This research paper explores the hybrid models for Javanese character recognition using 15600 characters gathered from digital and handwritten sources. The hybrid model combines the merit of deep learning using convolutional neural networks (CNN) to involve feature extraction and a machine learning classifier using support vector machine (SVM). The dropout layer also manages overfitting problems and enhances training accuracy. For evaluation purposes, we also compared CNN models with three different architectures with multilayer perceptron (MLP) models with one and two hidden layer(s). In this research, we evaluated three variants of CNN architectures and the hybrid CNN-SVM models on both the accuracy of classification and training time. The experimental outcomes showed that the classification performances of all CNN models outperform the classification performances of both MLP models. The highest testing accuracy for basic CNN is 94.2% when using model 3 CNN. The increment of hidden layers to the MLP model just slightly enhances the accuracy. Furthermore, the hybrid model gained the highest accuracy result of 98.35% for classifying the testing data when combining model 3 CNN with the SVM classifier. We get that the hybrid CNN-SVM model can enhance the accuracy results in the Javanese characters recognition. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The support systems for assisting clinical decision highly improve the quality and efficiency of the therapeutic and diagnostic treatment in medicine. The proper implementation of such systems can emulate the reasoning of health care professionals in such a way that suggest reasonable decisions on patient treatment. The fuzzy logic system can be considered as one of the efficient techniques for converting a complex decision tree that usually facing the physician into artificial intelligent procedure embedded in a computer program. So many properties in fuzzy logic system that can facilitate the process of medical diagnosis and therapeutic management. In this paper, a system for therapeutic management of hypertriglyceridemia was efficiently realized using a fuzzy logic technique. The obtained results had shown that the proposed fuzzy logic contributes a reliable managing procedure for assisting the physicians and pharmacist in treating the hypertriglyceridemia. The most prominent protocols for data transfer in internet of things (IoT) are message queuing telemetry transport (MQTT) and constrained application protocol (CoAP). The existing clients from both sides are unable to communicate directly because of the packet's header structure difference in application and transport layer. In response, this paper aims to develop a bidirectional conversion server used to translate the specified messaging protocol interchangeably in the OpenFlow network and transmit the converted packet from both sides. The conversion server integrated the MQTT subscriber and CoAP POST object for converting the MQTT message into CoAP data. Similarly, the CoAP-MQTT translation was processed by CoAP GET and MQTT publisher object. The research was evaluated by analysing the round trip time (RTT) value, conversion delay, and power consumption. The RTT value for MQTT-CoAP required 0.5 s while the CoAP-MQTT was accumulated in 0.1 s for single-packet transmission. In addition, the SDN controller and the conversion server only consumed less than 1% central processing unit (CPU) usage during the experiment. In this paper, we conduct a comprehensive study on dimensionality reduction (DR) techniques and discuss the mostly used statistical DR technique called principal component analysis (PCA) in detail with a view to addressing the classical face recognition problem. Therefore, we, more devotedly, propose a solution to either a typical face or individual face recognition based on the principal components, which are constructed using PCA on the face images. We simulate the proposed solution with several training and test sets of manually captured face images and also with the popular Olivetti Research Laboratory (ORL) and Yale face databases. On the basis of the fundamental differential evolution (DE), this paper puts forward several improved DE algorithms to find a balance between global and local search and get optimal solutions through rapid convergence. Meanwhile, a random mutation mechanism is adopted to process individuals that show stagnation behaviour. After that, a series of frequently-used benchmark test functions are used to test the performance of the fundamental and improved DE algorithms. Digital image watermarking is one of the proposed solutions for copyright protection of multimedia data. This technique is better than Digital Signatures and other methods because it does not increase overhead. Watermarking adds the additional requirement of robustness. To improve the robustness of digital image watermarking method based on the image frequency, this paper adopts the intermediate frequency to embed the watermarking and proposes an digital image watermarking algorithm based on robust principal component analysis (RPCA) and discrete cosine transform (DCT). Firstly, the high frequency part and the low frequency part of the image are extracted by the RPCA algorithm. Because the high frequency part has complex statistical characteristics, this paper processes the high frequency part with "8×8" DCT method to obtain intermediate frequency coefficients and then the watermarking information is embedded into the obtained intermediate frequency coefficients. Low Density Parity Check Code (LDPC) is a kind of linear block codes based on sparse check matrix. As a kind of channel coding, whose error performance approach Shannon limits, it has better error correction capability, more flexible structure and lower decoding complexity. Currently most of the LDPC code researches are on the premise of the AWGN channel and BSC channel, which mainly in the range of the binary LDPC codes. According to the above problem, this paper analyzes the various decoding performance of non-binary LDPC codes in Rayleigh channel, and realizes a non-binary LDPC decoder in Rayleigh channel through the FPGA design. The paper begins with an overall discussion of issues surrounding the use of non-binary LDPC codes. And then the bit-error-rate (BER) performances of different non-binary LDPC codes decoding algorithm are compared on the independent Rayleigh fading channel. Biclustering algorithm is proposed for discovering matrix with biological significance in gene expression data matrix and it is used widely in machine learning which can cluster the row and column of matrix. In order to further improve the performance of biclustering algorithm, this paper proposes a semisupervised clustering algorithm based on variational Bayesian. Firstly, it introduces supplementary information of row and column for biclustering process and represents corresponding joint distribution probability model. In addition, it estimates the parameter of joint distribution probability model based on variational Bayesian learning method. Finally, it estimates the performance of proposed algorithm through synthesized data and real gene expression data set. Many people in the recent days have suffering from number of diseases due to unsafe and impure drinking water, especially in rural areas. As typical laboratory experiments and official water quality tests take considerable amount of time to obtain results and due to non availability of a simple device that can measure such water quality parameters in real time, therefore in this paper a remote pH level monitoring system for Baghdad drinking water system is proposed. A PH level sensing and monitoring nodes are distributed at different location. These nodes are proactively measured pH level of water and send data to the maintenance center to give them overall picture about pH level via global position system (GSM). This proposed system gives a robust, low-cost and effective method for the drinking water maintenance center to measure and monitoring the water quality in real time environment. In this proposed paper, multicarrier sinusoidal pulse width modulation (M-SPWM) method is implemented for design of 15 level reduced switches inverter topology. This inverter topology generates 15 level output-voltage with suitablelswitching pulse production using M-SPWM and altered level of voltages are attained with distinction of modulationlindex. The split inductor is used to diminish the harmoniclcontent and flatted output current. This type of system which contains different range of different range of voltage supplies. As a result, this inverter reduces the difficulty in gating time calculation and there is no neutral point fluctuation issue. This paper illuminates the modes of switching and minimization of stress in voltage and harmonic diminution are examined. Software-defined network (SDN) is one of the most predominant technologies for networking in the existing and next-generation networks. Therefore, this paper is conducted to introduce a survey for researchers who are interested in exploiting the dynamic tunneling technique to optimize software-defined wide area network (SD-WAN). The main purpose of this survey is not only to investigate the related works of dynamic tunneling with SD-WAN but also to classify this related work according to the aim of each research into the practicable categories and present the most dominated employments for tunneling with SD-WAN, specifically virtual local area network (VLAN). The performed classification accompany dynamic tunneling in SDN can be summarized into four categories as following: exploring VLAN in SDN; management of multi VLAN in SDN; recover link failure of SDN; and development of SDN by using VLAN. Finally, the intensive study of the literature in this paper discovers that the dominant path of research falls in the class that covers SDN's link failure. This class takes full advantage of SD-WANs due to offering more robust networking and restoring most communication failures. Weather balloons are high-altitude meteorological balloons particularly used for carrying scientific payloads into the upper atmosphere. These data are obtained by using an instrument called as radiosonde which is attached to the helium filled weather balloon to measure the meteorological data as it ascends up into the atmosphere. For more than 100 years, weather balloons have given valuable information for climate and meteorological research. In this paper, the radiosonde module is designed with negligible risk of failure and cost effectiveness. The instruments to be fixed along with the weather balloon are logging camera, temperature sensor, pressure sensor, humidity sensor, global positioning system (GPS) module and a power source. This module is used to measure and log the basic weather parameters such as pressure, temperature, humidity and this also captures the picture of a particular locality with the help of a microcontroller. This proposed work is useful for observing high altitude weather data which is essential for predicting natural disasters. Mango is a popular fruit for local consumption and export commodity. Currently, Indonesian mango export at 37.8 M accounted for 0.115% of world consumption. Pest and disease are the common enemies of mango that degrade the quality of mango yield. Specialized treatment in export destinations such as gamma-ray in Australia, or hot water treatment in Korea, demands pest-free and high-quality products. Artificial intelligence helps to improve mango pest and disease control. This paper compares the deep learning model on mango fruit pests and disease recognition. This research compares Visual Geometry Group 16 (VGG16), residual neural network 50 (ResNet50), InceptionResNet-V2, Inception-V3, and DenseNet architectures to identify pests and diseases on mango fruit. We implement transfer learning, adopt all pre-trained weight parameters from all those architectures, and replace the final layer to adjust the output. All the architectures are re-train and validated using our dataset. The tropical mango dataset is collected and labeled by a subject matter expert. The VGG16 model achieves the top validation and testing accuracy at 89% and 90%, respectively. VGG16 is the shallowest model, with 16 layers; therefore, the model was the smallest size. The testing time is superior to the rest of the experiment at 2 seconds for 130 testing images. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

An Aadhaar is a unique number issued to every citizen in India. Aadhar's current identity authentication relies on the central identities data repository (CDIR) of the unique identification authority of India (UIDAI), which is at risk of a single-point fault attack. Perhaps worse, internal attacks can tamper with the sensitive data of authenticated devices without being detected. In this paper, the proposed system utilizes emerging technology: blockchain for solving the issue of centralized authentication. The proposed system provides a distributed, secure, and tamper-proof ledger platform for Aadhar in that Aadhar is implemented using blockchain ethereum technology. The proposed system considers the unique Aadhar identification (ID) for each citizen of India and registered it on the smart contract of ethereum so that this unique ID may be authenticated by each other in a peer-to-peer network without a central authority. For securing the data, the proposed framework uses hashing technique for significant data (i.e. firmware). Sensors connected to the cloud services equipped with data analytics has created a plethora of new type of applications ranging from personal to an industrial level forming to what is known today as Internet of Things (IoT). IoT-based system follows a pattern of data collection, data analytics, automation, and system improvement recommendations. However, most applications would have its own unique requirements in terms of the type of the smart devices, communication technologies as well as its application provisioning service. In order to enable an IoT-based system, various services are commercially available that provide services such as backend-as-a-service (BaaS) and software-as-a-service (SaaS) hosted in the cloud. This, in turn, raises the issues of security and privacy. However there is no plug-and-play IoT middleware framework that could be deployed out of the box for on-premise server. This paper aims at providing a lightweight IoT middleware that can be used to enable IoT applications owned by the individuals or organizations that effectively securing the data on-premise or in remote server. Specifically, the middleware with a standardized application programming interface (API) that could adapt to the application requirements through high level abstraction and interacts with the application service provider is proposed. Each API endpoint would be secured using Access Control List (ACL) and easily integratable with any other modules to ensure the scalability of the system as well as easing system deployment. In addition, this middleware could be deployed in a distributed manner and coordinate among themselves to fulfil the application requirements. A middleware is presented in this paper with GET and POST requests that are lightweight in size with a footprint of less than 1 KB and a round trip time of less than 1 second to facilitate rapid application development by individuals or organizations for securing IoT resources. Internet video sharing has been used by scholars for two main purposes. First, it is for informal scholarly communication including teaching and academic conferences. Second, it is for engagement tool by contemporary society. Renewable energy technology has also been utilizing internet video sharing technology for those purposes. It is a promotional tool to disseminate information about the technology as well as a media for public engagement with renewable energy issues. This paper reviews how YouTube, the most popular internet video sharing website whose content is created and accessed publicly for free of charge, has been elaborated in scholarly publication in the various fields prior to showing how renewable energy is portrayed in YouTube. By using a hundred YouTube most viewed videos, this paper presents an in-depth and systematic measurement study on the characteristics of YouTube videos on renewable energy issues. Hydroponics is one of the farming technologies using water media to meet the needs of plant nutrition. Water use in hydroponics systems more efficient compared with the cultivation system using soil media. Water that has been mixed with mineral nutrients needed by plants streamed continuously to the plant roots. Another advantage of this method is very suitable to be applied in a limited area such as urban home environments, the use of the existing space in the house. In the everyday activities of urban residents spending more time outside the home to work, school, shopping and other activities. Thus the observation of hydroponic systems remotely be important to be done from anywhere. Availability, temperature, and pH of the water are some of the factors in hydroponic systems that need to be observed periodically to determine the appropriate action. This problem can be solved by developing the Internet of Things technology in the hydroponic system that observations can be done remotely and reported directly through the Internet. Electromagnetic interference (EMI) due to lightning strike in Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) became a critical issue, since it could cause a severe damaged to electronic equipment which was installed in UAV. This paper proposed a method to reduce EMI by creating shield over the body of UAV with aluminum foil with thickness 0.15mm. A standard lightning impulse-voltage generated by impulse generator was delivered to the high voltage (HV) electrode at a particular distance from UAV. Indirect effect of lightning strike was investigated by measuring induced voltage inside the compartment of UAV fuselage during flashover between the HV electrode and UAV. Flashover between the HV electrode and UAV simulated the lightning strike. The result showed that the highest voltage only 1V at UAV compartment when 150kV impulse voltage supplied to the electrode with striking area on the wing. The measured voltage was far below 100V as the insulation level of low voltage equipment inside UAV. Although the direct effect of lightning has created a burning hole on the surface aluminum foil with thickness 0.15mm, the effect was overcome by increasing the thickness to 0.3mm. The application of aluminum foil over the surface of UAV repelled the electromagnetic interference which acted as a Faraday cage. The shielding method was successfully reduced the effect of EMI. The heart is a vital organ that serves to pump blood to the whole body. A heart rate can be used as a healthy body parameter conditions. Growing evidence suggests that IT-based health records play essential role to drive medical revolution especially on data storage and processing. The heart rate measurement (HRM) process usually involves wearable sensor devices to record patient's data. This data is recorded to help the doctors to analyze and provide a better diagnose in order to determine the best treatment for the patients. Connecting the sensor system through a wireless network to a cloud server will enable the doctor to monitor remotely. This paper presents fit-NES wearable bracelet, an alternative method for integrating a HR measurement device using optical based pulse sensor and Bluetooth-based communication module. Beef is kind of perishable food that easily to decay. Hence, a rapid system for beef quality assessment is needed to guarantee the quality of beef. In the last few years, electronic nose (e-nose) is developed for beef spoilage detection. In this paper, we discuss the challenges of e-nose application to beef quality assessment, especially in e-nose data processing. We also provide a summary of our previous studies that explains several methods to deal with gas sensor noise, sensor array optimization problem, beef quality classification, and prediction of the microbial population in beef sample. The automatic testing machine, called by mixed-load tester, has ability to load and test multiple product families in different testing durations simultaneously. However, the high product mixes for each product family undergoes a different process flow. In addition, the capability of the robot inside tester used for loading and unloading a product to each slot makes the capacity planning problem more complicated. It effects low tester utilization. This paper developed simulation models of capacity planning scenarios under demand and testing time uncertainty. These scenarios are built by robust optimization to handle worst case condition. The result shows the proposed solutions gives better tester utilization and improves the decision making process by providing more detailed and precise information about capacity planning under uncertainties that was not available in company's current method. Electro Magnetic Compatibility (EMC) Chamber requires high performance absorber material to assure the quality of EMC chamber related to Radio Frequency (RF) shielding effectiveness of the corresponding chamber. RF shielding effectiveness is measured following EN 50147-1 testing method. EMC laboratory of BPPT (Indonesian Agency for the Assessment and Application of Technology uses polyurethane absorber material which absorbs the carbon-neoprene mixture to maintain consistent RF performance over a broad frequency band, especially in the frequency range of CISPR 22 radiated emission test between 30 MHz to 6 GHz, limits in CISPR 22 (Information technology equipment-radio disturbance characteristics-limits and methods of measurement). This paper proposes alternative absorber materials based on organic materials: rice husk, coconut husk, cotton and sawn wood crumbs. In the early phase of this research, the frequency under consideration are 900 MHz and 1800 MHz. These frequencies are mostly used by mobile phone devices, therefore at this phase the resulted organic material absorber may be used for alternative mobile phone casing before to be used as absorber material for EMC laboratory in a broader frequency band. The organic materials are produced by mixing them with cement, carbon, and resin. Free space testing method is used in the measurements. Results has shown a mixture of 50% coconut husk with resin absorb the most radiated emission in 900 MHz, while 30% of coconut husk will absorb the most radiated emission in 1800 MHz. In this paper, the quality performance of several filters in restoration of images corrupted with various types of noise has been examined extensively. In particular, Wiener filter, Gaussian filter, median filter and averaging (mean) filter have been used to reduce Gaussian noise, speckle noise, salt and pepper noise and Poisson noise. Many images have been tested, two of which are shown in this paper. Several percentages of noise corrupting the images have been examined in the simulations. The size of the sliding window is the same in the four filters used, namely 5x5 for all the indicated noise percentages. For image quality measurement, two performance measuring indices are used: peak signal-to-noise ratio (PSNR) and structural similarity (SSIM). The simulation results show that the performance of some specific filters in reducing some types of noise are much better than others. It has been illustrated that median filter is more appropriate for eliminating salt and pepper noise. Averaging filter still works well for such type of noise, but of less performance quality than the median filter. Gaussian and Wiener filters outperform other filters in restoring mages corrupted with Poisson and speckle noise. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In the future wireless systems, non-orthogonal multiple-access (NOMA) with partial relay selection scheme is considered as developing research topic. In this paper, dual-hop relaying systems is deployed for NOMA, in which the signals are communicated with the assistance of decode-and-forward (DF) scheme. This paper presents exact expressions for outage probability over independent Rayleigh fading channels, and two partial relay selection schemes are provided. Using analytical result and Monte- Carlo method, we introduce forwarding strategy selection for fixed user allocation and exactness of derived formula is checked. Ubiquitous technologies based heterogeneous networks has opened a new paradigm of technologies, which are enabled with various different objects called Internet of things (IoT). This field opens new door for innovative and advance patterns with considerable potential advantages in the shape of plethora of monitoring and infotainment applications around us. Data communication is one of the significant area of research in IoT due to its diverse network topologies, where diverse gadgets and devices have integrated and connected with each other. In order to communicate among devices and users, routing should be relible, secure and efficient. Due to diverse and hetrogenous netwok environment, the most of the existing routing solutions do not provide all quality of services requirement in the network. In this paper, we discuss the existing routing trend in IoT, vision and current challenges. This paper also elaborates the technologies and domains to drive this field for future perspectives. In this paper, we propose a method for calculating the DC source amplitude in an extended multilevel inverter (MLI) structure so that the maximum number of levels and the output voltage waveform are as close as possible to the sinusoidal wave with minimum total harmonic distortion (THD). For the developed structure, three algorithms are suggested to determine the amounts of DC voltage resources. The first important point about choosing the right amounts for the DC resources is that the number of levels should be as large as possible, and the second important point is that the intervals between the levels should be the same throughout the waveform. By observing these two points, the output voltage waveform can be as near as possible to the sinusoidal wave that we want. In this study, we used iteration-based methods to find suitable values for DC sources. Simulation results are offered to confirm the capability of the extended multilevel converter. After we solved the problem through calculation and analysis, a code was written in MATLAB with the aim that this time the code will tell us for what values of DC sources we will have the largest number of levels and as we expected, the output of the MATLAB code confirmed the correctness of the calculations. In this paper, the results of making a reduced graphene oxide cathode electrode with Cu2S nanoparticles are shown so that it can be used as a counter electrode in quantum dot solar cells to replace other counter electrodes. An rGO-Cu2S paste obtained by hydrolysis was scanned onto the surface of the fluorine-doped tin oxide (FTO) conductive substrate when bound to Cu2S nano by a screen-printing process, then calcined at 350 °C to crystallize the film. Following calcination, the film was examined for structure using energy-dispersive X-ray (EDX) and X-ray diffraction (XRD) spectroscopy, as well as for type and particle size using scanning and transmission electron microscopy and transmission electron microscopy, respectively. Mott-schottky measurement is used to determine the semiconductor and carrier concentrations in the film, and an electrochemical device is used to assess the electrodes redox capacity in a polysulfide electrolyte solution. The operability of the rGO-Cu2S cathode at the peak of the current density in the C-V curve was 24 mA/cm², a 30-fold increase compared to that of the Cu2S electrode. This result shows that the efficiency, Voc, FF, Jsc are 4.92%, 0.525 V, 0.418, and 22.4 mA/cm2, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

With continuous development of wireless communication and internet of things (IoT) technology enables many terminals to be interconnected with each other through the external environment by wireless communication. Along with that, 5G/6G technology provides services with enhanced quality and high data transmission speeds, requiring the implementation of IoT in the 5G/6G architecture. Free space optical (FSO) communication is considered as a promising technique that can connect IoT devices by high-speed communication link, so for wireless networks to fully realize the potential of 5G/6G technology providing speeds of 100 Gb/s or more, FSO is the optimal choice. By implementing FSO features in IoT, the performance and convegare of IoT will be improved and enhanced by using techniquaes for FSO systems. Therefore, this paper proposed and investigated the FSO communication system using reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RISs) over Weibull distribution. The performance of system is evaluated according to the average channel capacity (ACC) parameters in the case with and without RIS, while the the different of the model is changed. This paper presents new techniques for designing a simple and reliable multifeatured biometric system based on a single trait source. First, a one-toone relationship between the feature’s edge and its associated angle is utilized after extracting the contrast feature using the gray-level co-occurring matrix (GLCM) method. Secondly, the classifying stage is modified to process one-dimensional vectors rather than the whole feature’s template. That means whatever the template size is, the matching operation is always processing a one-dimensional vector called a mean-feature vector which requires low storage and less computation complexity. Finally, for comparison purposes, the performances of the three biometric systems are calculated for recognizing 170 subjects taken from four facial databases. These comparisons are made using three error distance measurements. The recognition rates of the angle-based feature were very competitive to the regular edge-based results; however, the overall recognition accuracy is highly improved after fusing the decision of the two unibiometric systems using the Logic-OR operator. The fused system performance was satisfactory and it shows that the decision fusion of the single source trait based multifeatured system has promising performance represented by accuracy improvement, low storage, and low matching time. Following the standard methods proposed by Polak-Ribiere-Polyak (P-R), in this work we introduce two new non-linear conjugate gradient methods for solving unconstraint optimization problem, our new methods based on P-R. Standard method (P-R) have performance well in numerical result but does not satisfy global convergency condition. In this paper we modified double attractive and powerful parameters that have better performance and good numerical result than P-R method, also each of our robust method can satisfies the descent condition and global convergency condition by using wolf condition. This paper presented the performance of physical layer security of permutation index (PI) with modulating bits-based orthogonal frequency division multiplexing differential chaos shift keying system (PIM-OFDMDCSK), the objective behind PIM-OFDM-DCSK is to improve and increase the information rate, spectral, and energy efficiencies. In PIM-OFDM-DCSK, the (M) subcarriers, each carry (n+1) bits. The n bits are index bits utilized to choose one permutation of the chaotic reference. On the receiver, after OFDM demodulation, the correlation is made between the permuted versions of the chaotic reference and the received bearing sequence of data. Then the received bits are assessed by determining the maximum correlator outputs via which the n bits are detected. Then the maximum output correlator sign is utilized to detect the modulating bit. The performance of the PIM-OFDM-DCSK is tested under additive white gaussian noise and multipath fading channel. Furthermore, the bit error rate is derived based on the wiretap system for the proposed PIM-OFDM-DCSK and compared with other DCSK modulations. The results show that the proposed PIM-OFDM-DCSK scheme is promising and competitive compared with other DCSK system, and the best BER performance is as an increase in the value of n and a decrease in the value of β. Recently, there has been a significant increase in the use of deep learning and low-computing edge devices for analysis of video-based systems, particularly in the field of intelligent transportation systems (ITS). One promising application of computer vision techniques in ITS is in the development of lowcomputing and accurate vehicle counting systems that can be used to eliminate dependence on external cloud computing resources. This paper proposes a compact, reliable and real-time vehicle counting solution which can be deployed on low-computational requirement edge computing devices. The system makes use of a custom-built vehicle detection algorithm based on the you only look once version 8 nano (YOLOv8n), combined with a deep association metric (DeepSORT) object tracking algorithm and an efficient vehicle counting method for accurate counting of vehicles in highway scenes. The system is trained to detect, track and count four distinct vehicle classeses, namely: car, motorcycle, bus, and truck. The proposed system was able to achieve an average vehicle detection mean average precision (mAP) score of 97.5%, a vehicle counting accuracy score of 96.8% and an average speed of 19.4 frames per second (FPS), all while being deployed on a compact Nvidia Jetson Nano edge-computing device. In this paper, a bit error rate (BER) performance is evaluated for power domain non-orthogonal multiple access (PD-NOMA) system. The performance test is examined considering; additive white gaussian noise (AWGN), flat and long-term evolution (LTE)-multipath selective channels such as; pedestrian channel model (EPA), vehicular channel model (EVA), and typical urban model (ETU). The proposed system considering two user equipment’s (UE1 and UE2) with a single base station (BS) for downlink channel. Two different powers were allocated to each user according to their positions from the BS. The superposition coding process is performed with successive-interference-cancelation (SIC) at both transmitter/receiver sides respectively to distinguish the desired received signal. The performance evaluations proves that the degree of power allocated to each user plays a significant rule in frequency selection environments. UE1 has a better BER performance than UE 2 by about 9 dB in EPA, 6 dB in EVA, and 7 dB in ETU environments respectively at a BER of 10-3 . However, in flat fading environment, the distance for each user represents a significant factor affecting the BER performance, where, UE 2 has a better BER performance than UE 1 by about 10 dB at a BER of 10-3 . The electrical power distribution parts include the distribution transformer responsible for reducing high voltage (HV) 11 Kv to low voltage (LV) 416/240 volts, and the power distribution lines (PDLs), which are the source of electrical power supply for residential neighborhoods. Any malfunction of these parts, result in a power outage. Currently, any faults are reported, detected, and alert in a primitive way, and this mechanism certainly takes a lot of time and effort. In this paper, an automatic approach for detection, report and alert has been suggested. This approach process is carried out by continuously checking the status of the three output feeders (power distribution lines), which is the low voltage side of the distribution transformer, when a malfunction occurs in any one or more of these feeders, it will generate an alert signal in the form of a text message using short message service (SMS). The maintenance center is notified by receiving this SMS via SIM900 modem through the global system for mobile (GSM) communications network. The SMS text message includes feeder number, fault type and location address (street number and distribution transformer number). In this design, time and effort are shortened and the maintenance center enables fully automatic monitoring of electric power distribution parts within the sector of responsibility. Due to the rapid development of information technology, the process of exchanging information over the web has become simple and fast. Nevertheless, the transmission of information will be at risk due to the nature of the internet, as anyone can access and change the data by hacking it. Therefore, it is necessary for protecting any personal information from being accessed by unlawful individuals. It became necessary to use encryption and steganography techniques for protecting data. Steganography is a manner used for covering hidden information in several other media while preserving the form of the original data and leaving no evidence of hidden data, whereas, encryption changes the original information into unclear or ambiguous information, which is called scrambled. The paper presents a method of video steganography as a powerful and effective tool for data steganography. We used a video as a spreading medium and then used it for concealment of an audio message and a document (in a pdf file) in a method that makes the information invisible using the least significant bit (LSB) method. This work offers the sliding mode control (SMC) based control scheme for a railway traction transmission system fed by a five-level T-type inverter. This nonlinear control approach is created for the speed and torque loop control of the permanent magnet synchronous motor (PMSM) railway traction drive system supplied by a multi-level inverter. The article also includes a mathematical model of a PMSM motor and torque load to design controllers. The paper expressed the vector voltage modulation design incorporating a five-level T-Type inverter. The research proposes a control scheme for the railway traction drive system that enhances transmission quality by lowering the torque ripper and stator current harmonic distortion and extending converter life. The idea of coverless information hiding has seen a great deal of development since it was initially introduced due to its effectiveness in defeating steganalysis tools. However, the capacity for general coverless information hiding methods to conceal information is limited, as well as no previous methods worked at the other requirements such as robustness. In this paper, a coverless image steganography (CIS) method for increasing capacity is proposed while retaining the robustness. The proposed method consists of several steps. Firstly, the secret data is segmented into segments of the n length. Secondly, a suitable image that has features similar to the secret message is selected and divided into non-overlapping blocks. Thirdly, these blocks are transformed into the frequency domain by applying discreet wavelet transform (DWT). Fourthly, building a hash sequence table using a suggested hashing algorithm. Fifthly, to reduce search time an indexing table is built based on the generated hash sequence. Sixthly, match each segment with the generated hash sequences and save the auxiliary information for each matched segment in the image in a file. Lastly, send the stego image and the auxiliary information file to the receiver. The experimental results show that the CIS method produces high capacity compared with previous CIS methods. The key source of information for disease diagnosis and classification in paddy diseases is the leaves. Applying hybrid techniques, such as image processing-pattern recognition (IP-PR) and computer vision-based technologies, is the answer to assessing the health of plants. The following paddy diseases are considered in this paper: bacterial leaf blight (BLB), brown spot (BS), leaf smut (LS), and narrow brown spot (NBS) from the machine learning repository. A classical colour threshold-based segmentation method is implemented newly to separate the patterns of image pixels into the diseased part and the normal part. The human visual impression (VI), a subjective method, and a parametric-based method with an average error rate (ER) and overlap rate (OR) are used to assess the uniqueness of the suggested segmentation technique. Using a multi-class support vector machine (MSVM) classifier, the analysis yielded segmented images using the proposed method with an accuracy of 92% over the existing method with an accuracy of 76.60%. The BLB disease achieved the highest identification accuracy of 91%. Sixth-generation (6G) applications require ultra-speed and large-capacity wireless communication services. Millimeter wave technology can be used to satisfy these requirements, especially at 28 GHz. This paper study used the Ansys® high-frequency structure simulator (HFSS) to design and simulate rectangular and slotted rectangular microstrip patch antennas (MSPAs) at 28 GHz. The proposed designs contained a Rogers RT/Duroid® 5,880 substrate with a dielectric constant (er) of 2.2 and a loss tangent of 0.0009. The performance of both the proposed antennas was compared to determine which was more efficient. This present study also used an adaptive network-based fuzzy inference system (ANFIS) to determine the optimal frequency and gain. The main objective of the manuscript is to use artificial intelligence (AI) to obtain the best design results for MSPA. The results indicated, with the use of AI, the gain of the rectangular and slotted antennas, was 6.3943 and 6.3094 dB at an efficiency of 98.338% and 98.651%, respectively. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The generalized new Mersenne number transforms (GNMNTs) have proved to be significant number theoretic transforms (NTTs) used to calculate convolutions and correlations accurately. In this paper, by applying the principles of the decimation-in-frequency (DIF) approach with appropriate relations in finite field modulo Mersenne primes, two new fast algorithms for computing odd NMNT (ONMNT) and odd-squared NMNT (O²NMNT) are introduced. Moreover, by formulating a unified index mapping scheme for data sequence, a close relationship between the structures of the developed algorithms has been established. As a result, it has been shown that only a single universal butterfly structure is adequate to execute both algorithms. Consequently, a unified implementation platform can be used to compute the ONMNT as well as the O²NMNT. A vehicular ad hoc network (VANET) is an intelligent technology that allows efficient communication, secure data transmission, and traffic management. VANET allows vehicles in the network to communicate wirelessly with roadside units (RSUs) or between vehicles within a coverage area. The primary goal of adopting VANET is to reduce the frequency of accidents in specific urban regions drastically. It has a significant impact on passenger safety and the ability of drivers to drive safely in metropolitan areas. As the number of cars on the road grows, so does the number of accidents. As a result, a better traffic system is required to address this issue. VANET is a cutting-edge network that primarily delivers intelligent transportation system (ITS) services to end-users to facilitate data exchange and ensure safety. In this paper, we propose geographical and maximum distance on-demand routing algorithm (G-MDORA) that combines the advantages of geographic routing protocol (GRP) and MDORA protocol for Ad hoc routing between vehicle to vehicle (V2V). Our proposed model provides an idea that can be used to improve the performance of the GRP and MDORA protocol. In this paper the band gap of one-dimensional electromagnetic band gap (1D-EBG) structures will be determined analytically using the dispersion diagram method. Next, we propose a 1D-EBG antenna design to improve the directivity at 3.5 GHz for WiMax applications. The primary goal of this endeavor is to validate the method and the directive EBG antenna's design at the resonant frequency 3.5 GHz with optimal adaptation and to demonstrate the effect of the dielectric substrates on increasing the directivity up to 20 dB. The proposed antenna with 1D-EBG shows 14 dBi enhancement in comparison to the conventional antenna without EBG and a very good adaptation is obtained. One dimensional (1D) spectral amplitude coding-optical code division multiple access (SAC-OCDMA) systems are generally known by a strict limitation in the number of users that can simultaneously connect. A main solution to overcome this drawback consists of constructing a two-dimensional (2D) structure using a new hybrid spectral/spatial code through combining a one dimensional new zero cross correlation code (NZCC) to a one dimensional multi-diagonal code (1D MD) to easily provide null cross-correlation properties and totally remove the multiple access interferences. Accordingly, this research paper describes an easy and fast technique to construct a hybrid two-dimensional NZCC-MD code based on a non diagonal matrix for SAC-OCDMA systems with direct spectral/spatial dimension (SDD) detection technique and water-filling (WF) optimization. The novel code presents many advantages such as less complex structure, acceptable code length as well as the possibility to construct it for any weight value. This research paper investigates the novel triple remote phosphor layer for improving the remote phosphor’s angular chroma uniformity (ACU) of down-light lamps by using remote micro-patterned phosphor layers (RMPP). In addition, introducing the triple-layer (TL) RMPP is introduced to offer the potential approach to this objective. This analysis also measures the optical efficiency of the layers and the angle distribution of angular correlated color temperature (ACCT). Drawing a comparison between the traditional dual-layer (DL) RMPP and the proposed TL is furthermore critical to this study. According to the findings, the triple-layer phosphor configuration can achieve greater hue consistency while having a correlating colour temperature (CCT) variance merely measured at 441 K. Results in the single RMPP layer are 1390 K of the remote phosphor (RP) sheet setting and 556 K for the ACCT deviation. The recreation employing finite-difference time-domain (FDTD) as well as the approach of ray-tracing ensures an increase in angular color uniformity (ACU). The structure of DL and TL RMPPs results in a 6.68 % and 4.69 % gain in luminous efficiency, respectively, with the standard RMPP layer at a currently driving of 350 mA. User interface (UI) and user experience (UX) design is fundamental to the stickiness of any application. Food delivery is no exception. With the food delivery business sector on the rise during the coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) pandemic, it is necessary for any newcomers in the market to at least match the must-have feature lists of the major players. However, Robinhood, despite having a niche in societal responsibility, is still a food delivery app that is found to lack some of the features that, in the past few months, due to the fierce competition within the food delivery space, moved down from a delighter to a must-have. In this paper, we show, through iterations of qualitative interviews, the proposed solutions consisting of features and future roadmap along with the general context of why each implementation was selected in each sprint. Through all these experiments, we learned not to go against the natural reading pattern of reading from left to right, the z pattern in the visual hierarchy, the users’ familiarity with buttons placement due to loaded external factors, and how introducing too many new features may negatively impact the usability test score.
