Front-of-package food labelling (FOPL) is a mechanism to inform consumers on food nutrients content and risks for health. Each country, within its own institutional framework, defines methods and protocols to formulate rules capable of influencing organizations and the behavior of agents. The paper aims at evaluating the role of some meso-institutions in shaping arenas for policymaking on FOPL based on an exploratory study in Brazil, Chile, and Mexico. A documental analysis and literature review were employed, followed by in-depth interviews. The relevant aspects of FOPL assessed were thresholds for sugar, fats, and sodium; marketing restrictions, and timeframe given for compliance with the new rules. The contribution of this article is to illuminate the way in which meso-institutions operate in a specific context, namely the development of food labelling standards. The focus is to find the rules that allowed the participation of stakeholders in the process of defining normative acts intended to regulate food labelling. The discussion of mandatory FOPL can be interpreted as a struggle to define proper rights for the food industry and the consumer. Meso-institutions, as translators of general normative principles in specific contexts, can encourage or restrict stakeholder participation in policymaking. Besides political arena, the participation can be done in other arenas, such as legislature, regulatory agencies, scientific community, media and public opinion. Institutions that encourage stakeholder participation increase the probability of obtaining widely accepted specific rules. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Sport provides an arena for human flourishing. For some, this pursuit of a meaningful life through sport involves the use of non-human animals, not least of all through sport hunting. This paper will take seriously that sport – including sport hunting – can provide a meaningful arena for human flourishing. Additionally, it will accept for present purposes that animals are of less moral value than humans. This paper will show that, even accepting these premises, much use of animals for sport – including sport hunting – is unacceptable. Nonetheless it will show that there can be acceptable ways of using animals as part of a human's meaningful life pursuits through sport, albeit in a more limited fashion than many sportspersons currently accept. In this paper, we present a Lacanian perspective on football, while notably fathoming its normative dimension. Starting with a defining imperative, the prohibition against 'handling' or touching the ball with your hands, diverging football historically from rugby, we will subsequently focus our attention on the role of the foot, the eye (notably the eyes of the audience) and the 'object a' (in the context of gender). Against this backdrop, we will address pressing issues such as the troubled position of the referee (as an 'impossible profession'), the commercialisation of football, and the rising tides of violence, match—fixing and other instances of systemic deviance. As we will argue, football exemplifies modern sport as an arena defined by prohibitions and desire, by inclusion and exclusion, by purity and abuse, culminating in recent challenges involved in gender trouble. Symbolical practices, like modern football, are based on in- and exclusion. Instead of more regulations and dichotomies, we advocate careful attention to the delicate art of handling desire in practice. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

ARENAS ,ACCOUNTING - Abstract
Purpose: To provide insights into the role of formal and informal accounts in preventing the liquidation of a professional football club and in post-crisis rebuilding. Design/methodology/approach: This case study, framed as a conflict arena, covers an eight-year period of a high-profile struggle over the future of a professional football club. It uses a mixed methods design, including direct engagement with key actors involved in administration proceedings and transformation to a hybrid supporter-owned organisation. Findings: Our findings suggest that within the arena:• formal accounting and governance were of limited use in managing the complex network of relationships and preventing the abuse of power or existential crises. • informal accounting helped mobilise critical resources and maintain supporters' emotional investment during periods of conflict. • informal accounts enabled both resistance and coalition-building in response to perceived abuse of power. • informal accounts were used by the Club as part of its legitimation activities. Originality/value: This study provides theoretical and empirical insights into an unfolding crisis with evidence gathered directly from actors involved in the process. The conceptual framework developed in this paper creates new visibilities and possibilities for developing more effective accounting practices in settings that enable continuing emotional investment from supporters. This paper systematises knowledge of public participation by bringing together existing concepts and theories from planning literature to conceptualise the 3A
3 -framework of participation. The framework presents participation as an emergent phenomenon, shaped by the dimensions: actors, arenas and aims. Each of these dimensions consists of three interacting elements. The framework highlights interdependencies between these elements and reflects them in the light of their embeddedness in planning processes and the wider social, cultural, political, spatial and temporal context. The framework can be used to gain a better understanding of what constitutes the phenomenon of participation. It enables the reflection of different forms of participation and contributes to more nuanced, and context-sensitive conceptions of and approaches to public participation in planning. Young people's everyday lives are not just social and cultural environments, but also political arenas (Kallio and Häkli. 2011. 'Are there politics in childhood?' (Space & Polity 15 (1): 21–34, 2). A methodological approach is proposed that emphasizes young people's knowledge, while accepting the power and privilege of the researcher. By way of illustration, this paper demonstrates how an approach to co-creation of the method, inspired by the idea of a remix or a bricolage, can provide creative tasks as stimuli for the discussion of politics but also legitimizing mechanisms for young expertise and co-creation in the research site itself as a political arena. Specifically, this paper examines how young participants responded to a digital photography task by subverting the task itself, a process which allowed them to remix the model, making them simultaneously in control of the task and dependent upon it. This complex outcome was constructive as a way to stimulate participants as they explored their everyday lives as political arenas. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The relevance of STEM education has been promoted both in Australia and internationally, arising from increasing concerns with the shortages of a highly skilled workforce and economic pressures to increase national competitiveness. Against this backdrop of the global push to embed STEM in schools, this paper explores how Australian schools and teachers responded to this agenda. Employing the notion of relevance, this paper conducted a qualitative case study in an Australian secondary school to address the question: how the broad vision of STEM as a reform agenda was interpreted by teachers and framed in their school. The findings show that focusing on the relevance of STEM points to the potential utility and applicability of STEM when it is integrated into formal schooling, including the ways that STEM can be relevant for students, the curriculum, teaching practices, and the broader STEM context. STEM is made relevant because of these connections and the meanings that arise through that connecting. Moreover, the study illustrates that the teachers' perceptions of the relevance of STEM education was informed by their backgrounds, experiences, and roles in school. Thus, even within one school, there can be different perspectives on how STEM can be made useful and applicable. Understanding these perspectives can be the first step towards the development of a shared vision required to facilitate school change. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Purpose: Places have deep-seated meaning and serve to shape our social grouping and practices. Sporting stadia are a highly influential aspect of many people's lives that drive the inexorable journey towards team affiliation, immersive experiences, intense loyalty and the creation of an enduring, local identity. This paper aims to explore how the nature of a sporting place has been shaped to change the practice of football as a sport, as a business and as entertainment. This paper uncovers how Forest Green Rovers (FGR) differentiates itself from the historical and socio-economic roots of football and uses numerous novel sustainability initiatives to re-imagine a new type of football place, club and fandom. Design/methodology/approach: Over a two-year period, the authors used multiple data collection methods, engaging in participant observation, interviews and focus groups, at FGR and related events. A thematic data analysis was conducted to pinpoint and extract key areas surrounding the unique structures, practices and reinforced behaviours that have developed in FGR. Findings: The findings show that FGR's place operates as a central location through which stakeholders, ideas, resources and practices have been disrupted and re-imagined around the principles of sustainability. This fundamental shift in FGR's place, changing its composition, character and reach, means that FGR can be conceptualised as a novel place synonymous with new global social movements. Originality/value: This study presents unique insights into the world's first socially and environmentally conscious football club. This study examines the construction and operation of the place that facilitates its actions which go beyond what has been seen and maybe expected from commercial sporting institutions. 3-D classroom seating information is of great significance in a host of planning contexts including indoor navigation and facility management. Mapping classroom 3-D seats based on a single-view LiDAR scan is challenging because of occlusions and viewpoint limitations. In essence, one is left with incomplete point clouds, making object recognition difficult. The aim of this paper is to acquire complete point clouds for objects in a room based on a single-view LiDAR scan, focusing in particular on chairs in indoor spaces such as classrooms, lecture halls, theaters, concert venues, and sports arenas. A spatial optimization enabled framework is proposed for 3-D classroom seat mapping from a single-view LiDAR scan. A two-step clustering method is proposed to segment each individual chair object in the LiDAR scan. A chair model is extracted and used to complete other chair point clouds via registration. Notably, a parameter estimation method is devised based on spatial priors and integrated in an iterative closest point optimization approach to refine registration. Applications to multiple classroom scans demonstrate the effectiveness and accuracy of the proposed methodology. The developed segmentation-registration framework harnesses spatial knowledge to complete a single-view LiDAR scan with many identical objects. The resultant object point cloud is critical for navigation, route guidance, facility management, pandemic response and planning, indoor mapping and venue utilization, among others, which require precise and complete spatial information. Identified 3-D chairs extracted from LiDAR scans provide essential information for stakeholders seating configuration, property management, and indoor navigation. A new and challenging problem of completing partial objects from a single-view LiDAR scan is formulated. The developed framework provides a fast and high-precision solution to process single-view LiDAR scans for extracting and restoring incomplete objects by combining spatial knowledge, machine learning, and spatial optimization. Empirical results demonstrate the capability to acquire complete chair point clouds from multiple classroom scans to support planning and policy efforts in mitigating disease spread. This paper aims to investigate how the external random noise affects the dynamics of the predator–prey model with a modified Leslie and foraging arena scheme. The autonomous and non-autonomous systems are both considered. First, some asymptotic behaviors of two species are explored including the threshold point. Then, the existence of an invariant density is deduced, based on the theory elaborated in Pike and Luglato (1987). Moreover, the famous LaSalle-type theorem is applied to investigate weak extinction, which requires weaker parametric restrictions. A numerical study is conducted to illustrate our theory. Despite past projects to "decentre" metronormativity—a societal bias toward queer urban imaginings—in geographical scholarship, attention to suburbia has been limited due, in part, to reliance upon, and reinforcement of, an urban–rural binary that disqualifies the metropolitan periphery. This paper unpacks this binary by reviewing key themes at the intersections of the queer and suburban within the subfields of geographies of sexualities and queer geographies. It begins by outlining the American metronormativities critique and evaluating the claim that the "non‐metropolitan" should be the primary arena for unsettling the queer urban. Four key themes from the Anglo‐American‐Australian literature on the queer suburban are then surveyed: suburbanization processes, suburban relocations, suburban "ways of life," and suburban home‐making. Having evaluated the current state of the subfield, the paper concludes by pointing to the possibilities of the queer suburban for future urban geography and geographies of LGBTQ+ sexualities scholarship. This paper shows that the role of national electoral dynamics on regional elections is highly mediated by institutional and electoral constraints at the regional level. Using data on statewide parties' electoral competition in regional and national elections in Spain and Italy, results show that the contamination of regional elections is lower in regions where decentralization has travelled further and where strong regionalist parties dominate electoral competition. The paper also shows that these two channels -more regional authority and more regionalist competition- shape the regional manifestos of statewide parties by increasing their pro-regional positions. These findings represent a contribution to a better understanding of the extent to which regional elections are a separate electoral arena from the national one. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper investigates a pathway for transforming small and medium enterprise-based industrial districts to eco-industrial development in newly industrialised countries. Our framework conceptualises the eco-transformation of industrial districts as a reassembling process of local-regional industrial networks toward sustainability from an 'arenas of development' perspective, highlighting how an emerging eco-transformation arena may challenge existing unsustainable industrial networks. We employ a case-study method to illuminate how such an eco-transformation arena has emerged in Shunde District in Southern China and evolved in the dimensions of continuity, scale and depth of transformation. The results show the pathway is driven by national policy intervention and local government responses. The subsequent development is likely to shift into a fluid, non-linear process unfolded through the continuing interaction of agenda setting, actors and their relationships, strategies and actions performed, translation projects and spaces of negotiation (i.e. the arena's five components) while being influenced by context and place-specificity. While a plethora of new hydro generation capacity are, being constructed, other forms of energy like solar is still undeveloped in Nepal. As of May 2018, the total installed capacity of Nepal stands at 1060 MW, among which mere 0.68 MW (0.06%) is solar. Solar Rooftop holds potential for development of solar and recognizing this, AEPC had urban solar program with capital subsidy element. In addition, NEA announced Alternative Electricity Connected to Grid 2018, with Feed in Tariff of NRs 7.30 for 3 years paving way for net metering in solar rooftop. This paper discusses the techno-economic feasibility of solar net metering across domestic (both individual and high-rise apartments), commercial and institutional consumers with the FiT offered. The analysis is done in both scenarios; where there is no export to grid and where there is export to the grid possible. Sample data on LCOE and kWh demand for each segment are collected and system size and solar production is calculated using Helioscope. Along with this, rate of return and payback years is calculated with current benchmark pricing and industry wide assumptions. The results of these analyses show higher payback period (6-9 years) and unattractive return (<15%) in the BOOT model for rooftops. Even in segments like high-rise apartments and commercial consumers with minimum 500 kW size where returns are higher (>20%), limitations as rooftop space makes net metering an un-attractive proposition. This paper also provides current policy landscape and envisages addressing policy gaps, and learnings from international arena on success of net-metering including financial incentives and regulations provided to drive the net-metering growth in Nepal. Simple Summary: Turfgrass equine sports surfaces represent only a subset of surfaces used in equine sports but are often used in some of the most high-profile events. The use of grass adds complexity to the management because of the interaction of horseshoe and foot with the surface. The orientation of the roots allows the toe to penetrate the surface while at the same time reinforcing the surface during propulsion. The availability of injury data and the sensitivity of the public to rider and horse safety make safety-related research a primary focus for horse racing. The epidemiological research associated with risk due to surface conditions is generally based on ratings on the turf, typically a qualitative judgment from officials. The focus of this paper is on the use of several commercially available or easily constructed portable instruments which could be used for quantitative ratings. The results suggest that testing conditions may determine the data consistency. As in previous work, caution must be exercised in the interpretation of the results since these tools have not been demonstrated to correlate to either performance or safety of the surface. Turfgrass in equine sports has clear advantages over other types of reinforcement but adds complexity to the management. This study investigates factors that influence the turfgrass' surface performance and how the use of a drainage package and a geotextile reinforcement affect quantitative measurements of turfgrass. The measurements are made using affordable, lightweight testing tools that are readily available or easily constructed. Eight boxes with turfgrass over a mix of the arena with peat at a consistent depth were tested for volumetric moisture content (VMC %) with time–domain reflectometry (TDR), the rotational peak shear device (RPS), the impact test device (ITD), soil cone penetrometer (SCP), and the Going Stick (GS). Results obtained using TDR, RPS, ITD, SCP, and GS indicate that the presence of the geotextile and drainage package was mainly detected by VMC (%), SCP detected geotextile addition, and GS detected the interaction of geotextile × drainage package. Linear regression showed SCP and GS are related to geotextile and was positively correlated between them and negatively with VMC (%). The testing showed some limitations of these devices, mainly related to moisture content and sod composition, but the potential exists to utilize these devices for quality control as well as for the monitoring of maintenance of the surfaces when controlling the range of both VMC (%) and sod constitution. The EU's identity is said to shape its role as a 'normative actor' promoting universal democratic values, including to its neighbourhood. Yet a competing civilizationist version of European identity – increasingly invoked on the radical right – frames Europe as representing 'Judeo-Christian' values in opposition to non-European cultures, especially Islam. This paper argues that these identity variations shape divergent responses to foreign policy challenges, by showing the growing influence of civilizationist discourse on European attitudes towards the Israeli-Palestinian arena. The paper focuses on Austria's 2017–2019 ÖVP-FPÖ coalition to identity links between rising civilizationist politics and significant policy shifts regarding the Israeli-Palestinian arena. Purpose: The objective of stadium owners is to attract visitors to their stadiums and by this optimally use their business potential. Stadiums face increasing competition from home-viewing options, with which especially aging stadiums have trouble competing. This paper aims to study the concept of smart stadiums as a solution to this problem, adding the corona age as an additional challenge. Design/methodology/approach: First, (smart) stadium literature and theories are reviewed. Then, a case study is conducted, consisting of document review, observations and semi-structured interviews with specialists. The case that is studied is the Johan Cruijff Arena in Amsterdam – the stadium has the ambition to be the most innovative stadium in 2020. Findings: Nine different smart tools were identified in the case study, which supports the optimization of various processes in the stadium such as ticketing and crowd control. The findings from this case study showed the potential of the smart stadium concept and how it can add value for the stadium's stakeholders. The use of smart tools can improve the effectiveness and efficiency of stadium operations, and it can be used to improve the visitors' experience. However, concrete numbers of progress were difficult to obtain because the smart tools were only recently implemented. Originality/value: As seen in the past few years, more and more stadiums are branding themselves as a smart stadium. However, research on this subject is still scarce: existing research focused on other types of real estate. By exploring the work done in theory and practice, the authors hope to increase research on the subject of smart stadiums. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

By adequately managing inventories, companies adjust demand and supply over time to provide the necessary goods to meet customer requirements and make a profit. A simulation is a great tool for optimizing inventory management by examining system behavior in a variety of settings. This paper presents a simulation model developed in ARENA software to optimize inventory management, i.e. to determine the level of inventory at which it is necessary to order goods for which the system generates minimal total costs. Sporting events are arenas of emotional bursts, and social media is a place where such emotional irruptions of fans are encoded in their words and button clicks. This study investigates the use of Facebook reactions by sports fans during the most significant world-class sporting events in 2016: the UEFA Euro, the men's football championship of Europe, and the Summer Olympics Games, a major international multi-sport event. Our research challenge is to find out how people react to sports content and underscore the importance of emotional processes in shaping collective outcomes. In the paper, we propose a model for measuring the intensity of emotional charge, in terms of Facebook reactions and virality, and the results show what Facebook users think and feel about both sports events. According to our findings, the Olympics are the sporting arena of "emotions of peace", and the Euro is the sporting arena of "war of emotions". [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In Kenya, the return to the multiparty democracy of the 1990s and the initiation of the Constitutional Review of the early 2000s were two critical junctures that catalysed reform momentum and the development of transnational reform networks. Transnational relations were developed between Kenyan professionals (lawyers and academics among others), their international counterparts, and the local activists representing rural constituencies, so as to influence policymaking during constitutional and land policy reforms. These transnational networks influenced content and shape of land policy narratives by vernacularising the international norms that promote formal recognition of customary land rights. These international norms were not straightforwardly imported into Kenyan policies and statues: intense negotiations amongst actors in policy arenas resulted in their vernacularisation. Kenyan translocal actors appropriated the community land narrative, hybridised and reinterpreted it. This paper documents and analyses how the notion of community land was enshrined in Kenyan policy and constitutional documents through transnational relations. I argue that this notion of community land was shaped to the Kenyan historical and political context, at times defeating the original goal of promoting a property rights model alternative to land privatisation, and at times echoing the colonial category of tribal land, and exclusive territorial control. This article aims to explore the genesis of arenas as an interorganizational relation space that can promote, or at least cleave, the path for corporate crimes. Based the scenario in which Brazil eradicated slavery, we argue there has been the creation of dynamic arenas and counter-arenas as spaces for avoiding or promoting corporate crimes, while the state has played the role of facilitator in such crimes. This paper asserts that promotion and prevention of corporate crimes are both legitimate actions by the state in its regime of permission, and every single actor who play in this field through arenas. In order to map the key elements of these arenas, our investigation is based on the techniques of shadowing, in-depth interviews, and field observation. After building our data pool, we analysed the phenomena mostly through open, axial, and selective coding, based on the Grounded Theory approach as a mean for categorization. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The paper uses qualitative analysis in the public transport arena to provide a thorough understanding of governing coalitions in Mexican cities and expand Urban Regime Analysis to the context of Mexico. The evidence suggests that Mexican urban regimes are organic-instrumental. In such regimes, private economic interests play a key role; the state government becomes the leading actor, and its collaborative management capabilities become crucial to achieving coalition goals and preserve the alliance between actors. About multilevel governance, the cases show that the differences in the party affiliations of authorities are insignificant for collaboration when an urban regime exists. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

POLITICAL agenda ,CULTURAL pluralism ,ARENAS ,SCHOLARSHIPS - Abstract
Academic scholarship on boundary making in India is disproportionately concentrated on state boundaries. Isolated attention given to other areas fails to adopt a holistic framework. The present paper traces the evolving rationales of delimiting district boundary, scheduled area boundary, and parliamentary constituency boundary. It further attempts to find a common thread to organize the boundary making principles in different arenas. Since its inception, India has embarked on a path of steady decentralization. Initially, the State reorganization commission and several constituency delimitation commissions tried to implement a pan-Indian objective. Ethnic diversity was gradually recognized in boundary making from 1970 onward, most notably in the Northeast. A drive toward ever smaller states and districts is observed under the "small is better" paradigm since 1990s. Overall, boundary making in India is intricately intertwined with political agenda and is increasingly being used for electoral expedience over achieving cardinal visions. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Translation in itself is an expanded arena. If we perceive it in the context of multy languages, it becomes more illustrious, eminent and noteable for numerous things. Every language in the world has different forms of functions; each function has diverse levels of styles. While shifting one meaning from one language into another language, many tools start working spontaneously. These tools that had incorporated into both source and target languages occasionally unable to convey all meanings and sometimes these two languages are incapable to receive each other at certain levels. The capability and incapability mostly come through grammatical glitch that is the major reason of the translation problem. In this paper, this issue is exemplified through a piercing analysis of the two languages, Urdu and Arabic. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In philosophical analyses of the value of sport, a relatively unheralded feature is the opportunity that sport offers for admiration. While we readily salute many of the things that people admire (the amazing catch, the sensational comeback), we do not sufficiently appreciate that admiration itself is a positive good that is beneficial to the admirer. At a time when much in the world around us seems distinctly unadmirable and when admiration itself is often dismissed as naïve, athletic achievements and the qualities that propel them present palpable counter-evidence to our darker conclusions. Shining a spotlight on sports' displays of human beings doing difficult things can pay healthy dividends, as admiration fuels aspiration. The paper proceeds in four stages. It first explains what admiration is and then identifies the kinds of things that sport distinctly offers, to admire. The heart of it demonstrates the value of athletic admiration, tracing how this contributes to a flourishing life in three principal ways: through the role-modeling that it offers, the action that it encourages and the feelings that it fosters. Finally, the paper considers four possible objections, which serves both to clarify and to fortify its central contention. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The paper is focused on transformation of an ordinary person into a celebrity. Starting from definitions of celebrity and celebrity culture, online celebrity will be conceptualized by looking specifically at the sequence pattern: success in particular field―media-mediated fame―a celebrity status, which is typical for the media-mediated fame in the traditional, i.e. offline media, in opposition to the sequence pattern present in the online arena: self-presentation―self-media-mediated fame―a community celebrity status―success in the field. What they have in common is that leaders are firstly labelled “famous person” before they become celebrities. This paper has aimed to contribute to theorizing the role of online media in circulation of media-mediated fame. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Emerging out of the shadows cast over women's football following its marginalisation by the Football Association in the inter-war years, Fodens Ladies, formed at a lorry manufacturing plant in Sandbach, Cheshire, contributed to a new vibrancy in the game between 1960 and 1980. Emulating many similar works-based predecessors, the team established itself as one of the pioneers of a female football revival and provided a public arena for several prominent international players of the period. From its early days playing charity matches the company team became a regular participant in the Butlin's Cup, winning it in 1969 and 1970, before beating Southampton in the 1974 Mitre Cup final. The team also undertook overseas tours with team members receiving only minimal support from the company. This paper draws on private personal archives, company records, holdings at the National Football Museum, national and local newspapers, and an in-house magazine, The Foden News, to situate the team within the context of Fodens Ltd and the wider context of women's football in the 1960s and 1970s. The paper concludes by signposting the next phase of research, which will explore in detail the biographies of key individuals involved in the Fodens team during this period. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

This paper summarizes the basic theory of emotion calculation and explains the concept of emotion. The classification and expression of emotion are given in this paper. It summarizes the research content of emotion calculation and introduces the typical emotion application system and the emotion model based on many kinds of ways. Based on Ian Wilson's three-layer structure model, the human emotional system is divided into three levels of personality, mood and emotion, which establishes the personality space, mood space and emotional space in turn. At the same time, the interaction between the audiences' immediate neighbors is introduced into the traditional personality model according to the characteristics of the arena environment. The emotional computing model of the audience in the group environment is established, and the model is tested by experiments. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The "severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 (SARS-CoV-2)" is the third member of human coronavirus (CoV) that is held accountable for the current "coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19)" pandemic. In the past two decades, the world has witnessed the emergence of two other similar CoVs, namely SARS-CoV in 2002 and MERS-CoV in 2013. The extent of spread of these earlier versions was relatively low in comparison to SARS-CoV-2. Despite having numerous reports inclined towards the zoonotic origin of the virus, one cannot simply sideline the fact that no animal originated CoV is thus far identified that is considered similar to the initial edition of SARS-CoV-2; however, under-sampling of the diverse variety of coronaviruses remains a concern. Vaccines are proved to be an effective tool for bringing the end to such a devastating pandemic. Many vaccine platforms are explored for the same but in this review paper, we will discuss the potential of replicating viral vectors as vaccine carriers for SARS-CoV-2. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The Lands Pathway is a fundamental biochemical process named for its discovery by William EM Lands and revealed in a series of seminal papers published in the Journal of Biological Chemistry between 1958–65. It describes the selective placement in phospholipids of acyl chains, by phospholipid acyltransferases. This pathway has formed a core component of our knowledge of phospholipid and also diglyceride metabolism in mammalian tissues for over 60 years now. Our understanding of how the Lands pathways are enzymatically mediated via large families of related gene products that display both substrate and tissue specificity has grown exponentially since. Recent studies building on this are starting to reveal key roles for the Lands pathway in specific scenarios, in particular inflammation, immunity and inflammation. This review will cover the Lands cycle from historical perspectives first, then present new information on how this important cycle forms a central regulatory node connecting fatty acyl and phospholipid metabolism and how its altered regulation may present new opportunities for therapeutic intervention in human disease. Due to on growing human interventions in every arena of nature, the balance in the natural functioning of a human body has been disturbed. Nowadays, it is almost impossible to find entities that support lives in their nascent forms. The food we eat, the home we dwell in, the modes we take to travel, the modes of our entertainments, and so on, are so much artificial that we almost fail to recognize its natural counterpart. This is not only affecting the natural evolution of life, but also impregnating the existing life structure with loads of undesirable malfunctioning. Hypertension, depression, aggression, cancers, etc., are some of the medical conditions that are identified as the implications of sedentary and/or hyper-engaged lifestyle. We have defined these problems as deviations of mind and body from its native characteristics that, in this paper, are defined as excessive cognitive conditioning. While external tangible repercussions of interventions in nature may be natural disasters and calamities, its impact on human body could be Physical, Psychological, and Psychosomatic (P3) disorders. In this paper, we present a process called Active Transformation of Mind and Body through Abundant Natural Methods, or ATMAN to deal with the P3 disorders in human body and mind and to minimize these deviations with least of efforts and accessories. The research work discussed in this paper are qualitative by nature, and thus foresees an ample scope for it to cascade with wireless technologies, especially the machine-to-machine oriented communications, such as 5G, and more futuristic such as Human Bond Communications Beyond 2050, for efficient and prompt information dissemination and analysis. We investigate international medical travel between Indonesia and Malaysia through the conceptual lens of sociality, transnational social space and therapeutic mobilities. Drawing upon narratives of local persons, medical traveller-patients, accompanying family members, hospital staff and medical travel facilitators, we illustrate how multifaceted linkages and processes generate and sustain the flow of patients across the border. In these narratives, we see multiple mobilities articulate and cross-cut in the building of transnational connections. This paper stretches the concept of transnational social space to apply to medical travel and contributes to the literature framing of international medical travel as a complex and multifaceted arena.
