The work investigated the effect on wire offset and surface morphology, with input process parameters as peak current, pulse on time, wire tension over Die Steel D3. Some of experiments were performed by using response surface methodology (RSM) as the design of experiment with central composite design (CCD) technique for the analysis. The ANOVA results annotate that the model is significant. Wire Tension and peak current are observed to have major impact on wire offset during machining operation and surface morphology. The scanning electron microscope (SEM) images confirmed that the thermal stresses produced during the machining of the workpiece resulted in the development of microcracks, craters and spherical module. Due to higher thermal gradient i.e., higher peak current and pulse on-time larger cracks and melted deposits were observed.

The axial crushing behaviour of tubes of different section shapes has been extensively investigated as they have an excellent energy absorption, but the thin walled corrugated tube structures have been designed to further improve their energy absorption performance. The study aims to analyze the effect of sinusoidal corrugations along cross section of the tube on peak force, energy absorption and specific energy absorption. In the present work the response surface methodology (RSM) using central composite design (CCD) has been used and simulation work is performed by using ANSYS workbench to explore the effects of geometrical parameters on the responses of constructing models.

The author has focused on the corrosive effect of 0.14% carbon steel in the occurrence of several amounts of soluble Sulfonated Polystyrene (SPS) and was found to be best efficient on soft iron exterior at 100ppm concentration in 0.5M hydrochloric acid assortment at 298K heat during 3h of time in this paper. The examination was performed by studying the weight loss of mild steel by varying different parameters like mixture concentration, time, and solution temperature. The efficiency of SPS was observed to rise with an increase of 91.90% of an inhibitor in the acid solution. In this paper the axial compression is investigation of the innovative fabricated structural steel column consisting of sinusoidal corrugated pattern. When it comes to the design of compressive individuals, buckling is a crucial layout provision. The paper describes the effect of variation in the sectional properties like mean diameter, thickness, amplitude, and frequency of corrugation on the buckling axial load. A quadratic model was developed to correlate the independent variables for maximum buckling load by using central composite design (CCD) method. Subsequently ANOVA, a statistical tool is used to analyse and compare the different combinations and finding the most influential factor on buckling load. The entire load in human body is supported by the hip joint bearing. In the present work, elastohydrodynamic lubrication analysis of metal and metal hip implant is performed by using Newtonian lubricant. The Reynolds equation coupled with stress equilibrium equation has been used to get the pressure and performance characteristics of hip joint bearing. The governing Reynolds equation is nonlinear and cannot be solved by using close form solution methods. The finite element method and Newton‐Raphson method are used to obtain solution of the present equation. It has been observed that numerical convergence is much faster with NR method. From the results, it is observed that FEM with modified Newton‐Raphson method has the capability to compute accurate results for realistic modelling. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
