This work addresses the evolution of considerations about the quality of human beings and the ownership of their fundamental rights. This determination has excluded reference to man's spirituality and has considered his dignity in relation to the genetic code without reference to other elements. Both Transhumanism and Posthumanism have associated the person with their corporeal aspects, but proposing the enhacement or improvement of these traits, until reaching the creation of a post-human person. With the existence of autonomous cybernetic beings or hybrids of people and machines, which is the essence of the so-called Singularity, questions are raised about the preservation of humanity in traditional terms, which leads to reflect on what makes us human, the status of fundamental rights and the activity of beings other than humans capable of autonomous ethical evaluations.
