BackgroundMobile-based interventions appear to be promising in ameliorating huge burdens experienced by patients with type 2 diabetes. However, it is unclear how effective mobile-based interventions are in glycemic management of patients with type 2 diabetes based on real-world evidence. ObjectiveThis study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a mobile-based intervention on glycemic control in patients with type 2 diabetes based on real-world population data. MethodsThis retrospective, propensity score-matched cohort study analyzed longitudinal data from a clinical electronic health database. The study population included 37,913 patients with type 2 diabetes at cohort entry between October 1, 2016, and July 31, 2018. A total of 2400 patients were matched 1:1, using propensity score matching, into the usual care and mobile health (mHealth) groups. The primary outcomes of glycemic control included control rates of glycated hemoglobin (HbA1c), fasting blood glucose (FBG), and postprandial 2-hour blood glucose (P2BG). Mean values and variation trends of difference with 95% CI were the secondary outcomes. The general linear model was used to calculate repeated-measures analyses of variance to examine the differences between the two groups. Subgroup and sensitivity analyses were performed. ResultsOf the 2400 patients included in the analysis, 1440 (60.00%) were male and the mean age was 52.24 years (SD 11.56). At baseline, the control rates of HbA1c, FBG, and P2BG in the mHealth and usual care groups were 45.75% versus 47.00% (P=.57), 38.03% versus 32.76% (P=.07), and 47.32% versus 47.89% (P=.83), respectively. Abstract The aim of this study was to assess the sleep status of middle-aged and elderly adults in Bengbu City, Anhui Province, China, to identify the major dietary patterns, and to analyze the association of different sleep duration and dietary patterns with metabolic syndrome (MetS) and its related influencing factors, as well as to explore the predictive value of sleep duration and dietary patterns. A cross-sectional analysis was performed utilizing data collected from the Community-based Cardiovascular and Health Promotion Study 2019 (COCHPS 2019) conducted in Bengbu. The definition of MetS adhered to the criteria of Guidelines for the Prevention and Treatment of Dyslipidemia in Chinese Adults (2016 Revision). Dietary information was obtained using the Food Frequency Questionnaire (FFQ) to assess dietary intake over the past year. Principal component analysis (PCA) was performed to identify dominant dietary patterns. A logistic regression model was developed to analyze the associations among sleep duration, dietary patterns, and MetS, and a decision tree (DT) model was developed to compare factors affecting MetS and screen people at high risk for MetS. The prevalence of MetS was 13.4% among the 9132 middle-aged and elderly residents over 45 years of age included in COCHPS 2019. Participants were divided into short ( 8 h/d) groups based on their daily sleep duration. Three dietary patterns were identified by PCA, the fruit-milk pattern, the tubers-meat pattern, and the vegetable-cereal pattern. After adjusting for covariables, logistic regression analysis showed that long sleep duration was significantly negatively associated with MetS. The fruit-milk and vegetable-cereal patterns were negatively associated with MetS, whereas the tubers-meat pattern was positively correlated with MetS. The results of the DT model analysis showed that the vegetable-cereal pattern is the most important factor impacting MetS, followed by marital status, the tubers-meat pattern, the fruit-milk pattern, exercise, sleep duration, and gender. The DT model also screened out five types of MetS high-risk groups. The results of our study indicate that normal sleep duration and consumption of either a fruit-milk or vegetable-cereal diet may lower the likelihood of developing MetS in middle-aged and elderly adults.

For the development of new energy automobile industry and the trend of automobile lightweight have put forward a huge demand for high-strength lightweight materials, so developing high strength aluminum alloys is particularly momentous. As the most widely used aluminum alloy, 6000 series aluminum alloys (Al–Mg–Si alloys) have the advantages such as better mechanical properties, outstanding welding properties, excellent formability and fine processing capability, and therefore have obtained great attention as the structural materials. In addition, the Al–Mg–Si alloys with low density and corrosion resistance not only reduce the total weight of the car, but also extend the service life when subjected to chemical corrosion, which effectively achieve energy saving and emission reduction. This paper summarizes the research progress of 6000 series aluminum alloys, in particular, and reviews the methods of microalloying and particle strengthening, and their effects on the microstructure and properties of the alloy, thus providing a reference for the subsequent development of high-performance aluminum alloys in automobile and aerospace industries.

Rapid growth in industrial sectors such as automotive and shipbuilding has highlighted the significance of strip casting technology to produce lightweight alloys, particularly aluminum alloys widely used in both industrial production and daily life. Twin-roll casting (TRC), as an economically and environmentally friendly method for slab/strip production and processing, has attracted significant interest from researchers. However, the development of TRC aluminum alloys faces many challenges due to limited understanding of microstructural characteristics and control mechanisms. To further enhance comprehension of TRC aluminum alloys, this article reviews the influencing parameters, control methods, and existing issues related to TRC sub-rapid solidification (SRS) microstructure. It firstly summarizes TRC equipment types and their solidification characteristics, followed by a detailed analysis on key parameters affecting the evolution of TRC microstructure including rolling speed, roll separation force (RSF), and heat transfer coefficient (HTC). Finally, solutions to TRC defects are summarized and evaluated alongside their underlying mechanisms. This article provides a comprehensive review of the characteristics and control mechanisms of TRC microstructure while offering valuable insights for the future production of high-quality TRC aluminum strips.

Purpose: We investigated the effects of classroom-based physical activity (CBPA) interventions on academic performance and assessed the impact of different CBPA elements on academic performance. Methods: Relevant experimental studies in four databases were searched from their inception to September 2022. Random effects models were used to compute standardized mean differences (SMDs) and 95% confidence intervals. Results: A total of 13 studies were included. CBPA interventions could improve academic performance in children and adolescents (SMD = 0.17, p = 0.02). For the CBPA elements, low frequency (no more than three times per week; SMD = 0.19, p = 0.01), moderate intensity (SMD = 0.19, p = 0.01), long time (more than 20 min in each intervention; SMD = 0.14, p = 0.05), integrated physical activity (SMD = 0.18, p = 0.04), no more than 400 metabolic equivalents of energy-min/week (SMD = 0.33, p = .001), and more than 8-week interventions (SMD = 0.19, p = 0.04) tended to improve academic performance. Conclusions: CBPA may improve academic performance in children and adolescents. CBPA elements also have an impact on academic performance.
