G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) and G proteins transmit signals from hormones and neurotransmitters across cell membranes, initiating downstream signaling and modulating cellular behavior. Using advanced computer modeling and simulation, we identified atomistic-level structural, dynamic, and energetic mechanisms of norepinephrine (NE) and stimulatory G protein (Gs) interactions with β-adrenergic receptors (βARs), crucial GPCRs for heart function regulation and major drug targets. Our analysis revealed distinct binding behaviors of NE within β1AR and β2AR despite identical orthosteric binding pockets. β2AR had an additional binding site, explaining variations in NE binding affinities. Simulations showed significant differences in NE dissociation pathways and receptor interactions with the Gs. β1AR binds Gs more strongly, while β2AR induces greater conformational changes in the α subunit of Gs. Furthermore, GTP and GDP binding to Gs may disrupt coupling between NE and βAR, as well as between βAR and Gs. These findings may aid in designing precise βAR-targeted drugs.

Small-conductance Ca2+-activated K+ channels (SK, KCa2) are gated solely by intracellular microdomain Ca2+. The channel has emerged as a therapeutic target for cardiac arrhythmias. Calmodulin (CaM) interacts with the CaM binding domain (CaMBD) of the SK channels, serving as the obligatory Ca2+ sensor to gate the channels. In heterologous expression systems, phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2) coordinates with CaM in regulating SK channels. However, the roles and mechanisms of PIP2 in regulating SK channels in cardiomyocytes remain unknown. Here, optogenetics, magnetic nanoparticles, combined with Rosetta structural modeling, and molecular dynamics (MD) simulations revealed the atomistic mechanisms of how PIP2 works in concert with Ca2+-CaM in the SK channel activation. Our computational study affords evidence for the critical role of the amino acid residue R395 in the S6 transmembrane segment, which is localized in propinquity to the intracellular hydrophobic gate. This residue forms a salt bridge with residue E398 in the S6 transmembrane segment from the adjacent subunit. Both R395 and E398 are conserved in all known isoforms of SK channels. Our findings suggest that the binding of PIP2 to R395 residue disrupts the R395:E398 salt bridge, increasing the flexibility of the transmembrane segment S6 and the activation of the channel. Importantly, our findings serve as a platform for testing of structural-based drug designs for therapeutic inhibitors and activators of the SK channel family. The study is timely since inhibitors of SK channels are currently in clinical trials to treat atrial arrhythmias.

Human voltage-gated sodium (hNaV) channels are responsible for initiating and propagating action potentials in excitable cells, and mutations have been associated with numerous cardiac and neurological disorders. hNaV1.7 channels are expressed in peripheral neurons and are promising targets for pain therapy. The tarantula venom peptide protoxin-II (PTx2) has high selectivity for hNaV1.7 and is a valuable scaffold for designing novel therapeutics to treat pain. Here, we used computational modeling to study the molecular mechanisms of the state-dependent binding of PTx2 to hNaV1.7 voltage-sensing domains (VSDs). Using Rosetta structural modeling methods, we constructed atomistic models of the hNaV1.7 VSD II and IV in the activated and deactivated states with docked PTx2. We then performed microsecond-long all-atom molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of the systems in hydrated lipid bilayers. Our simulations revealed that PTx2 binds most favorably to the deactivated VSD II and activated VSD IV. These state-specific interactions are mediated primarily by PTx2's residues R22, K26, K27, K28, and W30 with VSD and the surrounding membrane lipids. Our work revealed important protein-protein and protein-lipid contacts that contribute to high-affinity state-dependent toxin interaction with the channel. The workflow presented will prove useful for designing novel peptides with improved selectivity and potency for more effective and safe treatment of pain.

The article touches upon the problem of influence of extreme geomagnetic activity on geophysical research and operations in the northern regions. The paper gives brief information about the nature and localization of the extreme geomagnetic disturbances, and considers how geomagnetic disturbances affect geophysical operations in the auroral oval zone. On the example of the geomagnetic storm that occurred on October 29–30, 2003, it is shown how the magnetic field components and magnetic declination change within one magnetic observatory. It is shown how the values of magnetic declination deviation from the norm change on the example of the stations located in latitudes 78.92°–58.26°

Cardiac function is tightly regulated by the autonomic nervous system (ANS). Activation of the sympathetic nervous system increases cardiac output by increasing heart rate and stroke volume, while parasympathetic nerve stimulation instantly slows heart rate. Importantly, imbalance in autonomic control of the heart has been implicated in the development of arrhythmias and heart failure. Understanding of the mechanisms and effects of autonomic stimulation is a major challenge because synapses in different regions of the heart result in multiple changes to heart function. For example, nerve synapses on the sinoatrial node (SAN) impact pacemaking, while synapses on contractile cells alter contraction and arrhythmia vulnerability. Here, we present a multiscale neurocardiac modelling and simulator tool that predicts the effect of efferent stimulation of the sympathetic and parasympathetic branches of the ANS on the cardiac SAN and ventricular myocardium. The model includes a layered representation of the ANS and reproduces firing properties measured experimentally. Model parameters are derived from experiments and atomistic simulations. The model is a first prototype of a digital twin that is applied to make predictions across all system scales, from subcellular signalling to pacemaker frequency to tissue level responses. We predict conditions under which autonomic imbalance induces proarrhythmia and can be modified to prevent or inhibit arrhythmia. In summary, the multiscale model constitutes a predictive digital twin framework to test and guide high-throughput prediction of novel neuromodulatory therapy. KEY POINTS: A multi-layered model representation of the autonomic nervous system that includes sympathetic and parasympathetic branches, each with sparse random intralayer connectivity, synaptic dynamics and conductance based integrate-and-fire neurons generates firing patterns in close agreement with experiment. A key feature of the neurocardiac computational model is the connection between the autonomic nervous system and both pacemaker and contractile cells, where modification to pacemaker frequency drives initiation of electrical signals in the contractile cells. We utilized atomic-scale molecular dynamics simulations to predict the association and dissociation rates of noradrenaline with the β-adrenergic receptor. Multiscale predictions demonstrate how autonomic imbalance may increase proclivity to arrhythmias or be used to terminate arrhythmias. The model serves as a first step towards a digital twin for predicting neuromodulation to prevent or reduce disease.

The works in the field of radiation materials science of target materials of neutron sources based on the subcritical assemblies controlled by linear accelerators of electrons or protons, so-called accelerator driven systems (ADS), are reviewed. Now, electronuclear ADS systems are the prototype of safe nuclear reactors of the 5th generation. In connection with the physical start-up of the neutron source facility of the National Scientific Centre ‘Kharkiv Institute of Physics and Technology’ of the N.A.S. of Ukraine (NSC ‘KhIPT’ NASU), the target of which is fabricated from powdered tungsten covered with tantalum, the issues of preparation technology, construction, and physical and mechanical properties of W–Ta materials of targets in non-irradiated and irradiated states are considered. The nuclear-physical processes of radiation damage to the target during co-irradiation of it with both neutrons of a subcritical assembly and high-energy e- and γ-beams are analyzed. The target resources of ADS systems are estimated. As noted, the difficulty of predicting the ‘survivability’ of the W–Ta target also relates to the fact that, except for the works carried out at the NSC ‘KhIPT’ NASU in 70–90th of the last century, there are no experimental works in the world on the radiation damage of reactor materials by high-energy electrons with an energy of 100 MeV and above.

Objective: to clarify the indications for the use of nephron-sparing technologies in surgical treatment of patients with retroperitoneal sarcomas. Material and Methods. The study included 64 patients with primary retroperitoneal sarcomas with kidney and renal pedicle invasion, who underwent surgical treatment in the Thoracic-abdominal Department of the P.A. Herzen Moscow Oncology Research Institute from 2010 to 2021. Twenty-one patients underwent nephrectomies, and 43 patients underwent nephron-sparing surgery. The morphological profile of sarcomas, age and gender of the patients, feasibility of using nephron-sparing technologies, postoperative complications, and long-term outcomes in patients of both groups were analyzed. Results. Forty-three patients with primary retroperitoneal sarcomas with invasion of the renal parenchyma, ureter, and renal pedicle underwent nephron-sparing surgery (precision mobilization of the kidney, ureter and vascular structures of the kidney from tumor tissue, kidney resection, ureteral stenting, resection of the renal vein orifices, resection of the ureters, and kidney autotransplantation). Postoperative complications were observed in 19.0 % of nephrectomy group patients (4 pts: II, IIIB, IV and V types according to Clavien–Dindo) and in 30.2 % of nephron-sparing group patients (15 pts: types II – 8, IIIA – 1, IIIB – 3, IV – 1). No statistical differences in the relapse-free period and survival time between two groups were observed. The 1-, 3- and 5-year survival rates were 84.1 %, 65.9 %, and 51.4 %, respectively. Multifactorial analysis showed that mortality increased significantly in patients over 64 years of age and was associated with both disease recurrence and concomitant pathology (p=0.009). There was also a trend toward decreased survival in patients with leiomyosarcoma (p=0.066). Conclusion. In retroperitoneal sarcomas, tumor resection with preservation of organs and structures not directly invaded by the tumor is the optimal surgical strategy. Nephron-sparing technologies do not worsen both immediate and long-term treatment outcomes. For leiomyosarcoma, tumor resection with nephrectomy is the most suitable approach.

The article discusses the methods of substitution of a compound motor load as a consumer of higher harmonics. Two substitution schemes were used. The calculation of the complex resistance against them was compared with the results of simulation modeling. The simulation was carried out in the MATLAB Simulink environment, with the use of the Specialized Power Systems library, in which a simulation model with motors and a source of harmonic distortion was developed. Five asynchronous motors with a squirrel-cage rotor of the AIR brand with powers varying from 0.75 to 5.50 kW were selected for the study. The simulation was carried out at different motor loads. The shaft torque varied with values of 50; 70; 90 and 100 % of the nominal values of each motor. A six-pulse diode rectifier was used as a source of harmonic currents in the network, generating harmonics with numbers 5, 7, ..., 25, corresponding to a pulse rate equal to six. Oscillograms of currents and voltages were recorded at the point of common connection of asynchronous motors and the rectifier, which were subsequently used to calculate the complex resistance. Based on the results of the work, amplitude-frequency and phase-frequency characteristics of the impedance of a composite motor load were obtained, the analysis of which revealed the incongruence of calculation methods with simulation modeling. Conclusions have been drawn on the need to continue research in this direction, since there are qualitative discrepancies in the functional dependence of the complex resistance on the harmonic number with the experimental data obtained for a single asynchronous motor. The results of the work can be used in calculating the voltage distortion factor and modeling modes associated with higher harmonics both at existing enterprises and during their design, which will increase the reliability and efficiency of electrical networks.

The relevance of the topic under consideration on the development of universal applied methods for assessing the effectiveness and efficiency of industrial policy in the military-industrial complex (hereinafter - MIC) is due to its high practical significance in the context of the challenges of technological development associated with digitalization and informatization. It is also due to the peculiarities of the current stage of Russia’s economic development in the conditions of financial and technological sanctions from Western states. The purpose of the study is to develop the main provisions of a methodological approach to assessing the effectiveness of industrial policy in the defense industry based on the use of economic-mathematical modeling apparatus, which involves the construction of neural networks based on fuzzy logic. In the course of the research the authors have solved the following problems: mathematically formalized the object of analysis; developed an algorithm for determining the effectiveness of industrial policy in the MIC using neural networks; formalized the model for assessing the effectiveness of such industrial policy based on fuzzy sets; proposed a system of indicators for assessing industrial policy in the MIC; determined the sequence of actions in the construction the fuzzy model for assessing the effectiveness of industrial policy in the MIC by means of Fuzzy Logic on the software platform MatLab.

Patients and Methods: 29 UM patients (30 eyes; age: 23–87 years) received a course of hypofractionated PT at a total dose of 49 Gy in 7 fractions (BED 0.6=620 Gy; EQD2=143 Gy). After the therapy, radiation-related complications developed in 26 patients at various times, and in some cases they affected multiple systems. Ocular hypertension was reported in 13 patients, and NVG developed in 9 of them. NVG predictors were evaluated in groups of NVG patients (Study Group/SG 1) and non-NVG ones (SG 2) with a ≥6-month follow-up (n=22) after the end of the PT course. Results: the NVG group demonstrated lower best corrected visual acuity (BCVA) and total visual field loss (along 8 meridians, in degrees) values, as well as pre-treatment Bruch's membrane rupture and more advanced stage of the disease significantly (p Conclusion: the study revealed some possible predictors of neovascular glaucoma development that should be considered to select patients for pencil-beam scanning PT in terms of organ preservation UM treatment. Further study of the issue in a larger patient cohort and a longer follow-up will provide identification of additional risk factors for NVG and generation of a mathematical prediction model of the complication development. Abstract Research on chipless and passive architectures for environmental sensing is generating high interest because they do not require any semiconductor components or batteries to operate, thus resulting in an eco‐friendlier footprint. This study demonstrates a printed microstrip line with multiple resonators using biodegradable materials to continuously monitor temperature and relative humidity (RH). Constructed with a paper substrate and printed zinc conductive lines, and encapsulated with beeswax to protect against the interference of humidity, the microstrip line integrates spiral‐shaped resonators. One resonator operates at 1.2 GHz for temperature sensing, while another, coated with konjac glucomannan serves for relative humidity sensing at 2 GHz. The multi‐resonating features allow for a simultaneous assessment of temperature and humidity. The microstrip line displays a linear sensitivity to temperature of −1.35 MHz °C−1 and a non‐linear relative humidity sensitivity ranging between −0.8 and −8 MHz/%RH from 30% to 70% RH. Its degradation in a lab‐made compost for 70 days shows the removal of the transducing layer in 7 days and degradation of the cellulosic substrate starting after 5 weeks. The developed environmental sensing devices are notably promising for future applications in smart packaging and the tracking of goods aiming at the minimization of electronic waste.

This article analyses the activities of the Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) in the preparation and implementation of measures for the zoning of the Urals within the framework of the administrative-territorial reform of 1923. The main source base for the research was the archival material from the following funds: the Administrative Commission under the Presidium of the All-Russian Central Executive Committee (GARF), State Planning Committee of the USSR (RGAE), Organising Bureau and Secretariat of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) of the VIII–XIII convocation (RGASPI), Sverdlovsk Regional Committee of the CPSU, Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) (CDOOSO). The article shows the key role of the Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) in coordinating the activities of the regional economic bodies directly involved in the planning of zoning — the Ural Economic Council (Uralekoso), the Ural Industrial Bureau (Uralpromburo), the Ural Planning Commission (Uralplan), as well as the Party and Soviet authorities involved in the direct implementation of zoning measures. During the work on zoning, the Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) carried out a number of preparatory measures and resolved both fundamental and auxiliary technical issues. With the direct participation of the Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b), the most important documents (resolutions, proposals, instructions, orders) devoted to zoning in the Urals were approved. The article proves that the Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) directly controlled the process and content of zoning. The key issues during the formation of Ural Oblast were the creation and staffing of authorities and management at various levels, as well as the issue of the external borders of Ural Oblast. The regional party body was involved in reorganising the party, Soviet, and economic bodies of the oblast at various levels. To solve the territorial problem, the Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b) had to appeal to the central authorities and negotiate with neighbouring regions on territorial disputes. The author concludes that the Ural Bureau of the Central Committee of the RCP(b), using all the accumulated experience of managing political, economic and social processes in large territories, managed to implement the administrative and territorial reform in the Urals relatively painlessly and successfully.

G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) represent the largest group of membrane receptors for transmembrane signal transduction. Ligand-induced activation of GPCRs triggers G protein activation followed by various signaling cascades. Understanding the structural and energetic determinants of ligand binding to GPCRs and GPCRs to G proteins is crucial to the design of pharmacological treatments targeting specific conformations of these proteins to precisely control their signaling properties. In this study, we focused on interactions of a prototypical GPCR, beta-2 adrenergic receptor (β2AR), with its endogenous agonist, norepinephrine (NE), and the stimulatory G protein (Gs). Using molecular dynamics (MD) simulations, we demonstrated the stabilization of cationic NE, NE(+), binding to β2AR by Gs protein recruitment, in line with experimental observations. We also captured the partial dissociation of the ligand from β2AR and the conformational interconversions of Gs between closed and open conformations in the NE(+)-β2AR-Gs ternary complex while it is still bound to the receptor. The variation of NE(+) binding poses was found to alter Gs α subunit (Gsα) conformational transitions. Our simulations showed that the interdomain movement and the stacking of Gsα α1 and α5 helices are significant for increasing the distance between the Gsα and β2AR, which may indicate a partial dissociation of Gsα The distance increase commences when Gsα is predominantly in an open state and can be triggered by the intracellular loop 3 (ICL3) of β2AR interacting with Gsα, causing conformational changes of the α5 helix. Our results help explain molecular mechanisms of ligand and GPCR-mediated modulation of G protein activation.

The human ether-a-go-go-related gene (hERG) not only encodes a potassium-selective voltage-gated ion channel essential for normal electrical activity in the heart but is also a major drug anti-target. Genetic hERG mutations and blockage of the channel pore by drugs can cause long QT syndrome, which predisposes individuals to potentially deadly arrhythmias. However, not all hERG-blocking drugs are proarrhythmic, and their differential affinities to discrete channel conformational states have been suggested to contribute to arrhythmogenicity. We used Rosetta electron density refinement and homology modeling to build structural models of open-state hERG channel wild-type and mutant variants (Y652A, F656A, and Y652A/F656 A) and a closed-state wild-type channel based on cryo-electron microscopy structures of hERG and EAG1 channels. These models were used as protein targets for molecular docking of charged and neutral forms of amiodarone, nifekalant, dofetilide, d/l-sotalol, flecainide, and moxifloxacin. We selected these drugs based on their different arrhythmogenic potentials and abilities to facilitate hERG current. Our docking studies and clustering provided atomistic structural insights into state-dependent drug-channel interactions that play a key role in differentiating safe and harmful hERG blockers and can explain hERG channel facilitation through drug interactions with its open-state hydrophobic pockets.

A large number of agricultural lands are located in close proximity to large cities, and therefore industrial enterprises and highways, which leads to inevitable soil contamination with heavy metals, of which cadmium is the most toxic. Also, due to a decrease in the rate of liming and the use of mineral fertilizers, aluminum ions accumulate in acidic soils. Currently, a search is underway among various plant species that exhibit resistance to the effects of toxicants and are capable of their gradual removal (phytoextraction) from the environment. Representatives from the legume family ( Fabaceae ) can be considered as potential candidates along with Cereals ( Poáceae ) and Brassicas ( Brassicáceae ). Studies conducted in this work with different tolerant genotypes of common pea (the wild sensitive line SGE, and the resistant mutant SGECDt created on its basis) showed that pre-sowing treatment of seeds with microelements in the form of selenium and silicon had a different effect on the selected genotypes. Silicon had a more pronounced stress-protective effect, stimulating the growth of both species. However, in some variants it reduced the degree of removal and fixation of toxicants in biomass, which is not suitable for use in phytoextraction technology. Selenium, on the contrary, further inhibited yield, but promoted greater accumulation of aluminum in shoots. The bimetallic type of pollution manifested itself in a decrease in the accumulation of toxicants in biomass in both genotypes by an average of 14.0%, compared with the monoelement type. Treatment with selenium and silicon here generally did not change the picture we observed in comparison with the monoelement type of pollution.

Recovery after traumatic plexitis is a complex and lengthy process that requires rehabilitation measures involving the use of both conventional methods, such as drug therapy, therapeutic exercise, physical therapy, and psychological counseling, and innovative technologies, such as EXAR 34 passive upper limb exoskeleton.

The article describes a numerical-analytical model for gas breakthrough to a well during the development of oil fields with a gas cap using horizontal wells. The employed semi-analytical model allows describing the process of gas cone development and reproducing oil and gas production parameters from the well by matching to the actual production history using several coefficients. The numerical scheme of the model was implemented as a computational library in the Python 3.6 programming language.The algorithm was tested on oil deposits with a gas cap in the South Yamal oil and gas region and showed good results in history matching and forecasting calculations. The average calculation time of one iteration being less than 10 seconds allows for multiple model run scenarios using optimization algorithms for automatic calibration to actual production data. The results of the testing show the possibility of achieving satisfactory convergence using automated calibration to the production history. The developed algorithm reduces the workload of specialists in forecasting production, thereby enhancing the effectiveness of decisions made for development optimization.

The article is devoted to studying the possibility of using the WaveLetNN artificial neural network to analyze the results of remote phytosanitary monitoring of early detection of plants in potato plantings affected by late blight. Various methods for analyzing the spectral characteristics of plant reflection are considered, including the classification method. To detect plants infected with late blight, the WaveLetNN neural network analyzes the light reflective characteristics of potato plants obtained as a result of research (in the range of 300–1100 nm) and calculates the cognitive significance index (CSI = 0...10), which characterizes the intensity of biochemical processes inside plants aimed at countering phytopathogenic microflora. It was found that a significant increase in the CSI index signals infection of plants by phytopathogenic microflora and activation of protective biochemical processes on the part of plants. To reliably indicate infected plants, the WaveLetNN neural network underwent test training on a large number of light reflectance spectra of uninfected plants and plants artificially infected with late blight. The spectral reflectance characteristics of infected and uninfected plants were measured during 3, 4, 7 and 8 days after infection. Processing the obtained spectra using the WaveLetNN neural network made it possible to identify significant differences between the second- and third-order spectral characteristics of uninfected and late blight infected plants on the third day after infection. Moreover, for infected plants the CSI index values were 6.1...6.7, and CSI for healthy plants – 1.9...2.5. The Wave-LetNN neural network eliminates the influence on the light reflectance spectra of the spatial arrangement of plant leaves, unevenness of the soil surface and shading of individual sections of the field, normalizing the spectra to the total intensity of light reflected from the leaves. Thus, the WaveLetNN neural network can be used as the software core of online systems for remote phytosanitary monitoring of potato plants.

Anatomy is increasingly taught using computer-assisted learning tools, including electronic interactive anatomy dissection tables. Anatomage was he first virtual anatomy dissection table introduced in Russian medical universities and gained popularity among lecturers and students. The Pirogov interactive anatomy table was recently released, but the strengths and weakness of each platform is currently unknown. The objective of this article is to survey lecturers in anatomy to understand their perspectives on the Pirogov versus Anatomage virtual dissection tables' application to teaching in medical universities. A total of 80 anatomy educators from 12 Russian universities, using Anatomage (n = 40) and Pirogov (n = 40) tables were surveyed regarding their satisfaction with the application of the respective tables. Using a five-point Likert scale, both tables were assessed, and responses were statistically analyzed. In addition, qualitative analysis was performed on free response comments provided by survey respondents. There was no significant difference in overall satisfaction ratings between Pirogov (4.38 ± 0.53) and Anatomage (3.94 ± 0.60) interactive tables (p > 0.05). The Anatomage table ranked significantly higher on the accuracy of displayed anatomical details, resolution of the images, and its suitability for teaching senior medical and postgraduate students. Pirogov table performed significantly better on survey items measuring ergonomics, ability to assess students' performance, and teaching basic anatomy to junior first- and second-year medical students. Thus, in summary, anatomists' responses indicated that while both tables are suitable for teaching anatomy, the Pirogov table was superior in undergraduate medical education and the Anatomage table was more beneficial for teaching more senior trainees.

Growing organic microgreens indoors requires a unified technological procedure with various external elicitors. The quality of seedlings depends on their ability to accumulate essential microelements. This research assessed the nutrient profile of mustard microgreens using the method of fractal calculation with repeating numerical series. The experiment involved mustard (Brássica júncea L.) of the Nika variety grown in a closed box for 15 days under aggregation with an intensive 16-h photocycle (440 µmoL m2/s). The plants were inoculated with the endomycorrhizal fungus Glomus mos- seae. A solution of fulvic acids (100 mg/L) served as a stabilizing organic additive and was introduced into the coconut substrate. The physical treatment included weak static electromagnetic field with magnetic induction (20 mT). The elemental analysis was performed by inductively coupled plasma atomic emission spectrometry on an ICPE-9000 device (Shimadzu, Japan). According to the calculated indices of the microelement biocomposition, the best result belonged to the sample treated with fulvic acids and weak electromagnetic field (IndBcomL = 0.27). The resulting biomass of dry powder for elemental analysis was 10.2 g, which was twice as high as the values obtained in the control sample, not subjected to any external influences (5.2 g). All the variants with mycorrhization produced no positive effect on the total pool of microelements during vegetation. The increase in biomass averaged as low as 20%. Zinc increased by 33.3% while aluminum and iron decreased by 59.5 and 18.0%, respectively. The neural network analysis of the microelements in mustard microgreens proved effective as a mathematical model for biochemical diagnostics of biomass quality. The method could be used to optimize the biotechnological process for other indoor crops as it makes it possible to partially substitute mineral fertilizers with organic and bacterial complex.
