Multilevel inverters proved its capabilities nowadays operating in the symmetrical and asymmetrical source of voltages to bring output voltage nearly to a sinusoid. Several variations in topological strategies put forth better output quality with lesser harmonic distortion. However, it suffers from several issues predominantly such as more number of devices, higher blocking voltage, and power loss for higher voltage levels. This paper forays a fresh topology on switched configuration multilevel inverters with optimum dc sources, switches, voltage level, and filter requirements. The proposed topology has the flexibility to extend for higher voltage levels with make use of less switches. This paper studies on a new Hybrid Posicast Control (HPC) for Fundamental KY Boost Converter (FKYBC) worked in Continuous Current Mode (CCM). Posicast is a feed-forward compensator. It reduces the overshoot in the step result of the flippantly damped plant. But the conventional controller approach is sensitive owing to the changes in the natural frequency. So, as to reduce this undesirable sensitivity and load potential control of FKYBC, a HPC is designed in this article. Structure of HPC is posicast with feedback loop. The independent computational time delay is the main design function of the posicast. The enactment of the FKYBC with HPC is confirmed at various operating regions by making the MATLAB/Simulink and experimental model. The posicast function values are implemented in Arduino Uno-ATmega328P microcontroller. Voltage stability and line losses are inevitable issues even in modern power systems. There are several techniques that emerged to solve problems in the power system to provide quality and uninterrupted supply to customers. The algorithms used in this paper to determine the appropriate location and size of the Static Var Compensator (SVC) in the Distribution Network (DN) are Moth Flame Optimization (MFO) and Particle Swarm Optimization (PSO). The objective function is defined to minimize voltage deviation and power loss. The burning problem of voltage stability improvement current scenario is because of a rise in electricity demands in all sectors. Paramount duties of power engineers are to keep the system stable and maintain voltage magnitude constant even during peak hours. The results were checked with the aid of MATLAB on Wolaita Sodo radial distribution of 34 bus data networks. The potential use of SVC is key to solve distribution system power quality issues and estimating the advantage of the installation. The results obtained from the test system were compared with PSO results. This comparison was done to know the computational time of proposed techniques. This article presents a analysis, design and implementation of non-linear controllers for fundamental negative super lift Luo-Converter (FNSLLC) for purposes needing the stable power source in battery operated portable devices, floppy/hard disk drives, LED TV, physiotherapy medical instrument, lap-top computers, mother board and fan in central processing unit (CPU) applications etc.,. The FNSLLC is a advanced DC-DC converter topology. The FNSLLC is erratic structure system (ESS) and its dynamic analysis is poor. The linear regulators for FNSLLC are poor operating analysis particularly during large source voltage and load modifications. With the aim of improve the dynamic analysis, load voltage and coil current controls of FNSLLC, a linear quadratic regulator (LQR) plus fuzzy logic controller (FLC) is designed. The LQR is designed for FNSLLC with their state space dynamic equations. The controller formation of this converter consists of two loops like, current loop (CL) and voltage loop (VL). In this study, LQR is act as a inner CL for manipulating the coil current of FNSLLC, but the FLC is act as a VL for controlling the load voltage of FNSLLC. The FLC is developed depending on the same system activities and qualitative linguistic control rules. The performance of FNSLLC using LQR plus FLC is verified at various operating states by building both in MATLAB/Simulink and prototype field programmable array (FPGA) models in comparisons with LQR plus proportional double integral controller (PDIC). This article presents the analysis, design, and output voltage regulation of a negative-output elementary boost converter operated in the continuous conduction mode using a hysteresis modulation sliding-mode controller for applications requiring the constant power source in medical equipment, telecom, industrial, and military/aerospace telemetry applications. The negative-output elementary boost converter is a new series of attractive DC-DC converters possessing high-voltage transfer gain, high power density, high efficiency, and reduced output voltage and inductor current ripples. Due to the time-varying and switching properties of the negative-output elementary boost converter, its dynamic characteristic becomes highly non-linear. In order to improve the dynamics performance and output voltage regulation of the negative-output elementary boost converter, a hysteresis modulation sliding-mode controller is developed. The hysteresis modulation sliding-mode controller is designed for the inherently variable structure of the negative-output elementary boost converter by using a state-space average based model. The three conditions of the hysteresis modulation sliding-mode controller for the negative-output elementary boost converter—the existence, hitting, and stability conditions—are analyzed. The performance of the developed controller is validated for its robustness to perform over a wide range of operating conditions through both the laboratory prototype and MATLAB/Simulink (The MathWorks, Natick, Massachusetts, USA) models, which are compared with a proportional-integral controller.
