Simultaneous charging with the individual voltage-fed LLC resonant converters has the drawback of two-stage conversion losses and increased cost, volume, and control complexity. This work presents an isolated Quasi-Z-Source Inverter (QZSI) combined with an LLC resonant converter for a simultaneous charging system in a single-stage conversion at different voltage levels to overcome these issues. The dual tank resonant circuit (DTRC) design structure and required magnetizing inductance are detailed to achieve simultaneous charging. Moreover, the influence of the equivalent magnetizing inductance-to-inductance ratio on power sharing and efficiencies is analyzed. This analysis uses SiC MOSFETs with double-leg shoot-through PWM (DLST PWM) at the constant switching frequency. Simulations and experimental results are evaluated for the proposed converter with a prototype of $200 {W}$ on each HFT in the upper and lower circuits in the laboratory using the dSPACE1104 platform. This work has analyzed simultaneous charging at equal and unequal voltage levels. It offers a novel, efficient topology with simple control and a smaller size.

The utilization of sunflower and corn stems in producing briquettes, combined with varying proportions of cassava starch as a binding agent, was investigated for its viability as an agricultural solid fuel. This study employed the briquetting technique to enhance the density of the briquettes, aiming for cost-effective applications. A range of agricultural materials including soda weed, rice husks, banana leaves, sawdust, groundnut shells, mango leaves, sugarcane leaves, maize straw and sugarcane bagasse were used as benchmarks to assess the physical characteristics. Comparative analysis was conducted between the proximate properties of sunflower and corn stem briquettes and those of established materials, such as fleshing, palm shells, water hyacinth, rice husks, mango leaves, bagasse, wheat straw, corn cob briquettes, coal and others. This comprehensive evaluation is aimed to gauge the efficiency and quality of briquettes, derived from sunflower and corn stems in relation to other biomass sources. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The emergence of resistance to antituberculosis drugs emphasize the necessity to discover new therapeutic agents for preferential tuberculosis therapy. In this study, various novel 1-(1H-benzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)piperidin-4-imine derivatives were developed and checked for favorable pharmacokinetic parameters based on drug-likeness explained by Lipinski’s rule of five. All 20 of the novel chemical entities were found to possess a favorable pharmacokinetic profile since they were not violating Lipinski’s rule of five. The title compounds were also synthesized, characterized, and tested for ex vivo antitubercular activity against Mycobacterium tuberculosis H37Rv (ATCC27294). The results revealed that four compounds (2-[1-(1H-benzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)piperidin-4-ylidene]hydrazinecarbothioamide, 2-[1-(1H-benzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)piperidin-4-ylidene]-N-hydroxyhydrazinecarbo-thioamide, 1-[1-(1H-benzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)piperidin-4-ylidene]guanidine, and 2-[1-(1H-benzimidazol-2-ylmethyl)piperidin-4-ylidene]hydrazinecarboxamide) were the most potent (minimum inhibitory concentration 6.25 µg/mL) antitubercular agents, with less toxicity (selectivity index more than 10). The molecules were also subjected to three-dimensional molecular docking on the crystal structure of enoyl-acyl carrier protein (EACP) reductase enzyme (code 1ZID, Protein Data Bank), which represents a good prediction of the interactions between the molecules and EACP reductase with minimum binding energy. The soil salinization has led to degradation of agricultural soils that negatively impact crop growth and production. Crops which are sensitive to salinity gets affected severely by soil salinity. The endophyte aid their host to survive in harsh environmental conditions by adapting to environment along with host plant. With this background the study was conducted to evaluate the fungal endophytes isolated from the plants of North western Himalayan region to impart salinity stress tolerance in mung bean. Out of forty-eight fungal endophytes screened four were salt tolerant and they were identified as Ulocladium sp., Fusarium avenaceum, Chaetomium sp. and F. tricinctum. The fungal endophytes Fusarium avenaceum found superior over other endophytes in imparting salinity stress tolerance in Mung bean. The effect of fungal endophytes on seedling growth was more pronounced under salinity stress condition than in non-stress conditions. Under pot experiment the plants inoculated with Fusarium avenaceum recorded higher plant growth, yield and physiological parameters. This paper presents a computational method to investigate cooling performance of NASA-C3X cascade vane coated with thermal barrier coating (TBC), for which experimental data are available. The vane was cooled internally by air flows through radially oriented 10 channels. A three-dimensional conjugate heat transfer simulation has been performed which allows the conduction-convection on metal vane by eliminating need of multiple boundary solutions. The predicted aerodynamic and thermal loads with the effect of turbulent intensity is found to be good agreement with experimental data and inclusion of TBC leads to quantitative reduction in vane metal temperature. Inorganic-based ceramic reinforcements are promising superior thermal behaviour and are lightweight and developed with aluminium alloy matrix for automobile applications. The AA6061 alloy nanocomposite containing 0 wt%, 4 wt%, 8 wt%, and 12 wt% of silicon nitride nanoparticles(50 nm) was synthesized by stir cast. The influences of thermal adsorption on silicon nitride (nano) additions, density, thermal response, hardness, and wear characteristics of AA6061 matrix nanocomposites are studied. Based on the rule of mixture, the density of nanocomposites is evaluated. The differential thermal and thermogravimetric analysis techniques are used to find the thermal response nanocomposite. The differential scanning calorimeter is used to find the heat flow between 400°C and 700°C. The micro Vickers hardness and wear characteristics of AA6061 nanocomposite were experimentally investigated by ASTM E384 and ASTM G99-05 standards. The adsorption of inorganic nanosilicon nitride particles (12 wt%) in AA6061 alloy showed a decreased mass loss with increased temperatures 0° to 700°C. The differential thermal analysis of nanocomposite reveals the transformation of solid-to-liquid phase under high temperature (528°C). [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
