Carbon dioxide (CO2) emissions from burning fossil fuels play a crucial role in global warming/climate change. The effective removal of CO2 from the point sources or atmosphere (CO2 capture), its conversion to value-added products (CO2 utilization), and long-term geological storage, or CO2 sequestration, has captured the attention of several researchers and policymakers. This review paper illustrates all kinds of CO2 capture/separation processes and the challenges faced in deploying these technologies. This review described the research efforts put forth in gas separation technologies. Horticulture can be produced on a small piece of land and yet will be a profitable venture in the long run. Thus, horticulture can be promoted as a subset of agro-division for the overall agriculture sector growth. The horticulture sector is fast growing in production and utilization with ever-growing scientific and technological support. Horticulture grows significantly higher than overall Agriculture Sector with the least cost. Horticulture development was never a priority. The study is put forth an impact assessment of Pre-MIDH policy intervention (2001-2015) and post-MIDH (2015-2021) measuring through an Independent sample test. Also, evaluate the impact of MIDH on overall Horticulture - area, production and productivity via a dummy regression model and verify the efficacy of MIDH policy. The paper also focuses on the issue of productivity of the horticulture sector during policy intervention. Based on descriptive statistics and independent sample test the research identifies the multiple linear regressions for policy framework in the Horticulture Sector. The study shows that total productivity has decreased despite the MIDH policy initiative. Thus we can say that horticulture has much greater unused potential to generate agricultural income from multiple sources and have capacity to boost our country's economic growth. Demand for foam fracturing fluids is ever-increasing because of its nondamaging characteristics, less water requirement, combined with efficient proppant carrying capacity. The present study reported the synergistic effects of bentonite clay and polymer (guar) on rheology and stability of the foam prepared with surfactant (sodium dodecyl sulfate). Bentonite clay, which is never considered so far for improving quality of foam fracturing fluid, was found to provide improved foam rheology at reduced polymer concentration. Static and dynamic rheology with microscopic study showed the improvement of apparent viscosity, viscoelasticity, thermal stability, and morphology of foam on addition of bentonite clay. Addition of bentonite reduced the doses of polymer with similar proppant suspension capacity, which could be preferred over conventional gelled foam to reduce formation damage incurred by insoluble guar in the very low permeability unconventional reservoirs like shale gas, coal bed methane, or water-sensitive formations. © 2017 Curtin University and John Wiley & Sons, Ltd. The rheological properties of viscoelasticsurfactant (VES)-basedgels prepared from a single surfactant (sodium lauryl sulfate) andmixed surfactants (cocamidopropyl betaine and sodium lauryl sulfate)are characterized and interpreted in detail with the addition of alkali.The phase diagrams were prepared to identify the gel region. Thesewere pseudoplastic fluids with shear-thinning nature. VES fluids preparedfrom mixed surfactants consisting of cocamidopropyl betaine and sodiumlauryl sulfate presented better rheology as analyzed. The effect ofthe addition of nanoparticles to this system was also studied in detailfor enhancement of the thermal stability. A dynamic rheology testwas also conducted to show enhancement of the storage and loss moduluswith the addition of alkali and nanoparticles. A miscibility testwas conducted to show the miscibility of the prepared gel with oiland water because it is one of the properties of fracturing fluidused to clean the postfractured formation.
