This study aims to investigate the effect of arsenic exposure on urinary levels of arsenic metabolites, semen parameters, and testosterone concentrations. A systematic comprehensive literature search was conducted up till 31st January 2024 using Embase, MEDLINE/Pubmed, and Scopus. This study adopted the Population Exposure Comparator Outcome and Study Design (PECOS) framework. Four studies with a total of 380 control subjects and 347 exposed men were included. Arsenic exposure significantly increased urinary levels of total arsenic (Mean Difference (MD) − 53.35 [95 % Confidence Interval (CI): − 100.14, − 6.55] P= 0.03), and reduced primary arsenic methylation index (PMI) (MD 0.22 [95 % CI: 0.14, 0.31] P< 0.00001), semen volume (MD 0.30 [95 % CI: 0.05, 0.54] P= 0.02) and total testosterone (MD 0.48 [95 % CI: 0.23, 0.73] P= 0.0002). In addition, arsenic exposure marginally reduced sperm concentration (MD 25.04 [95 % CI: − 45.42, 95.50] P= 0.49) and total sperm motility (MD 22.89 [95 % CI: − 14.15, 59.94] P= 0.23). The present meta-analysis demonstrates that arsenic exposure lowers semen quality and testosterone levels. Since the general human population is exposed to arsenic occupationally or domestically, adequate strategic measures should be put in place to limit arsenic exposure in an attempt to preserve semen quality. In addition, studies investigating interventions that may inhibit the bioaccumulation of arsenic in men who are exposed are recommended.

This study examined the efficiency of pumpkin seed oil (PSO) to rescue the colchicine (CHC)-induced adverse impacts on sperm characteristics, male sex hormones, testicular architecture, oxidative status, DNA content, collagen deposition, and immune expression of desmin and PCNA. Male Sprague Dawley rats were divided into four experimental groups (n = 10 each): control (distilled water), CHC (0.6 mg/kg b.wt), PSO (4 mL/kg b.wt), and CHC + PSO. After 60 days of dosing, CHC significantly reduced sperm motility (19%), sperm concentration (38%), estradiol (52%), testosterone (37%), luteinizing hormone (54%), and follicle-stimulating hormone (29%) compared to the control. Yet, the testicular tissues of CHC-administered rats exhibited elevated abnormal sperms (156%), malondialdehyde (354%), lactate dehydrogenase (73%), Caspase-3 (66%), and 8-hydroxyguanosine (65%) but lower reduced glutathione (74%), catalase (73%), and superoxide dismutase (78%) compared to the control group. Moreover, CHC induced testicular degeneration, distorted seminiferous tubules, apoptotic cells, exfoliated spermatogenic cells, reduced DNA content, decreased PCNA and desmin immune-expression, and increased collagen deposition. PSO effectively reversed the CHC-induced alterations in sperm quality and testicular function and architecture, likely through its antioxidant, antifibrotic, anti-apoptotic, and DNA-protective properties. This comparative cross-sectional study aimed to evaluate the relationship between serum leptin and testosterone, FSH, LH, PRL and semen quality in fertile and idiopathic infertile Yemeni men. A total of 30 infertile males with unknown causes and 30 age-matched healthy fertile males were enrolled in this study. The body mass index (BMI) and waist circumference (WC) were measured. Semen samples were analyzed according to the WHO manual for semen analysis. Serum samples were tested for hormones. Subjects were then divided into subgroups and compared based on their main seminal findings. The WC, serum leptin, PRL, FSH and LH levels were significantly higher (p < 0.05) in the infertile subjects than in the fertile group. Serum leptin demonstrated a significant positive correlation (p < 0.01) with body weight, BMI and WC in fertile males and a significant negative correlation (p < 0.01) with testosterone in fertile and infertile males. Similarly, a significant positive correlation was found between serum leptin and FSH (p < 0.01) and LH (p < 0.05) levels in the infertile subjects. The findings showed that non-obstructive azoospermic (NOA) patients have significant (p < 0.05) high levels of serum leptin, FSH, and LH. These findings may support the possibility of a direct peripheral negative effect of leptin on testicular steroidogenesis independent of the suggested indirect effect, and it could directly impact spermatogenesis without inhibiting testosterone production. This effect was accompanied by increasing serum PRL levels. Furthermore, serum leptin and gonadotropins were found to be increased in the idiopathic NOA group. The present study provided valuable insights into the fertile and idiopathic infertile Yemeni males and could establish an important foundation for future andrological-related studies such as investigating the relationship between leptin and other hormones; and infertility-related genetic and epigenetic factors. Introduction: Obesity is a disease that significantly increases the risk of death in all ages. It is a risk factor for the development of many diseases that directly affect male reproductive health. Metabolic complications resulting from excess body weight affect testosterone levels and gonadal function in men. Morbid obesity causes hypogonadism in men and an increase in androgen secretion in women. The consequences of overweight and obesity in men are a decrease in testosterone and sex hormone-binding globulin (SHBG), an increase in oestradiol, sexual dysfunction, and reproductive health dysfunction. Surgical weight reduction improves the sexual function and reproductive health of men. Aim of the research: To investigate the effect of weight loss in obesity on male sexual function and reproductive health. Material and methods: Research material was collected by searching through databases with scientific articles on obesity, bariatric surgery, the effects of bariatric surgery on sex hormones, sexual function, and fertility in men. The Pubmed and Web of Science research databases were used. Scientific articles, systematic reviews, and meta-analyses were taken into account. The analysis of the included articles covered items from 2003 to 2021. One of the publications dates back to 1996. Conclusions: Surgical weight reduction improves the profile of male sex hormones and sexual function. This study was carried out to point out histological changes that could take place in the testis of mice according to using the zinc with the water at a concentration of 40mg/kg the mice, which were used on the search at age fifty days. To conduct such project, 24 mice were collected (8 for each age) from the local breeder, to study the effect of zinc on testis according to histological, physiological traits of the mice, these mice were divided into three groups (group 1 that takes the zinc with concentration 40mg/kg B.w group 2 take 80 mg/kg B.w of zinc, group X (control)take water only, these doses of has been continuing for 4 weeks, after this period there will be serum sampling were collected and hormones measured (Testosterone, LH and FSH), testis was dissected and collected, all the samples were then fixed with 10% neutral buffered formalin, these steps are done to all groups of mice. Results revealed a statistically significant rise of testosterone(p< 0.05) in groups II correspondingly when compared with the control group and group I, also the results revealed a statistically significant increase in the serum levels of LH in groups II respectively when compared with the control and group I. FSH level in this study revealed non statistically significant between three groups. In conclusion, the rise in testosterone levels was dose-dependent as there was a consistent increase in groups II with increasing zinc concentrations. In conclusion, zinc particles have significant positive effects on male sex hormones at dosages within functional levels. Histological results show that group II in most sections of testis of this group revealed moderate deterioration of seminiferous tubules associated with congestion of interstitial blood vessels and interstitial edema. The magnified sections of testis showed small-sized seminiferous tubules which revealed low germinal epithelium, mild interstitial edema with vascular degeneration of most spermatogenic cells especially line of spermatogonium type (B). The control group revealed that the sections of testis were illustrated, which revealed normal appearance and normal cytoarchitectures of the testis, while group I. In the paper we describe a clinical case and provide integrated clinical and laboratory data of a patient with partial androgen resistance syndrome. A 25-year-old male was referred for medical evaluation for an infertile marriage. After a comprehensive assessment, he was diagnosed with hypergonadotropic hypogonadism, coronal hypospadia, left-sided varicocele, and oligoasthenoteratozoospermia. Cytogenetic analysis showed normal male karyotype (46,XY). Molecular genetic analysis identified the c.731_736delCGGTGT mutation in the exon 1 of the androgen receptor (AR) gene, what allowed for making a diagnosis of Reifenstein syndrome. In addition, we give a brief literature review of the clinical conditions associated with abnormal androgen sensitivity and discuss the problems of testing and counseling of patients with partial androgen resistance syndrome.

Abstract Background Peptic ulcer is an excoriated area of stomach or intestinal mucosa. Two experimental designs were proceeded: the first aimed. on twenty adult male albino rats, used to study the protective effect of both ranitidine and nizatidine; on the second, including sixty adult male albino rats, was used to study the therapeutic effect of ranitidine and nizatidine after induction of ulcer and also to evaluate the adverse effects of therapeutic doses of H2-receptor antagonists on male hormonal profile. The study aims to assess the gastroprotective effects of nizatidine and ranitidine and on treating of non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs) induced peptic ulcer and to evaluate its adverse effect on male sex hormones. Result The result revealed that ranitidine and nizatidine reduced incidence of ulceration. Histopathological findings showed a significant recovery of the alteration, and disturbance in male sex hormones. Conclusion Nizatidine is better than ranitidine in the management of NSAIDs induced peptic ulcer in rats.

Di-2-ethylhexyl phthalate (DEHP) is ubiquitous, known as an endocrine disruptor. DEHP is a widespread prevalence in general and occupational populations which raised great public concerns due to its potentially harmful health effects on the male reproductive system. We aimed to assess occupational levels of DEHP on gonadotropin and gonadal hormones including luteinizing hormone (LH), follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), total testosterone (TT), and sex hormone binding globulin (SHBG) and evaluate its potential effects on Asp327Asn polymorphisms SHBG gene. We measured the levels of DEHP of 90 male workers in one of polyvinyl chloride (PVC) industry plant using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay. Sex hormones were examined and Asp327Asn polymorphisms SHBG gene were detected by PCR-RFLP in all participants. The workers were divided into low- and high- DEHP exposed groups based on the geometric mean (GM) levels (183.86 U/L) in serum. TT and TT: LH ratio were negatively correlated to DEHP levels (r=−0.213, p=0.038), (r=−0.225, p=0.027), respectively. The linear regression analysis revealed that a 10-fold increase of serum DEHP was found to be associated with 2.07 fold decreased in TT and a 2.26 fold decreased in TT/LH ratio. Background: Isotretinoin (ISO) belongs to a family of drugs called retinoids. It is the most effective drug prescribed by dermatologists for the treatment of the inflammatory disease, acne vulgaris. A significant barrier to the use of ISO has worries regarding its adverse effect profile. Despite the well-recognized reproductive toxicity and teratogenicity in females, there is no warning related to the use by male patients in the medication prospectus. Current data on the effects on human male fertility is contradictory and inconclusive., Objectives: This study was undertaken to investigate the potential effects of ISO oral doses in the Sprague-Dawley male rat germ cells using the sperm morphology assay. Also, the serum levels of the follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), and testosterone were measured., Methods: The rat groups were given varying ISO doses via gastric gavage for seven consecutive days. The epididymis sperm specimens were microscopically examined for the following reproductive toxicity parameters: sperm concentration, examined viability, motility, and morphology. The serum FSH, LH, and testosterone levels were measured by using the corresponding enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) kit. There was a decrease in serum testosterone from 5.3±2.1 ng/mL before radiation to 4.2 ± 1.9 ng/mL at the end of radiotherapy (P=0.004) and 4.5 ± 2 ng/mL 4 to 6 weeks after radiotherapy (P=0.035). No significant correlation was seen between age and differences in sex hormones (LH, P=0.605; FSH, P=0.380; testosterone, P=0.161). Conclusion: There was a significant change in serum levels of male sex hormones after pelvic irradiation for rectal cancer (total dose, 50 Gy) that indicates considerable testicular damage under these circumstances. Thus, it seems logical to use techniques that reduce the radiation dose to the testicles and to consider the benefits of hormone replacement therapy as well as semen cryopreservation for high-risk patients who desire children in the future. The present study evaluates the effect of endogenous male sex hormones on the reactivity to α2-adrenoceptor activation, and to analyze the role of the endothelium in this response in intact and endothelially denuded superior mesenteric arteries from control and orchidectomized male Sprague-Dawley rats. The concentration-dependent constriction induced by clonidine was analyzed in the absence and presence of the nitric oxide synthase (NOS) inhibitor, Nω-nitro-L-arginine (L-NAME), cyclooxygenase (COX-1 and COX-2) inhibitors, indomethacin, the specific COX-2 inhibitor NS-398, the thromboxane-prostanoid receptor antagonist SQ29,548 and the thromboxane A2 (TXA2) synthase inhibitor, furegrelate. Endothelial NOS (eNOS), COX-2 and TXA2 synthase protein expression was studied by Western blot analysis. In addition, the basal and clonidine-stimulated production of TXB2, the stable TXA2 metabolite, was also measured. In intact vessels from control male rats, the concentration-dependent constriction induced by clonidine was increased by both L-NAME or endothelial removal, unaltered by indomethacin and decreased by NS-398; in denuded vessels, the clonidine response was decreased by NS-398 and unaltered by L-NAME, indomethacin, SQ29,548 or furegrelate. In intact vessels from orchidectomized rats, the constriction induced by clonidine was increased by L-NAME but practically abolished by indomethacin or NS-398; in endothelially denuded segments the clonidine response was unaltered by L-NAME, but was decreased by indomethacin, NS-398, SQ29,548 or furegrelate. Orchidectomy failed to modify eNOS,COX-2 and TXA2 synthase expression, and increased basal and clonidine-stimulated TXB2 release. These results show that TXA2 produced in smooth muscle cells is increased in mesenteric arteries from orchidectomized rats compared to their controls, and that this prostanoid is functionally involved in the vasoconstrictor response to clonidine only in arteries from the orchidectomized rats. The objective of the present study was to assess the effect of endogenous male sex hormones on the activity of protein kinase C (PKC), as well as the regulatory effect of this kinase on the neuronal nitric oxide (NO) release induced by electrical field stimulation (EFS; 200 mA; 0.3 ms; 1–16 Hz). For this purpose, superior mesenteric arteries from control and orchidectomized male Sprague-Dawley rats were used. PKC activity was greater in arteries from orchidectomized than control rats. Basal and EFS-induced NO release was similar in arteries from both groups despite the lower nNOS expression in arteries from orchidectomized rats. Phorbol 12,13-dibutyrate (PDBu), a PKC activator, EFS-induced NO release was higher in arteries from control compared to orchidectomized rats. Calphostin C, a non-selective PKC inhibitor, or Gö6976, a PKC inhibitor partially selective for conventional isoforms,abolished the EFS-induced NO release in arteries from control animals, while it was decreased in arteries from orchidectomized animals. The PKCζ pseudosubstrate inhibitor decreased EFS-induced NO release equally in both groups. The NO synthase (NOS) inhibitor Nω-nitro-L-arginine-methyl ester (L-NAME) enhanced the EFS-elicited contractions in arteries from both groups. Calphostin C increased the contractions elicited by EFS in arteries from control and orchidectomized rats. This increase was further enhanced by calphostin C plus L-NAME only in orchidectomized rats. PDBu reduced EFS-induced contraction in arteries from controls but did not affect it in orchidectomized rats. The further addition of L-NAME increased the responses in both types of arteries. These results show that PKC activity is enhanced in mesenteric arteries from orchidectomized rats, which may be the responsible for the greater nNOS activity in these arteries. Conventional and atypical PKCζ isoforms positively regulate nNOS activity in arteries from both control and orchidectomized rats, but the contribution of conventional PKC isoforms to enhanced nNOS activity seems to be greater in arteries from orchidectomized rats. We have examined the effect of male sex hormones on the myosin heavy chain (MHC) expression of the soleus and extensor digitorum longus (EDL) muscles. Young male adult Wistar rats were treated over a 25-day period with either oil (CON, n = 8), nandrolone (nortestosterone decanoate, NAN, n = 8), nandrolone combined with endurance exercise (treadmill running, NAN+EXE, n = 8), or were castrated (CAS, n = 8). The MHC composition of the soleus and EDL muscles was measured by electrophoresis. Castration and treatment with nandrolone had no effect (P > 0.05) on the relative levels of MHC in the soleus and EDL. In contrast, in NAN+EXE rats, the relative level of MHC-1 increased [slow isoform; mean (SD) 97.6 (4.7)% in NAN+EXE rats, versus 86.5 (7.5)% in CON rats] and MHC-2a decreased [fast isoform; 2.4 (4.7)% in NAN+EXE, versus 13.5 (7.5)% in CON rats], only in the soleus (P < 0.05). In conclusion, it appears that endogenous anabolic/androgenic steroids are not essential for the maintenance of the MHC expression of fast- and slow-twitch muscles in the young adult male rat. The nano-sized iron oxide (Fe 2 O 3 -NPs) is one of the most used engineered nanomaterials worldwide. This study investigated the efficacy of natural polyphenol resveratrol (RSV) (20 mg/kg b.wt, orally once daily) to alleviate the impaired sperm quality and testicular injury resulting from Fe 2 O 3 -NPs exposure (3.5 or 7 mg/kg b.wt, intraperitoneally once a week) for eight weeks. Spermiograms, sexual hormonal levels, oxidative stress indicators, and lipid peroxidation biomarker were assessed. Moreover, the steroidogenesis-related genes mRNA expressions were evaluated. The results showed that RSV substantially rescued Fe 2 O 3 -NPs-mediated sperm defects. Additionally, the Fe 2 O 3 -NPs-induced depressing effects on sperm motility and viability were markedly counteracted by RSV. Moreover, RSV significantly restored Fe 2 O 3 -NPs-induced depletion of testosterone, follicle-stimulated hormone, luteinizing hormone, and testicular antioxidant enzymes but reduced malondialdehyde content. Furthermore, the Fe 2 O 3 -NPs-induced downregulation of steroidogenesis-related genes (3 β-HSD, 17 β-HSD, and Nr5A1) was significantly counteracted in the testicular tissue of RSV-treated rats. These findings concluded that RSV could limit the Fe 2 O 3 -NPs-induced reduced sperm quality and testicular injury most likely via their antioxidant activity and steroidogenesis-related gene expression modulation.

Background: Cocos nucifera (Coconut, Arecaceae family) is consumed as dietary fruit but little is known of it as sex enhancer., Objective: To investigate male sex hormones and copulation behavior indices in male Wistar rats administered husks extract., Materials and Methods: Rats were grouped into control A, and treatment B to E (n=4); and administered husks extract at varying doses: 125mg/kg, 250mg/kg, 375mg/kg and 500mg/kg for 48days by oral intubation. Copulation behavior was assessed by introducing female rats to males (1:1) in a rectangular Plexiglas chamber and monitored by veterinary Anatomists. Blood samples for male sex hormones were collected and assayed by ELISA method., Results: Copulation behavior (500mg/kg treatment): mounting (9.66±0.79 to 29.08±2.16), ejaculation (7.66±0.38 to 16.93±0.76), intromission (22.01±1.67 to 38.11±3.35) frequencies, and ejaculation latency (7.92±0.43 to 12.28±0.41) increased remarkably (Group E). Correspondingly, mounting (133.31±1.18 to 93.39±0.43) and, intromission (88.13±3.12 to 74.55±1.19) latencies; post-ejaculation (3.16±0.14 to 2.18±0.34), inter-intromission (19.48±0.26 to 14.32±1.65) intervals reduced significantly (P≤0.05). Background: Widely known facts about Sars-Cov-2 infection's impact on urogenital system may play a relevant role in under-standing, diagnosing, and preventing male urological disorders. Sars-CoV-2 attacks the vascular endothelium of the entire organism; therefore, infection complications are visible in various organs. Relatively small number of original studies are available on Sars-CoV-2 infection and the effect on the reproductive system and fertility in men. The vast majority of publications focus only on discussing the effects of COVID-19 infection on just one aspect of male urology or fertility., Objectives: The aim of this review was to present the current understanding of the effects of COVID-19 infection on the male genitourinary system in the context of nephrological and reproductive system complications in men, considering the potential pathomechanisms causing significant nephrological disorders in the course of viral infection, as well as long-term effects of Sars-CoV-2 infection. We tried to make clinicians aware of urogenital complications in the course of COVID-19 occurrence and encourage them to create preventive procedures., Methods: The article presented has been classified by us as "review". Of course, when searching for publications and making their critique, we focused primarily on the words: "Sars-CoV-2", "male urogenital system", "male infertility", "lower urinary tract symptoms". Therefore, there was no explicit and rigorous work selection methodology. Search strategies were based on the experience of the authors of the work. In order to select articles for the systematic review, literature searches were conducted on PubMed (https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov) using the following keywords: "Sars-CoV- 2" AND "male urogenital system" OR "male infertility" The search results were retrieved and manually screened for duplicate removal. Then abstracts and titles were checked for relevance. The articles were selected if they met the following inclusion criteria: human studies, focus on Sars-CoV-2 and male urogenital system or male infertility, published from 2020 to 2021, written in English, free full-text available. We included clinical trials, meta-analyses, randomized controlled studies, reviews, systematic reviews., Results: After the literature search, a total of 267 articles were retrieved, including 153 reviews, 53 systematic reviews, and 61 original articles. Eventually, after abstract and title screening, 2 original articles, 29 reviews, and 8 systematic reviews were accepted. In our review paper, we presented data from 2 systematic reviews, 17 reviews, 2 meta-analyses, 1 case study, and 18 original articles, including 3 animals studies, 2 in vitro studies, and 14 human studies., Conclusion: Serious concerns for urologists among COVID-19 patients should be mainly orchitis, male infertility, priapism, erectile dysfunction, and lower urinary tract symptoms. Recent evidence indicates that a systemic state of inflammation may exert a negative effect on male fertility. The aim of this study is to evaluate sperm quality parameters in male patients with ulcerative colitis (UC). Between December 2019 and December 2020 semen analyses are performed in 50 patients with UC in clinical remission. The control group consists of 50 healthy volunteers. Total sperm count, sperm count, percentage of morphologically normal spermatozoa, viability, and progressive motility, are significantly lower in the study group than in healthy males (p < 0.001). The DNA fragmentation index (DFI) and oxidation-reduction potential (ORP) are significantly higher in the study group (28.9% and 1.55% on average, respectively) than in healthy males (14.6% and 0.79% on average, respectively). Bacteriospermia is more clearly observed in the study group (p = 0.037), and the most frequent pathogen is Enterococcus faecalis. The DFI and ORP are significantly higher in bacteria carriers, compared to males without microbial pathogens from both the study and control groups (p < 0.001). To conclude, UC patients have worse basic sperm parameters compared to their healthy counterparts. Deterioration of semen parameters, as well as an intensified DNA fragmentation could be a result of oxidative stress intensification. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Diets could play an important role in testicular function, but studies on how adherence to the dietary patterns influences human testicular function in Asian countries are scarce. Herein, we examined the association between testosterone-related dietary patterns and testicular function among adult men in Taiwan. This cross-sectional study recruited 3283 men who attended a private medical screening program from 2009 to 2015. Testosterone-related dietary pattern was generated by the reduced rank regression (RRR) method. The association between adherence to quartile of dietary pattern scores with sex hormones (testosterone, follicle-stimulating hormone (FSH), luteinizing hormone (LH), and estradiol (E2)) and sperm quality (sperm concentration (SC), total sperm motility (TSM), progressive motility (PRM), and normal sperm morphology (NSM)) were examined by multivariable linear regression. Hemoglobin (β = 0.57, p < 0.001), hematocrit (β = 0.17, p = 0.002), triglyceride (β = −0.84, p < 0.001), HDL-cholesterol (β = 3.58, p < 0.001), total cholesterol to HDL-cholesterol ratio (β = −0.78, p < 0.001), and uric acid (β = −10.77, p < 0.001) were highly correlated with testosterone levels. Therefore, these biomarkers were used to construct a testosterone-related dietary pattern. Highest adherence (Q4) to dietary pattern scores were negatively associated with lower testosterone in the pooled analysis (β = −0.89, p = 0.037) and normal-weight men (β = −1.48, p = 0.019). Likewise, men in the Q4 of the dietary pattern had lower SC (β = −5.55, p = 0.001) and NSM (β = −2.22, p = 0.007) regardless of their nutritional status. Our study suggesting that testosterone-related dietary pattern (rich in preserved vegetables or processed meat or fish, deep-fried foods, innards organs, rice or flour products cooked in oil, and dipping sauce, but low in milk, dairy products, legumes, or beans, and dark or leafy vegetables) was associated with a poor testicular function. Phoenixin (PNX) and nesfatin‐1 are localised in the hypothalamus and the pituitary gland. Moreover, the most of the PNX‐expressing neurons in the hypothalamus also co‐express nesfatin‐1. These outcomes may suggest that there is an interaction between PNX and nesfatin‐1, at least in terms of neuroendocrine‐mediated regulations. Hence, the study was planned to find out the effects of centrally delivered PNX and nesfatin‐1 on male sex hormones or to show the interactive association of intracerebroventricularly (ICV) injected PNX+nesfatin‐1 combination on the release of male hormones. PNX and nesfatin‐1, single or together, were delivered ICV to different male Wistar Albino rat groups. Both PNX and nesfatin‐1 induced a significant enhancement in plasma FSH, LH and testosterone without inducing any alteration in plasma GnRH in the rats. The central combinatorial treatment of both the neuropeptides produced a more potent rise in male plasma hormone levels than treating with single neuropeptide. In summary, our preliminary data show that centrally delivered PNX and nesfatin‐1 can affect plasma male hormone levels. Moreover, that the combinatorial treatment with both the neuropeptides in male rats leading to a more potent effect on the plasma male hormone levels might suggest that both these neuropeptides act synergistically in terms of regulation of male HPGA. Introduction: Studies show that antioxidants are important in improving male infertility. There are several antioxidant compounds in sesame seeds. Materials and Methods: This experimental study was carried out on 30 adults Wistar rat (200 gr). Rats were randomly divided into experimental and control groups. The control group received standard diet and experimental group received a diet containing 70% standard diet and 30% sesame seed for 12 weeks. At the end of the study, body weight, testis weight and volume were measured and histology of testis, epididymis and prostate were evaluated. Serum FSH, LH and Testosterone levels were measured as well. SPSS software was used to calculate t-test and p<0.05 was considered as significant. Results: The measured sperm count and motility, the number of epithelial cells and lumen diameter were increased significantly in the experimental group (p<0.0001). The number of spermatogonial cells, primary spermatocytes, spermatid and spermatozoa were increased significantly in the experimental group compared to the control group (pO.OOOl). The epididymal diameter, lumen diameter and epithelial thickness did not change significantly. Fibromascular and epithelium diameter of seminal vesicle in treatment group were very significant differences and volume density epithelium significantly increased in treatment group compared to control group but volume density, Fibromascular and lumen significantly decreased in treatment group compared to control group. LH concentration increased significantly in the experimental group (p<0.03). Conclusion: This is the first study, which evaluated the histology effect of sesame seed on reproductive system of adult Wistar rat.
