- Abstract
This work is part of research results "From students to teachers: first professional performance of Buenos Aires suburban area” that was proposed to characterize the first job placements of graduates history teachers from different training institutions. Initiation of professional life in schools, point out the third stage of professional socialization-the first is the experience students and the second is the initial teacher education. In practice, we have found a gradual rapprochement between the teacher's personal patterns and dominant in the school (Terhart, 1987). The history of research on the subject allowed anticipate three types of relationships: a) between characteristics of the employment of teachers and the type of institution where admitted, b) between employment modes and conceptions of teachers about the work to be done and about youth in schools, c) between the strategies deployed in the first performance and the type of training received. Be addressed here specifically labor socialization forms that could be identified through interviews and observations conducted with beginning teachers in their first performances.
