be drawbacks to the development of kiwiberry-based treatments, being urgent to ensure the safety and efficacy of kiwiberry for the prevention and treatment of glioblastoma. Research into variations between kiwifruit varieties particularly their softening quality during storage is important in improving kiwifruit quality. The potential reasons for ripening quality differences between 'Cuixiang' (CX) and 'Hayward' (HWD) kiwifruit were analyzed by physiology and metabolomic data combined with the random forests learning algorithm. The results showed that the storability difference between the two varieties mainly resulted from differences in polygalacturonase (PG) and β-galactosidase activities. The 1 °C slowed the fruit softening process of both varieties by decreasing their PG activities. A total of 368 metabolites were identified and amino acid, carbohydrate, cofactors and vitamins, as well as nucleotide metabolism are key metabolic modules that affect the ripening differences of CX and HWD kiwifruit. A total of 30 metabolites showed remarkable ability in distinguish the ripening quality of CX and HWD kiwifruit, in which d-glucose, d-maltose, 2-hydroxybutyric acid, phenyllactate, and vitamin B2 were noteworthy for their potential application on the evaluation of kiwifruit taste and nutritional value. Under global warming and climate change (CC), the vulnerable piece of land is India's Eastern-Himalayan-Region (EHR), where millions' livelihood activities are at risk. Quantifying the degree of CC-induced vulnerability over the highly climate-sensitive mountain zone is challenging due to data inadequacy. This paper attempted to assess the CC perception of kiwifruit growers under EHR and the impact of CC on its cultivation. Perceived and scientific data were used for accurate decision-support information. The climatic variables of two locations were analyzed for trend using Mann–Kendall's test. Results suggested that the rainfall trend was found non-significant for both locations, but there was a negative trend during winter for Pasighat and during all seasons for Itanagar. Maximum temperature exhibited an increasing trend for annual, and minimum temperature showed an increasing trend across seasons for the Pasighat region. For the Itanagar region, the maximum temperature was found to have a significantly increasing trend in all seasons, while the minimum temperature showed an increasing trend during winter and annual seasons. Morning relative humidity showed an increasing trend for annual data for Pasighat, while annual evening relative humidity was significantly increased for Itanagar. The study shows that the indigenous farming communities were following shifting cultivation and diversifying their traditional agriculture to kiwifruit cultivation as an adaptation strategy. The community had a clear perception of CC trends and an inadequate perception of the impact on agriculture, therefore, engaging indigenous communities and other stakeholders to postulate a comprehensive adaptation and mitigation strategy for CC. As differences in seed dormancy between Actinidia species have not been reported previously, in this study we characterized the variation in the dormancy of seeds in 13 kiwifruit species that originated from different regions of China and Taiwan, and for which mature plants are now growing in New Zealand orchards. Dormancy-breaking treatments, including cold-moist stratification, seed coat scarification and soaking in water and gibberellic acid (GA3), were tested for their efficacy in alleviating dormancy and improving final germination and germination rates. In addition, we assessed seed viability using RNA integrity analysis to distinguish dead seeds from dormant seeds. This study identified that dormancy type in Actinidia seeds is species-specific and can be morphological, morphophysiological or a combination of physiological and physical, and that seed RNA integrity is a useful metric to incorporate into seed dormancy studies. Our results also suggest that species originating from colder climates that experience large differences between winter minimum and summer maximum temperatures exhibit physiological dormancy and require cold-moist stratification, contrasting with species originating in milder climates. Interestingly, although not all seeds from all the species were dormant, the proportion of dormant seeds in each species did not correlate to the climatic data of the region from which they originated. This manuscript reports the application of sensors for water use efficiency with a focus on the application of an in vivo OECT biosensor. In two distinct experimental trials, the in vivo sensor bioristor was applied in yellow kiwi plants to monitor, in real-time and continuously, the changes in the composition and concentration of the plant sap in an open field during plant growth and development. The bioristor response and physiological data, together with other fruit sensor monitoring data, were acquired and combined in both trials, giving a complete picture of the biosphere conditions. A high correlation was observed between the bioristor index (ΔIgs), the canopy cover expressed as the fraction of intercepted PAR (fi_PAR), and the soil water content (SWC). In addition, the bioristor was confirmed to be a good proxy for the occurrence of drought in kiwi plants; in fact, a period of drought stress was identified within the month of July. A novelty of the bioristor measurements was their ability to detect in advance the occurrence of defoliation, thereby reducing yield and quality losses. A plant-based irrigation protocol can be achieved and tailored based on real plant needs, increasing water use sustainability and preserving high-quality standards. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The preparation of metallic nanoparticles using green synthetic approaches and its application toward the efficient degradation of environmentally hazardous dyes constitutes an attractive alternative to currently employed methods. In the current report, the green synthesis of silver nanoparticles (AgNPs) was successfully achieved using Actinidia deliciosa (kiwifruit) peel aqueous extract as a bioreducing agent under optimized synthesis conditions. The experimental parameters were optimized in terms of reactant ratio, reaction temperature, and reaction time. The biogenic nanoparticles exhibited SPR absorption band at λmax 480 nm. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) and scanning electron microscopy (SEM) images revealed quasispherical monodisperse nanoparticles which were 36 nm in diameter. The hydrodynamic diameter of the nanoparticles was 106 nm as determined by dynamic light scattering, and the highly negative ζ-potential (−34 mV) supported its superior colloidal stability. Energy dispersive X-ray confirmed that silver is a major constituent of the nanoparticles. X-ray diffraction (XRD) diffractograms confirmed the crystallinity of the nanoparticles and its face-centered cubic (fcc) lattice structure. The functional groups in the plant's phytochemicals facilitating the reduction of Ag+ ions and stabilization of the formed AgNPs were identified by fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy. In specific, the bands in the FTIR spectra at 3,412, 1,618, 1,419, and 1,237 cm−1 suggested the presence of phenolic compounds. Phytochemical analysis by colorimetric assays revealed that the kiwifruit peel extract was rich in phenolic compounds. When evaluated in the catalytic degradation of organic dyes, the biosynthesized AgNPs induced instant and complete discoloration of the methylene blue dye when 1.6 mg of nanoparticles was used. At a lower dose of AgNPs (0.4 mg), 80% degradation of the dye occurred after 3 hr of treatment. The degradation reaction followed second-order kinetics with a rate constant of 0.01083 mM−1s−1. The current study highlights the immense potential of the prepared nanoparticles as efficient catalysts for the degradation of hazardous organic dyes such as methylene blue and presents an intriguing argument for investigating the catalytic efficiency of the biogenic AgNPs for the degradation of other structurally different dye pollutants. A series of experiments were carried out to develop a phytosanitary disinfestation protocol to kill Ceratitis capitata (Weidemann) (Mediterranean fruit fly, Diptera: Tephritidae) in 'Hayward' kiwifruit (Actinidia deliciosa (A. Chev.) C.F. Liang and A.R. Ferguson) and 'Zesy002' kiwifruit (Actinidia chinensis Planch.). Experiments on 4 immature life stages (eggs and 3 larval instars) with treatment durations of between 5 and 18 days showed that third instars were the most tolerant to temperatures around 3 °C, with the lethal time to 99.9968% (probit 9) mortality (LT99.9968) estimated to be 17.3 days (95% confidence interval (CI) 16.4–18.2). Larvae reared and treated in 'Zesy002' were significantly more susceptible to cold treatment than those reared in 'Hayward'. A large-scale trial testing a disinfestation protocol of 3 ± 0.5 °C for 18 days treated over 500,000 third-instar C. capitata with no survivors. These results demonstrate that a cold treatment of 3.5 °C or below for 18 days induces C. capitata mortality in kiwifruit at a rate that exceeds 99.9968% with a degree of confidence greater than 99%. The electrophysiological and behavioural responses of Anomala dimidiata (Coleoptera: Rutelinae) were studied for its host kiwi plant's (Actinidia deliciosa) three volatiles, (Z)-3-Hexen-1-ol, Linalool, and (-)-α-Pinene. This experiment comprises electroantennographic assay using EAG and field testing in the Kiwi Horticulture field using synthetic compounds. In EAG assays, all three test compounds elicit significant responses with 55.66± 3.41% for (Z)-3-Hexen-1-ol, 44.97± 1.08% for Linalool, and 53.75± 0.33% for (-)-α-Pinene in male beetles and 54.82± 3.52% for (Z)-3-Hexen-1-ol, 44.97± 0.30% for Linalool and 53.75± 4.69% for (-)-α-Pinene in females beetles as compare to reference compound. In the field testing, (Z)-3-Hexen-1-ol baited traps caught maximum beetles while (-)-α-Pinene-baited traps had significantly less number of beetles attracted to them. Linalool-baited traps caught 60.1% fewer beetles than (Z)-3- Hexen-1-ol baited traps but 62.7% more beetles than (-)-α-Pinene-baited traps. The presence, distribution, and morphology of calcium oxalate (CaC2O4, CaOx) crystals were observed in the stunted bodies of Actinidia arguta (A. arguta) vines, and their ability of microorganisms to degrade CaOx crystals was analyzed. Leaves, branches, and roots of stunted A. arguta vines were collected. In the roots, CaOx crystal bundles were distributed in the form of dotted lines. In the branches, CaOx crystal bundles were observed blocking and accumulating in the vessels. In the leaves, CaOx crystal bundles were observed in a net-like entanglement. Therefore, CaOx crystals present in the roots, branches, and leaves hinder the growth. A hydroponic cultivation with different calcium (Ca) concentrations showed that the growth of A. arguta was best at a Ca concentration of 1 cmol+/kg; at a Ca concentration of 2 cmol+/kg, the edges of the leaves began to dry out after 7 days; and at a Ca concentration of 4 cmol+/kg, the entire leaves died within 14 days. From this study, it was concluded that CaOx crystals hindered the growth of A. arguta, and the Acinetobacter calcoaceticus (A. calcoaceticus) strain was effective in degrading CaOx crystals. Aim: The aim of the current research is the evaluation of immunomodulatory and anti-asthmatic activity of Actinidia deliciosa on Swiss albino mice by using a number of experimental models. Materials and Methods: The immunomodulatory and anti-asthmatic activity of Actinidia deliciosa in Swiss albino mice was evaluate by using models like delayed type hypersensitivity, neutrophil adhesion test, milk induced neutrophil leucocytes in mice, clonidine induced catalepsy activity in mice, clonidine induced mast cell degranulation method. Microscopic and histopathology images also taken during the experiment for better analysis of the outcomes. Results: The result obtained after performing the various models were observed that ethanolic extract of fruit of Actinidia deliciosa significantly **p<0.001 inhibit delayed type hypersensitivity, helps to increase neutrophil migration towards foreign body which are primary mediators and playsimportant role to fight infections, it also reduces leucocytes and eosinophilia count increased by milk, hence, work as anti-asthmatic agent. It was also found that the Actinidia deliciosa fruit extract reduces cataleptic activity of mice and protects mast cells from degranulation. Conclusion: The current study findings showed that ethanolic extract of Actinidia deliciosa fruits possess immunomodulatory and anti-asthmatic activity by reducing hypersensitivity reactions, increasing neutrophil migration towards antigens, reduces leucocytes and eosinophilia counts, also helps in the reduction of cataleptogenic activity and protects mass cell degranulation. The seasonal changes in environmental conditions can alter the growth states of host plants, thereby affecting the living environment of endophytes and forming different endophytic communities. This study employs Illumina MiSeq next-generation sequencing to analyze the 16SrRNA and ITS rDNA of endophytes in 24 samples of Actinidia arguta stem tissues across different seasons. The results revealed a high richness and diversity of endophytes in Actinidia arguta, with significant seasonal variations in microbial community richness. This study identified 897 genera across 36 phyla for bacteria and 251 genera across 8 phyla for fungi. Notably, 69 bacterial genera and 19 fungal genera significantly contributed to the differences in community structure across seasons. A distinctive feature of coexistence in the endophytic community, both specific and conservative across different seasons, was observed. The bacterial community in winter demonstrated significantly higher richness and diversity compared to the other seasons. Environmental factors likely influence the optimal timing for endophyte colonization. Solar radiation, temperature, precipitation, and relative humidity significantly impact the diversity of endophytic bacteria and fungi. In addition, seasonal variations show significant differences in the nutritional modes of fungal endophytes and the degradation, ligninolysis, and ureolysis functions of bacterial endophytes. This study elucidates the potential role of endophytes in assisting Actinidia arguta in adapting to seasonal changes and provides a theoretical basis for further exploration of functional microbial strains.
