This cross-sectional study investigates the online education intention of undergraduate students in the largest and oldest public university in Bangladesh during the COVID-19 pandemic. Under convenient sampling, 843 undergraduate students with rural and urban backgrounds participated in an online self-administered questionnaire. Partial least squares structural equation modelling (PLS-SEM) was employed to examine the hypothesized relationships. We found that students' online class intention is significantly influenced by their attitude towards online classes (AOC), perceived usefulness (PU), and facilitating conditions (FC). We further identified that external antecedents have significant indirect effects on the outcome variables. Our findings provide new insights and contribute to a learners' community on online classes during the COVID-19 pandemic. This study extends the technology acceptance model (TAM) and the theory of planned behavior (TPB) to depict the factors influencing undergraduate students' intention to attend online classes (IOC) during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Job performance has long been regarded as an important factor and has become a significant indicator in determining the efficiency and effectiveness of the performance of numerous organisations. This is because an organisation's ability to sustain its operation and achieve organisational goals would depend on the performance levels of its employees, including institutions in educational settings. This paper draws from an ongoing doctoral study that aims to investigate the relationship between instructional leadership practices and teachers' job performance at high-performing vocational schools in Indonesia. This paper also discussed the issues and concepts of both aforementioned variables in past studies that could assist in constructing the conceptual framework. Although past literature in global settings had postulated a potential relationship between instructional leadership practices and job performance, there is still limited research in the relevant topic when high-performing vocational schools is concerned. As to date, little empirical data was collected concerning the aforementioned relationship in local high-performing vocational schools in Indonesia. Therefore, researchers of this study embarked on the topic presenting problems and research gaps which eventually help to construct the conceptual framework of the two variables and their relationship.

Businesses are leveraging digital technology through e-commerce platforms as a strategy to continue operating following the movement control order (MCO). Online shopping, a subset of e-commerce platforms, allows consumers to browse, select, and purchase products using digital interfaces. Unfortunately, there is a lack of understanding of how this platform can impact customer behavior. Therefore, this study aims to develop new knowledge of customer behavior and assess the relationship between consumer behavior and e-service quality in online shopping to better understand the e-service quality provided by the vendor in Malaysia. A novel model of e-service quality and consumer behavior has been developed and investigated. Survey questionnaires were distributed and tested using structural equation modeling (SEM) to 200 customers who had experienced online shopping during COVID-19. The finding revealed that website design, security/privacy, and fulfillment are statistically correlated with e-service quality. However, customer service is not significantly correlated with e-service quality. Meanwhile, the quality of e-services is statistically significantly related to customer behavior. This study shows that e-service quality can provide good customer behavior post-COVID-19. Online shopping is therefore predicted to boost the economy of the country, but consumers also want high-quality e-services to continue. Retailers can improve their storefronts, engage customers, and promote responsible consumption.

In the body of knowledge in mathematics education research, fractions are one of the researchers' concerns. The reason is because fractions are very difficult for students to understand. This study explores elementary school students' knowledge and obstacles in dealing with the multiplication of fractions. This study employs descriptive quantitative and qualitative approaches. Data were collected using the fractional knowledge test administered to 56 fifth-grade students and cognitive semi-structured interviews with six students depending on their test scores. The results of this study show that students' knowledge of fractions is restricted, with challenges interpreting context-based problems and the usage of "of" terms. Another finding shows that students' procedural knowledge is more dominant than conceptual knowledge. To develop students' knowledge of fractions, the portion of context-based learning must be an emphasis. The importance of developing research-based textbooks based on a suitable learning trajectory is highlighted.

Mangrove forests play a vital role in carbon sequestration and climate change mitigation, yet comprehensive data on their carbon storage capacity in Malaysia remain limited. This study investigated allometric relationships and carbon content in Malaysian mangrove forests, aiming to develop site species-specific allometric equations, determine carbon content in tree components, and assess total carbon stock. Research was conducted in four compartments of the Sg. Pulai Permanent Reserved Forest, representing a mixed-species mangrove stand. We measured 1403 trees across ten species, with Rhizophora apiculata identified as the dominant species. Using diameter at breast height (DBH) and tree height, we developed site species-specific allometric equations to estimate aboveground biomass. The total aboveground biomass ranged from 183.30 t ha⁻1 to 187.06 t ha⁻1 across the study area. We calculated the total carbon stock at 91.01 t C ha⁻1, incorporating measurements from trees below 5 cm in diameter, dead and downed wood, and litter. An economic valuation of carbon storage was conducted using two approaches: the social cost of carbon method estimated a value of USD 4054.76 per hectare. In contrast, the market price approach yielded USD 1064.34 per hectare. This study provides essential data for improving biomass and carbon stock estimation methods in Malaysian mangrove ecosystems. Our findings highlight these forests' economic and ecological importance, supporting their integration into climate change mitigation strategies and informing sustainable management and conservation policies for mangrove forests in Malaysia and similar regions.

Purpose: Smartphones have become part and parcel of life in the 21st century. Since there has been limited research exploring the relationship between mobile addiction, interpersonal relationship, and academic behaviour among young adults in tertiary institutions, the present study has embarked on an exploration of the relationship between these three variables in the Malaysian higher education context. Methodology: A descriptive correlational research design was employed to collect and analyse the data, which came from a total of 150 young adults who responded to an online Google form distributed through a WhatsApp link. The items in the questionnaire were adapted from various doctorate studies. The data were analysed using descriptive and inferential statistics such as the mean and standard deviation, correlation, and multiple regression. Findings: The study found that young adults in tertiary institutions in Malaysia experienced a case of moderate mobile addiction. The results also established that the three variables, namely mobile addiction, interpersonal relationship, and academic behaviour, were interrelated. The findings revealed that interpersonal relationship has positively contributed to the variance of academic behaviour, while mobile addiction has negatively impacted young adults' academic behaviour in tertiary institutions. Significance: The findings have provided valuable insights into how to help facilitate the monitoring of disruptive mobile usage among young adults in tertiary institutions.

In recent years, there has been growing interest in exploring argumentation about socio-scientific issues (SSI) in the classroom to improve students' scientific literacy. Thus, this research aims to investigate how intervention based on argumentation about SSI affects secondary students' patterns of informal reasoning and reasoning quality. The action research was conducted with 16 secondary students in which all of them were given pre-test and post-tests. The collected data were analyzed qualitatively and quantitatively. The results suggest that participants frequently relied on rationalistic informal reasoning or integrated informal reasoning patterns to solve SSI. Students' reasoning quality also improved as there were higher frequencies of students with a higher level of reasoning quality and a significant increase in the construction of supportive argument, counterargument, rebuttal, and the total number of arguments in the two post-tests when compared to the pre-test. This study provided clear support for the potential of argumentation to improve secondary students' scientific literacy by promoting the construction of evidence-based arguments to assist in making rational decisions when solving SSI.
