In this paper, the dynamics of a discrete-time chemostat model were investigated. The discretization was obtained using the piecewise constant argument method. An analysis was performed to determine the existence and stability of fixed points. In addition, we have shown that the model experiences transcritical and period-doubling bifurcations. Two chaos control techniques, feedback control and hybrid control, were employed to control bifurcation and chaos in the model. Moreover, we provided numerical simulations to substantiate our theoretical results. In recent years, conventional Ricker maps have enjoyed widespread applications across crucial domains such as modeling and security. However, their limitation to a single changeable parameter poses constraints on their adaptability. This paper introduces a generalized form of the Ricker map, incorporating arbitrary powers, thus offering enhanced versatility compared to the traditional Ricker map. By introducing an additional parameter (arbitrary power), the map gains increased degrees of freedom, thereby accommodating a broader spectrum of applications. Consequently, the conventional Ricker map emerges as merely a special case within each proposed framework. This newfound parameter enhances system flexibility and elucidates the conventional system's performance across diverse contexts. Through numerous illustrations, we meticulously investigate the impact of the arbitrary power and equation parameters on equilibrium points, their positions, basin of attraction, stability conditions, and bifurcation diagrams, including the emergence of chaotic behavior. This paper considered a functional model which splits to two types of equations, mainly, advance equation and delay equation. The advance equation was solved using an analytical approach. Different types of solutions were obtained for the advance equation under specific conditions of the model’s parameters. These solutions included the polynomial solutions of first and second degrees, the periodic solution and the hyperbolic solution. The periodic solution was invested to establish the analytical solution of the delay equation. The characteristics of the solution of the present model were discussed in detail. The results showed that the solution was continuous in the domain of the problem, under a restriction on the given initial condition, while the first derivative was discontinuous at a certain point and lied within the domain of the delay equation. In addition, some existing results in the literature were recovered as special cases of the current ones. The present successful analysis can be further generalized to include complex functional equations with an arbitrary function as an inhomogeneous term. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

In this paper, we explore the existence of fixed points, local dynamics at fixed points, bifurcations and chaos of a discrete prey-predator fishery model with harvesting. More specifically, it is proved that, for all involved parameters, the model has trivial fixed point, but it has semitrivial and interior fixed points under definite parametric condition(s). We study the local behavior at fixed points by applying the theory of linear stability. Furthermore, it is shown that flip bifurcation does not occur at semitrivial and trivial fixed points, but that the model undergoes Neimark-Sacker bifurcation at interior fixed point. It is also proved that, at interior fixed point, the model undergoes the flip bifurcation. By using a feedback control strategy, the chaos control is also examined. We explored a local stability analysis at fixed points, bifurcations, and a control in a discrete Leslie's prey-predator model in the interior of R²+. More specially, it is examined that for all parameters, Leslie's model has boundary and interior equilibria, and the local stability is studied by the linear stability theory at equilibrium. Additionally, the model does not undergo a flip bifurcation at the boundary fixed point, though a Neimark-Sacker bifurcation exists at the interior fixed point, and no other bifurcation exists at this point. In this paper, some complicated dynamic characteristics are formulated for a discrete predator-prey model with a prey refuge. After studying the local dynamical properties about fixed points, our main purpose is to investigate condition(s) for the occurrence of flip and hopf bifurcations, respectively. Further, by the bifurcation theory, we have studied flip bifurcation at boundary fixed point, and flip and hopf bifurcations at interior fixed point of the discrete model. We have also studied chaos by state feedback control strategy. Furthermore, theoretical results are numerically verified. The local dynamics, chaos, and bifurcations of a discrete Brusselator system are investigated. It is shown that a discrete Brusselator system has an interior fixed point P 1 , r if r > 0. Then, by linear stability theory, local dynamical characteristics are explored at interior fixed point P 1 , r . Furthermore, for the discrete Brusselator system, the existence of periodic points is investigated. The existence of bifurcations around an interior fixed point is also investigated and proved that the discrete Brusselator model undergoes hopf and flip bifurcations if r , h ∈ ℋℬ | P 1 , r = r , h , h = 2 − r and r , h ∈ ℱℬ | P 1 , r = r , h , h = 4 / 2 − r − r 2 − 4 r , respectively. This study examines the complexities of a discrete-time predator-prey model by integrating the impact of prey refuge, with the goal of providing a more realistic understanding of predator-prey interactions. We explore the existence and stability of fixed points within the model, offering a thorough examination of these critical aspects. Furthermore, we use center manifold and bifurcation theory to thoroughly analyze the presence and direction of period-doubling and Neimark-Sacker bifurcations. We also provide numerical simulations to validate our theoretical findings and demonstrate the intricacy of the model.
