Aiming at the problem that it is difficult to effectively characterize the operation status of hydropower units with a single vibration signal feature under the influence of multiple factors such as water–machine–electricity coupling, a multidimensional fusion feature extraction method for hydroelectric units based on time–frequency analysis and unsupervised learning models is proposed. Firstly, the typical time–domain and frequency–domain characteristics of vibration signals are calculated through amplitude domain analysis and Fourier transform. Secondly, the time–frequency characteristics of vibration signals are obtained by combining the complementary ensemble empirical mode decomposition and energy moment calculation methods to supplement the traditional time–domain and frequency–domain characteristics, which have difficulty in comprehensively reflecting the correlation between nonlinear non–stationary signals and the state of the unit. Finally, in order to overcome the limitations of shallow feature extraction relying on artificial experience, a Stacked Denoising Autoencoder is used to adaptively mine the deep features of vibration signals, and the extracted features are fused to construct a multidimensional feature vector of vibration signals. The proposed multidimensional information fusion feature extraction method is verified to realize the multidimensional complementarity of feature attributes, which helps to accurately distinguish equipment state types and provides the foundation for subsequent state identification and trend prediction. Monitoring methods for beta-lactam (β-lactam) antibiotics, especially for ampicillin (AMP), with simple operation and sensitivity for realtime applications are highly required. To address this need, antioxidant carbon dots (E-CDs) with excellent fluorescence properties were synthesized using citric acid and ethylenediamine as raw materials. With a quantum yield of 81.97%, E-CDs exhibited a specific and sensitive response to ˙OH. The quenched fluorescence of E-CDs by the formed ˙OH could be restored through a competition reaction with AMP. Leveraging the signal-quenching strategy of E-CDs, H2O2, and Fe2+, a fluorescence signal-on strategy was developed using AMP as the fluorescence recovery agent for the sensitive detection of AMP. The mechanism of the quenching of E-CDs by ˙OH was attributed to the damaging effect of ˙OH on E-CDs. Under optimal conditions, the detection limit of this method for AMP was determined to be 0.38 μg mL−1. This method was successful in drug quality control and the spiked detection of AMP in lake water, milk, and sea cucumber, presenting a viable option for convenient and rapid antibiotic monitoring methods. BackgroundIn the long-term uninterrupted work of the real-time on-line monitoring system of water radioactivity, the spectrum drift, line broadening and shift of peak position are caused by the temperature change of the detector and various electronic components and the aging of components, which leads to the difficulty of spectral line analysis and the error of analytical results.PurposeThis study aims to develop a calibration device for real-time on-line monitoring system of water radioactivity based on cerium bromide detector.MethodsThe device was designed to consists of 137Cs standard source (exemption source), lead block, lead chamber with calibration hole and linear motor. The optimum opening radius of the calibration hole and the optimum thickness of the lead block were obtained by Monte Carlo simulation. The standard 137Cs source was used as the standard reference peak, and the calibration of peak position and peak area, the peak position drift and peak area of 137Cs full-energy peak was analyzed by software with real-time gain calculation and parameters adjustment. Finally, the device was applied to the field application verification.Results & ConclusionsResults of Monte Carlo simulation indicate that the optimum radius of the calibration hole is 2.2 cm and the optimum thickness of the lead block is 5 cm. The verification results shows that the device can limit the change of peak position and peak area to ±1% and ±5%, respectively.

BackgroundWith the vigorous development of the nuclear industry and the widespread application of nuclear technology, the radioactivity of inland water has become one of the key objects of radiation environmental monitoring. CeBr3 scintillation detector is one of candidates for water on-line radioactivity measurement system, but its detection efficiency is not high enough.PurposeThis study aims to improve the detection efficiency of the water on-line radioactivity measurement system by optimization of array CeBr3 detector layout, and reduce the detection limit.MethodsFirstly, calculate the optimal number of detectors in the system according to the minimum detectable activity concentration formula was calculated. Then, the Monte Carlo method was used to simulate the number and arrangement of ⌀45 mm×50 mm CeBr3 array detectors to obtain optimized arrangement of detectors. Finally, the water on-line radioactivity measurement system with optimized layout of array CeBr3 detectors was applied to continuous monitoring of the water bodIES of a river basin in Sichuan province.ResultsThe simulation results show that the three CeBr3 detectors placed in triangular arrangement and close to each other achieve a minimum detectable activity concentration of 0.1 Bq·L-1 for 137Cs radioactive source, meeting the design standard of system detection limit.ConclusionsThe monitoring results show that the system can effectively monitor the variations of radioactivity concentration of total α/β and 238U, 232Th and 40K in the water.

One-pot synthesis of a novel mesoporous hydroxyl oxidize iron functional Na-zirconium phosphate (FeOOH-NaZrH(PO4)2·H2O) composites was firstly characterized and investigated its Co(II) adsorption from aqueous solution. Compared to NaZrH(PO4)2·H2O (65.7 mg⋅g−1), the maximum Co(II) adsorption capacity of FeOOH-NaZrH(PO4)2·H2O was improved to be 95.1 mg⋅g−1. BET verified the mesoporous structures of FeOOH-NaZrH(PO4)2·H2O with a larger pore volume than NaZrH(PO4)2·H2O. High pH values, initial Co(II) concentration, and temperature benefited the Co(II) adsorption. Kinetics, isotherms, and thermodynamics indicated an endothermic, spontaneous chemisorption process. FeOOH-NaZrH(PO4)2·H2O has a better Co(II) adsorption selectivity than that of NaZrH(PO4)2·H2O. In particular, FeOOH-NaZrH(PO4)2·H2O exhibited an outstanding reusability after ten cycles of tests. The main possible mechanism for adsorbents uptake Co(II) involved in ion exchange, electrostatic interaction, and -OH, Zr-O bond coordination based on FTIR and XPS analysis. This work presents a feasible strategy to prepare novel modified zirconium phosphate composites for extracting Co(II) from solutions and providing a new insight into the understanding of Co(II) adsorption in the real nuclear Co(II)-containing wastewater. A kind of full-function two-sided optical bench interferometer (OBI) is designed to meet the practical requirements of the Taiji Program for space gravitational wave detection. The main optical paths are arranged on the A-side for transmission and interference, and other optical paths and electronic devices are placed on the B-side. According to the design scheme, we successfully constructed two OBIs by using hydrogen–oxygen catalytic stress-free bonding technology. When the OBI is installed and adjusted, the position and Angle error of the interference beam are controlled within 30 μm and 50 μrad through the self-designed precision mechanical clamping mechanism and beam position measuring device. The built OBI was placed on the vibration isolation platform in the vacuum tank for the stability test. The test results show that the noise of the OBI is less than 10 p m / √ H z in the frequency band of 0.1 Hz to 1 Hz, which meets the noise budget requirements of the Taiji Pathfinder in the middle- and high-frequency band. The support structure between payloads is an important part of a space gravitational wave detection satellite, and its thermal stability will directly affect the interferometer's measurement accuracy. However, due to temperature changes, the connecting structure between the loads will generate deformation, and a support structure with the coefficient of thermal expansion (CTE) of −1 × 10−6/K will thus need to be designed to counteract this thermal deformation. In order to solve this problem, this paper adopts the method of mutual offsetting of the thermal deformation of different materials to design a thermally stable support structure satisfying this negative CTE. The structure was optimized by the arithmetic of non-linear programming by the quadratic Lagrangian hybrid algorithm (NLPQL), and the structural parameter satisfying the CTE of −1.008 × 10−6/K was obtained. Meanwhile, the effect of the change in the thermal expansion coefficient of each material on the overall structure under this parameter was sampled and calculated. Moreover, the experimental results show that the CTE of the support structure under the optimized parameters was −1.114 × 10−6/K, which differs from the simulation results by 9.5%. A photonic integrated interference imaging system (PIIIS) is a computational imager based on Michelson interference and photonic integrated circuits (PICs). In this paper, a PIIIS based on a compact sampling lenslet array that can sample the zero spatial frequency through a single lenslet, densely sample the frequency in the azimuth direction through the configuration of a hierarchical multistage lenslet array, and continuously sample the frequency in the radial direction through a Langford sequence is proposed. We introduce the design process of the compact sampling lenslet array in detail and simulate the imaging of the system. The simulation results demonstrate that the lenslet array can effectively improve the imaging quality of a PIIIS. In addition, we design a silicon PIC and a silicon nitride transition PIC that match the compact sampling lenslet array and simulate the imaging of the system under the influence of the on-chip optical loss of PICs (the average interference baseline loss is 15.4 dB at 1550 nm). The telescope is the core device for space gravitational wave detection. It is responsible for receiving signal light and emitting outgoing light simultaneously. When the high-energy outgoing laser passes through the telescope, it would produce stray light, which would interfere with the phase measurement and generate phase noise. Therefore, it is necessary to analyze and suppress the stray light of the telescope. In this paper, the requirement of point source transmittance (PST) of the Taiji telescope is obtained through theoretical derivation, which is less than 4 × 10 − 10 . Through a complete analysis of stray light, we determined that the M4 was the largest source of stray light under the condition that the roughness of each optical surface is equal, which accounted for 67.22%. We also determined the most lenient requirements for surface roughness σ λ , and found that when σ λ of the M1, M2, M3, and M4 were 20 Å, 4 Å, 1 Å, and 1 Å, respectively, the PST was 3.89 × 10 − 10 , which met the PST requirement. Next, we calculated the effect of particulate contamination on the PST, and based on the results of our analysis, we determined that the cleanliness level of the testing and storage environment of the Taiji telescope was better than 300. Finally, we evaluated the changes in the PST caused by the damage of micrometeoroids, and the analysis results showed that the stray light level would not change significantly during the service period of the Taiji Telescope. Chinese HPHT diamonds have improved dramatically in recent years. However, this brings a challenge in identifying type IIa colorless diamonds. In this study, eleven HPHT and three natural, colorless, gem-quality IIa diamonds were analyzed using magnified observation, Raman, PL and chemical element analysis. The results show that only HPHT samples possessed kite-like inclusions and lichenoid inclusions, as verified by their complex Raman spectra (100–750 cm−1). Through PL mapping, HPHT and natural IIa diamonds were distinguished by their growth environments, which were reflected by PL peaks at 503, 505, 575, 637, 693, 694 and 737 nm. The chemical components of HPHT IIa diamond carbide inclusions are mainly Fe, Co, Ni and Mn, but those of Natural IIa are mainly Fe and Ni. Epidemiological and clinical characteristics of patients with COVID-19 have been reported in the last two years. A few studies reported clinical course of illness of median 22 days, including viral shedding of median 20 days, but there are several cases with a longer time of viral shedding. In this study, we included four cases with a longer illness course of more than 40 days who had been discharged or still in hospital by March 15, 2020. Demographic, clinical treatment, and laboratory data, including serial samples for viral RNA detection, were extracted from electronic medical records. We described the epidemiological and clinical characteristics and the course of viral shedding. Two patients had comorbidity, one with hypertension and the other with diabetes. We found smoking was not an independent risk factor. D-dimer maybe related to the severity of illness but not to the course of the illness. Nucleic acid detection suggested that maybe more sampling sites represented more virus replication sites and longer course of illness. In this study we found some non-critical severe relatively young patients whose character was different from former studies described to provide a basis for reference to assess the risk of transmission and the isolation duration of patients. Rapid and accurate strain identification of the most closely related genera Myxococcus , Corallococcus , and Pyxidicoccus can enhance the efficiency of the mining of novel secondary metabolites through dereplication. However, the commonly used 16S rRNA gene sequencing cannot accurately differentiate members of the three genera above, and the whole-genome sequencing is unable to rapidly and inexpensively provide species assignation toward a large number of isolates. To overcome the limitations, the gyrB gene was investigated as a candidate genetic marker for exploring the phylogenetic relationships of bacteria within the three genera and for developing the gyrB -based typing method. Here, the bacterial phylogeny and species affiliations of the three genera were determined based on the phylogenomic reconstruction and the analysis of digital DNA–DNA hybridization values among 90 genomes, further confirming nine novel taxa and assigning over one-third of genomes to defined species. The phylogenetic relationships of these strains based on the gyrB gene sequences were congruent with those based on their genome sequences, allowing the use of the gyrB gene as a molecular marker. The gyrB gene-specific primers for the PCR-amplification and sequencing of bacteria within the three genera were designed and validated for 31 isolates from our group collection. The gyrB -based taxonomic tool proved to be able to differentiate closely related isolates at the species level. Based on the newly proposed 98.6% identity threshold for the 966-bp gyrB gene and the phylogenetic inference, these isolates were assigned into two known species and eight additional putative new species. In summary, this report demonstrated that the gyrB gene is a powerful phylogenetic marker for taxonomy and phylogeny of bacteria within the closely related genera Myxococcus , Corallococcus , and Pyxidicoccus , particularly in the case of hundreds or thousands of isolates in environmental studies. Space-borne gravitational wave detection imposes a demanding requirement on the sensitivity of the laser interferometer. Among all disturbances that affect the measurement accuracy of the laser interferometer, temperature fluctuations contribute significantly. In this paper, the structure model and the interference path design of Taiji-1 laser interferometer have been used to conduct a preliminary simulation analysis of the temperature fluctuation noise through the finite element method. The temperature, the displacement and the optical path difference fluctuations have been obtained and theoretically analyzed. The preliminary simulation results are consistent with the theoretical analysis, which shows that the thermal–structural–optical simulation scheme adopted in this paper is reasonable. With the preliminary simulation results and the actual temperature control of Taiji-1 laser interferometer, we estimate that in Taiji-1 laser interferometer system, the temperature fluctuation is below the order of mK, the node displacement is within 1 0 0 pm, and the interference arm length difference fluctuation amplitude of the laser interferometer is also within 1 0 0 pm. Taiji-1 is the first technology demonstration satellite of the Taiji Program in Space, which, served as the pre-PathFinder mission, had finished its nominal science operational phase and successfully accomplished the mission goal. The gravitational reference sensor (GRS) on-board Taiji-1 is one of the key science payloads that coupled strongly to other instruments, sub-systems and also the satellite platform itself. Fluctuations of the physical environment inside the satellite and mechanical disturbances of the platform generate important noises in the GRS measurements, therefore their science data can also be used to evaluate the performance of the μ N -thrusters and the stability of the platform. In this work, we report on the methods employed in Taiji-1 GRS data processing in the systematical modelings of the spacecraft orbit and attitude perturbations, mechanical disturbances, and internal environment changes. The modeled noises are then removed carefully from the GRS science data to improve the data quality and the GRS in-orbit performance estimations. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Tyrosinase (TYR) plays a pivotal role in the biosynthesis of melanin, and its activity level holds critical implications for vitiligo, melanoma cancer, and food nutritional value. The sensitive determination of TYR activity is of great significance for both fundamental research and clinical investigations. In this work, we successfully synthesized silicon-doped carbon quantum dots (Si-CQDs) through a one-pot hydrothermal method with trans-aconitic acid as carbon source and N-[3-(trimethoxysilyl)propyl]ethylenediamine as the dopant, exhibiting remarkable fluorescence quantum yield (QY) and photostability. Correspondingly, Si-CQDs were used as a probe to construct a sensitive, rapid, and user-friendly fluorescence method for TYR detection. The method relied on the oxidation of isoprenaline (ISO) by TYR, where Si-CQDs were employed as a highly efficient probe. The testing mechanism was the internal filtering effect (IFE) observed between Si-CQDs and the oxidative system of ISO and TYR. Under the optimized conditions, the fluorescence strategy exhibited a detection range of 0.05-2.0 U/mL for TYR with a limit of detection (LOD) of 0.041 U/mL. Furthermore, we successfully demonstrated the accurate determination of TYR levels in human serum, showcasing the promising potential of this method in various practical scenarios.

Four novel bacterial strains, designated RBB1W86 T , RXD159 T , RBB189 T and RLT163 T , were isolated from subtropical forest soil of the Nanling National Nature Reserve located in Guangdong Province, PR China. 16S rRNA gene phylogeny indicated their affiliation to the genus Dyella , among which strains RBB1W86 T and RXD159 T were closely related to Dyella halodurans CGMCC 1.15435 T with 16S rRNA gene sequence similarities of 98.8 and 99.5 %, respectively, and strains RBB189 T and RLT163 T were closely related to Dyella tabacisoli CGMCC 1.16273 T (98.8 %) and Dyella japonica JCM 21530 T (99.4 %), respectively. Phylogenomic analysis based on 92 core genes showed consistent phylogeny with the 16S rRNA gene phylogeny for strains RBB1W86 T , RBB189 T and RLT163 T , while strain RXD159 T showed a closer relationship with D. tabacisoli CGMCC 1.16273 T and strain RBB189 T . The genome-derived average nucleotide identity (ANI) values between the newly isolated strains and their closely related species were 70.18‒90.20 %, and the corresponding digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) values were 20.80‒40.30 %. Meanwhile, the ANI and dDDH values between each pair of the newly isolated strains were 75.80‒79.77 % and 21.30‒23.30 %, respectively. They all took iso-C 15 : 0 and summed feature 9 (10-methyl C 16  : 0 and/or iso-C 17  : 1 ω 9 c ) as the major fatty acids. Moreover, C 16 : 0 , iso-C 16 : 0 , iso-C 17 : 0 and summed feature 3 (C 16 : 1 ω 7 c and/or C 16 : 1 ω 6 c ) were also variously distributed as major components. They all took ubiquinone 8 as the only predominant respiratory quinone and phosphatidylglycerol, diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine and an unidentified phospholipid as the major polar lipids. Phosphatidylmethylethanolamine was only present in strain RBB189 T as another major component. Based on the results of phenotypic, genotypic and chemotaxonomic analyses, the newly isolated strains could be clearly distinguished from their closely related species and should represent four distinct novel species of the genus Dyella , for which the names Dyella humicola sp. nov. (type strain RBB1W86 T =GDMCC 1.1901 T =KACC 21988 T ), Dyella subtropica sp. nov. (type strain RXD159 T =GDMCC 1.1902 T =KACC 21989 T ), Dyella silvatica sp. nov. (type strain RBB189 T =GDMCC 1.1900 T =KACC 21990 T ) and Dyella silvae sp. nov. (type strain RLT163 T =GDMCC 1.1916 T =KACC 21991 T ) are proposed.

A Gram-stain-negative, aerobic, non-motile and pleomorphic bacterium designated as YG55 T was isolated from a coastal sediment sample. Growth was found to occur at 10-37 °C (optimum, 28 °C), at pH 6-9 (optimum, pH 8) and in 0-6 % NaCl (optimum, 1 %). The results of 16S rRNA gene-based analysis showed that strain YG55 T was related to the members of the genus Tsuneonella and shared the highest identity of 99.4 % with Tsuneonella dongtanensis GDMCC 1.2307 T , followed by Tsuneonella troitsensis JCM 17037 T (98.4 %). The phylogenomic results indicated that strain YG55 T formed an independent branch distinct from the reference type strains. The 22.7 and 21.8 % digital DNA-DNA hybridization (dDDH) values and 83.0 and 81.8 % average nucleotide identity (ANI) values between strain YG55 T and the two relatives were below the species definition thresholds of 70 % (dDDH) and 95-96 % (ANI), indicating that the strain represents a novel genospecies. The results of chemotaxonomic characterization indicated that the major cellular fatty acids of strain YG55 T were summed feature 8 (C 18 : 1  ω 6 c and/or C 18 : 1  ω 7 c ), C 14 : 0 2OH and C 16 : 0 ; the main polar lipids comprised diphosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylethanolamine, phosphatidylglycerol, phosphatidylcholine and sphingoglycolipid; the respiratory quinone was ubiquinone-10. The genomic size and DNA G+C contents were 3.03 Mbp and 66.98 %. The strain contained carotenoid biosynthesis genes and could produce carotenoids. Based on its genotypic and phenotypic characteristics, strain YG55 T is concluded to represent a novel species of the genus Tsuneonella , for which the name Tsuneonella litorea sp. nov. is proposed.
