This study aims to explain how language plays a significant role in improving the performance of regional development banks in Indonesia. The method used was qualitative with a questionnaire instrument involving 6 regional development banks in Indonesia. Some of the main findings are 24 statements were found, 19 of which fall into 5 categories, namely assertive illocutionary speech acts, directive illocutionary speech acts, expressive illocutionary speech acts, commissive illocutionary speech acts, and declarative illocutionary speech acts. In its implementation, the process emphasizing the humanistic approach scored over 90%. By prioritizing language training initiatives that emphasize the mastery of illocutionary speech acts, regional banks in Indonesia can expect improved operational efficiency, strengthened customer relationships and a more strategic approach to communication, contributing to the overall development and success of the banking sector. This study is limited to the context of only one type of bank, the regional development bank. It is further suggested that there is a strong need to provide adequate and timely capacity building for the employees of regional development banks, particularly in language training as part of public service and satisfaction development.

Each schools have the autonomous right to manage and develop an independent curriculum according to its potential. However, the implementation of the independent learning curriculum is dependent on proper management at the school level, so there may be obstacles faced by schools in managing the independent learning curriculum. The purpose of this study is to investigate the concept and problems, as well as school strategies in managing an independent learning curriculum in laboratory schools. This research was studied qualitatively with a multi-site study design. Data collection was conducted through focus group discussions (FGDs) with semi-structured interviews, observations, and documentation studies. Data validity was checked using source triangulation, discussion among fellow researchers, and adequacy of reference materials. Data analysis techniques used constant comparative analysis. The results show that learning activities in the independent curriculum emphasize character education and the achievement of students' happiness in learning, and schools implement differentiated learning and simplify the values contained in P5 through projects and fun learning. This research contributes theoretically and practically, by complementing previous literature and can be a guide for school managers in order to ideally manage an independent curriculum.

Lecturers' academic careers as professional workers have a different process from other workers. Understanding career insights is important for lecturers in carrying out their profession. this research aims to test the moderating effect of managerial support on the influence of career motivation and self-concept on career insight. this research uses quantitative methods, data collection uses instruments with a 1-5 Likert scale. Respondents were 499 lecturers in Jakarta, Indonesia. The data analysis technique uses SEM PLS. The research results show that career motivation and self concept have a positive effect on lecturers' career insight. meanwhile, managerial support does not have a significant moderating effect on the influence of career motivation and self concept on career insight. this research recommends the need for efforts to increase the role of managerial support in increasing lecturers' career insight. this is an opportunity for further research with different theoretical and methodological aspects.

The potential for vocational students to achieve success in entrepreneurship is considerable, especially since they have acquired specific skills that are in line with their area of specialization since the beginning of their vocational schooling. However, schools cannot be alone in promoting entrepreneurial careers among vocational students. This study aims to measure the role of three educational centers, in influencing self-efficacy, entrepreneurial intention and career choice as an entrepreneur. This study was approached with a quantitative approach using structural equation modeling (SEM), the sample in the study was 354 vocational students. Data analysis through four stages, namely exploratory factor analysis, normality and outlier tests, confirmatory factor analysis and hypotheses testing (structural model). The results showed that the three education centers significantly influence self-efficacy and entrepreneurial intention which in turn can encourage students to choose a career as an entrepreneur. This research contributes to the understanding of how the three education centers can be an important catalyst in shaping a generation of resilient and innovative entrepreneurs.

The research on artificial intelligence in mathematics education has attracted much attention from researchers since the last decade. This study aims to provide holistic information about artificial intelligence in mathematics education research using bibliometric analysis. Data for the analysis were extracted from the Scopus database from 1986-2023. The analysis, conducted using R-packages (Bibliometrix) and VOSviewer software, identifies the relevant nations, affiliations, journals, articles, and keywords on artificial intelligence in mathematics education research. The study reveals that 565 documents have been published in 354 journals, with an average annual growth rate of 11.27%. These documents, on average, have received 14.61 citations each. The research field has engaged a total of 1,847 authors, with an average of 3.26 authors contributing to each document. Additionally, 17.17% of these publications involved international co-authorship, indicating a moderate level of global collaboration. Our findings reveal a growing interest in using artificial intelligence as an educational tools and methods, particularly in the United States and China, which lead in publication output and citations. The analysis also reveals emerging trends and research gaps. The keywords such as "virtual reality," "sustainable development," and "COVID-19" reflect recent research focus on artificial intelligence in mathematics education research. Meanwhile, the keywords such as "mathematical literacy," "assessment," and "gamification" identified as underexplored areas, suggesting potential opportunities for future research on artificial intelligence in mathematics education research.

The Merdeka Belajar curriculum is the current curriculum developed by the Indonesian Ministry of Education, which should be implemented thoroughly in 2024. Project-based learning is identically engaged with this curriculum, which offers many advantages to enrich the quality of education. This method has been promoted and implemented in several schools across the region in Indonesia, yet many teachers still need help applying it. This research explores the project-based learning steps for preschool teachers in Bandung through a community service program by Industrial Engineering lecturers in Indonesia. There were 42 participants from 35 kindergarten and playgroup schools who joined the PJBL workshop. With an active learning workshop delivery, a significant result has been achieved that could increase their understanding of the PJBL concept. The "A Healthy House" project was an example of the topic covered in the workshop. To check the participant's knowledge of the PjbL steps, the questionnaire was distributed two times, before and after the workshop ended. Using the Mc Nemart test, the PJBL workshop has significantly impacted the teachers. They could understand the principles of PjBL and the steps of the methods.

This research presents an investigation on the utilization of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) with Project-Based Learning as experiment class treatment and project-based learning as control class treatment to investigate students' critical thinking in optical instruments lessons, with a particular focus on the development of handmade projectors. In Indonesian schools, where there is a lack of integration of the STEM and learning activity itself, it is still in the form of a direct transfer of knowledge from teachers to students. This research used quantitative research with a quasi-experimental design. The method for data collection is purposive random sampling. The research participant consists of 60 eighth-grade middle high school students in Bandung chosen based on a purposive random sampling technique. The data is obtained through five open-ended essay questions about critical thinking skills. The result shows that the independent t-test for students' critical thinking is 0.081, which means there are no significant differences between the control and experiment classes. However, in the STEM Project-based learning model, The N-gain of students' critical thinking skills is 0.718, which is a high improvement. Moreover, on Project-Based Learning, the N-gain of students' critical thinking skills is 0.660, which is a medium improvement.

Peer Assessment (PA) has recently been gaining increasing popularity in higher education due to its advantages in engaging students, and its use in English as a Foreign Language (EFL) writing classes is very common in Indonesia. The implementation of PA became more necessary when the government regulated emergency remote teaching in response to the COVID-19 crisis. This study examines the implementation of an online peer assessment (OPA) and the constraints encountered by the students in the OPA of a paragraph writing class. To achieve the objectives of this study, an embedded mixed method design was employed, which consists of an interview, observations, documentation, and a survey. The respondents in this study are a teacher of the writing class and 30 English Education Department students of a state university. The gleaned qualitative data were analyzed thematically while the quantitative data were analyzed by finding the percentages generated by Google Forms. The results show that the teacher made use of the three stages of the OPA: preparation, instruction, and evaluation. The students faced three constraints: the quality of the feedback, impartiality, and the clarity of the assessment criteria. It is recommended that when performing an OPA, teachers provide clear instructions regarding the stages and pay attention to the issues experienced by students.

The background of this research is the low interest of children learning social studies, meanwhile, the purpose of this study was to increase interest and social studies learning achievement with the subject of growth and development of the national spirit with the Think Pair Share Pedagogic Criticle (TPSPC) learning model in class VIII students. This study used a class action research approach (classroom action research). The research was conducted at Kasihan 1 Public Middle School, Yogyakarta, with 34 students in class VIII A as the subjects. The data analysis technique in this study was to examine all available data, both qualitative and quantitative data from various sources, namely from observations, questionnaires, field notes, practice questions, quizzes, interviews, achievement tests, and documentation. The results of the study show that the TPSPC learning model can improve; (1) Students' interest in learning material grows and develops the national spirit of class VIII students from the percentage of students' initial interest before the action of 56% in the moderate category to 71.30% in the high category in cycle I, and increases to 74.70% in the middle category high in cycle II; (2) Student achievement in the matter of growing and developing the national spirit of class VIII students from the pre-action achievement average score of 63.5 with completeness reaching 44.12% (low category). After conducting research in cycle I, the average value of students became 72.66 with completeness reaching 65.62% (high category). In cycle II the average score of students was 89.35 with completeness reaching 94.12% (very high category); (3) The implementation of learning from observations of teacher activities was 88.88% in the very high category in cycle I to 97.22% in very high category in cycle II.

Increasing the number of entrepreneurs is not just a school task, it requires joint work between educational institutions and the community. Using structural equation modeling, this research aims to investigate the role of community in promoting entrepreneurial careers for students, by adding achievement motivation, entrepreneurial attitudes, and entrepreneurial intentions as predictor variables. The population of this research was high school students in urban areas, and the sample was taken based on convenience sampling, with a total of 300 students participating. Data were analyzed using EFA, CFA, and structural model evaluation using SPSS 24.0 and AMOS 24.0. The research results show that all hypotheses are accepted, meaning that community support influences students' entrepreneurial career choices, as do other predictor variables. This study can provide guidance for developing educational strategies and policies that support the development of young entrepreneurs in the future, through predictor variables.

Understanding the mixing behaviour of elements in a multielement material is important to control its structure and property. When the size of a multielement material is decreased to the nanoscale, the miscibility of elements in the nanomaterial often changes from its bulk counterpart. However, there is a lack of comprehensive and quantitative experimental insight into this process. Here we explored how the miscibility of Au and Rh evolves in nanoparticles of sizes varying from 4 to 1 nm and composition changing from 15% Au to 85% Au. We found that the two immiscible elements exhibit a phase-separation-to-alloy transition in nanoparticles with decreased size and become completely miscible in sub-2 nm particles across the entire compositional range. Quantitative electron microscopy analysis and theoretical calculations were used to show that the observed immiscibility-to-miscibility transition is dictated by particle size, composition and possible surface adsorbates present under the synthesis conditions.

This study uses structural equation modeling (SEM) analysis techniques, with the aim of testing the structural effect of family support, entrepreneurial training, on entrepreneurial intentions, with self-efficacy and student achievement motivation as mediators. A total of 203 students participated in this study, through a questionnaire distributed online. The SEM analysis was performed using the Amos 24 App. The results showed that the family environment and entrepreneurship training had a direct and indirect effect on entrepreneurial intentions through self-efficacy and student achievement motivation. The model proposed and tested in this study can be a constructive guide for related parties in an effort to promote students' entrepreneurial intentions.

Learning resources are everything that can be used to facilitate the learning process. Folklore is one of the cultural products that can be innovated as a biodiversity learning resource in high school. This study reviewed relevant literature regarding folklore from various regions of Indonesia to examine and analyse the potential of folklore as a learning resource for biodiversity. The descriptive analysis revealed that the contents of folklore can be used to study examples of the biodiversity level, the regional distribution of Indonesia's biodiversity, flora and fauna characteristics of Oriental, Australian, and Transitional, benefits of biodiversity and its conservation efforts. In addition, folklore as a learning resource also has the potential to develop student competencies such as environmental care, creative thinking, critical thinking, and problem-solving. However, the folklore content cannot describe all the material on biodiversity, therefore it must be combined with other learning resources for use in the biodiversity learning process.

This study proposes a new giving behavior model for higher education institutions (HEI), featuring alumni connectedness as a primary predictor. This contrasts with previous studies that measured variables that showed an inconsistent influence as predictors of alumni's desire to contribute. Alumni connectedness, built from socio-psychological literature, is a multidimensional variable that can capture the complexity of the alumni-university relationship. Connectedness consists of relatability, dependency and a sense of community, which combine students' experiences with university services while at university and afterward This research utilized an online survey that yielded 642 usable responses to validate the model. The model testing results indicate that connectedness significantly influences alumni's intentions to contribute. Extending relationship marketing principles, this model may assist in restructuring alumni databases by classifying different degrees of alumni connectedness. The differences in connectedness level can help design more contextual alumni marketing programs.

Authentic contextual learning (ACL) with mobile apps near home became prevalent and promising due to the COVID-19 pandemic since students were asked to learn near home without going to school. However, learning with mobile apps may cause problematic issues, such as anxiety and acceptance of either students or parents. This study aims to investigate students' learning achievements and anxiety and acceptance of students and parents toward ACL with a mobile app, called UG, in two different places, Taoyuan-Taiwan (TG) and Yogyakarta-Indonesia (YG), during the COVID-19 pandemic. The results indicate that students' achievements in both places were significantly improved. Regarding anxiety, significant differences were found between students' and parents' anxiety in both places; a high positive acceptance of students and parents in both places implies no significant difference. In addition, we discuss the different correlations of students' mobile phone entertainment daily usage, parents' educational levels, anxiety, acceptance, and achievements between TG and YG.

Multiculturalism in the school environment is challenging for all educational systems. This study examines the effect of multicultural school leadership on multicultural teacher culture and determines mediating effects of multicultural inspiration, personality, and attitude. A quantitative research approach using a cross-sectional survey was used for this study. The population and sample of this study were school principals and high school teachers in Central Java Province, Indonesia. The participants were a total of 357 individuals. Data analysis was done by structural equation modeling (SEM) using the software AMOS 24. The results show that multicultural school leadership directly influences multicultural teacher culture. This study also highlights multicultural inspiration, multicultural personality, and multicultural attitude as factors that mediate the effect of multicultural school leadership on multicultural teacher culture. This study makes a practical and theoretical contribution, especially by providing data to support the improvement of multicultural teacher culture and the importance of multicultural leadership of school leaders in influencing these factors through multicultural inspiration, personality, and attitude.

The job competence and discipline are the important factors to improve the performance of individual who is attached with organization. However, few studies provide a better explanation in terms of the role of job competence and discipline in the education sector, especially the lecturers' performance during COVID-19 pandemic outbreak. This study applies the quantitative research methodology and has received 132 responded online questionnaires from the lecturers in Makassar area, Indonesia. This study finds that there is a significant relationship with a positive direction between job competence and discipline on the lecturers' performance, and interestingly, the organization's performance as well. The result of this study suggests that although the health crisis caused by the Corona virus recently impacts many sectors around the world, including service field in education, the lecturers, however, the job competence and discipline are still vital in every aspect of lecturers' performance in both online and offline way during the social distancing procedure.

The purpose of this research study is to explore insights to create more contextual lecturer performance indicators (LPIs); and to gain a fairer and more useful evaluation tool for lecturers in the online environment during the COVID-19 pandemic. This significant change in conditions has forced higher education to understand the new requirements, especially of lecturers, who have played a central role in creating engaging moments for students in online classes. This study adopts a qualitative approach, based on the need for a more in-depth exploration of new phenomena. It explores students' daily lives in class, which were expressed through social media, and gains further understanding through in-depth interviews with students and lecturers. The results indicate that most of the items taken from the Social-Task-Technology-Fit (STTF) framework remain the same; there are not many changes compared to the era before the pandemic. However, some aspects have new meanings that need to be revisited to capture the lecturers' performance in the new context. Three new themes emerged from the exploration study which have never been discussed in previous studies on LPIs for online teaching, especially in abnormal conditions such as a pandemic. The first theme concerns the variations in digital literacy of lecturers and the implications for lecturers' performance. The second theme is the dynamic ratio of social versus task activities, which implies the need to focus on academic (task-oriented) or non-academic (social) tasks. The third theme is the degree of controllability of each performance. This study provides awareness of the importance of weighting in evaluating lecturer performance, especially when not all lecturers are digitally literate, not all factors are controllable, and the ratios between social versus task requirements are not the same. These weighted evaluations have never been discussed in previous studies, which mainly used quantitative surveys. In addition, these insights can also be applied to online learning beyond the pandemic. The study results can be used by higher education information management to design more contextual LPIs for the early detection of issues with lecturer performance.

Learning or lecturing, which are an essential part of the education process, are often presented only by cramming the teaching materials' contents to students but defying values. Allowing this to continue to happen will unquestionably lead to the next generation's increasingly tense situation, who are already in a messy condition and may lose their creative character. Along with character education that is always echoed, the presence of the MURRDERR strategy (Metaphor, Understand, Recall, Recognize, Detect, Elaborate, Review, and Respect) in classroom learning is expected to be one of the excellent and attractive choices for instilling lively characters in students. This paper provides a brief overview of the results of five semesters in total, including two semesters of applying the MURRDERR strategy in lectures at the Elementary Teacher Education Program, especially in mathematics lectures. Two research phases: first, didactic design research to produce teaching materials that can optimize the emergence of creative characters and followed by a quasi-experimental method. As a result, (1) the MURRDERR strategy provided a better contribution than conventional (expository/lecturing) learning in developing the creative character of students of the Elementary School Teacher Program, (2) teaching material developed through didactic design research was beneficial in achieving optimal learning outcomes, (3) students of the Elementary School Teacher Program with a background in science education tended to equip and prepare themselves to deal with issues related to creativity.

This study aimed to implement a learning model developed by the Group Investigation E-Task in Activities Learning (GIETAL) model for theoretical learning during the COVID-19 pandemic. The learning process that previously used conventional methods has been changed to online learning. For this reason, a practical and effective learning model is needed for students in higher education. The method used was the GIETAL model founded on the ADDIE method. The data processed after implementing this model were from the respondents consisting of 54 students of two lecturers. The results of testing the practicality of this study had a practical level of 86.66%. It could be concluded that the GIETAL Model is beneficial in teaching Database Design courses during the COVID-19 pandemic. Furthermore, this implemented learning model was proven to improve student learning outcomes effectively; this was underlined by 51 students (94.44%) graduating and passing the minimum criteria set in the semester learning plan. This research's final result was implementing a practical and effective GIETAL learning model for university students.

This study aimed to determine the adaptation of lecturers and students to using technology as a learning medium. The research method used is descriptive qualitative research. The instrument used is a questionnaire. The population in this study were all Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education (PGMI) students in Indonesia, and the sample was more than 40 Madrasah Ibtidaiyah Teacher Education (PGMI) Study Programs at public university (PTN) and private university (PTS) in Indonesia involving 1294 students. The study results found that the effectiveness of the application of distance learning methods in the pandemic era was usually responded to by most students; some even responded less and very poorly. Mastery of lecturers in distance learning media is good; some dominant lecturers use google classroom, zoom, and WhatsApp.

High-entropy alloy (HEA) nanoparticles are promising catalyst candidates for the acidic oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Herein, we report the synthesis of IrFeCoNiCu-HEA nanoparticles on a carbon paper substrate via a microwave-assisted shock synthesis method. Under OER conditions in 0.1 M HClO4, the HEA nanoparticles exhibit excellent activity with an overpotential of ∼302 mV measured at 10 mA cm-2 and improved stability over 12 h of operation compared to the monometallic Ir counterpart. Importantly, an active Ir-rich shell layer with nanodomain features was observed to form on the surface of IrFeCoNiCu-HEA nanoparticles immediately after undergoing electrochemical activation, mainly due to the dissolution of the constituent 3d metals. The core of the particles was able to preserve the characteristic homogeneous single-phase HEA structure without significant phase separation or elemental segregation. This work illustrates that under acidic operating conditions, the near-surface structure of HEA nanoparticles is susceptible to a certain degree of structural dynamics.

Silver-copper (AgCu) bimetallic catalysts hold great potential for electrochemical carbon dioxide reduction reaction (CO2RR), which is a promising way to realize the goal of carbon neutrality. Although a wide variety of AgCu catalysts have been developed so far, it is relatively less explored how these AgCu catalysts evolve during CO2RR. The absence of insights into their stability makes the dynamic catalytic sites elusive and hampers the design of AgCu catalysts in a rational manner. Here, we synthesized intermixed and phase-separated AgCu nanoparticles on carbon paper electrodes and investigated their evolution behavior in CO2RR. Our time-sequential electron microscopy and elemental mapping studies show that Cu possesses high mobility in AgCu under CO2RR conditions, which can leach out from the catalysts by migrating to the bimetallic catalyst surface, detaching from the catalysts, and agglomerating as new particles. Besides, Ag and Cu manifest a trend to phase-separate into Cu-rich and Ag-rich grains, regardless of the starting catalyst structure. The composition of the Cu-rich and Ag-rich grains diverges during the reaction and eventually approaches thermodynamic values, i.e., Ag0.88Cu0.12 and Ag0.05Cu0.95. The separation between Ag and Cu has been observed in the bulk and on the surface of the catalysts, highlighting the importance of AgCu phase boundaries for CO2RR. In addition, an operando high-energy-resolution X-ray absorption spectroscopy study confirms the metallic state of Cu in AgCu as the catalytically active sites during CO2RR. Taken together, this work provides a comprehensive understanding of the chemical and structural evolution behavior of AgCu catalysts in CO2RR.
