ObjectiveTo investigate the resistance level of adult Aedes albopictus to commonly used insecticides in urban areas of Huzhou City， and analyze the trend of insecticide resistance.MethodsAedes albopictus larvae were collected from different urban areas of Huzhou City in 2019 and 2020. The larvae were reared to adults for determining resistance using the WHO standard test kits by contact tube method.ResultsThe mortality was 97.06%‒100.00% in adult Aedes albopictus mosquitoes exposed to 0.4% beta-cypermethrin， 0.1% deltamethrin， 0.5% malathion， 0.05% propoxur and 3% permethrin in 2019. While the adult mosquitoes exposed to 0.4% beta Cypermethrin， 0.08% beta Cypermethrin， 0.03% deltamethrin， 0.4% permethrin， 0.5% malathion and 0.02% propoxur in 2020， the adjusted mortality were 98.58%， 89.09%， 85.64%， 91.34%， 91.43% and 100% respectively . When the insecticide doses on medicated paper were high， the Huzhou populations of Aedes albopictus were sensitive to beta-cypermethrin， deltamethrin， malathion and propoxur， and showed suspected resistance to permethrin. While the Aedes albopictus were exposed to low testing dose， they showed suspected resistance to beta-cypermethrin， deltamethrin， permethrin and malathion， but remained to be sensitive to propoxur.ConclusionThe adult Aedes albopictus in Huzhou City from 2019 to 2020 was still sensitive to propoxur， but their resistance to malathion changes from sensitive to resistant. When the contact tube method is used for insecticide resistance， it is suggested that the accurate diagnostic dose should be obtained first before conducting further insecticide resistance tests.

Meningococcal vaccination in Chinese national immunization program (NIP) includes polysaccharide vaccine against Neisseria meningitidis serogroup A (MPV-A) and polysaccharide vaccine against Neisseria meningitidis serogroup A and C(MPV-AC). This study aimed to assess the cost-effectiveness of an alternative strategy using polysaccharide conjugate vaccine against Neisseria meningitidis serogroup A,C,W,Y(MCV-ACWY) and polysaccharide vaccine against Neisseria meningitidis serogroup A,C,W,Y(MPV-ACWY). From a societal perspective, we constructed a decision tree-Markov model to simulate the economic and health consequences of meningococcal disease in a 2023 birth cohort with the current meningococcal vaccination strategy and the alternative. Parameters of epidemiology, vaccine efficacy, cost, and utility were extracted from database and previous literatures. The sensitivity analysis was implemented to evaluate the robustness of the model. Compared to the current practice, the alternative strategy could avoid 513 meningococcal disease cases, 53 sequelae and 47 deaths. The ICER was estimated at $16899.81 /QALY, under the threshold of one time of the GDP per capita of Zhejiang province in 2023. The incidence of meningococcemia, the incidence of meningococcal meningitis, the case fatality of meningococcemia, the vaccine efficacy of MCV-ACWY and the price of MCV-ACWY would influence the cost-effectiveness of the meningococcal vaccination strategies. At the threshold, the probability of cost-effectiveness was 14.76% for the current strategy and 55.98% for the alternative strategy, respectively. The current meningococcal vaccination strategy had effectively prevented meningococcal disease at a low cost, but with limited serogroup coverage. Purpose: The resurgence of pertussis has occurred around the world. However, the epidemiological profiles of pertussis cannot be well understood by current diseases surveillance. This study was designed to understand the seroepidemiological characteristics of pertussis infection in the general population of Huzhou City, evaluate the prevalence infection of pertussis in the population, and offer insights to inform adjustments in pertussis prevention and control strategies. Methods: From September to October 2023, a cross-sectional serosurvey was conducted in Huzhou City, involving 1015 permanent residents. Serum samples were collected from the study subjects, and pertussis toxin IgG antibodies (Anti-PT-IgG) were quantitatively measured using enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA). The analysis included the geometric mean concentration (GMC) of Anti-PT-IgG, rates of GMC≥40IU/mL, ≥100IU/mL, and <5IU/mL. Stratified comparisons were made based on age, vaccination history, and human categories. Results: Among the 1015 surveyed individuals, the geometric mean concentration (GMC) of Anti-PT-IgG was 10.52 (95% CI: 9.96–11.11) IU/mL, with a recent infection rate of 1.58%, a serum positivity rate of 11.43%, and a proportion with <5IU/mL of 40.49%. Among 357 children with clear vaccination history, susceptibility decreased with an increasing number of vaccine doses (Z = -6.793, P < 0.001). The concentration of Anti-PT-IgG exhibited a significant post-vaccination decline over time (Z = -5.143, P < 0.001). In women of childbearing age, the GMC of Anti-PT-IgG was 7.71 (95% CI: 6.90–8.62) IU/mL, with no significant difference in susceptibility among different age groups (χ2 = 0.545, P = 0.909). The annual pertussis infection rate in individuals aged ≥3 years was 9321 (95%CI: 3336–16039) per 100,000, with peak infection rates in the 20–29, 40–49, and 5–9 age groups at 34363 (95%CI: 6327–66918) per 100,000, 22307.72 (95%CI: 1380–47442) per 100,000, and 18020(95%CI: 1093–37266) per 100,000, respectively. Conclusions: In 2023, the actual pertussis infection rate in the population of Huzhou City was relatively high. Vaccine-induced antibodies exhibit a rapid decay, and the estimated serum infection rate increases rapidly from post-school age, peaking in the 20–29 age group. Purpose: To assess the epidemiology of seasonal influenza in Huzhou City, Zhejiang Province, China, during 2018–2022 and provide insights for influenza prevention. Methods: Following the National Influenza Surveillance Program, we conducted pathogen surveillance by randomly sampling throat swabs from cases with influenza-like illness (ILI) at two sentinel hospitals. Results: From 2018 to 2022, a total of 3,813,471 cases were treated at two hospitals in Huzhou, China. Among them, there were 112,385 cases of Influenza-Like Illness (ILI), accounting for 2.95% of the total number of cases. A total of 11,686 ILI throat swab samples were tested for influenza viruses, with 1,602 cases testing positive for influenza virus nucleic acid, resulting in a positivity rate of 13.71%. Among the positive strains, there were 677 strains of A(H3N2) virus, 301 strains of A(H1N1) virus, 570 strains of B/Victoria virus, and 54 strains of B/Yamagata virus. The ILI percentage (ILI%) and influenza nucleic acid positivity rate showed winter-spring peaks in the years 2018, 2019, 2021, and 2022, with the peaks concentrated in January and February. Additionally, a small peak was observed in August 2022 during the summer season. No peak was observed during the winter-spring season of 2020. The highest proportion of ILI cases was observed in children aged 0–4 years, followed by school-age children aged 5–14 years. There was a positive correlation between ILI% and influenza virus nucleic acid positivity rate (r = 0.60, p < 0.05). Conclusions: The influenza outbreak in Huzhou from 2020 to 2022 was to some extent influenced by the COVID-19 pandemic and public health measures. After the conclusion of the COVID-19 pandemic, the influenza outbreak in Huzhou may become more severe. The diversification of Tiliacoreae and the speciation of Eleutharrhena are closely linked to Southeast Asia's most northerly rainforests which originate from the Himalayan uplift. Migration routes across biogeographical zones within the Asian clade, including those of Eleutharrhena, Pycnarrhena, and Macrococculus, and their population structures are still unexplored. We combine endocarp morphology, phylogenetic analyses, divergence time estimation, ancestral area reconstruction, as well as SCoT method to reconstruct the past diversification of Eleutharrhena macrocarpa and to understand their current distribution, rarity, and evolutionary distinctiveness. The disjunct, monospecific, and geographically restricted genera Eleutharrhena and Macrococculus both have a dry aril, a unique feature in Menispermaceae endocarps that further confirms their close relationship. Pycnarrhena and Eleutharrhena appeared during the end of the Oligocene c. 23.10 million years ago (Mya) in Indochina. Eleutharrhena speciation may be linked to climate change during this time, when humid forests became restricted to the northern range due to the Himalayan uplift. Differentiation across the Thai–Burmese range could have contributed to the isolation of the Dehong populations during the Miocene c. 15.88 Mya, when exchange between India and continental Asia ceased. Dispersal to the Lanping–Simao block and further differentiation in southeastern and southern Yunnan occurred during the Miocene, c. 6.82 Mya. The specific habitat requirements that led to the biogeographic patterns observed in E. macrocarpa contributed to a low genetic diversity overall. Population 1 from Dehong, 16 from Pu'er, and 20 from Honghe on the East of the Hua line have a higher genetic diversity and differentiation; therefore, we suggest that their conservation be prioritized. Background and Aims: To investigate the effects of serum uric acid (SUA) level and its fluctuation on renal dysfunction in gout patients.Methods and Results: Data on gout patients was collected from Huzhou city electronic medical record system data sharing platform, and information about relevant diagnoses, prescriptions, biochemical indexes and imaging characteristics was extracted. The gout patients with baseline normal renal function were enrolled in this analysis, and the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR) < 60 mL/min/1.73 m2 was defined as renal dysfunction. The generalized estimating equation and Cox regression analysis were used. A total of 1009 patients with gout were enrolled. Compared with the reference group (normal baseline SUA with endpoint SUA to be < 6 mg/dL), endpoint SUA ≥ 10 mg/dL was associated with an increased risk of renal dysfunction (baseline normal SUA group: HR [95% CI] = 3.28 [1.21, 8.91]; baseline high SUA group: HR [95% CI] = 3.01 [1.43, 6.35]). Subgroup analysis of 771 SUA stable gout patients demonstrated that SUA levels at 8-10 (excluding 10), and ≥10 mg/dL were significantly associated with an increased risk for renal dysfunction, with HR [95%CI] to be 1.99 [1.05, 3.77], and 2.98 [1.38, 6.43], respectively.Conclusion: Regardless of the baseline SUA level, SUA >10 mg/dL was a significant risk factor for renal dysfunction. SUA between 6 and 10 mg/dL was a potential risk factor for renal dysfunction. No significant correlation of SUA fluctuation and renal function was found. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Based on plot research along the riparian zone of Jialing River, analysis and statistics on all vascular plants are as follows: (1) These plants included 9 families, 12genera,21 species of the pteridophyta; 1 family,1 genera,1 species of gyrnnosperrn; 67 families,188 genera,306 species of angiospertn; (2)The flora is mainly composed of annual herb species,biennial or perennial herb species and shrub species; (3)In the riparian zone statistics of vascular plants showed that the area types of family, genera and species are abundant. For family types there are 7 types and 5 subtypes;for genera types,there are 14 types and 17 subtypes,and for species types, there are 15 types and 17 subtypes; (4)In the riparian zone the phenomena of dominant families and genera is obvious; (5) The riparian flora showed temperate in nature. Based on the observations that there exists an analogy between the Reissner–Nordström–Anti-de Sitter (RN–AdS) black holes and the van der Waals–Maxwell liquid-gas system, in which a correspondence of variables is (ϕ,q) ↔ (V,P), we study the Ruppeiner geometry, defined as Hessian matrix of black hole entropy with respect to the internal energy (not the mass) of black hole and electric potential (angular velocity), for the RN, Kerr and RN–AdS black holes. It is found that the geometry is curved and the scalar curvature goes to negative infinity at the Davies' phase transition point for the RN and Kerr black holes. Our result for the RN–AdS black holes is also in good agreement with the one about phase transition and its critical behavior in the literature. [ABSTRACT FROM AUTHOR]

Employing the Quark Mass Density- and temperature-dependent model and the Hartle's method, we have studied the slowly rotating strange star with uniform angular velocity. The mass–radius relation, the moment of inertia and the frame dragging for different frequencies are given. We found that we cannot use the strange star to solve the challenges of Stella and Vietri for the horizontal branch oscillations and the moment of inertia I45/(M/Ms)>2.3. Furthermore, we extended the Hartle's method to study the differential rotating strange star and found that the differential rotation is an effective way to get massive strange star.
