The Grüss-Voronovskaya-type approximation results for the modified Gupta-Srivastava operators are considered. Moreover, the magnitude of differences of two linear positive operators defined on an unbounded interval has been estimated. Quantitative type results are established as we initially obtain the moments of generalized discrete operators and then estimate the difference of these operators with the Gupta-Srivastava operators. Motivated by a number of recent investigations, we consider a new analogue of Bernstein-Durrmeyer operators based on certain variants. We derive some approximation properties of these operators. We also compute local approximation and Voronovskaja type asymptotic formula. Several modifications of the discrete operators are available in the literature. In the recent years, certain modifications of the well-known Baskakov and Szasz--Mirakyan operators have been discussed based on certain parameters. We propose mixed summation-integral type operators and estimate the quantitative asymptotic formula and a global direct result for the special case. For general case, we establish moments and some direct convergence results in ordinary approximation, which includes pointwise approximation, asymptotic formula and a direct result in terms of modulus of continuity. Follicular lymphoma (FL) is an indolent malignancy of germinal center B cells with varied incidence across racial groups and geographic regions. Improvements in the classification of non-Hodgkin lymphoma subtypes provide an opportunity to explore associations between environmental exposures and FL incidence. Our paper found that aspects of Western lifestyle including sedentary lifestyle, obesity, and diets high in meat and milk are associated with an increased risk of FL. Diets rich in fruits and vegetables, polyunsaturated fatty acids, vitamin D, and certain antioxidants are inversely associated with FL risk. A medical history of Sjogren's syndrome, influenza vaccination, and heart disease may be associated with FL incidence. Associations between FL and exposure to pesticides, industrial solvents, hair dyes, and alcohol/tobacco were inconsistent. Genetic risk factors include variants at the 6p21.32 region of the MHC II locus, polymorphisms of the DNA repair gene XRCC3, and UV exposure in individuals with certain polymorphisms of the vitamin D receptor. Increasing our understanding of risk factors for FL must involve integrating epidemiological studies of genetics and exposures to allow for the examination of risk factors and interactions between genes and environment. Epidemiological studies suggest unique occurrence patterns of Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) worldwide. In most Western countries there is a clear bimodal age distribution with an early peak in young adults followed by a second peak in older adults, particularly among males. In the Middle East and Asia, HL is more common in early childhood. There also are marked racial differences in the presentations of HL and HL subtypes, and particular single nucleotide polymorphisms (SNPs) have been identified as etiological factors suggesting that gene-gene and gene-environment interactions are involved. Personal health choices such as exercise and smoking may modify an individual's chances of developing HL. Numerous studies highlight the impact that exposure to Epstein- Barr virus and other environmental factors have on HL risk. Understanding the relative importance of each of these findings and their links toHL development and survival will help clinical researchers expand curative therapies and create preventative strategies for HL. Hodgkin lymphoma (HL) demonstrates heterogenous histologic findings, clinical presentation, and outcomes. Using the United States Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER) data we examined relationships between patient characteristics, clinical features at diagnosis, and survival in HL patients. From 2000 to 2007, 16,710 cases were recorded in 17 SEER registries. Blacks and Asians had low incidence (black/white incidence rate ratio (IRR) 0.86, P < .01; Asian/white IRR 0.43, P < .01). The bimodal pattern of incidence was less prominent for black males. Asians and Blacks presented at a mean age of 38 years compared to 42 years for Whites (P < .001). Race was a predictor for survival with HR of 1.19 (95% CI 1.11-1.28) for Blacks. Age was the most important predictor of survival (HR for patients ≥45 years 5.08, 95% CI 4.86-5.31). These current patterns for presentation and outcomes of HL help to delineate key populations in order to explore risk factors for HL and strategies to improve treatment outcomes. In recent decades, Financial Inclusiveness has got a lot of consideration from researchers, lawmakers, and other monetary stakeholders as it is foundational in addressing some of the critical global issues and is acknowledged as central to achieving sustainable development goals (SDG). Pradhan Mantri Jan Dhan Yojana (PMJDY) introduced in August 2014 intended to provide diverse Banking related services including access to savings accounts, credits andinsurance as offered in the formal monetary framework. Women empowerment not only focuses on the quality of life for women but also free from social and economic oppression. For this, women's financial inclusion becomes a necessary pre-requisite for the nation's financial inclusion. The current paper aims to study the status of financial inclusion of women in slums of Ludhiana post-PMJDY as they are mostly neglected in academic research on financial inclusion. Women from slums have joined the formal banking system and opened PMJDY accounts. The respondents not having formal education have also opened PMJDY accounts, and there is sound awareness regarding these financial schemes. It is also interesting to note that money lenders continue to play an essential role as financial intermediaries. Background: Mucoadhesive beads were fabricated and evaluated for controlled release of an antiemetic drug 'Ondansetron Hydrochloride'. Ondansetron hydrochloride is a serotonin 5-HT3 receptor antagonist mainly used for the treatment of emesis, which occurs as a side effect of chemotherapy. Materials and Methods: The present work was to fabricate and evaluate ondansetron-loaded microbeads by using chitosan as mucoadhesive and sustained release polymer. Sodium tripolyphosphate (Na-TPP) was used as a cross-linking agent. The microbeads were successfully prepared by ionotropic gelation technique. The particle size, entrapment efficiency, and mucoadhesive strength of drug-loaded formulations was measured by an optical microscope, direct crushing method, and in vitro wash-off method, respectively. Results: Particle size, entrapment efficiency, mucoadhesive strength, and in vitro drug release of optimized formulation was found to be 760.11 ± 1.02 µm, 75.09 ± 2.40%, 95.14 ± 0.27% and 87.45 ± 1.21%, respectively. The data was fitted to different kinetic models to illustrate its anomalous (non-Fickian) diffusion. Conclusions: The results revealed that ondansetron HCI loaded microbeads are most suitable mode of drug delivery for promising therapeutic action. Ondansetron HCl-loaded microbeads can prove to be potential pharmaceutical dosage forms for sustaining the drug release and reducing the dose frequency. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Rain water samples were collected to study the chemical composition of wet atmospheric precipitation (first event) over the Lucknow city in the northern Indo-gangetic alluvial plains. The samples were collected in the month of July, 2005 from different sites. The wet precipitation samples were analyzed for pH, EC, major ions ( $$ {\text{HCO}}^{ - }_{3} $$ , Cl−, $$ {\text{SO}}^{{2 - }}_{4} $$ , $$ {\text{NO}}^{ - }_{3} $$ , $$ {\text{PO}}^{{3 - }}_{4} $$ , F−, Na+, K+, Ca2+, Mg2+, $$ {\text{NH}}^{ + }_{4} $$ ) and heavy metals (As, Cd, Al, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Mn, Mo, Ni, Hg, Pb, Se, Sn, Ti, V, Zn). The pH values of wet precipitation samples ranged between 6.5 and 8.7. The analysis of linear regression applied to the set of studied variables and computation of neutralization factors showed that neutralization occurred in precipitation samples and Ca2+ had the maximum neutralization capacity. It was found that Cl−, $$ {\text{SO}}^{{2 - }}_{4} $$ , Ca2+, Mg2+, Na+ and K+ in the precipitation samples originated mainly from crustal/anthropogenic sources in the region. On an average Fe, and Al accounted for >72% of the total concentration of trace metals in the wet precipitation samples followed by Zn (>10%). Enrichment factors calculated for heavy metals over reference background level in seawater and Earth’s crust showed relatively higher enrichment of Zn.
