Due to the global outbreak of infectious diseases over the years, airborne pathogen removal from the indoor environment has become a critical issue. Ultraviolet germicidal irradiation (UVGI) has been adopted as a strategic solution, and its implementation shows the enormous potential of inactivating airborne infectious pathogens. Despite extensive research, some critical research areas or gaps remain unidentified, while at the same time, few studies highlight the knowledge trend for UVGI air disinfection research necessary to guide investigators and practitioners. The purpose of this paper is to provide a thorough and objective analysis of UVGI research areas using bibliometric analysis. The available international standard known as the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Review and Meta-analysis (PRISMA) was followed for conducting this review. A comprehensive search covering the publication year up to December 2021 using Web of Science (WoS), Scopus, and PubMed databases was conducted. Also, the selection of studies, extraction of data, and assessments of risk of bias were also carried out. The characteristics and results of selected studies in evidence graphs, pie charts, network maps, and tables were presented and discussed. A total of 210 UVGI air disinfection-related publications were identified and reviewed. Based on the keyword co-occurrence analysis, document and direct citation analysis, 112 research keywords (see Table A1), and 6 core research journals were identified. Further, the results show that 3 countries and 7 organizational collaborators are at the centre of UVGI research. Based on the clustering analysis and comprehensive analysis of the findings, the research domain was developed, which grouped UVGI research into four themes. These findings are highly important for the advancement of UVGI. This paper provides a significant contribution by showing the knowledge pattern needed to facilitate further research and applications for both academia and industry stakeholders to improve indoor air quality. Rheumatoid arthritis (RA) is a chronic multifactorial disorder of autoimmune etiology with a complex pathophysiological mechanism that is not yet fully elucidated. RA pharmacotherapy includes active molecules of chemical or biological nature that offer symptomatic relief and a slowing of progression, but still in a context of incurability. Therefore, the development of continuous research and multidisciplinary collaboration is essential. Although the management of RA is a topic of significant scientific relevance, existing bibliometric analyses are insufficient to assess this vast field. Consequently, the present study examines numerous manuscripts indexed in the Web of Science database using the VOSviewer software to provide through statistical interpretation of the data a comprehensive description of RA pharmacotherapy in terms of scientific impact, current state of research, number and frequency of citations, most prolific journals, authors, and countries, along with their relationships and other useful data for the literature search/publication process. Furthermore, the use of bubble maps of term occurrence has applicability in identifying current research trends in the field of RA pharmacotherapy as well as their evolution over the years. The leader in this field in terms of published papers is the United States, and the most prolific journal is Annals of the rheumatic diseases. The global management of RA, which is characterized by extensiveness and depth due to many variables, suggests the need for a conceptual framework based on pharmacotherapy coupled with comprehensive bibliometric studies, and the results may be useful for researchers in setting specific objectives that contribute to improving RA outcomes. Background h-index is useful for quantifying scholarly activity in medicine, but this statistic has not been extensively applied as a measure of productivity in anaesthesia. We conducted a bibliometric analysis of h-index in editorial board members and tested the hypothesis that editorial board members of anaesthesia journals with higher impact factors (IFs) have higher h-indices. Methods Ten of 19 journals with 2009 IF>1 were randomly chosen from Journal Citation Reports®. Board members were identified using each journal's website. Publications, citations, citations per publication, and h-index for each member were obtained using Scopus®. Results Four hundred and twenty-three individuals filled 481 anaesthesia editorial board positions. The median h-index of all editorial board members was 14. Board members published 75 papers (median) with 1006 citations and 13 citations per publication. Members serving on journals with IF greater than median had significantly (P<0.05; Wilcoxon's rank-sum test) greater median h-index, citations, and citations per publication than those at journals with IF less than median. A significant correlation between the median h-index of a journal's editorial board members and its IF (h-index=3.01×IF+6.85; r2=0.452; P=0.033) was observed for the 10 journals examined. Board members of subspeciality-specific journals had bibliometric indices that were less than those at general journals. The h-index was greater in individuals serving more than one journal. European editorial board members had higher h-index values than their American colleagues. Conclusions The results suggest that editorial board members of anaesthesia journals with higher IFs have higher h-indices. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
