Competition has characteristics that position sport as a fruitful field for the study of human affective processes of interest for psychology, such as anxiety, especially in disciplines such as military parachuting due to its uniqueness. This study aimed to analyse the validity of the Spanish version of the CSAI-2R inventory through a reliable model and to determine the interrelation, both among themselves and with anxiety, of certain specific technical variables related to sports performance in parachuting. The questionnaire was supplied to 42 jumpers in the Spanish National Military Championship. The results indicate that a reliable model has been established, but it is necessary to realise a multivariate relationship between components of competitive anxiety and specific variables of military skydiver's sporting experience in competition. It would be appropriate to reflect on what other psychological and technical variables may influence the sporting performance achieved, because it is a modality that has very particular conditions compared to the rest, not only because of the space, environment and form where and how the activity itself is carried out but also because of the context in which it is framed, as a result of the peculiarities that define the group to which the competitors belong. The quality of use of websites of entities managing nautical facilities was explored with the main objective of knowing its ability to attract potential users in the field of active tourism in nature. This activity is increasingly on the rise and has a significant impact on the economy. 304 websites were evaluated using the multipurpose model 2QCV3Q. It obtained these spaces have a good quality or even above average quality above average reference entities with a value of 3.55 (±0.7) in the Overall Evaluation. The best results were for the dimensions of Identity, Location, and Maintenance, identified as spearheading factors for good ratings. There was significance (p<0.05) between the Regions that were on the coast and those that were not, with the former performing better. Their websites can serve as reference models for those who want to position themselves in the sector through digital marketing. This was not the case when differentiating between island and mainland entities due to the great weight of mainland coastal institutions in the market. Furthermore, there is a quantity and quality predominance of Yacht Clubs, opposed to Companies, Schools and other types of entities, with more lucrative form of organisation. These Yacht Clubs' values position them as reference entities for the rest. The research's added value comprises that, in order to attract potential users, the elements on which web communication efforts should be focused are those related to brand identity, technical and maintenance aspects, and those related to interaction, communication with the user, and positioning in social networks. Selling the uniqueness of the natural space where the activity is carried out and the richness of its biodiversity can position the entity against others in the network through a strong brand identity. University students will play an important role in making decisions that will affect the environment, as future leaders of our society. Their level of sensitivity and environmental knowledge will play an important role in adequately facing future challenges. This article aims to measure the sustainability awareness of a sample of future graduates in Physical Activity and Sport Sciences in Spain. The literature supports that the sensitivity of these students can be estimated by using the Spanish adaptation of the SCQ-S. This allows for establishing the level of knowledge, attitudes and behaviour pertaining to sustainability in three dimensions: environmental, social and economic. The sample consisted of 170 students (58.8% males; 41.2% females) with a mean age of 20.5 years (±4.039). The overall Cronbach's alpha showed a fairly good value (α = 0.836). The same was true for the Kaiser–Meyer–Olkin test values (KMO = 0.816) and Bartlett's sphericity test (p < 0.001). The knowledge construct (4.56 ± 0.53) was the highest descriptive, followed by attitude (4.12 ± 0.59). The lowest value was behaviour (3.79 ± 0.66). By gender, girls obtained the highest sensitivity indexes. In addition, the place of habitual residence and physical activity in the natural environment were related to the overall behaviour of the university students. The main objective of performance sport is to obtain achievements at the highest level through the adequate development of the athlete. The scientific literature demonstrates the fundamental role played by the inclusion of certain psychological variables in the training plan. This study examined the psychological profile of kayak polo players through the variables of burnout, optimism, and mood in the hours prior to the competition, relating these to each other and to some sociodemographic data. A sample of 86 canoeists, 60 men (69.8%) and 26 women (30.2%), with an age measurement of 24.4 ± 9.1 years belonging to the first male and female kayak polo division, completed the POMS-29, the LOT-R, and the IBD-R. Athletes' levels of optimism were found to be significantly correlated with mood. Optimism also influenced emotional exhaustion. In addition, seniority and internationality were decisive factors in the level of optimism and mood achieved. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The aim of this study is to understand the type of leadership used by sailing crews. The sample consisted of a total of 45 subjects (97.8% men and 2.2% women), and the average age was 44.61 (±11,1) years old. A questionnaire about multifactorial leadership MLQ-5S (Bernard Bass & Bruce Avolio, 2000) was provided. It is formed by 45 items, from which 3 well-differentiated and non-exclusive leadership profiles can be obtained. The results show the crew of the racing sailing-boats had a transformational style of leadership (3.36 points), which was above of the transactional leadership and the style laissez faire or low leadership. In current society, the practice of physical activity has increased in a significant manner increasing the globalisation and diversification of sporting events, having among them open sea swimming crossings. This fact is fostering an increase in scientific studies which analyse these sporting events, particularly the assessment of perceived quality from the point of view of the participant. The goal of this study was to evaluate the perceived quality, perceived value, satisfaction and future intentions of participants in swimming crossings. The instrument used is made up of two scales, one of perceived quality of the event of 32 items and the other of general quality of 15 items. The questionnaire was distributed telematically to a sample of 93 swimmers in total, participants in a swimming crossing. The results showed that the best valued dimensions were, in terms of the scale of perceived quality the dimension of personal interaction with a value of 5.72 and in terms of the global scale the dimensions of future intentions and satisfaction, with scores of around 5.5 points. All dimensions obtained higher scores from the least experienced participants. The use of this questionnaire will help organisers and companies elaborate strategies which will allow the improvement of the event increasing the level of satisfaction and seeking the fidelity of the participants. An educational physical education (PE) hybridization program based on the personal and social responsibility model and gamification strategies was used in order to explore the effect on cognitive performance and academic achievement. A 9-month group-randomized controlled trial was conducted, with 150 participants (age: 14.63 ± 1.38) allocated into the control group (CG, n = 37) and experimental group (EG, n = 113). Inhibition, verbal fluency, planning, and academic achievement were assessed. Significant differences were observed in the post-test for cognitive inhibition, verbal fluency (named animals), and the mean of both verbal fluency tasks in favor of the EG. With regard to the intervention, verbal fluency (named animals), verbal fluency (named vegetables), the mean of both verbal fluency tasks, cognitive inhibition, language, the average of all subjects, the average of all subjects except PE, and the average from the core subjects increased significantly in the EG. Values for the last five variables (academic variables and cognitive inhibition) in addition to mathematics also increased in the CG. This study contributes to the current knowledge by suggesting that both methodologies produced improvements in the measured variables, but the use of the hybridization resulted in improvements in cognitive performance, specifically with regard to cognitive inhibition and verbal fluency. Sport is a valuable tool for sustainable development. This is recognized in the Kazan Action Plan, in the 2030 Agenda, itself, and in the Action Plan for its implementation in Spain. In order to broaden the scope of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), it is necessary to carefully consider both the possible synergies and existing inconsistencies that can enhance and weaken the contribution of sport to sustainable development. Taking as reference the international recommendations in this regard, it will be necessary to take into account the concept of "policy coherence" in both its vertical and horizontal dimensions. Advancing in the achievement of the SDGs largely requires involving subnational governments and the rest of the stakeholders, promoting decision-making based on concrete and reliable common indicators. Starting from the methodology developed globally by the Sustainable Development Solutions Network (SDSN) for locating the SDGs, a comparative analysis of the sports situation of each Spanish Autonomous Community will be carried out as a diagnosis. This is to show the existing inequalities between territories in relation to the selected indicators and, at the same time, identify some of the main limitations and gaps that we currently find in Spain to perform this location in a more effective way. This study was undertaken to analyse differences in physical, psychological and anthropometric markers related to success in Olympic wrestling. Thirty seven male Freestyle and Greco-Roman wrestlers were assigned to two groups according to their competitive level: Elite (a = 18) and Amateur (a = 19). All the subjects underwent an anthropometric assessment, a complete physical fitness test battery (maximal dynamic and isometric strength, muscle power output, crank-arm Wingate test, running speed and hamstring extensibility) as well as a psychological characteristics assessment associated with spurt performance through the Psychological Performance Inventory. The elite wrestlers were older, had more training experience, a fat free mass, maximal dynamic and isometric strength, muscle power, mean and peak power during Wingate testing and significantly higher self- perceptions of self-control, attitude control and the total a ventage of the sum of all the scales. These results suggest that the optimisation of neuromuscular and anaerobic metabolism and several psychological performance markers are conditional and thus predictive of success in wrestling. Physical activity (PA), body composition and sedentary behavior may affect the health of children. Therefore, this study examined the effect of an educational hybrid physical education (PE) program on physical fitness (PF), body composition and sedentary and PA times in adolescents. A 9-month group-randomized controlled trial was conducted in 150 participants (age: 14.63 ± 1.38 years) allocated into the control group (CG, n = 37) and experimental group (EG, n = 113). Cardiorespiratory fitness, speed, strength, agility, flexibility and body mass index (BMI) were assessed through previously validated field tests. Sedentary time, PA at school and afterschool were evaluated with the Youth Activity Profile-Spain questionnaire. Significant differences were observed concerning to the CG in APA-weekend ( p = 0.044), speed-agility ( p = 0.005) and agility ( p = 0.008). Regarding the intervention, cardiorespiratory fitness ( p = 0.000), speed-agility ( p = 0.000), strength ( p = 0.000), flexibility ( p = 0.000), agility ( p = 0.000), PA in school ( p = 0.011), APA-weekday ( p = 0.001), APA-weekend ( p = 0.000), APA-week ( p = 0.000), and sedentary time ( p = 0.000) increased significantly in the EG.
