This research aims to develop and produce interactive learning media based on android applications in English subjects. This type of research is research and development that refers to the 4D development model modified into 3D. The subjects of this research were first grade students of SMPN 3 Majene. The instruments used in this study were (1) media expert validation sheet to measure media feasibility, (2) product expert validation sheet to measure media feasibility, and (3) student response questionnaire to find out students' opinions on the attractiveness of the developed media. The results of the research are: (1) Development of interactive learning media based on android. (2) Learning media is declared feasible by media expert validators with a percentage of 92% in the very feasible category and experts with a percentage of 94% including the very feasible category. (3) The learning media is declared interesting based on the results of the analysis of student response questionnaires, which is 80%. At the end of this study, it can be inferred that Power Point-based Android English Learning Multimedia is feasible and ready to assist English teachers and students to gain better English learning. Teaching aids like chalkboard and power point (PPT) have commonly been used in medical teaching. With an increasing number of medical seats and introduction of competency-based curriculum, PPT is being preferred. Chalk board talk lecture is the oldest and most commonly used teaching method. After introduction of digitalized teaching in medical colleges Power point presentation Lecture method is commonly used. This study was to evaluate the feedback from MBBS students regarding opinion and preferences of chalk board and PPT lecture delivery aids. The present study was well planned, prospective and cross-sectional questionnaire-based study conducted on MBBS UG medical students in India. 200 students were selected from all years of MBBS. Google form Questionnaire was used to know advantages and drawbacks of Chalk Board and PPT lecture teaching method. In present study 52 % students preffered PPT lecture teaching, 26 % students preffered chalk board lecture teaching. 22% students preffered both PPT and Chalk board teaching methods. The results of the present study suggest that both the tools of teaching (PowerPoint or chalkboard) have some strengths and limitations. Therefore, integrated (PowerPoint and chalkboard) method of teaching is more suitable tool of teaching and learning at undergraduate medical schools. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

The development of science and technology today constrain the educators to adapt, use, or even develop tools or applications as learning media, including Arabic language learning. In MTs Al-Yusra Gorontalo City, digital technology has been utilized as Arabic language learning media, with most teachers using PowerPoint programs for teaching, but the designs are still simple and not interactive. Therefore, this article aimed to develop Arabic language learning media based on digital technology with interactive multimedia designs using PowerPoint program based on iSpring Suite 11 and test its feasibility. This research method is Research and Development (R&D) method with the ADDIE development model. The subjects of this study were eighth-grade students of MTs Al-Yusra Gorontalo City, with a sample size of 20. Media expert assessment, subject matter expert, language expert, students, and teachers were used as research data and analyzed descriptively in percentage. Based on this research, a product was obtained with a subject matter expert assessment of 82% in the highly valid category, media expert assessment of 82.5% in the highly valid category, and language expert assessment of 73.3% in the quite valid category. Students' response to media usage was in the good category with a score of 72%, and teachers' response to the ease of media usage was 76%. Based on these research results, it can be concluded that interactive multimedia with Power Point application based on iSpring Suite 11 in Arabic language subjects is feasible to be used as Arabic language learning media.

This research and development aimed to create a PowerPoint (PPT) prototype that incorporates video segments to prove targeted hypotheses. Development of the product followed a modified Luther's model with six stages: the concept of PPT actively engaging students through problem-based learning, designing student active learning via a worksheet-based PPT, especially with inductive reasoning, collecting materials, PPT assembly supported by hypothesis proving videos with about a five-minute duration, product testing, and the distributing product for online learning. This research and development successfully developed the desired PPT prototype (in the Indonesian language) with three PPT unit samples created on the topics of chemical learning of acid and base solutions. The PPT prototype followed the worksheet structure. It begins with listing background information, obtained from short introduction paragraphs, then questioning to arrive at the investigative questions, formulating hypotheses, designing proving hypotheses, collecting data, data analysis, and confirming the claimed hypothesis validity. The prototype had very good validity for most concerned learning aspects, according to content and media experts. It was also supported by appreciation from a chemistry teacher. Good product readability was implied from the completed worksheets done by secondary school student samples who had low, average, and good levels of prerequisite knowledge related to the scientific conceptions being taught. This research aims to increase student creativity by using the interactive media Power Point-Ispring. Creativity is measured using indicators: 1) the ability to think fluently (fluency), 2) the ability to think flexibly (flexibility), 3) the ability to think originality (originality), and 4) the ability to think in detail (elaboration). This research is experimental research with a pre-experimental design, with a one group pre-test post-test design type. The research instrument uses observation sheets to assess products made by students, namely interactive learning media Power Point-Ispring on science study material in elementary school. The research objects were five people from the basic education master's study program who took a science concentration. Data analysis techniques used the non-parametric statistical test Wilcoxon sign rank test. Then, an N Gain test was carried out to find out whether there was an increase in student creativity after being given learning using the interactive media PowerPoint-iSpring. According to the study's findings, the average pretest score was 52.5, the post test results percentage was 93.3, and all of the creativity markers had high N-Gain scores. Nervous system material tends to be difficult to understand and many theories need to be conveyed concisely and interestingly. This research aims to develop learning media in the form of interactive powerpoints on nervous system material that can improve learning outcomes. The research and development model uses the ADDIE model. Data collection methods use observation, interviews and questionnaires. Validity trials were carried out by material expert lecturers and media experts. Meanwhile, the practicality test was carried out by the class XI biology subject teacher and 20 students. The data analysis technique used is qualitative and quantitative descriptive analysis. The research results show that the average validity of each interactive PowerPoint is 75% in the valid category. The average practicality value for interactive PowerPoint is respectively 90% and 86.85% in the very practical category as a learning medium. Then the t-test results obtained sig. (2-tailed) of 0.001 0.05, indicating that interactive PowerPoint learning media is effective in improving student learning outcomes.

Media E-Learning Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar yang digunakan dalam penelitian ini dikembangkan melalui model ADDIE, yaitu Analyze, Design, Development, Implementation, dan Evaluation. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kelayakan Media E-Learning yang diimplementasikan pada pembelajaran daring. Uji Ahli Media dilakukan oleh dua dosen yang mengajar media pembelajaran. Uji Ahli Materi dilakukan oleh dua dosen yang mengajar geometri. Uji pengguna siswa dilakukan dengan melihat respon siswa terhadap penggunaan Media E-Learning, sedangkan Uji Ahli Pengguna guru dilakukan dengan melihat respon guru saat menggunakan Media E-Learning. Data Uji Ahli Media dan Uji Ahli Materi dikumpulkan melalui lembar validasi, sedangkan data dari Uji Pengguna dikumpulkan melalui angket respon pengguna. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa persentase validasi dari Uji Ahli Media pada aspek Interface sebesar 77,08%, Kualitas Teknis sebesar 79,17%, Penyajian dan Tata bahasa sebesar 79,17%, serta rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 78,47% dengan kategori layak. Uji Ahli Materi pada aspek Kelayakan Penyajian sebesar 84,38%, Proses Pembelajaran sebesar 87,50%, Penilaian sebesar 81,25%, serta rata-rata keseluruhan sebesar 84,38% dengan kategori sangat layak. Skor rata-rata respon pengguna siswa dan guru masing-masing sebesar 3,27 dan 3,33 dengan kategori layak. Oleh karena itu, Media E-Learning Materi Bangun Ruang Sisi Datar layak digunakan dalam pembelajaran daring.

Pembelajaran dalam metode ajar guru membutuhkan sebuah pengembangan agar siswa lebih mengerti akan bahan ajar yang diberikan oleh guru. Pengembangan media pembelajaran yang menarik dengan menggunakan power point berbasis mind mapping. Rumusan masalah dalam penelitian ini adalah Bagaimana pengembangan media power point mind mapping serta validitas media power point mind mapping di SDN 21 Pekanbaru. Tujuan penelitian adalah untuk mengetahui Bagaimana pengembangan media power point mind mapping serta validitas media power point mind mapping di SDN 21 Pekanbaru. Landasan teori adalah pengembangan media pembelajaran power point berbasis mind mapping. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian pengembangan (Research and Development) dengan model pengembangan pembelajaran ADDIE yang diujikan melalui ahli materi, ahli desain dan ahli bahasa. Metode pengumpulan data wawancara, angket dan observasi. Hasil penelitian ini adalah pengembangan media power point berbasis mind mapping pada pembelajaran tematik kelas V SDN 21 Pekanbaru sangat valid dengan rata-rata persentase skor 95% yang diujikan melalui ahli desain sebesar 98%, pada ahli materi sebesar 96% dan ahli bahasa sebesar 91% serta sangat layak untuk digunakan.

Program pemberdayaan masyarakat ini bertujuan untuk menggunakan media Power Point dan Canva sebagai media penyampaian informasi yang inovatif dan meningkatkan soft skill desain. Pelatihan ini diikuti 15 mahasiswa baru program studi Sistem Informasi STIMIK Muhammadiyah Jakarta. Program ini melakukan 2 sesi pertemuan online melalui Zoom Meating karena Universitas mempraktikkan home learning, ada kebijakan tersebut terkait wabah Covid19. Pertemuan pertama memberikan materi tentang perkembangan teknologi dan media informasi sebagai tambahan wawasan. Pertemuan kedua memberikan tutorial tentang cara menggunakan Power Point dan tools Canva untuk mendesain informasi, yaitu desain sertifikat, desain undangan, desain animasi PPT, dan konten digital lainnya. Hasil tes pretest dan postest menunjukkan bahwa nilai presentase mahasiswa baru meningkat sebesar 13%. Hasil ini mengindikasikan adanya sedikit peningkatan dalam pengetahuan wawasan dan soft skill tentang teknologi media informasi.

Berbicara merupakan kebutuhan dasar yang sangat penting harus di miliki manusia untuk berkomunikasi. Tujuan penelitian ini untuk meningkatkan kemampuan berbicara anak PAUD Irzahan usia 4-5 tahun melalui kegiatan bercerita menggunakan power point interaktif. Penelitian Tindakan digunakan sebagai jenis metode dalam penelitian ini yang dilaksanakan dalam dua siklus dengan lima kali pertemuan pada setiap siklus. Subjek penelitian adalah anak kelompok A berjumlah 10 orang anak. Instrumen yang digunakan adalah lembar observasi yang terdiri dari observasi aktivitas anak dengan menggunakan power point interaktif. Analisis data menggunakan data kuantitatif dan kualitatif. Analisis data kuantitatif dengan statistik deskriptif yaitu membandingkan hasil yang diperoleh dari siklus pertama dan siklus kedua. Sedangkan analisis data kualitatif dengan cara menganalisis data dari hasil catatan observasi dan wawancara selama penelitian dengan langkah-langkah reduksi data, display data dan verifikasi data. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan adanya peningkatan kemampuan berbicara anak melalui kegiatan bercerita menggunakan power point interaktif yang dapat dibuktikan rata-rata skor kemampuan berbicara pra-siklus 56,06%, mengalami peningkatan pada siklus I sebesar 75,00% dan pada siklus II meningkat sebesar 80,30%.

This study aims to develop a powerpoint-based spin game as a medium for evaluating institutional accounting practicum subjects for class XI accounting. Research and Development (R&D) was conducted to determine the feasibility of the product developed using the ADDIE development model (Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, Evaluation). The subjects of this study were students of class XI Accounting at SMK Negeri 6 Surabaya. Data were obtained from interviews, observations, and questionnaires in the form of material expert validation questionnaires, media experts and student responses. The results of the assessment with material validation obtained a percentage of 91.6% in the "very feasible" category, media expert validation obtained a percentage of 80% in the "enough" category, while student responses obtained a percentage of 89% in the "enough category".The assessment states that the power point-based spin game evaluation media is appropriate for use in institutional accounting practicum subjects for class XI accounting.

Introduction: The diffusion of technology into the education sector has made drastic changes in the methods used by teachers to teach, communicate and manage information. The current study describes nursing students’ experience with the effectiveness of PowerPoint-based teaching. Methods: A qualitative research approach was used and purposive sampling was conducted to select fifteen nursing students of the Hormozgan University of Medical Sciences in the Faculty of Nursing and Midwifery who had experienced PowerPoint presentations at least for one semester. Data were collected using semi-structured interviews. Results: Issues including inappropriate design, inappropriate use, effects of inappropriate use, promoted learning, structured lecture, and attractive content emerged from empirical data. Conclusion: Given that effectiveness of PowerPoint-based teaching are not related to technology itself but rather to the users of this technology, arranging training teachers are recommended in order to train teach how to use PowerPoint more efficiently.

PAI subjects seem monotonous, stiff, and unattractive due to the lack of mastery of Islamic Religious Education teachers in using PowerPoint media. This study was used as a qualitative method with data collection techniques through interviews and observations. Data analysis was used data reduction, data display, and data verification techniques. Data validation did by using member checking techniques, data triangulation, and extending the observation period. The informants were 3 PAI teachers. Research focus: 1) How was the PowerPoint display design in Islamic Religious Education learning? 2) How were Islamic Religious Education learning activities using PowerPoint media? The objectives of this research were: 1) To describe the PowerPoint display design in Islamic Religious Education learning. 2) To describe Islamic Religious Education learning activities using PowerPoint media. The findings of this study were 1) The display of the PowerPoint design was not good in every aspect, and the appearance of solid material, images, colors, and films did not match the material. 2) PAI learning activities were less conducive, active, and creative because students were not comprehending enoughand less able to explain the material.

This study aims to increase interest in learning mathematics and describe the process of learning mathematics through computer learning media with the MS Power Point program. The research method used is a quasi-experimental method of classroom action research using the PAOR procedure. The results showed that based on the data shown by the results of the questionnaire, interview or observation during the learning process took place, the average results of the questionnaire interest in learning before the action was 62.17%, after the first cycle was 69.70% and after the second cycle was 76, 88% (high) means there is an increase in interest in learning from pre-study to the first cycle of 7.53% and from the first cycle to the second cycle of 7.18%. For the average results of observations of pre-research learning interest is 38.44% in the first cycle is 52.40% and the second cycle is 70.11% From pre-research to the first cycle there was an increase of 13.96%, from the first cycle to the second cycle up 17.71%. Overall from the pre-study to the end of the study there was an increase of 31.67%. This shows that by using computer-assisted learning media MS Power Point program students become more eager to learn mathematics.

Using media in language teaching has various weaknesses in terms of design, material aspects, and in terms of language. Based on this, the problem of this research "How is the development, feasibility, response of students to the power point learning media ispring the presenter on vocabulary material?" The research aims to: develop power point learning media, ispring presenters in vocabulary material and knowing the feasibility, effectiveness, and response of students to the ispring presenter's power point learning media. This research was conducted using the Research and Development (R & D) method which adopted the development of Borg & Gall. Instruments for data collection using questionnaires and interviews. Based on the results of this study, it was found that the development of the powerpoint ispring presenter included three main points, design, material and language. The feasibility of the validation results of the media expert team obtained an average percentage of 84%. The results of the validation of the material expert team obtained an average percentage of 89%. And the results of the validation of the linguist team gained an average percentage of 92%. The response of students to the attractiveness of learning media based on small-scale trials obtained an average score of 86.5% with interpretation criteria "Very Interesting", and in large-scale trials obtained an average score of 95.7% with interpretation criteria "Very Interesting". While the average score of a teacher as users is 86% with "Very Worth" interpretation criteria. Abstrak Penggunaan media pembelajaran yang selama ini digunakan memiliki berbagai kelemahan dilihat dari segi desain, materi, dan bahasa. Berdasarkan hal tersebut, penulis merumuskan masalah “Bagaimana pengembangan, kelayakan, respon peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran power point ispring presenter pada materi kosakata?”. Adapun penelitian ini bertujuan untuk: mengembangkan media pembelajaran power point ispring presenter pada materi kosakata dan mengetahui kelayakan, keefektifan serta respon peserta didik terhadap media pembelajaran power point ispring presenter. Penelitian ini dilakukan dengan metode Research and Development (R&D) yang mengadopsi pengembangan dari Borg & Gall. Instrumen pengumpulan data menggunakan angket dan wawancara. Berdasarkan hasil penelitian ini diperoleh bahwa, pengembangan power point ispring presenter mencakup tiga hal pokok, yaitu desain, materi dan bahasa.. Kelayakan hasil validasi tim ahli media memperoleh presentase rata-rata sebesar 84%. Hasil validasi tim ahli materi memperoleh presentase rata-rata sebesar 89%. Dan hasil validasi tim ahli bahasa memperoleh presentase rata-rata sebesar 92%. Respon peserta didik terhadap kemenarikan media pembelajaran berdasarkan uji coba skala kecil diperoleh skor rata-rata 86,5% dengan kriteria interprestasi “Sangat Menarik”, dan pada uji coba skala besar diperoleh skor rata-rata 95,7% dengan kriteria interprestasi “Sangat Menarik. The article is devoted to specifying the basics of methodological support of sound processing training of future masters of musical art of performing specializations in the specialty «Musical Art». The article analyzes the general direction of professional training in the specialty «Musical Art» and defines the main content of sound processing training of future masters of musical art of performing specializations; outlines the conditions for incorporating computer information technology into the content of professional training of future masters of musical art of performing specializations. This article provides few examples of the use of multimedia computer technology and software for content of sound processing training for future masters of musical art in the specialty «Musical Art». The article contains general characteristics of the educational discipline of the cycle of professional training of the future masters of musical art «Sound processing and musical acoustics», as well as few examples of its use in the teaching of various multimedia technologies and computer programs. The article also defines the main stages of the technique of preparation of training session with the future masters of musical arts of performing specializations with the use of information multimedia computer technologies and software, as well as the basic conditions for the inclusion in the content of professional training of masters of musical arts of performing specializations of computer technology. The emphasis is placed on the use in the process of sound processing training of future masters of musical arts of performing specializations in the specialty «Musical Art» of multimedia technologies and software, which is an important component of ensuring the competitiveness of graduates in today's labor market

The fact that the low quality of learning and mathematics learning outcomes of students because the majority of math teachers still use the method of learning by way of lectures and assignments. In studying mathematics teachers should pay attention to the process of not only prioritize the achievement of learning results seen from UAS only. Therefore, the learning innovation is required. One of the innovative learning models is the Cycle Learning model. The Cycle Learning model is a student-centered learning model that can motivate students when learning, discussing, explaining, and developing. Thus, it can create an active learning atmosphere and not boring. By using media power point learning process becomes more fun. The research pattern used is quantitative approach and type of quasi-experimental research. The sampling technique used is simple random sampling. The sample used 35 experimental group students and 35 students as control group. Data collection methods used are observation, test and documentation. Data analysis technique using Independent Sample T-test. Based on the result of the research, it is concluded that (1) there is significant effect of cyclic learning model using power point toward student learning result of line material and class VII corner of MTsN Karangrejo Tulungagung. This can be seen from the value of t-test obtained of 3.741 is greater than the value of with a level of 5% that is equal to 1.994. (2) Big influence of learning model cycle using power point to student learning result of line material and grade angle VII MTsN Karangrejo Tulungagung. This can be seen from the value obtained manually that is equal to 0.92 in the interpretation table with 82% percentage.

Language is the main asset in communication. Language skills become very important in all activities. General terms that the difficulty in learning a foreign language for beginners is the linguistic rules. As well as with Japanese which have different sentence structures with Indonesian so it is not easy to be understood by the learner in general. Difficulties which often found by teachers in teaching the Japanese language sentence patterns are limited media that used to convey the subject. Therefore, the authors doin research on power point media usage model in developing basic level of Japanese sentence patterns. This study aims to determine students' ability in developing the Japanese sentence patterns. The method that used in this study is a quasi experimental. The object of this research is first grader of UPI’s Japanese education departement. The instruments used were pretest, posttest, and questionnaires. From the analysis of the data known to the average value, 34.64 pretest, posttest 7, .57, with db = 27, so the t-count acquired 16.64. t-count is greater than t-table with a significant level of 5% = 2.052 and 1% = 2,771. thus Hk accepted meaning used power point of media used model in developing a Japanese sentence patterns base rate effective in enhancing the development capabilities of basic lavel in Japanese sentence patterns of first grader of UPI’s Japanese education departement. As well as from the results of questionnaires that have been analyzed can be said that the use of media power point greatly assist students in developing a Japanese sentence patterns.

This study aims to describe the development of interactive CD learning materials based on power point to improve students’ learning outcomes within the topic of production technology, communication and transportation in grade IV. The research methods used are research and development, consisting of the preliminary study, model development, and model testing. The results show that the interactive CD learning materials developed are eligible according to the development steps. The results of media validation and the results of material validation were shown with average score of 79,8% and 87,2% respectively. The students' responses to interactive learning materials scored 81.75% on small-scale trials while large-scale trials obtained a score of 85%. Then the teacher's response scored 71.7% and 80.48% respectively. Based on the value obtained, then the interactive CD teaching materials are feasible to be applied to grade 4 elementary school students. Based on the test results of the student learning on small-scale, it showed that 63% of students passed with the score ≥75. While on a large-scale, 100% of the students passed and scored ≥75. Thus, it can be concluded that the development of interactive teaching materials is appropriate for students in grade IV of elementary school.

Each Indonesian language teacher expects his students to have skills in using Indonesian language either spoken or written. Otherwise, the observation in class XII students at SMAN 1 Tanjungsari showed that the students are not able to communicate in well and correctly Indonesian language. The students’ ability in spoken communication is still low. The use of presentation method with power point is expected to be able to increase students’ participation in learning process and improve their speaking ability. This classroom action research has purposes: (1) to know the increase of students’ participation in Indonesian language learning by using presentation method with power point, and (2) to know the increase of students’ ability in speaking using presentation method with power point. The subject of this study was class XII students at SMAN 1 Tanjungsari, Gunung Kidul. This study was taken place in SMA N 1 Tanjungsari, Gunungkidul, Jalan Baron Km 12 Kemiri, Tanjungsari, Gunungkidul. The study was conducted for 3 months, from March 1 up to June 1, 2017. The study was used two cycles. Each cycle consisted four activities: (1) plan (2) do (3) observe and (4) reflect. There were two techniques of data collecting, that was (1) observation to collect data of students’ participation and couragement to express opinion, and (2) practical test to assesed student’s speaking ability in expressing their opinion and response. Data analysis used qualitative descriptive and quantitative technique. The target indicators of the study were: (1) the indicator of students’ activity/participation ≥ 75%, and (2) the indicator of students’ achievement ≥ 90% students who reach score ≥ 75. The result of implementing presentation method with power point in Indonesian language learning showed that: (1) the use of presentation method with power point increased students’ participation in learning. The average percentage of students’ participation at cycle 1 was 63.16%, increase from 17.89% to 81.05% at cycle 2, and (2) the use of presentation method with power point increased students’ speaking ability. The average of students’ speaking ability at cycle 1 was 74.59, increasing of 3.04 to become 77.63 at cycle 2.

Objective: With technological evolution, use of power point presentation has been increased tremendously for classroom teachings in medical education. There is dearth of information that whether this technology is really liked by the students in anatomy or not. Therefore present study was conducted to assess which methodology of teaching anatomy was preferred by students: traditional (chalk & black-board), computer assisted or both when combined. Methods: A questionnaire based study was conducted that involved 250 1st year MBBS students. Students were asked to fill semi structured questionnaire that contained closed and open ended questions regarding teaching methodology. Results & Conclusion: 70.37% students favored combination of power point presentations along with traditional method, 25.93% preferred chalk and blackboard method and only 3.7% students opined that power point presentations should be the sole method of teaching. Therefore the study concludes that traditional method of lecture delivery in anatomy should be carefully amalgamated with power point presentations to meet the aspirations of students and to combat the limitations of chalk and board method.

Background and Objectives: Medical/dental colleges in Northern India cater to students with diverse backgrounds, mother tongues, levels of comprehending English, and intelligence levels. This study was conducted to identify lecture strategy and teaching aid best suited for North Indian dental and medical students. It was conducted in two parts – 1. Survey of teachers’ and students’ opinion to obtain their preferences in teaching-learning practices followed in a conventional lecture, and 2. Comparison of students’ performances after a single trial lecture with different groups of students, using different teaching aids (TAs). Materials and Methods: Opinions of 33 faculty teaching first year dental/ medical students and 506 volunteer students (320 female) were compiled. Students were divided into four groups. A single trial lecture was held with each group (on the same topic, using identical lesson plan, by the same teacher) using a different teaching aid with each group. Lecture strategy was designed according to students’ preferences (as obtained from opinion survey) regarding language of instruction and the number of mental breaks. TAs used with different groups were chalk and board (C&B), PowerPoint (PPT), overhead projector (OHP), and a combination of C&B and PPT. Pre- and posttests using multiple choice questions were conducted with each group. Results of post-test questionnaire and feedback from faculty attending the lecture were assessed for students’ satisfaction and attentiveness in all four groups. Results: Survey results indicated that although 97.6% students believed they had good/fair proficiency in English, 83.6% preferred being taught in a combination of English and Hindi; 44.3% students preferred C&B, 40.1% preferred PPT and 15.6% preferred the use of OHP as TA. After conducting a trial lecture with different TAs with each group, more than 90% students expressed satisfaction with the TA used for that group. Significantly better performance was observed in the postlecture test when C&B was used. Conclusion: The needs of students in India are different from those of their Western counterparts, and should be considered during didactic lectures to improve the students’ understanding. Post-test results were better when C&B was used, as more students were attentive and/or took notes.

Tujuan dilakukannya penelitian ini adalah untuk mengetahui; (1) apakah penerapan pembelajan berbasis multimedia menggunakan power point lebih efektifdibanding dengan pembelajaran berbasis masalah , (2) pengaruh motivasi terhadap prestasi belajar, dan (3) interaksi antara model pembelajaran dengan motivasi. Jenis penelitian ini adalah penelitian kuantitatif dengan metode eksperimen semu. Taraf signifikansi (α) yang digunakan adalah 0,05. Sampel yang diambil dua kelas, diambil dengan teknik Cluster Random Sampling. Data dikumpulkan dengan metode dokumentasi, angket motivasi dan tes efektivitas pembelajaran. Analisis data dilakukan dengan model anava 2 jalan dengan sel tak sama. Hasil uji hipotesis dengan uji anava dua jalan sel tak sama ( = 0,05) menunjukkan bahwa (1) tidak terdapat perbedaan efek antar baris terhadap variabel terikat (𝐹𝑜𝑏𝑠= 0,1970dan 𝐹𝛼 = 4,1105), (2) terdapat perbedaan efek antara kolom terhadap variabel terikat (𝐹𝑜𝑏𝑠= 16,9489 dan𝐹𝛼 =3,2569), (3) tidak ada interaksi baris dan kolom terhadap variabel terikat (𝐹𝑜𝑏𝑠= 1,8338 dan𝐹𝛼=3,2569). Kesimpulan dari hasil penelitian ini adalah (1)pembelajaran berbasis multimedia menggunakan Power Point sama efektifnya dengan pembelajaran berbasis masalahdalam meningkatkan prestasi belajar matematika siswa, (2) siswa yang memiliki motivasi tinggi lebih baik daripada siswa yang memiliki motivasi sedang maupun rendah, dan siswa yang memiliki motivasi sedang lebih baik daripada siswa yang memiliki motivasi rendah, (3) Tidak ada interaksi antara pembelajaran bebasis multimedia menggunakan Power Point dan pembelajaran berbasis masalahdengan motivasi belajar siswa terhadap prestasi belajar matematika.

The photogalvanic cell containing sodium Lauryl sulphate as micellar species, mannitol as an electron donor, and methylene blue as photo sensitizer has been used for solar energy conversion and storage. The electrical output of the cell was 999.0 mV, 85.0 A, and 849.15 W, respectively, as photopotential, photocurrent, and power at power point of the cell. The current voltage characteristics of the cell have been studied; observed conversion efficiency was 0.2664% and determine fill factor was 0.32. The performance of the cell in the dark was 45.0 min. An efficient photogalvanic cell containing oxalic acid as an electron donar, a dye bismark brown as a photosensitizer, and sodium lauryel sulphate as a surfactant has been investigated for solar energy and storage. The photopotential, photocurrent, and power generated by the photogalvanic cell were 675.0 mV, 130.0 μA, and 87.75 μW, respectively. The determined conversion efficiency of the cell was determined as 0.4704% and fill factor was 0.557. The current voltage characteristics of the cell have also been studied. The effect of diffusion parameters on the electrical output of the cell was investigated and a mechanism for the generation of photocurrent in this photogalvanic cell has also been proposed. Abstract: In our work, Rose Bengal was used as photosensitizer with Oxalic acid as reductant and Tween 80 as surfactant for the enhancement of the conversion efficiency and storage capacity of photogalvanic cell for its commercial viability. The observed value of the photogeneration of photopotential was 666mV and photocurrent was 119.5μA whereas maximum power of the cell was 79.58μW. The observed power at power point was 22.308μW and the conversion efficiency was 0.258%. The fill factor 0.328 was experimentally determined at the power point of the cell. The photogalvanic cell so developed can work for 230min in dark on irradiation for 72min, i.e. the storage capacity of the photogalvanic cell is. The effects of different parameters on electrical output of the cell were observed and a tentative mechanism has also been proposed for the generation of photocurrent in photogalvanic cell.The photogalvanic cell was subjected to the solar energy in Egypt on summer. A higher photovoltage of 815 mv was obtained. The cell can keep the energy for a longer time. This paper investigates the nature of the power point in tennis. A series of static racket impacts and a polynomial fit were used to simulate four different racket shots with increasing amounts of angular velocity-identifying the true 'power point' for each shot. A rigid body model was used to define the 'ideal point' for each shot-the impact point which theoretically yields maximum outbound ball velocity. Comparing theory with experiment revealed that the 'ideal point' is most accurate for impacts around the racket's node point (the rigid body model does not account for frame vibration). Previous research has shown that tennis players aim to strike the node point of the racket. The concept of the ideal point has potential in tuning the weight distribution of a racket to a player's shot type. The performance of dye-sensitized photogalvanic cells for the direct conversion of solar energy to electrical energy was studied with use of a new dye methyl green. The photogalvanic effect has been studied in a system containing methyl green as the photosensitizer (dye) and DTPA as the reducing agent in the presence of sodium lauryl sulphate. The effect of various parameters on electrical output of the cell, such as effect of the dye, reductant and surfactant concentration, light intensity, temperature, diffusion length, and electrode area, were observed. The photogalvanic performances (experimental conversion efficiency, fill factor, storage capacity) of this cell have also been determined. The photopotential and photocurrent generated by this system were 815 mV and 310 μA, respectively. This photogalvanic cell can be used for 55 min in the dark. Solar energy has been converted into electrical energy using an eosin-mannose system in a photogalvanic cell. The system uses solutions of sufficiently low concentration to be commercially viable. The photopotential and photocurrent generated by the system were 758.0 mV and 170.0 μA, respectively, while the maximum power and power point were 128.86 and 67.20 μW, respectively. The observed conversion efficiency was 0.6461% and the fill factor was 0.3739 against an absolute value of 1.0. The developed photogalvanic cell can operate for 75 min in the dark following irradiation for 120 min, i.e., the observed storage capacity is 62.5%. A mechanism for the photogeneration of electricity in the system has also been proposed. The developed photogalvanic cell exhibits appreciable conversion efficiency and storage capacity of solar energy, which along with its inexpensive construction make it promising for solar cell applications. The purpose of this study was to determine the effectiveness of a hybrid learning approach to deliver a computer science course concerning the Microsoft office PowerPoint 2003 program in comparison to delivering the same course content in the form of traditional lectures. A hundred and seventy-two first year university students were randomly assigned into two teaching method groups: traditional lecture instruction (TLI) and hybrid lecture instruction (HLI). Each group received six 95-min periods of instruction divided into 4 sections: a) 5-min brief outline of the key learning points, b) 40-min lecture on general knowledge c) 45-min constructivist-inspired learning activities and d) 5-min summary on key learning points. In the beginning and the end of this study students completed a 17-item multiple choice knowledge test. Two-way analysis of variances (ANOVA), with repeated measures on the last factor, were conducted to determine effect of method groups (TLI, HLI) and measures (pre-test, post-test) on knowledge test. The measures main effect was significant, as well as the groups x measures interaction effect. Two independent-samples t test were conducted to follow up the significant interaction. Differences in mean ratings of knowledge performance between the two teaching groups were not significantly different at first measure, while the TLI method group yielded a significantly lower mean rating at second measure. The findings indicated that HLI approach might be a superior option for undergraduate students on learning the Microsoft office PowerPoint 2003 program. [Copyright &y& Elsevier]

Abstract: A photosensitizer -Eosin and a reductant- Arabinose have been used in the photogalvanic cell for photochemical conversion of solar energy into electrical energy. The generated photopotential and photocurrent are 679.0mV and 240.0μA respectively. The maximum power of the cell is 162.96μW whereas the observed power at power point is 73.08μW. The conversion efficiency is 0.7026% and the fill factor is 0.2856 at the power point of the photogalvanic cell. The photogalvanic cell so developed can work for 85.0min in dark if it is irradiated for 140.0min i.e. the storage capacity of photogalvanic cell is 60.71%. A mixed dyes system containing new methylene blue and fast green as a photosensitizer in photogalvanic cell has been studied for improved solar energy conversion and storage in the present work. Ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid has been used as an electron donor. The photopotential and photocurrent generated by the cell were measured to be 738.0 mV and 120.0 μA, respectively. The effect of various parameters such as pH, reductant concentration, dye concentration, diffusion length, and electrode area on the electrical output of the cell has been studied. The observed conversion efficiency was 0.564 per cent and the maximum output (power) of cell was 88.5 μW. The photogalvanic cell can be used in the dark at its power point for 90.0 min. Abstract: A comparative study of anionic, cationic, and nonionic surfactants on photogalvanic effect was studied in a photogalvanic cell containing dioctyl sulfosuccinate (DSS), cetyltrimethylammonium bromide (CTAB), and TritonX-100 as surfactants, rhodamine 6G as photosensitizer, and oxalic acid as reductant. Observed values of photopotential, photocurrent, fill factor, conversion efficiency, and storage capacity for DSS–rhodamine 6G–oxalic acid system was, respectively, 880.0mV, 200μA, 0.41, 0.86%, and 131.0min, for CTAB–rhodamine 6G–oxalic acid system, 414.0mV, 90.0μA, 0.45, 0.24%, and 68.0min, and for TritonX-100–rhodamine 6G–oxalic acid system, 672.0mV, 165.0μA, 0.38, 0.55%, and 96.0min. This study observes and examines how upper intermediate to advanced level college students perform and perceive one-topic-for-each student presentation as a means of learning English. It is also to have the prospective medical doctors ready for their future use of English presentation and paper writing since such demand is on the rise in the medical field. The 49 second year medical students enrolled in English reading and writing class of spring semester 2008 were given a single topic for each at least two weeks prior to their presentation in class as part of writing assignment. They were encouraged to be creative, informative and fun to induce class participation. At the end of the semester, the questionnaire was given to learn of students' opinion on the presentation. Based on the presentation and questionnaire, the data were analyzed to see if preparing and giving presentation was conducive for medical students. The results revealed that students wrote an average of 51-sentence (587 words) paper, almost double the previous year writing assignment. And 92% of the students felt presentation on different topics was interesting and helpful for learning English, and 80% of them felt having presentation in class was more effective than the traditional face-to-face lecture classes. More than two-thirds of the students (69%) thought that preparing for their class presentation provided them with a chance to learn new vocabulary, expressions as well as knowledge in English. Abstract: The photogalvanic effect was studied in a photogalvanic cell containing ethylene diamine tetraacetic acid [EDTA] as reductant and thionine and azur-B as photosensitizers. The photopotential and photocurrent generated were 745.0mV and 76.0μA, respectively. The observed conversion efficiency was 0.18% and the maximum output (power) of the cell was 56.62μW.
