The article focuses on the development of psychoeducation interventions to explain illness and treatment to patients with first-episode psychosis (FEP). These interventions are conducted in group, individual, or multifamily group formats to discuss the illness from a multidimensional viewpoint. Psychoeducational program used in a hospital unit specializing in the acute treatment of FEP patients comprises of four modules, including psychotic symptoms, cannabis and psychosis, psychosis and medication, and psychosis and recovery.
