Purpose: This study aims to mediate the impact of workplace stress and job satisfaction on nurses' perception of training. It sheds light on the links between job satisfaction, Certified Nursing Assistants' perception of training and workplace stress in nursing homes. Design/methodology/approach: A cross-sectional questionnaire was distributed in 12 different elderly home care centres in Northern Cyprus during September to October 2017. The sampling frame consists of 317 full-time Certified Nursing Assistants who completed measures of perception of training, job satisfaction and workplace stress. This paper used structural equation modelling to test a theoretical model and hypothesis. Findings: The findings emphasize that Certified Nursing Assistants' perception of training has a positive impact on their job satisfaction and negative impact on workplace stress while workplace stress mediates the relationship between their perception of training and job satisfaction. The results indicate that while the motivation for training and support for training have an effect on job satisfaction, access to training and benefits for training do not yield any significant impact on it and workplace stress plays a mediating role. Originality/value: This study confirms that the CNAs' perception of training and job stress affect the emergence of job satisfaction, and workplace stress mediated the relation between training and satisfaction posited by social exchange theory.

This study explores the consequences of self-leadership on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and innovative behaviors of teachers. For this purpose, a field study was conducted with the data gathered from 440 primary school teachers who work in different cities. To test the research hypotheses, correlation and regression analysis were conducted. Results showed that self-leadership behaviors had significant effects on job satisfaction, organizational commitment and innovation. Findings revealed that self-reward and self-punishment strategies had no effect on dependent variables while self-observation and focusing thoughts on natural rewards had the strongest impacts. Also, it was found that some of the demographic variables had effects on some of the factors.

The study was employed to a group of teachers and their supervisors. The results indicated that job satisfaction and commitment to the school had an impact on OCBs of the teachers and organizational commitment mediated the relation between job satisfaction and OCB. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of burnout on organizational citizenship behavior (OCB) in a mediating model in which the job satisfaction was contextual state. Data were obtained from 257 nurses from three university hospitals. While the data involving burnout and job satisfaction were gathered from the nurses, OCB data were obtained from supervisors. The findings of hierarchical regression analysis demonstrated that the only contributor burnout dimension on OCB-O (ODB toward organization) was the reduced personal accomplishment while emotional exhaustion and depersonalization had no effect. Also the findings of mediation analysis showed that job satisfaction is a mediator in the relation between reduced personal accomplishment and OCB-O and it is not a mediating factor in relation between all three burnout dimensions and OCB-I (OCB toward individuals) [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
