Introduction: The focus of coverage on female athletes is starting to shift, with more recognition of the achievements and dedication to Sports. Despite improvements in representation, there is still a gap in public recognition of female athletes compared to males, specifically in sports awards or promotional platforms. Objective: This study aimed to explore the representation of female athletes in sports media with a focus on achievement emphasis, gender stereotypes, and coverage orientation. Methodology: Systematic literature review (SLR) was used to investigate the form in which female athletes were represented in the media during different periods. Results: The results showed inequality between female and male athletes, as females were often offered less recognition and attention commensurate with the achievements. Additionally, gender stereotypes influenced the representation of female athletes in sports coverage due to more concentration on the physical or aesthetic aspects than achievements in sports. During the review, significant changes in the approach of media to female athletes were detected over time. Conclusions: Changes in the representation of female athletes in sports media are essential to creating a more equitable and inclusive narrative of the achievements. The results signified a need for changes in the media coverage of female sports, emphasizing the achievements and dedication as well as minimizing existing gender stereotypes.

This study aims to assess the validity, reliability, and relevance of the Kemp-Vincent Rally Test as an instrument to evaluate basic tennis skills among students in FIK UNY. The design of this research was quantitative descriptive with a survey method. The population in this research was all students at the Faculty of Sports Science UNY. Then, the samples were chosen from students of four study programs at the faculty. These students had taken tennis courses and could play tennis. They were chosen using a purposive sampling technique, and 34 students were selected, consisting of 22 men and 12 women. The data were collected using tests and measurements. The validity test was carried out by correlating the best results of the test-retest. The results of the ½ competition match were then analyzed using the Spearman Rank Correlation formula through the SPSS for Windows Version 10.0 Program. After that, the reliability was assessed using the same correlation formula, while the relevance was tested using the T-Score formula. The results indicated that the validity test of the Kemp-Vincent Rally test showed a rho value of - 0.782 for male students and -0.822 for female students. The reliability test showed a rho value of 0.981 for male students and 0.944 for female students. In the relevance test, the Kemp-Vincent Rally test for male students was categorized as very relevant (18.18%), relevant (27.27%), and quite relevant (27.27%). Only one-third of the results were classified as less relevant (18.18%) and very less relevant (9.10%). Meanwhile, the relevance test for female students was categorized as very relevant (0.00%), relevant (16.67%), quite relevant (50.00%), less relevant (16.67%), and very less relevant (16.67%). Based on these results, it can be concluded that the Kemp-Vincent Rally Test has adequate validity and reliability and is still relevant if used as an assessment instrument to assess the basic technical tennis skills of FIK UNY students.

To evaluate the basic technical skills of service, forehand groundstroke, backhand groundstroke, forehand and backhand volley, an appropriate and accurate assessment instrument is needed according to the actual tennis game situation. The purpose of this research is to develop an assessment instrument model to the 5 basic techniques based on the acentos method for junior tennis players in the Yogyakarta Region. The design to develop the assessment instrument applies the Research and Development 4D model (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate). The approach applied was both quantitative and qualitative (mixed method). The research subjects involved 25 junior tennis players of Yogyakarta Province who were under 18 years old in Yogyakarta comprising: 15 male tennis players and 10 female tennis players. Junior tennis players used as research subjects are junior tennis players who actively participate in junior tennis matches in Yogyakarta and the National Tennis Championships. The content validity testing was based on Content Validity Ratio (CVR), while the reliability testing was based on the statistics analysis of Alpha Cronbach Consistency by using SPSS application of genova program package, while the inter-rater reliability coefficient was analyzed using ANOVA. The results showed that the assessment instrument had very good content validity, which was: 0.71-1.00 (> 0.50): 0.71-1.00 (> 0.50), the feasibility level of the assessment instrument is good, and the high inter-rater reliability coefficient = 0.866 - 0.902 (r = ≥ 0.80). In addition, the factors and indicators of assessment instruments for basic techniques of service, forehand and backhand groundstroke, forehand and backhand volley based on the acentos method were successfully developed, consist of: (1) self-confidence and mental game/psychology, (2) before executing the stroke/stage: perception and decision, (3) the execution of the stroke and the result/stage: execution and feedback, and (4) the attitude and behavior in playing tennis. Thus, it can be concluded that the assessment instrument for basic techniques of service, forehand and backhand groundstroke, forehand and backhand volley based on the acentos method can be used as an assessment instrument for basic techniques for Yogyakarta Region junior tennis players. Background and Study Aim. Physical abilities and fundamental skills are essential characteristics of football players requiring in-depth analysis, but the results of previous short-term investigations lack a comprehensive overview. Therefore, this study aimed to conduct a longitudinal analysis of physical abilities and fundamental skills development, as well as the simultaneous development of both among young football players. Material and Method. This quantitative longitudinal descriptive study recruited 31 male football players aged 13-15 as participants with weights of approximately 47-60 kg and heights ranging from 146-164 cm. In addition, the instruments used to assess physical abilities included sit and reach, 30-meter sprint, vertical jump, MFT, arrowhead, as well as ball catching and throwing, while dribbling, passing, and receiving were applied for fundamental skills. Collected data were subjected to the Wilcoxon test, Kruskal-Wallis test, and Post Hoc analysis performed using SPSS 23. Result. Wilcoxon test results showed that significance levels of 0.000-0.024 < 0.05 were obtained for physical abilities including flexibility, coordination, speed, power, agility, and endurance, while 0.000 < 0.05 was obtained for fundamental skills comprising shooting, dribbling, receiving, and passing. Kruskal-Wallis test results showed a significance level of 0.000 < 0.05 for both characteristics. Conclusion. The first and second-semester tests conducted for physical abilities and fundamental skills yielded significantly different results. Additionally, a simultaneous difference was observed between the physical abilities and fundamental skills explored. The second-semester tests particularly showed better results for both sets of characteristics examined among the Real Madrid Foundation UNY football players.

Concentration is needed for students at the stage of physical and psychological growth and development to support successful learning achievement. This research was quantitative research. The research design employed a pre-experimental one-group pretest-post-test design. The research sample was 14 students taken using a purposive sampling method. The concentration data collection technique used a GTC test before and after intervension. The data analysis techniques used were paired sample t-test and n-gain score. The results of the descriptive statistical test show a pretest score of 51.79 and post-test 63.00, meaning there is no increase in the average descriptive score. The results of the paired sample t-test show a significance value of 0.067 > 0.05, meaning there is no significant difference between the pre-test and post-test. The effectiveness test results on applying PE archery material obtain an average value of 0.23, included in the low effectiveness category. The conclusion is that the implementation of descriptive archery material PE class management is able to increase elementary school students' concentration, but there is no significant increase. The implementation of PE material on archery with more specific movement activities will encourage training to focus the mind and eyesight. The research results also provide findings that archery can also be used as a means of PE and physical fitness and as a health therapy to focus the eye's gaze in paying attention to an object to increase concentration power in learning various important things. The internship program is an annual routine activity in all faculties at Universitas Negeri Yogyakarta (UNY). This program implements a link and match between educational institutions and industry but has not been evaluated comprehensively. Therefore, conducting program evaluation research using the Context, Input, Process, and Product (CIPP) model is important. The type of research used is program evaluation research with the CIPP model. Data collection techniques in this research used questionnaires, interviews, and focus group discussions. The research subjects were UNY students who were grouped into four groups. Data were analyzed descriptively and quantitatively. The results showed that the context aspect of the internship program (goals and objectives) was in accordance with the graduate profile set at UNY. However, the general policy for organizing internships during the pandemic still needs to be developed. The systems and procedures of the academic community support the internship program, but there is still a need to improve cooperation documents and internship information systems for all faculties. The implementation of the internship program is in accordance with the activity plan set at UNY, but SIPKL needs to be developed to equalize the perception of field supervisors. The product of the internship program is in accordance with the goals and objectives set at UNY, but some students (34.16%) still have not received a job offer from the internship site. The results of this research can contribute to developing a quality-oriented internship program, which will then positively impact the cooperation relationship between universities and industry. Thus, a good working relationship will benefit both parties and potentially develop cooperation in other programs.

This research aims to produce an authentic assessment for fundamental forehand and backhand groundstroke techniques, using the actions method of learning outcomes in tennis courses, for students at Yogyakarta State University's (FIK UNY) Faculty of Sports and Health Sciences. This study employed development research with a 4D model (Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate). This research was implemented through the preliminary research stage, designing assessment instruments, and validating the instrument model developed. In this study, 30 students were chosen to sample using a purposive sampling strategy, with 5 experts serving as validators. Data was collected through questionnaires and expert validation with the Delphi technique. The collected data is analyzed and concluded. Based on the analysis of the collected data, it can be concluded that authentic assessment instruments of fundamental forehand and backhand groundstrokes techniques using the Actions Method are needed to evaluate the learning objectives of tennis courses for students at FIK UNY. This assessment model can be used to evaluate the learning outcomes of tennis courses for FIK UNY students. It makes it easy for lecturers to evaluate students' learning outcomes authentically, has excellent validity, and has a high rater reliability coefficient.

The purpose of this study is to develop an effective training model for practising basic tennis groundstrokes for children aged 8-12 years old based on the action method coaching framework. Adopting the research and development stages as suggested by Borg and Gall (2003), this study included such stages as conducting preliminary research, identifying the theoretical bases for the model, designing the model, developing the components of exercises, and validating the finished model. The present study employed several methods including in-depth interviews, literature studies, as well as Delphi method to seek experts’ judgement. The data were analyzed by considerations of data reduction and thematic coding before the results were presented and conclusions were drawn. Additionally, this study also incorporated some close-ended questionnaire items and analyzed them by means of descriptive statistics to further confirm the findings. The findings suggest that the groundstroke training model based on the action method developed is declared feasible and approved for future small-scale field testing.

The basic forehand and backhand volley techniques are as important as the basic serve, forehand and backhand groundstroke techniques in tennis, as a weapon to score points in singles and doubles games. However, teachers/coaches often find it difficult to teach an easy method in basic forehand and backhand volley techniques for children. This study aims to develop a learning model for basic forehand and backhand volley techniques based on an integrated training of Cognitive, Psychology, and Skill (CPS) to provide a better learning for junior tennis players aged 8-12 years. The research design used research and development method of 4D models, Define, Design, Development, and Disseminate using a quantitative and qualitative approach (mixed method). Quantitative data collection instruments were obtained from the results of pretest and posttest scores, while qualitative data were taken from questionnaires and interviews. The instruments was developed and validated using Content Validity Ratio analysis, Consistency Alpha Cronbach, and Anova-General Multifacet Model. The results shows that the provision of pretest and posttest multiple choice questions, observation sheets on a psychological approach, stages of training models based on skills approach, and model basic training exercises based on an integrated training approach are very helpful in the process of setting the knowledge and understanding of the mastery of basic techniques forehand and backhand volley for junior players ages 8-12. The instruments validation resulted in an excellent content validity/CVR and high reliability coefficient/ICC. Thus, the integrated training of CPS can be applied to optimize the learning of basic forehand and backhand volley for junior tennis players aged 8-12 years. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]
